I had a lot of trouble sleeping by last three days not so much
It is a bit noisier on silent as I would like but I sleep better and not
So ho
I had a bad problem with damp in my old stone house and this has completely resolved it. At first I used it daily for a couple of hours as humidity was high and clothes etc were going mouldy. Now I only need to use it once a week for half an hour. Its made such a difference to the whole house.
This dehumidifier has helped enormously to remove all the accumulated condensation in the shower room, all the condensation accumulating on our large windows and everywhere else in the home. This product has been ‘a game changer’ for our home that always felt uncomfortably dump. All the functions do what they say, the drying facility works very well too. The only thing is that the silent function is not silent really, it is a quieter sound, but it doesn’t bother us.
I love this dehumidifier! I haven’t had any condensation on my windows since using it and the air feels clear, less stuffy.
The only slight issue, is the carry handle on the water tank. It comes detached very easily, so the tank has dropped from the handle twice, spilling water over floor. I no longer carry it with the handle. Otherwise I’m very happy with it.
Having a ‘Which?’ recommendation, I felt it would be a pretty safe bet to get the job done … and so it proved to be.
Another ‘intuitive’ product which pretty-well runs itself after plugging in & turning on. Close the door/window of the room to be dried-out and let it do it’s job.
Not loud in my opinion. Just a pity the water-tank is a bit on the small side although it does arrive with a short length of clear tubing for continuous drain if used in a suitable environment.
Can’t fault this as a dehumidifier. It collects a lot of water – I empty it once a day on average. Tend to leave it on MAX during the day and MIN/QUIET/ECON at night. Quiet enough not to be a problem. Put it in my hallway between kitchen and bathroom doorways and it works well. Ioniser is a nice touch – seems to help keep the air smelling fresh. App/Wifi control I setup fine (other reviews said it was tricky or didn’t work – I found it easy) but I don’t use the app at all – it’s not needed.
Moved into a bigger house. Already own one that works all the time. I was so happy that i just got another one. now my house is bone dry. Highly recommend.
This is an excellent piece of kit, no condensation at all in my bungalow and dries clothes within a couple of hours, so much cheaper than a drier.
I have already recommended this machine to 2 of my friends, they are also pleased with it.
This does the job of drying my clothes on the airer. Amazing how much water it collects despite spinning the wash a couple of times on high rpm. It would have been super if it had air purifier combined but would still highly recommend.
Thrilled with above item it does the job perfect , only one down fall it’s quite nosey on high but i exspected that as it does have a fan in it , on low very quite the price very good. It helps take the moisture out of wet washing . We are that pleased we have just ordered a second one for down stairs .
I use the smart feature to schedule for my cheap overnight electricity tariff. Set a range of humidity for it to auto turn on and off. Power wattage is misleading 260watts is at 26.7 C and 60% relative humidity, this is not realistic in the UK, so runs at a much higher wattage.
Received the unit yesterday and was impressed just by the packaging, just lifts out. Well impressed by the design, attention to detail like handle for carrying the water bucket and ‘handles’ for lifting the unit. Even the User Manual is quality. Set it up easily including the WIFI app. Which to be honest I didn’t think I would use but once I put the cloths dryer up it was bit awkward reaching the unit so I used the App. It performed well collecting the water. The noise level when on full speed sounded like cabin noise when flying. Using the energy monitoring app i guess the running cost for me is about 10p/hr or less. 2yr Warranty was included.
This is a great dehumidifier, it definitely saves energy in comparison to using a tumble drier. Clothes drying mode has quite a high fan level Nosie, but if you put it in a room with the door closed, you won’t notice it.
I ran it in a damp feeling bedroom for half a day and I was amazed to see how much moisture came out.
The only criticism is that the silent mode is not silent or close to silent. Its probably like a small fan heater running. It would be great to have an app update too.
Bought this originally when having the whole of downstairs re plastered and it was an absolute god send!
Dried the room out in 1-2 days to allow for painting.
I now use it regularly to dry my clothes rather than using the tumble dryer and it’s much more cost effective
Have used it to dry the carpet when the radiator leaked too.
