Speed control and 2-speed switch

I`ve had one of these for a couple of weeks now and have been able to try it out a bit now.
Light and well balanced but still weighty enough.
Solid construction
On hammer action it drills hard red brick without a problem.
A twist of the selector ring engages normal drill which will happily drill aluminium, wood or mild steel.
A twist further puts it into screwdriver mode, great for removing screws and putting them in and where the torque control helps make sure you don`t over tighten them.
The twin speed is very useful, giving more control over every job.
Battery life is good, I`ve not run the first one down yet so having two should mean it`s always ready to use.
The twist ring is quite stiff to turn but that also means it should stay tight and not slip to easily.
The accessories supplied with it are a good starting point although you will probably need more drill bits in different sizes. I`ve not found any problem with the other bits and bobs either and the sturdy storage case is nice.
All in all, a nice quality, value for money tool for home DIY.

Was actually really amazed by this tbh.. only bought to put blinds up… but it will do a ton more..its an amazing tool… and its absolutly premium..the thing has a very satisfying heft to it..its solid… and actually quite powerful.. has a few operating modes that all shine tbh.. i used the drill setting and screwdriver setting to put up blinds and it was a breeze..am glad I bought this.. can use it for almost any everyday task tbh…

Fit for purpose.Used to drill through brickwork & worked well.Easy to handle.Good selection of drill bits
This is good drill for the price. First use was to drill into brick to put up a door bell and was surprised how it cut into the brick with not much effort. If you put too much pressure on the drill it slowed it down but as long as you are not silly it works well. Well pleased for the money (and you have the added value of a second battery)

I wanted a second drill/driver so I could have the drill in one and the driver in the other, it saves having to swop over! This D. D. is exactly what I wanted plus the battery life is excellent, having two is an advantage, something Black and Decker should address!
It’s been perfect for drilling into wood and aluminium. Battery life is good. Nice lightweight drill.
I got this as a second drill as it came with a good range of bits. You get 2 batteries. Good bit of power light. Will worth the money.
Haven’t used it yet but it looks a nice bit of kit and it’s great to have two batteries.
