ECOWITT Weather Stations, Wireless Color Forecast LCD
ECOWITT Weather Stations, Wireless Color Forecast LCD Dispaly with 1 Remote Sensors, Color screen for Indoor/Outdoor Thermo-Hygrometer Barometric Pressure Weather station for Home
Like: Great colour screen, well featured. Easy to setup. Importantly it can be calibrated for temperature, local pressure and humidity which fine tunes accuracy. The outside sensor seems to have a very strong signal and this shows in the display as well. It has a very comprehensive and reasonably well written User Manual.
Dislike: I went to get a digital copy of the User Manual and the website does not have this model. Using the QR Code gets a “No Data” as does going and searching for the manual. Maybe this is an old model?
Purchased this basic weather station to replace an earlier non-illuminated LCD weather station which was very hard to read and for which the outdoor sensors and wiring failed quickly in outdoor conditions.
The Ecowitt behaves more like professional equipment.
Very easy to set up and configure.
The large back illuminated display is easy to read.
The outdoor sensor seems adequately robust for fixed outdoor under rain shelter usage.
The readings appear accurate compared to my limited range of reliable comparative equipment.
The purchase price is competitive.
For the money, I am yet to find any downside.
Bright clear easy to read display.
Temperature, humidity and barometric pressure readings compare very well with local official bureaux of meteorology readings and local amateur stations on the Web.
However as to its weather forecasts – I think it guesses – much like the official weather bureaux guesses – don’t take them too seriously.
The display unit can work with battery power, or with a mains power supply. The problem with battery power is that the display doesn’t light up until you press a button. The problem with mains power is that the unit loses your setup and calibration if there is a mains failure. The instructions state that you should use battery “OR” mains power. I elected to use battery “AND” mains power. Nothing bad happened, and the above two problems are averted.
To ensure the display is always on, out display unit is mains powered. You still need to put batteries in it to ensure it keeps its settings during a power outage.
This is a fantastic weather station. I have mine plugged into the wall. The display is clear and bright. It was easy to setup. My last weather station was 10 years old and only LCD, so having a coloured display is a great step up. The temperatures look accurate. The delivery was quick.
This indoor/outdoor thermometer work well. We have the main display indoors and the outdoors unit about 6 metres from the house and 20 metres from the main display; communicating through several walls and steel mesh security screens. Works well and the indoors display is bright and colourful. Exactly what we wanted.
I found this item to be easy to set, easy to plug in & use. I’ve checked with other devices and the difference is minimal so one of them may be out but only so slightly. I’m getting older now and need glasses but don’t need them to read this I find the size just right for me. I’m happy. It’s much better than my previous one.
Have had my ECOWITT for a week now and am very pleased. Its display is (in my opinion) well designed and easy to read, with two levels of backlighting (both can be turned off if wanted and it’s still a readable display). Has its own power adapter and will also run on batteries alone.
The temperature and humidity readings very closely match one of the official government weather stations on our coast, about 15 km to the north of us.
This unit has a bright and and easy to read screen. It also packs a lot of weather info into a small screen. Unfortunately, accuracy is not as good as described. The indoor humidity level is are consistency 10% (or more) than my other weather stations. Also, the predictive screen icons are regularly incorrect.
I have had this set up for a couple of weeks and am happy with it so far. Obviously the longevity of this unit is yet to be seen but everything else is great. It is very accurate compared to 3 other temp sensors around the place. The display is good, but the sort of coloured lcd/led display that cannot be viewed at an angle. It is quite bright ( probably not great for a bedside table ) and easy to read in a well lit room. The transmitter works well at 20m through an insulated metal wall with thick wood lining, being able to read the temp on the transmitter is a nice touch to. All in all a nice product that I can highly recommend.
I like that it resets the temperature and humidity automatically.
I dislike that the moon phases are shown as seen in the Northern Hemisphere. I live in Australia.
It’s an economy model weather station. I just got it to sit in my study, so I can tell the temperature outside, as well as in the room. It’s worked perfectly, and performed the role well, and the temp and pressure readings match the official ones. Good clear display too.
Fantastic looking addition to my desk. Love the indoor/outdoor functionality. Readings are accurate and the screen is very clear and easy to read. Love it.
I use this in my study. It was easy to setup and calibrate the Pressure.
The numbers are easy to read and I like the day/night brightness settings.
The only niggle is the Green indicator underneath the Clouds seems to have faded almost right out. To me it looked like a reminder to mow my lawn.
All in all I can recommend this weather station.

Liked ease of setting up.
Dislide the inability to collect rain data

Great product easy to read. Recommend it to anyone wanting an inside outside thermometer with humidity sensor as well.
I loved it, but I don’t really understand the buying online…I only wanted two, but seems like I bought 7
Great on the kitchen bench showing what is happening in weathe

I recommend it highly.
imble and mobile, perfect for placing on the door to see temp when leaving the house
Great little unit that seems very accurate and easy to read

Ours sits in the kitchen so we can see the data from outside at a glance – easy to read, great sized numbers.
Does take a little time to set up and some patience to go back when you have a fat finger moment.
Great device for the ptice wirks well not sure about the moo
Liked the colour display and all the information is easy to read

Easy to set up and I like it. Not very accurate when predicting rain though, just like out weather forecasters.