It’s great to use after cooking and near the bathroom to clear condensation too
Even when you think the room is dry, the amount of water it collects is unbelievable!
Hoping it continues to keep my house dry and damp free
Absolute beast of a machine!
100% recommend
This was a great product until it stopped working. The unit self is quite powerful and the dehumidifier worked really well. However after a couple of days the unit had a mind of its own and unfortunately every time I switched the dehumidifier on it automatically went to the highest setting I was unable unable to reset the Machine. Thankfully customer services were really helpful and I was able to get a refund back us the unit was no longer available in the machine could not be used properly. I’ve given it the rating of five stars because when it was initially working the unit worked really well and was able to dry the clothing in our spare room very quickly.
Got this to replace an ageing lower capacity dehumidifier which had given up the ghost trying to cope with increasing humidity levels in our big Victorian basement; a year of abnormally damp weather had seen the humidity increase significantly. Put this in the workshop and it got the humidity down by 10% in a few days. ‘Smart’ functionality is minimal but the plan is to eventually link the dehumidifier to my home automation system to allow for greater ‘intelligence’, in the meantime the app means that I no longer have to climb down into the cellar to check on the machine. Will be buying another for the other half of the basement.
Works well but had problems connecting to WiFi although the problem was in part my phone, the router is dual band and most things connected to it are 2.4ghz and work fine and connected easily. But I have a Google pixel 7pro phone which automatically selects the fastest band width which is 5ghz even though the router is set to 2.4ghz the dehumidifier would not pair to the network. The solution was to move away from the router as although 5ghz is faster it doesn’t carry as far, so the further away from the router you go so the phone will automatically select the best band width which would be 2.4ghz this then allowed me to pair the dehumidifier, it now works fine although could have a better pouring spout for emptying
We had major problems with high humidity in our bedroom and en suite, leading to mould on the ceiling of the latter room, despite a fan in the ceiling. We checked the humidity in the bedroom with a meter and it was going as high as 80%. We resorted to having the central heating on in the bedroom to try and reduce the amount of condensation. The ceiling fan in the en suite was also working extra hard because it has a humidity sensor. When the dehumidifier arrived we simply switched it on using the smart setting and kept it on during waking hours. Initially this resulted in 1-2 tanks of water removed per day, but now it removes about 1 tankful per day, presumably because the walls have dried out. The condensation on our windows has disappeared, and the mould problem is well under control.
We are really impressed with this machine, and wish we had bought it earlier! We have not bothered to install the app as the machine is easy to control with the buttons on it. Humidity levels are now very rarely above 60% and at the end of the day can go down as low as 47%. Any energy used by the machine is compensated for by the reduced need for the ceiling fan and, especially, by the reduced need for using our central heating upstairs.
This runs on around 14p an hour. A perfect machine for the job. Look no further!
This unit is currently saving me from the horrendous damp winter months! It works fantastically well, it is very well put together and feels nice and sturdy.
I had some issues with not using the heating as much where the rooms were getting very damp, and opening the windows when it was often 95% humidity outside doesn’t exactly help so I needed something better.
I bought this unit and it arrived in perfect condition, popped it in the worst room and left it on continuous MAX fan mode for a few days and was honestly absolutely stunned at the sheer amount of water it was pulling out of the air. No wonder I had Humidity and damp issues!
After a few weeks of blasting it throughout the house and sucking out the moisture the entire house feels so much more comfy, the colder nights now don’t feel anywhere near as baltic as they did before because the air is no longer like breathing ice. I now just keep it going on it’s Smart mode which reads the temperature of the room and adjusts the humidity to keep the comfort just right.
Noise wise, I don’t mind it. I quite like white noise anyway so I can happily sleep with it on full blast all night long without issue, when it’s on it’s Min and Medium settings it’s quite quiet, when it’s on the MAX mode it’s a little bit noisy but no more than say an Air Conditioner might be.
It doesn’t mention it anywhere in the paperwork or documentation or even on the sales blurb above but it has Alexa voice control as well, just download the Inventor App for your phone and the Inventor Alexa Skill and it just all connects up! (No idea why they didn’t put that as a feature, it’s quite handy!)
