I held back writing a review on these initially as there were a number of reviews that criticised the quality of them.
After now owning and using them for a few months I can give an honest opinion on how good they are.
First of all these are a great lightweight set of headphones. They are used for 90% of teams meetings and 10% listening to music.
One of the best features of these headphones is that you can simultaneously have the headphones connected to your phone and laptop at the same time, so very easy to switch from listening to music on Spotify to connecting straight into a Teams meeting. This seems to work flawlessly.
I have had various headphones previously and just swapped from a pair of Sony in ear buds, but these always seem to loose battery after 3 hours and I ended up having to default to cheap plug in headphones halfway through the day, so not ideal!
Quality of the headphones is great rather than premium feeling. Totally acceptable though and as they are so light weight I don’t feel wearing them is ever a chore they have never caused any aches on my ears after prolonged use (unlike my Sennheiser music headphones)
The pads on the earphones pivot to align to your ear shape and the head band extends to the size of your head. The headband seems to stay in place well, this is mainly due to the rubber type pad underneath the top band. It would have been nice to have this made out of some nice alcantara or something but this is a small criticism.
The headphone mic can be swivelled up our the way when you have no need to talk, and there is a small magnet that snaps the back of the mic into a small recess on top of the band so it doesn’t fall out of place, quite a neat solution.
Connectivity can be by Bluetooth directly to the headset or by using the dongle. If using the dongle in your laptop, the headset connects straight away without any Bluetooth setup. Using the dongle also gives you an LED indicator of the connectivity status, green if it’s connected, red if you are in a call etc. This is useful indicator of you can’t quite work out of the headphones are or not connected. I had this dongle plugged into a USB extension originally so didn’t spot the LED, but now I have it plugged into the side of my laptop I always know that they are connected.
On the right hand side of the headset there is a red illuminating halo that displays if you are busy in a teams call, great to give people around you an indication if you are busy to stop un planned interruptions etc.
I have also only just realised that there are a number of shortcut buttons on the side of the headset that allow you to raise the volume up and down, mute and unmute. If I remember correctly you can use ame buttons to skip tracks when listening to music.
Sound quality is good, again clear and prioritised for voice clarity, exactly what I wanted. Good sound for music, but obviously music oriented headphones would have a richer bass stage.
The headphones don’t have noise cancelling which is a real shame, so people on the other side of the call can hear your background noise. It would make these headphones even better if they had noise cancelling.
Battery life on the headset is fantastic, I easily get two days heavy use without any charging. I tend to charge at this point though so although I would likely get longer battery performance they get charged to stop them going flat. There is however a USB cable that allows them to be powered whilst also charging if flat, so you never have to worry about searching for a spare set of headphones.
The headphone don’t have Boise
I purchased these from Amazon warehouse for 93 and they were basically new in the original box.
Really pleased with these headphones and would highly recommend.
Bought for work. Blue tooth connects easy, sound is good as is noise cancelling. Only gripe is I need to charge ofte
Using with Windows 11 and MS teams – its a certified device – good reception and easy install – no messing around pairing when using the provided adapter – straightforward to use and operate. Clear and adjustable making it comfortable. Expensive but i feel worth the premium as i know some one who’s had theirs nearly 2 years now so durable as well.
This is so simple to set up and use, comfortable and works amazingly well. Wish I’d gone wireless years ago
As always, Jabra headset are great to work. Good quality and long battery life.
Spoiled myself getting this for work, it’s unreal. Sounds awesome, range is awesome (got to the toilet without disconnection) and battery is great. Buy it.
I purchased this product specifically for work use. It was a bit costly, but I have no regrets now that I use it. I love the wireless as I am not restricted to one spot. Also, the battery life is quite good, along with the reception of sound, which is excellent on both ends. Now the noise reduction, I wish it was one of its functions with this model of headphones.
This head set is brilliant. I work from home and I am in customer services. Easy to connect. The battery life excellent. Best purchase I have made.
Excellent quality and comfort. Sometimes struggle with the battery not lasting all day you can use whilst plugged i
First off this does work with both Bluetooth and the supplied dongle, however under bluetooth it wasn’t as Teams friendly. It would seem this really needs a USB extension lead from the PC/Mac to work best – I tried it on my HP Workstation which sits under my desk, first and the range sucked but with the use of a USB extension cable to plug the dongle into it was much better. Currently on my Mac Pro and that sits on my desk yet still suffers the same issue. Otherwise works fine.
We had to buy a headset as Microsoft and Apple don’t get along and so airpods stopped working. The headset is good. Works well and works first time.
Great for working from home and not being restricted by a wire. You can stay connected to a call as quite some distance – I can go downstairs and open the front door and it doesn’t disconnec
This a very good headset, well-built and a cut above all other headsets I have had or tried. Excellent build quality and easy to setup and use. For the price it would’ve been good for Jabra to include the charging stand but otherwise very happy with the purchase, would definitely recommend.
