Wonderful device – very comfortable and allows me to use the Quest 2 much longer than I did before just from a comfort standpoint, plus the battery really extends the usage time. Everyone should have one of these!

I can’t believe I spent so much time being uncomfortable just because I didn’t want to spend a bit of money! It wasn’t even like, a TON of money! I’ve spent way more on dumb dates than this head strap. 10/10. LOVE it and the extra battery life.

The GeekVR head strap is definitely more comfortable than the Elite strap (with battery pack) from Meta. With the elite strap, while it was secure, most of the weight rested on my cheeks, and if I was playing for more than 30 minutes, I would find myself almost scrunching my face to try to give them a rest while I was wearing it. With this strap, the weight is on the top of your head, not your cheeks. Obviously the weight is still there, it’s not magically gone, but it’s far more comfortable and more evenly dispersed. Plus it’s way cheaper than the Meta one! Highly recommend giving this head strap a try.

eally good Halo strap with hot swappable battery, very comfy, much more so then the m2pro, and back does not slide up.

The design is great and it really feels like using a different device when using it.
The hotswappable battery is a great feature.
However it feels a bit cheap, espacially at the main hinge, the inside has some sharp edges that dont feel great.

Overall a good product, too bad it doesn’t feel like one.

Coming from the Kiwi elite strap it had to be good and it is. It rests on your head instead of your nose, which results in longer relaxed play sessions. The battery pack helps with that even more. Must buy!

    “Long Story Short”

It is premium quality strap with great capacity battery
It is extremely comfortable and easy to use
Premium quality plastic, lightweight and flexible
Strap is almost weightless and perfect for long sessions
Extra battery will make sure you have extra power just in case 🙂

Value for money 10 out of 10

Enjoying this even though the original strap wasn’t a bother this is better and the battery included is a must.

The product just works and you forget it’s even there or special. But it is.

This is a pretty comfortable head strap. I would even say that it’s more comfortable than the original head strap that comes with the oculus Quest 2 .The main reason why I chose this head strap is because of the swappable battery. Swapping out the battery is so simple since it has magnetic connectors. I think that is a good and unique feature. Being able to swap out batteries without any guesswork has really been convenient. Another cool feature is that when I’m not playing with my vr, I can use the swappable battery as a power bank to charge my phone. I will be getting a couple more extra batteries to have on standby.

My son ordered this and he says the comfort is much better than the other strap was. Fits better on him. Theo Lu thing we do t like is that the extra battery beeps when it is not blogged into something. Other than this, this was a great purchase.

This headstrap is pretty great, not only does it greatly extend the battery life of the quest 2 with a 5000mah battery, but it also has some really positive comfort improvements.

The quest 2 by default has a really awful head strap, which means that it is basically necessary to get a replacement, on top of this the battery is not always enough for extended play sessions. This headstrap quickly and easily fixed both of those issues so in my eyes it is amazing.

Would recommend for anyone looking for an easy to install upgrade for their device.

Overall a good battery pack, probably one of the best out there. Has a good balance, uses soft material and the battery lasts long. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the front of the headstrap on top of the forehead is not adjustable and therefore takes a bit of fidgeting around before getting it to a good spot.

Out of the box, this strap felt quite simple, both in its design and how it generally feels. Being a Halo strap type of strap I felt it should have cupped the head a little better, because its narrow rear pad doesn’t do this enough, so overall, it felt like the whole headset was barely holding onto my head in places until I adjusted it. I find that the fixed position or lack of adjustment to the top forehead pad might lead to this strap not fitting certain head shapes. For me it was ok, and I think the fixed nature of the strap will solve a common issue where some people don’t wear this part of the strap properly on some Halo straps. Slotting in the battery can sometimes trigger passthrough mode too, so overall, it feels that the whole design could have been done better. An extra ridge to keep it in place might have also helped with disconnections as well as prevented the battery from sliding out of the slot.