It wasn’t my first choice as I was going to buy others but for some reason every single one I looked at was sold out, must be a lot of people in my boat this winter, but I am actually glad it pushed me to get this slightly more expensive model because it is just absolutely fantastic.
Perfect product for drying clothes and take moist out of the air inside the rooms. 100% satisfied.
My home is 70% humid as a default. This does exactly what it’s supposed to and now home air is perfect. I also have an air purifier and so air quality is perfect all round. Very pleased.
So far I am happy with the purchase as I have mainly used the dry function, really dries the laundry very fast.
So far it is neat looking a can run quietly ask me in a years time they are all ok when new
This excellent machine has been running in our house now for over a month with now adverse issues.
Amongst other components, there is a fan and a compressor. Is your fridge or fan/fan heater silent?
As tecknowledgy stand at the moment, there will be no such a beast as a totally silent dehumidifier.
Hints on use;
* Rather than use the quick dry option, which works well and quickly. The fan is running at full speed and thus is noisy and will in time become noisier.
* I use ‘silent’ mode which takes a little longer to dry a full wash but is easier on the machine.
* It has been said to me that, “you have to move it from room to room”, wrong, open doors to the rooms that are concerning you most. This device claims 70sm, that’s good enough for our flat.
* You should notice a change in temperature which is mainly due to the moisture being removed, i.e., as you are probably aware damp weather causes it to feel cold.
* We have carpeted floors, so I put it a piece of shelving (on the floor) and the machine has stayed in place.
* Putting you heating on even at a low setting will obviously help but isn’t essential
Things that could be better;
* In normal light the LED indicators on the machine are hard to see (this is not a problem if you use the app).
* An LED to show the water level would help a lot, I have to use a torch to check it
I have used two other dehumidifies. This review may be a waste of time as I see that it is currently unavailable, pity as, like Which I would say it’s about the best out there. If you have a dampness problem or just have to dry washing indoorsbuy one, if you can.
Use almost 24/7 to deal with a damp house which was also added to by plastering – removed 2 full containers full daily and now down to 1 a day – which keeps house at 55% humidity
The Dehumidifier worked “out of the box” and worked well. But the fact that the WiFi app only worked on 2.4GHz rather than the more up to date 5GHz made it’s installation a problem.
I had to go the my Internet provider’s Plusnet Community Forum for advice. The advice I received was to go into my routers home page, disable 5GHz temporarily, install the app. on my phone, then restore 5GHz.
All done and now I can control the dehumidifier from my phone and Alexa!
Why didn’t I get this before!?
On normal mode it clears condensation from a small family of showers, pulling a liter+ of moisture from the air in about an hour – no more damp windows.
Clothes drying mode is amazing – we have to hang laundry inside during the winter and this dries a full rack in good time. And because it doesn’t heat the air, I guess that it is more energy efficient than a tumble drier.
None of the three noise levels seem loud, and quiet mode is gentle. I’m not sure I would want to sleep with it in my room, but then that feels unnecessary as it clears the air quickly in the morning.
Easily portable to trundle the house to clear all the bedrooms.
Our home feels clearer and warmer since using this. My daily chore of wiping the windows down has disappeared completely, and I’ve seen no regrowth of the patches of the black mould we had. I feel this is making our home safer.
Very pleased I went for this model rather than the cheaper small ones available which would need constant emptying with our use. A good investment and value for money.
I’m so delighted with this. Easy. Quiet. Moveable. Taking a lot of water from the air. And the house feels so much warmer. Whatever it has cost to run I’ve saved in heating bills. I didn’t understand why my house felt cold and damp. I was convinced it was an expensive structural problem. But I’d been drying my laundry inside and over radiators. It had saturated the walls. At the moment I’m just getting rid of that but this has a laundry setting. So I will be using it to prevent problems. Don’t hesitate. Get one!
Easy to empty and the wheels make it easy to transport around flat areas.
Condensation and clothes drier with timer add bones hepa filte
So have it for a few days as I wanted to know how it works and if it works at all. First it’s quiet. I was worry that it will be noisy but it’s not. Efficiency? 5 stars. After few days of using it the condensation disappeared from all my widows. Temperature feels higher as the air is dryer. I can control it remotely using my phone. The Ioniser function seems to be working good for the quality of the air. I have already tried this Dryer feature and all the clothes were dry within half a day. Overall I’m so surprised how good is this product that I can really recommend it.