Absolutely fab headset. Brilliant noise cancellation and battery life is great. I use it fir approx 8 hours a day and have to recharge it every two days. highly recommend. and may even buy another one for my partner to use too. Great value for money.
I bought this when working from home… As this is going to go on for a while longer. Worth the investment! The headphones work like a breeze, battery lasts long (never had any problem in fact, I just plug them in when I’m not using them), the wireless protocol is both proprietary through a dongle which works like charm even at a distance (like, one floor down from where the pc is), and classic Bluetooth. Worth the investme
These are good little headphones, that up until work flawlessly with MS Teams, as long as you choose the right settings. For some reason the other day it switched to Jabra link 370 which meant the hardware worked, but the function buttons didn’t link to teams.
Really great headset. The noise cancellation makes working from home so much easier. You can use the headphones whilst they are charging and the wireless function battery lasts for ages. It’s made my work life so much better and I am very happy! The case is great and it even has a little pouch for the USB dongle. It connects to 2 devices at the same time which means my work mobile and the laptop are both connected via the headset. It’s so very comfortable too, keeping ears cool and comfortable.
Easy to use, connected to my laptop immediately. The sound is very clear and easy to control with the buttons on the side of the earpiece. They are comfortable and the only reason I’ve given them four stars and not five is that I find the mic is too close to my mouth, almost touching it and if I move it down it touches my chin. Other than that I would recommend. I haven’t tested the noise cancellation so can’t comment on tha
Working from home just got a whole lot better. This thing allows me to connect to work laptop via the provided USB dongle and phone via Bluetooth at the same time. Single touch of the headset to pickup or end calls from either device is fantastic. No longer hunting for cabled hands free kit, it just works. Great quality, great battery. Should have upgraded a year ago!
I found this headset to be fantastic, one dislike would be that I was unable to lower the volume to a very low level (I tend to listen to music and prefer my phone calls to be at a very low volume level and I haven’t been able to find out how to get this volume level low enough for my liking yet, that would be my only problem with this headset, otherwise it is excellent).
Microsoft cerified ensures there is no awful echo in teams. I have these headphones for around a month now. They make life so much easier. I have to charge them about twice a week. The frustrating thing about them is no warning of the battery life being low so they clonck out mid meeting. If anyone knows how to check battery life, i would appreicate the feedback.
Perfect for Microsoft teams. I have two devices I use teams on and this is able to switch between them seamlessly. Sound quality on calls is crystal clear and I’m no longer getting complaints from colleagues about not being able to hear me. Set up is easy and charge holds well. Bought without the stand and don’t feel like I’m missing it.
I was supplied with this brand of headset at work for 1-2 years. With COVID-19 and the move to working from home full time it has been just as good. Good battery, good sound quality. My OH tried mine and liked it so much he purchased one for himself!
I use this for calls and listening to music. Sounds great, with a deep bass and overall tuning. Only thing that made me regret a wee bit is the material. The plastic feels cheap and the embossed icons are not perfect considering the price category.
Wish I’d bought these months ago – linked instantly to Teams and no more being strangled by the cable everytime I stand up 🙂
Don’t need full noise cancelling as I prefer to hear things like the doorbell, the dog and a bit of slight background noise so they are just perfect for that. I can now comfortably listen to Spotify in between meetings
Compatibility: Works well with my Dell Laptop for work, use it for conference calls via Zoom and Skype. Not used it with my mobile.
Sound: Sound is very clear and crisp (tested this with work colleague) it’s perfect for those mundane back to back long meetings when you want to go make a cuppa or grab a bite working at home. I was using a Jabra wired headset before which worked just aswell but made me feel like a prisoner. This is a great trusted brand if you want to use for this work.
Comfort: very light, soft foam for ears. Very comfy and adjustable head band.
Overall, I really recommend this headset if you want to use this for work. It has made my endless meetings more bearable!
We have bought these initially for a couple of the staff, but they are so good we bought them for everyone. If you invest in one thing during the covid restrictions, when many of us are working from home, it should be this!
The thing that really sold them to us was when my colleague was driving (albeit only 30 or 40 miles an hour) in his convertible, and the customer asked him if he was in the office! The noise cancelling is brilliant, so effective. The main office we have has a very high ceiling and is therefore noisy when lots of people are on the phone. Calling people in the office was awful until we got these, all you could hear was everyone else. Now with the children running around in the background they are just as good at muting that noise too – don’t expect them to cancel 100% of noise, but it will reduce it to such a level you can barely hear it at the other end.
Our needs for these are largely for calls. We spend a lot of time on conference calls to people across the globe, often to non-native English speakers, so it is super important we can concentrate on what they are saying, and that our speech comes through clearly.