The 5,000mAh battery will extend playtime by up to an additional 2 hours, which is ok for a few sessions over a few days, and with an extra battery pack you can charge and swap each battery for continued uninterrupted playtime on your Quest 2. It took under 3 hours to fully charge the 5,000mAh battery using a Power Delivery supported 100W wall adapter. You can choose to charge the battery with it connected to the headset, and in turn, it will first charge the Quest 2 before charging its own battery. Again, data passthrough is not supported on this USB-C port.

Overall its not a bad head strap with battery. Maybe for the price it could have come with an additional battery?

Anyone who buys an Oculus has to ditch the supplied headstrap asap, it ruins the product.

There are a variety of better straps on the market to suit all pockets and game styles.

This one is offering a hotswappable battery pack that will prolong your game time.

The strap is easy to fit to the oculus and is nice and secure, the adjustment knob turns nicely and it sits well on the forehead. Overall a dramatic improvement on the standard strap.

The battery fits nicely into the back of the strap and balances the weight out a bit, which is nice.

I’ve dropped one star because the battery pack doesn’t have any visual guide on how much charge is remaining, most battery packs and powerbanks have 4 led dots or a % display, which really helps.

This headstrap is a massive upgrade from the standard strap supplied with the Quest 2. It fits the headset perfectly and is easy to install. Once in place there is a good range of adjustment to ensure a good fit. In use, it stays securely in place and feels way more comfortable, as the weight distribution is more evenly spread across your head.

The removable magnetic battery pack is really excellent, providing a decent amount of extra time using the headset. Being placed at the back of the headset also evens out the weight distribution further, making the headset feels more centred.

The strap does make the overall headset quite a lot more bulky than standard, so you may have trouble fitting your quest into the smaller cases out there with this strap in place. However it is a more compact solution than other straps I’ve tried, so in my case I can actually fit it into my case.

The build quality is excellent. It looks the part and feels sturdy enough to stand the test of time.

Overall I really like this head strap. Recommended.

I like this as it is honestly as comfortable as it claims and the battery design is as handy as it says. Why more manufacturers dont make packs for the quest with pass through charging i dont know. This goes one step further and uses a magnetic contact interface for the battery power so that you can just lift out a flat pack and drop a fresh one in without interruption or any need to press buttons etc. the only thing i found (and i may be missing something) is that no links are provided for spare batteries. Make it easier to obtain spares and its a winne

I highly recommend Quest 2 users who have not upgraded their straps or have upgraded to an Elite/Kiwi design to give this a try. The fit, at least for me was infinitely more comfortable using the forehead pad/rest point than the Elite/Kiwi design with the strap that runs front to back on top of your head. This alone made the experience so much more enjoyable and immersive, with the additional battery pack included to extend sessions this purchase is a total win and can’t recommend it enough to try for those who have not yet.

I’ve found these days that i mostly get my Oculus out when I have friends over. It can be a bit of a pain adjusting the standard strap when swapping between lots of people.

This makes the whole process so much simpler with the twist adjustment on the back. Not only does literally takes seconds, but the fit is so much better too. I’ve actually found that the visuals are improved, just by proxy of having a well fitting strap.

The other huge advantage that I have found from this is the forehead support. It feels so much more secure and is just simply more comfortable and allows for longer sessions.

The battery is great for the obvious reasons, it significantly lengthens the playable time and also has pass through charging. What I didn’t expect is that the battery also balances the weight of the whole thing on your head. Obviously with the standard headset the weight is all on the front. This actually balances it out enough to take pressure off the back of your neck which makes a noticeable difference.

These are really easy to fit, don’t let that out you off. Plenty of videos on YouTube if you want to make sure.

The headset itself is well made and feels strong. I’d expect this to last the life of the oculus itself.

I’d almost go as far as to say the headstrap is so much better than the original that it almost becomes a necessity. I couldn’t go back now.