It seems everything with this product is OK, except its handle.
I don’t know why it doesn’t have a proper handle like the old versions.
Carrying it from one room to another is not easy.
Lots of condensation in our house this unit cleared them in a few days brillia
The unit is efficient and the WIFI control is nice.
The biggest drawback I noticed so far is the noise level. Even on silent (the lowest noise level) it’s still too noisy to keep it in the bedroom. It does stop when it reaches a certain level of humidity but when it’s running it’s too noisy. About as noisy as an aircon unit with a bit of rattling sound
So pleased with this, it’s perfect for stopping condensation on windows and walls, 3 modes continuous dryer and smart , 20 L capacity works really nicely also the central heating system warms the house up much more quickly than when the house is less damp nothing to dislike.
Certainly removes moisture and can be quiet. The small reservoir requires frequent emptying. Is this good or bad?
We got this on the advice from a friend. Brilliant choice. Instead of using the costly tumble dryer, this sits in a room and the clothes go on 2 airers. By the morning it’s all dry. If the large tank does happen to get full it cuts out. At 7p an hour a whole night and day is only 1.68. Clothes are always dry including waistbands of jeans and bedding. All at much less than the tumble. If you can afford one, get one. With today’s energy prices it will pay for itself in time.
We have had this a few weeks now got for laundry and to keep damp down.
It was easy to work out what to do.
Plug in , turn on and choose a mode.
The instructions are rather beefy (2 manuals).
1 is the wifi instructions.
I discarded the suggested app as it doesnt work reliably.
We now have the Msmart app for it which does sort of work.
I like that it can be controlled from a different room.
We are having the heating on low or not at all at present and having the air, dryer, helps it not to feel as cold.
The emptying bit is easy, there is a drawer with a carrying handle to pull out and empty.
You can also attach the hose and have it empty into a bucket or the bath .
You probably don’t want to drink the water as the plastic wont be food safe but you can water plants with it or add it to the loo flush.
Was pricey but does what we wanted it to for pretty much the whole of a 3 bedroomed house.
Clothes drying mode is good.
We are hanging things in the box room and the dehumidifier can get it dry in around 4 to 8 hours depending how diligent we are about monitoring the situation and what is being dried.
So far ,so good.
Great for stopping condensation on windows and wall. Not totally silent and a bit noisier when in dry clothes mode. Overall well worth buying
Could not believe how much water was extracted from the air and no condensation on the windows when washing is drying. Less expensive than the tumbler dryer, reason for buying.
We dry the washing indoors in the winter and that can make the house damp. We use the drying setting for washing and it dries really well in a day. We also leave it on in cold weather and it fills up and keeps the kitchen dry, which means warmer. We leave it on overnight on the sensor setting and we have clear dry Windows in the morning. Worth every penny!
I purchased this because it was one of the few left in stock but it has been excellent so far. It brought my household moisture levels down from 80% to 55% in just 24 hours and I have only had to empty the tank once!
The set up is very easy either using the controls on the unit itself or vai the app. Just make sure you get the correct app as there are multiple but it seems only one actually works, as I found out.
The fans have multiple speeds with the lowest being comparable to a fan on its lowest setting so if you can sleep with that on then you can sleep with this going.
Overall I am very happy!
This is a very good machine and works very well. We have positioned it in the hall of our six room bungalow, we time it to come on during the night and it runs for around five hours. Only negative is noise, standing by it in silent mode it’s pretty good, but go into an adjoining room & you pick up a deep throbbing drone. Real shame, would have got 5 stars.
Very efficent, took moisture in our flat from 89 to 65 in 2 days!
