AT the time of this review these 2 iphone cables are 5.94. They are sturdy and charge my iPhone 12 Pro consistently and quickly without any issues. Great!
Save for me, all family have iPhones, which are of varying ages. My wife has a more recent model but still regularly uses her old iPhone 7 for general browsing and managing emails. She also has a power bank for trips away but didn’t realise that the cable for her current phone (USB-C ro Lightning) wouldn’t be much help when you need to connect the device to anything which needs a regular USB – such as the power bank or her car.
Not willing to pay the eye-watering price for Apple’s own cable, I had a look at the 3rd party products, being wary that cables are not all made equal. I’ve been caught out in the past when buying budget cables, sometimes finding slow data transfer and charging speeds. I’ve also experienced overheating of my devices as well (not good for the battery), as well as the cable itself.
I see that these were competitively priced but also have positive reviews, so thought I would get some for the wife to try.
It was helpful that 2 came in the pack as it meant she could keep one in the car and another with her power bank. The cables themselves feel decent quality. The metal connecting ends seem to be well made and their matt silver colour complements the braided cable. I like braided cables in general but the one downside is when they attract dust, they’re not as easy to clean as rubberised/plastic ones. These feel like a hybrid of traditional fabric-braided cables and regular rubber/plastic-coated ones. As such, these are easy to wipe down but I can’t comment on whether it’s safe to do so.
We’ve used them for the purpose of straight charging from the Apple power adapter at home (finding no noticeable difference when compared to using the Apple cable) and also in the car (both for charging and also when using the phone as a sat-nav). We found that the cable was fine when just for charging the phone in the car but when it was being used as a sat-nav, both the phone and cable heated up noticeably.
I’ve found that the phone can get hot anyway when being used as a sat-nav, so don’t yet know if that heat transferred to the cable or if using an official Apple one on that occasion would have made any difference.
Either way, these have definitely done the job I needed them for – the wife won’t now get caught out and find that she can’t plug her phone into a power bank or the car when we’re out and about!
They have a protective braided material over the wire, and extra protection around the weakest area (which is notorious to damage) that being the area that is plugged into the phones port.
I ordered these as I have a lot of customers who have iPhones and their phone is close to dying or has died. Sometimes they need to look on their phone for a specific person to call. This is a cable I can put to the side, and of asked, o can take this out for them to use.
Really great to have extra length in the cable. Really nice textured finish and sturdy connection plugs. Good for charging and data transfer such as Apple Car Play
This is good quality charging cables. Good colour and seems to be durable as well. Good length as well for house or car used. The price is really good for the two!
The reason I like these kinds of cables is they are more durable than plastic coated ones. In the past, I have gone through many cables as they eventually wear and split on the joints to reveal the wires underneath. I got these to charge my son’s iPhone 11, and his iPad and so far they have been good. The only point my son made was he didn’t exactly think they charged as quickly as a ‘lightning’ cable should. He said he doesn’t have any major complaints though and for the price, thinks they equate to pretty good value for money.

Very strong durable pair of cables. Good use in the car or with power bank as they 1m long. Fast charging and looks like these will last for very long time, comparing to usual white plastic ones. Comes packed in nice box.
This cable works well with my iPhone. The cable replaces the standard apple cable that has broken at the point the cable joins the plug. This cable has what feel like strong boots where the cable and plug join and will hopefully stand up to more use than the Apple Original.
This is small pack of 2 USB-A to Lightning connector, power and data cables, each 1m long. They have a Nylon outer braid for protection and strength, each connector has an aluminium shell and a plastic strain relief / bend restrictor, the bend restrictor being around 28mm long at both ends. There is a USB-A connector at one end and an Apple Lightning connector at the other.
The cable is fairly flexible with a diameter of 3.5mm, I found a comfortable inner bend radius of around 7mm, resulting in an outer bend diameter of about 21mm.
Power transfer was very good reaching 2.4amps at 5v, that is just over 12watts, as my iPad is quite old, this is a very good charge rate and suspect it would be much better on a more modern device. I was unable to properly test the data transfer speed due to the way the iPad operates preventing me downloading files directly, but it was as fast as any other Lightning cable I have.
The cable is well made, quite flexible, good power delivery and the connectors well made. I found the price for these 2 good quality cables to be pretty good too.
This a good value two pack of usb to lightening cables. The connectors are reinforced and appears well made. The outside of the cable is covered in a woven material which I prefer as they tend to be more durable.
Strong cable and fast change. Long enough to keep on charge and next to me to keep an eye on my emails and anything else I need on my phone as it’s charging

A handy set of two lightening cables for the iPhone. A nice braided wire, making for more durability. Both wires work well, both in the home via USB plug and in the car using a USB port.

MFI certified matters – though these days you can probably never tell what truly is or is not. These cables are very economical and seem to do the job just fine. I have no complaints therefore in terms of “performance”. Usefully available in 1M or 2M lengths – and in a two pack. I chose 2M – which is really nice and long for being able to use a phone while it’s charging.
All in all – economical way to obtain useful spare lightening cables.
There is no such thing as too many charging cables. No matter how many I buy, they still manage to disappear…. mysterious. So, I was happy to receive 2 lightening cables from NINGKPOW to try. They come simply packaged in a small white cardboard box – no frills but they don’t need them and I’m glad to see minimal packaging. The chargers are pretty standard length at 1m which works well for us. I hate chargers that are so long the wire gets all tangled. They fit securely into my iPhone 12 and my partners iPhone X and charge at the same speed as a leading brand cable with no issues. I prefer the nylon braided leads as they seem more durable so I’m hoping these will last a long time.

A lovely set of chargers that is excellent in quality, love the colour and the material, great thickness, the wire length is long which is great, fits nicely into he phone slot, charges very fast without the cable and the phone heating up. Great price, definitely recommend.
I think they are the perfect size for a charger. However they starts bending easily, one of them has broken already. I didn’t do anything different with them so I think it was the bending.
Better than expected. Really good quality and confident they will wear well. Absolute bargain for the price. Quality packaging as well. Having tried lots of different leads, these are definitely the best I’ve had so far.
Braided cables are so much better than the old unbraided ones — they are far less prone to wearing at the lightning end.
This is a 3 x 2 metre pack. I only mention it as some people prefer a mixed length pack — but I find I use a 2 metre cable most often. 1 metre is often too short and 3 metres too cumbersome.
I’ve used a lot of different lightning cables over the years and all, whether they are from Apple, Mfi approved or otherwise… ALL.. eventually suffer from one or more failure mode. The typical one is wear on the pins which can result in them making poor or no contact. This is worsened if you have to keep these cables in bags, carrying them around etc.
So I am pleased to report that all three cables work straight out of the bag and that they allow me to keep one in each location (home, bag, office) so each one gets less use and less degradation.

I have tried both cables and they both work.
They are nylon braided and are tested to last for many bends!
The current price is less than 7 for the two cables so I would grab them quick to have as spares!