We have tried mono versions, and I also have the 85h over-ear headphones and these strike the best balance. Some people have reviewed these saying they are difficult to hear your own voice whilst wearing, but they really are not. The thing is if you have the mono, and anyone else is around you, it can be difficult to concentrate on what the caller is saying, especially if they have a heavy accent and don’t have a pair of these to cancel out their own background noise. You can hear the other caller more clearly with the 65s, and because they do not go over the ear they are more comfortable for longer periods. If it is warm over ear cans are sweaty!
The over-ear 85h’s are so good at cancelling out the noise around you (they have excellent passive and active noise cancelling), but they make it so hard to hear yourself they are best left to when it is more important you hear the person talking than they can hear you (85h is no where near as good at cancelling background noise from your speech thanks to the lack of mic boom).
So in short, the 65’s are excellent at cancelling background noise from speech, comfortable and strike the best balance for most calls where you being heard, and hearing them is equally important.
Fairly lightweight, and has an *actual* all day battery life – as in, I stream music for the entire day and also have phone calls, and it has never given up before I finish..
My first time with this was with a former employer, it was so good that I bought it again for myself, and my other half now has one too..
Some have moaned about the magnetic aspects of the mic boom, but I haven’t noticed any problems with it; the boom has a ‘notchy’ mechanism that holds it in place and can be bent to suit, and I have often found that it has come together itself when I have had the boom at the top..
I got this for remote home working and works well. The microphone arm can clip magnetically to the top but easily undoes so would not be happy to run in them but my daughter borrows them to go for a walk and
Listen to her music and says the music quality is very good
Overall, this is great quality and discreet enough to use as telephone conference headset connected to my mobile phone, whilst also doubling as a stereo headset for listening to music.
The only disappointment is there is no button to quickly pause your music if you need to break off to have a conversation with a colleague. Have to unlock your phone to pause.
Bought for use via my laptop on company’s RingCentral account. Also worked fine on BT CloudPhone. Incoming sound quality is excellent, with almost no glitches or warbles. Callers say outgoing sound from mic is also OK. Needs a USB slot for the dongle, but this can be on an external hub. I tend to put it on charge (USB micro ‘B’ cable, like Android phone charger) after every few calls, but had no problem on a continuous 2-hour session. Ear cuffs lightweight and comfy, not too much pressure, mic boom held magnetically in a little slot out of the way when not needed. Used in a quiet environment so can’t comment on any noise cancelling. Other than that, highly recommended.
I have been searching for good overall headset to work with all my devices – windows, macos and iOS – and deliver outstanding noise cancellation for the microphone. And this is the one! Sitting in a noisy cafe chatting to my team and they do not hear the noise around.
One issue, thus reducing to 4 stars, is the awards process to switch between more than 2 devices. Essentially, the only way is to forget the headset in Bluetooth settings and get the headset to a pairing mode again.
Bought these as my previous headset didn’t have noice cancelation for the mic and I often host conference calls from within a noisy environment (several complaints that people couldn’t hear me over the background noise). However, not a single complaint since – the noise canceling is fantastic on the mic!
The sound quality over the headset is not great though – very faint, with no noise canceling ability, so while others can hear me well, I struggle to hear them over the noise around me…
I had a wired version of a Jabra headset and this is much easier to use without a wire. It is easy to setup and use and works with lots of different computers tested with iPad, iPhone and Macbook and worked very well. Only minor issue is if you put your head forward they can slip off very easily which is a little annoying!
This headset is almost perfect. I say almost and giving 5 starts, because the only negatives are that it doesn’t have active noise cancellation for its user, but only for the other side – but there is higher model option which does both. Distance range and sound quality when using dongle is unreal – full open-space office of people using dozens of devices on 2.4GHz and this headset simply doesn’t care, it just works. Connectivity to two devices at once – one via dongle and one via BT – is great, enabling me to use the headset with my pac and my mobile phone “at once” (one call at a time of course, but both devices connected at once). And Jabra is actually releasing firmware upgrades for it every now and then! I understand the price tag here, it is definitely worthy.
First off, this was bought as “Used – Good” with cosmetic package damage for a roughly 20% discounted price. Actual item, not a mark anywhere on the package or item, so literally as-new – bonus! As for the headset itself, I bought a wired Evolve 40 to test before bulk-buying for our office. While excellent, the cable was coiling and getting in the way overthe keyboard so I thought I’d try the Evolve 65 after hesitating based on a few of the reviews.