This is a sturdy, well built dehumidifier. It has wi-fi capability but so far I have I used the buttons on the top of device to operate it and these are clearly labelled and simple to use. I live in an old stone cottage that suffers from dampness in the Winter months and this works superbly. When I first bought it I ran it continuously (but with fan on the lowest “silent” setting) and it managed to pull about 10 or litres of water from the air in the first 2 days. That brought the relative humidity (RH) level shown on the display down from about 75% to 55-60%. I know run it with a set humidity level of 60% and it turns itself off when it gets below this. The air feels noticeably dryer, warmer and more comfortable with little/no condensation on walls and windows. So although it’s not cheap it is well worth the money. The large water tank means I only have to empty it about once per day or less. The only niggle is that the fan is not really silent in “silent” mode, but otherwise it is a great bit of kit (though I have only had it for less than a week). As others have said the customer support is top notch — I sent a query about the dehumidifier on a Sunday and they answered my query the very same day. That level of service is rare to find these days. Overall I highly recommend this product.
Great little dehumidifier, keeps our conservatory dry from condensation where the moist air from the house meets the cool conservatory. We leave it on automatic and low fan if we are in the room. As it’s programmable we run it on higher fan speeds when we don’t tend to be in there as they are a bit noisy, with the app it’s easy to change from any room in the house.
Currently it’s taking 20l a day out of the air, it feels so much better particularly with the ioniser. There are more expensive and cheaper ones but there are a lot of good reviews for it and so far it hasn’t disappointed.
Crackin machine this. Due to the current energy situation which has led to us not having the heating on (hardly). We’ve exoerienced damp, mould ,condensation all over the place which led us to trying one of these. Coupled with the option of using it to dry clothes also. Well its brilluant. One problem room with humidity at 93% ouch. Got it down to 58. Great. Tried drying clothes, took about 6 hours but that was in a biggish room. Should really be in a small room with doors and windows shut. Will experiment!. Energy wise very surprised, some models are about 400+ watts, this one 240. I tested the useage with a smart plug that registers watts used. Over a 24 hour period at full blast this used 4.77w so at current electric values 34p equates to 1.62 a day. Not bad in my view if saving putting tumble dryer on ! Is quiet on quiet mode, noiser on other modes but thats to be expected. All in all a very good buy, recommended
I wish that I had bought this years ago. Turning the heating down and drying washing in doors caused the doors to swell, and mould to grow in the bedrooms and bathroom. This dehumidifier is so efficient that my doors now open easily the mould has not returned and my washing is drying within hours, and smells fresh. I love the WiFi so that I can check the humidity and turn it off/on. My Home feels warmer and smells better. I have recommended it to my sister and it is recommended by Which.
You get what you pay for. I have it in a room with clothes drying – clothes dry by morning. Tank needs emptying 2+ times a day if on all day. Would have like it to be quieter but it isn’t overly noisy. Not sure how energy efficient it is but surely less energy used than a tumble dryer. I would buy again and recommend to friends.
It’s a great product, energy efficient and does a brilliant job. But bear in mind that it’s a bit heavy. If you need to move it around on a floor that’s not even and therefore you need to lift it – it’s a bit on the heavy side. Nothing else to mention as a negative really. We’re very happy with this purchase.
Very impressed. It’s quiet, removes lots of water and is very well made.
Considering buying another for the cellar.
This is a quality piece of kit. We have a large three bed house with a conservatory and with two kids we are constantly drying clothes in the house and cooking food. We have been suffering from loads of condensation and recently mould. My Nest thermostat was telling me that our internal humidity level was consistently about 70%. I bought this and put it in the conservatory where the humidity was 86% (near kitchen and drying clothes). I have run it now for two days solid and the amount of water it has removed from the air is staggering. Humidity in the conservatory is now 63% and falling, there is no condensation anywhere and the air feels fresher. Once I get the humidity down to 50% I will switch from continuous to intelligent where it will maintain a level. It has a built in ioniser too and two types of filter to extract nasties from the air.
Humidifiers have a noise problem but this one is quiet even on turbo where the fan runs fast. The water container is large – takes a few hours to fill even in my damp house and you can always use the continuous drain if you’ve got somewhere for the included hose to drain to. Looking at my smart meter it costs me about 2 a day to run 24 hours on full blast – I suspect once the initial run to get humidity levels down is finished then I suspect it will be a fraction of that.