This GEEKVR Q2 Pro Battery head strap is so much better than the default strap you get with the Quest 2. The design is actually very similar to the design of the new default Quest Pro. It is surprisingly comfortable with a lovely thick padded cushion at the back as well as on the forehead strap. It’s easy to get on and off with a few twists of the dial at the back. The instructions are good enough and it’s not hard to put together.

The battery pack is great, installed easily thanks to the magnets on the bottom that allow it to just snap into place in the strap. With an extra battery could essentially have endless playtime by keeping one charging while you use the other, then swap them out without even taking off the headset. The battery also doubles as a power bank which is cool and it does a good job of balancing the weight of the headset when it’s on.

The battery pack also has passthrough charging which means when you are done you can leave the battery connected to the strap and plug it in which will recharge both the battery as well as the Quest’s internal battery.

Overall this is a really great strap for the Quest 2 and lightyears beyond the default strap.

I found this head strap a lot more comfortable than the default strap that comes with the VR headset, as these have a thicker layer of extra padding! The kit came with a useful manual, and it was easy to assemble (the battery and the back padding had to be attached manually). It was a tight fit initially, but luckily I was able to adjust the length of the straps. However, I found the back padding too wide, personally, a thinner band would have fit my head shape better.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe padded points on the headrest make playing for long times comfortable, which is nice because the included battery definitely extends my playtime. I used to be only able to play for 2 -3 hours max, but now even after 3 hours of play, my battery remained full.
My one annoyance with this is the battery doesn’t remain seated, so every so often it’ll disconnect and reconnect, beeping every single time. If there’s a way to disable the beeping, I haven’t found it in the included instructions. It was also slightly difficult to attach it to my oculus, requiring some brute force to get it on.
Other than that, this is a quality product and would recommend for extended playtime if you don’t mind the occasional beeping.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersItem arrived nicely packaged, but the box was much smaller than I expected…which is fine since it’s not loaded with all sorts of extra cardboard, etc. Build quality seems in line with the Oculus headset and matches color. As others have mentioned, there’s a sticker on the back of the head strap that’s difficult to remove, but I was able to get it off easily by heating it with a hairdryer for about 15-20 seconds.

Assembly was easy…the back head cushion snaps in and doesn’t seem to matter which way it goes. The instructions say to slide the arms onto the headset, but I found it quite difficult to slide them very far, and I wanted them all the way forward. I found it much easier to hook the top edge and snap the bottom in place…but I don’t know if the plastic would eventually break doing that. Seemed to work OK for me, and I haven’t needed to adjust it afterwards. I wish the forehead band could be adjusted so it could potentially rest on top of your head, but I don’t find it uncomfortable…and I don’t know if I’d prefer it that way but would be nice to have the option. The back tilts up easily which makes putting it on nice as well, hold it to your face and slide the back down.

    For weight reference:
    Original: 48 g
    Geek VR: 354 g (battery 122 g)

So, you can feel the weight difference, but it’s not an issue as it feels much more supportive, and the battery makes it feel more balanced front to back. However, I do notice that extra weight when moving your head side to side quickly and the headset will tend to lag and overshoot your movement a bit…I don’t think it’s too bad though. One thing I that might help is if the back pad wrapped around the side more (like the Orzero Head Strap which I have as well)

The head strap has the USB-C chord built in, so you can leave it plugged into the headset, and charge both the headset and battery by plugging into the top of the battery. My only complaints here are:
    1) I wish the chord plugged into both the headset and the strap, so it could be replaced if needed
    2) I would have liked some way to support the chord…since I have the arms all the way forward there’s a bit of slack. Maybe just a stick on loop you could attach to keep it secured?

The battery pack seems very nice, and it’s great that it can also be used as a portable power pack for other things like a phone. The instructions are a little lacking in regards to the battery though. I don’t remember seeing anything about recommended charging, although most people would likely just swap their current charging method from the headset to the battery pack. The instructions also label the power button, but don’t explain that to turn off the battery, you double press the power button quickly…and it takes a second or two for the green light to turn off so not the most intuitive. I tried a long press at first but that didn’t work, and only learned of the double tap from another video review online.