This is a quality piece of kit and makes a huge difference even in quite a large home. I cannot recommend it enough.
Removed over 30L from the air in our house in under 24hrs. Way quieter than others we e had too. Happy to have spent a bit more on a decent model.
I love this thing. It’s expensive yes, but it works better than anything else I’ve ever tried. We have been desperate to stop mould in our flat and no amount of heating or open windows would help. This has revolutionised our clothes drying and mould issues. Sucks so much water out, super easy to use and helps keep the place warm.
On the downside, silent mode is farrrrr from silent, but it’s not too loud to have in the background if you’re awake. It’s about as loud as having a large fan on. Still worth it though.
Very pleased with the results and would recommend. The worst room went from 75-80% to < 60%. Be aware it's a bit loud, even on the "silent" setting. I'd have bought a second if it was a bit cheaper.
Bought this with one purpose, to help dry clothes that could not get outside on the line. Does a super job. Placed in the utility room with 2 clothes maids and used the drier function, dried the lot straight from the washing machine in a few hours. Kept an eye on consumption through the smart meter and was much more economical than the tumble drier. Good investments especially if our winters are going to be wetter as predicted. Also reduced the humidity in the whole house when positioned in the hall downstairs, three bed detached house. Would suggest you get a temperature and humidity meter so you can see the difference in separate rooms.
What can I say very quiet compree to other dehumidifier, nice modern design, full control by app
I love it. I bought one for 152.99 and I was going to buy another one for my daughter, but the price has increased too much……
Worth every penny!! Bought to dry clothes in winter to reduce drying.. definitely a brilliant investment would purchase agai
The house I am living is really humid like minimum %75 humidity during winter. I am so happy that I bought this monster dehumidifier, the clothes are not smelling and the house atmosphere is noticeably changed. I am not sure about energy efficiency we will see on the bill
Efficient and effective so far. In 24 hrs reduced humidity by 15% and temp up 2 degrees. Old house and little heating on so far this month. Running costs seem reasonable. Like that the bucket is accessible at the front and has a handle to make is stable carrying when full of water. Know it will help with drying washing inside too this winter so less damp issues generally. A hum of noise but not too bad as in the hall and didn’t expect it to run silently.
It’s been running for the last 36hrs and has removed 13l of water from the air of my 4 bed house. I wouldn’t have said the house was that damp! It started at 72% humidity and has got it down to 59%. The house feels warmer. It’s certainly quiet. No noisier than a fan running in the summer.
Bought this to replace a much smaller unit in a bedroom – but with the added thought of using it with a clothes horse to speed up drying non-tumble dryer clothes.
Positioned it in the lounge and it takes care of the whole house (3 bed terrace). It is an absolute godsend in wet weather for the clothes drying setting alone – what used to take a few days to dry now takes a few hours.
Emptying is a breeze – just let it fully fill up and then you combat the ‘drippers’ that look like a small leak after you remove the drain unit. The handle is the best feature, no more fumbling with a big box of sloshing water – just use the handle and gracefully carry it to the sink.
The unit is quiet enough even on full tilt. We haven’t had to turn the TV up or anything. On its lowest setting its barely noticeable.
The wifi/app aspect is pretty cool – being able to ramp it up or down remotely saves having to get up, and it’ll even tell you when its full.
The different settings are great – we mainly use Smart or Drying mode, as they suit our situation best.
I had to contact customer service as one of the wheels had cracked and fallen off – this didn’t affect anything in terms of how it worked. They answered my query during the weekend, a new wheel was ordered on the Monday and less than 24 hours later the wheel was in my hands all the way from Greece. Fitting was a breeze, just popped the old wheel off and popped the new one on with a satisfying, well built clunk.
These units are well built and seem to be pretty user serviceable – there’s even a video on Youtube of a chap taking one apart to do a deep clean on the fan unit.
Fantastic dehumidifier backed up by top notch customer service team, who care and go out of their way to find a suitable solution for your issue no matter how small.
In less than 2 days cleared moisture from windows drop humidity upstairs improved the air quality with the ioniser and helped with keeping the house warm with lower humidity. When combined with home assistant the device has more control automation function and can run with alexa and other devices AWSOME
Compact and efficient – very pleased with it so far – much better than our last dehumidifier.
Best performance dehumidifier (energy consumption, noise levels, litres/24h, price). Brilliant and super fast customer service. Could not have a better option!
We checked many offers before chiosing this one and it was a perfect choice. It’s silent-I don’t like noises when I sleep and I slept the whole night when it was on. Drying option works perfect!
I bought this because we have high humidity problems and mildew was starting to appear. So far it has drawn 2 litres of moisture from the air in less than 12 hours so that can only be good. It is not that quiet even on the slow speed so we have to turn it off at night. It’s a bit of a struggle to get the Wi-Fi working but I got there in the end after 4 attempts. But as for its main purpose of reducing humidity I can’t fault it, amazing how much it collects.
I am still reviewing the product. Wil do the demo for home assistant.
It’s very efficient but rather heavy but would recommend this item
Bought to dry clothes indoors, does good job takes a few hours on turbo but it does the job well amazed how much moisture it collects
So far very good only had it week pleased with it.
Sucks out lots of water from the air and laundry dries in hours. Amazing! Not sure how much electricity it uses but I’m guessing less than tumble drying clothes.
Really pleased with this dehumidifier. We had a big condensation problem in our 3 bed semi and first job in morning was cleaning condensation from the windows and then the kitchen window after cooking. I bought a smaller dehumidifier and was surprised with the amount of water collected, but still had condensation so bought this dehumidifier with it’s bigger capacity. Have put this in the kitchen and used the wifi app to have it set to run from 7.30am to 1am. It collects so much moisture that we empty about 3 times a day (I haven’t connected up the drain hose as there’s always someone at home). The smaller dehumidifier is in the lounge and is set to auto start when humidity hits 50%, but it never triggers. The only window that gets condensation is the bathroom window after showers now. Haven’t had to clean any other windows since using this. We also had the downstairs WC with condensation on the tiled floor and cistern, but that problem has disappeared too. Really pleased with his device and how well it works, it’s been a miracle cure for our condensation (and mould) problem. Been using it for over a month now and only regret is that didn’t buy it sooner!
Received the product and found it to work perfectly. The Wi-Fi connection is easy to set up and the app works well, making it easy to control from elsewhere in the house or even when out and about.
With the unit on dryer mode, laundry drying time and associated house smells are cut considerably – I have no window condensation any more and laundry dries on the rack in less than a day.
On silent mode it is barely noticeable until the compressor kicks in – and even then it’s not particularly loud, which was something I was worried about! Castors make moving it around a breeze.
The real reason to get this over other products out there is simple – amazing customer service. The first unit I ordered suffered a malfunction meaning that it did not operate on anything other than max setting.
Within 3 days of informing the company and sending a video of the problem, I had a replacement unit delivered to my door at no extra cost.
Absolutely stunned by the customer service shown by Inventor and very happy with the product they sell.
It’s pretty good and shifts a lot of moisture. Just wish it didn’t ‘drip’ when emptying a full tank – otherwise would have given 5 stars. Also, the packing is a bit quirky – no bottom on the box?
That said, would still recommend.
I am extremely happy from the moment I got this dehumidifier… it is a great product that really does its job better than anyone … with great features I use my mobile phone to turn it on and off whenever I want …. And the atmosphere of my house is very clean … I am very happy with my choice I recommend it …
We purchased this dehydrator to reduce the amount of moisture in a particular room due to mildew growth and smell. I have to empty the 2.5 litre resevour every day at the same time as it takes 24 hours to become completely full now. When we first got it, I was emptying it twice a day. I have set the moisture to 50 which seems to be perfect but it did take a while to get there. It took two to three days of empyting twice a day.
it is strong enough for our flat. We keep it in the room that is most prone to moisture accumulation and it takes care of it all. This dehydrator has an ion air cleaner as well which is fantastic. I can leave home and not worry about overflow as the automatic shut off works perfectly. I recommend this dehydrator to anyone having moisture accumulation problems.
Thought I would leave a review as the reviews left by other folks was so useful in my decision I thought I would add to that.