I didn’t test how much longer the headset will last with a fully charged battery, but even without the battery I like the head strap…so extended playtime is a bonus. And since the battery is swappable, you can always buy extras. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Great upgrade with versatile battery pack

If you are an avid VR player or even if you’re not and you use your VR once in a while when you remember you have one, this is definitely a must-buy. This is 100x better than the original strap that it comes with. It’s comfortable, it’s easy to use, and best of all it’s quick to put on and off especially if you’re swapping back and forth with different people. No more adjusting and making sure the straps on your head are just right for the next person. You simply put it on and then turn the dial. DONE.

Not only is just that enough to get it, but it also comes with a 5000mAh battery that prolongs your VR battery life for that extra wireless time. I have not tested it exactly to see how much time it actually extends but anything is better than nothing. It’s simple to charge and it magnetically attaches to the back of your headset so it’s out of the way and easy to put on and take off.

I can use it for a long time without it weighing too heavily on my head. All the cushions and padding are soft and sufficient for long use. If you don’t have a headpiece for your Quest 2 you should definitely get this one.

    Absolutely Love This Thing

The actual head strap is very comfortable and completely supportive so it doesn’t feel like the VR is hanging off your face. The battery pack is pretty sweet, you can charge just the little battery pack instead of having to find somewhere to plug in the whole headset, and if you got a couple more battery packs you would never need to plug the headset in again!

The GEEKVR 5,000 mAh Meta Quest 2 Head Strap is both a wonderful addition and a hindranceto me getting my household chores done. It is a wonderful addition because it allows me to continue “oculu-lating” for hours without the confinementof a 16-foot power cord, but it is also a hindrance to house cleaning for that same reason.
The head strap does add some extra weight to the oculus, but most of the extra weight is nullified by the forehead support panel. I can’t honestly say how long the battery lasts, because I charge it nightly. However, I can say that the first day I received it, I operated my oculus for more than five hours using the power from a completely charged oculus and the GEEKVRbattery pack without having to recharge either. That’s certainly enough power for me, because I do want to limit my time under thehood. I don’t want to wear the oculus for several hours every day. I know there are a lot of battery head straps for oculus available on Amazon, but I can attest that this one is top notch.

I primarily use my Oculus for exercise, but my kids like to take it and use it for all kinds of things as well. My young kids need the factory straps to be adjusted and in most cases, with my previous battery pack, it made it very difficult and time consuming. This head strap has a battery that comes in and out easily or can be charged in place, and the tightening screw on the back is the only adjustment. Talk about a game change for me. It does not have to be cranked down. At first I was tightening too much and getting a headache, but I quickly realized that you don’t need to crank it down. It was very easy to install and to use for the first time. Overall I’m so glad I got this one. Only recommendation I could make is that I wish it had a place to tie up the cord that goes from the battery to the oculus, but so far it’s not been an issue at all, so no big deal!

I love these battery packs. To be able to change them without removing your head strap is ingenious. You could just switch them out whenever one is no longer charged and charge them up. It would probably be ideal for us to have three each (two extra) for the length of time we play and that would cover us for the night.

In my previous review I said that I was going to buy one for my husband as he wanted one too because he was very impressed. I ended up buying four more total and two batteries. He recently went through a serious medical condition and is trying to use VR in conjunction with other types of exercise. Feeling grateful, he wanted to buy this for two of his close friends and his brother that we usually play VR games with. They have had problems with not being able to play long so if he could get them to stay on longer he could get more exercise. Because of the price point, this was perfect. To me, it is worth so much more. I also bought extra battery packs so that we could switch them out. I love how you can switch them without having to take off your headset. I’ll probably get more batteries also because just imagine having one charged up at all times. I normally play with my cord and I’m not one to stay in one place so I get tangled and twisted in my cord. This will help me with that. Also, on certain games the cord can be irritating hanging down. I love the new freedom I have to play without using the cord, especially since we play for long periods. Thank you, thank you again.