The unit is quiet. It was so quiet in an upstairs room which used to resonate through the floor compared to a previous unit that I initially didn’t think it was working properly, only the large amounts of water it collected proved that it was. Peace and quite for us and our neighbors as it does not buzz through the building.
The smart mode saves a tonne of electricity, it doesn’t run all of the time but still collects that water in the tank 🙂
If you switch it off it actually remembers the settings, this seems like a basic thing but you will be surprised how many cheep units don’t have this simple function.
It does it’s job and it does it well and that is all I need.
Bough this initially to help dry clothes indoors during inclement weather as we don’t have the space for a tumble dryer. Very impressed with the amount of water it pulls out if the air and it definitely reduces the amount of time we have damp clothes lying around. I recon a full clothes horse can be dried after about 8 hours running the dehumidifier as opposed to days.
It really helps to keep the flat dry without spending a fortune running the central heating or electric heaters.
It can be a bit noisy at first, but if you run it at the right times it’s not too much of a problem.
Highly recommended.
I often feel it’s very early to review such purchases. But given I have a comparison to make [replacing the ridiculously noisy* Meaco 12L Low Energy Platinum Dehumidifier] immediately, I’ll throw in my initial thoughts.
*Now 3+ years old and seemingly rattled itself to deaf [pun intended]!
Happily, the first thing I notice is the relatively blissful silent running. Of course, no condenser is actually Silent [despite the setting’s name!], but it’s considerably quieter than the Meaco – which even at its peak performance conspicuously lurched into life when it went from fan–>condenser and caused notable vibration through the floor to the room’s below.
So, noise overall? Silent is pretty quiet. Even sitting right next to it [on the computer now] the whirl is okay – and in the bedroom 15ft away it’s barely noticeable, with no vibration through the floor either [perhaps due to the castors lifting it from the floor?]. Medium setting picks up the noise level – but it’s all fan noise rather than any motor/vibration. Similarly, Turbo gets pretty lively, but it’s all fan noise again. And the fact that you can choose the settings makes all the difference … sitting next to the unit/at night, flick it to Silent and all good. [In the living room you could always hear the Meaco running, when the Inventor is on Silent you can’t.]
At all settings moisture extraction is exceptional. Again, finding moisture the tired Meaco is no longer removing, perhaps? Setting relative humidity manually to 55%, the Meaco would often fall silent, seemingly satiated. So far, the Inventor has rarely turned itself of at 55% setting – continually extracting moisture from the air. [Note: this might be down to setting the fan speed on Silent/Low the majority of the time, of course.]
One minor niggle, so far. Heat bioproduct. It might only be marginal, but it can noticeably affect the room temperature over time with it running continuously. [Put it this way, if I could turn the ancient radiator off in this room, I would!] To clarify … this is a two-bed semi with upstairs bathroom between, a short landing and open staircase; the unit sits just inside the rear bedroom which has no door. Heat always rises – but with the Hive thermostat downstairs set to 20.5C – the temperature in this room can easily rise to almost 25C, which is pretty warm. [Note: it’s always warmer in this room due to the open staircase/heat rising, though.]
I’ve only had the unit for a week, so still playing with the settings. I dare say, allowing it to be on Medium and/or Turbo for longer periods would presumably affect the machine’s running time and, therefore, the warm air generation. Having said that, it’s hard to imagine the Smart setting ever turning itself off in here, when it’s looking for 45C-55C?!! [e.g. It’s sat next to me and been on Turbo for a good fifteen minutes and the reading keeps dancing between 55C and 56C and has yet to turn off.]
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Dryer mode worked really impressively. In fact, overnight on Silent dried the adjacent damp clothes [hung from the door frame] really well, too.
Finally … manoeuvrability is really good [the castors a welcome addition, as it’s quite a heavy unit]. Detaching the tank is a wee bit fiddly – but you’d probably get used to it – although the handle is perfectly balanced, so even when full you shouldn’t spill the contents. Wi-Fi connectivity. Is it really necessary? I haven’t used it much – and probably won’t in this relatively small space where you’re always passing the unit. And, lastly, while nobody likely buys such a unit for appearance, it actually looks pretty good, too.