All I can say is, for me, with my setup (a DELL Latitude 5490) the Evolve 65 works flawlessly. Connected via Bluetooth to my laptop the audio is slightly worse that when using the provided dongle, but still acceptable. Range was also excellent on both, allowing me to roam the house with no dropouts. However, I would strongly recommend that you do use the dongle as you get a number of benefits:
– It is called “PC” when it connects
– It connects faster than regular bluetooth
– The audio quality is almost as good as the wired version
– There is an indicator LED on the dongle that shows the status (blue for standby, green for in-use, red when on mute)
– You get full control of your computer volume and Skype for Business
The battery is also excellent. After a charge and 2 or 3 hours of use, it still reports a full battery. The headset itself is lightweight, comfortable to wear for extended periods, and not having to mess about with a cable is, as per the title, liberating. Noise cancelling on the mic, based on the Evolve 40, is also really good at blocking out background chatter.
The only thing I’d avoid (and did) is the over-priced stand. It still needs you to line up a micro USB connector. Instead look out for those cables or adapters that make use of magnetic connections for an easy (and reversible) way charge the device without having to fumble around lining things up.
Edit: Forgot to add, people have been saying it’s hard to gauge how loudly you are speaking when wearing these. Granted, they do have some noise insulating properties but I can’t say it has been an issue at all.
I bought this headset purely because we were about to have a baby and I work from home a lot, so thought the noise canceling microphone would be a great tool for conference meetings.
I use this headset almost daily for calls, and it works really well and picks up little noise from baby crying (in next room). I have experienced a few issues where the headset occasionally loses connection with my phone and I have to remove and re-add which is why I am giving 4 stars.
The headset is fine, the quality is good and the signal is reliable. However, I treat my equipment very well and this headset has broken It seems there is a very small and thin piece of plastic holding the earpieces onto the headrest and this one has broken meaning the earpiece is dangling. I can no longer use it.
I have emailed support as the warranty is for 2 years and I only purchased 8 months ago. If support is good I will revise accordingly but for the moment, I am pretty disappointed.
Edit Nov 17: I sent it back to Jabra and they replaced it with no issue. It took around 3 weeks but the new one is working fine. Changing from 2 to 4 stars.
If not for the price, I would have given this headset 5 stars.
Connection was a breeze – simply plug in the Bluetooth dongle into your PC, turn on the switch on the headset and you’re away. I’m using this at work with Skype and I’ve had no problems with it at all. It is so much better than the wired one I had been using before as it offers up a lot more freedom and you don’t have to keep moving the cable away from going over the keyboard while talking and typing at the same time.
I’ve not yet managed to pair it up with my phone as well (yet to try that properly) as turning on Bluetooth on my phone didn’t show up the Jabra. The description says that this can be done, but there is nothing detailed in the start up manual.
Very happy with it. I especially like that you can store the microphone out of the way onto the head strap. It clicks into place via a magnet in the strap.
The only issue I have is that with both ears covered, it is hard to gauge how loudly I’m speaking, but I’ll probably get used to that.
The sound is clear and precise and I’ve not had any complaint with people unable to hear me.
Would recommend
My first Evolve 65 headset died after 18 months so I bought another.
It pairs seamlessly with my laptop (using the dongle) and mobile phone (bluetooth) at the same time. It’s comfortable to wear for long periods, call (and music) quality is clear and its works a reasonable distance from the device. I can also seamlessly transfer calls from my laptop to mobile.
One word of caution however, if you travel with the headset a lot I suggest purchasing a hard case. Mine previous set failed around the silver bands on the headband. I think this was due to them getting bashed about in the soft case in my rucksack.
I particularly like:
– Works with Skype for Business well
– Connects to 2 devices at the same time
– Red light on the headset to show I’m busy
– Jabra Connect software is unobtrusive
What I less like:
– As others have said the headset clamps to your head quite tightly. It’s not uncomfortable but compared to my previous Logitech headset it isn’t as comfortable
– Have to install the Jabra software to get it to work with Skype for Business. I would have assumed it would have worked out of the box with Windows 10.
– Jabra software requires Administrator rights
I was looking for a wireless headset for Microsoft Skype for Business & music and this seems one of the few higher spec ones. The band fit is good for me, though you have to re-compress the headphone sliders to get it into the provided pouch meaning you have to reset that each time. A bigger issue for some is the mic boom is slightly short and a bit close to my face. Sound quality is good for voice, but not so good for music especially considering the price, with noise leak to be expected from this type of design.
Headset build quality good, the USB wireless plug feels like it is going to catch on something and break eventually (though the design is different from previous Jabras which always died that way in the end for me). Note I could associate the headset directly via Bluetooth with my PC, but got unreliable results and some features were not integrated with Skype well (eg mute indication) mic/headphone source selection.
I have been using one of these (the “Standard UC/Stereo” version) for several months now and I love it. It spends most of the day paired with both my mobile (via Bluetooth) and with a desktop PC (using the included dongle). I run a generic SIP client (Zoiper) on the PC. Using this headset, I can easily make/answer calls from either phone. Audio quality on both is excellent.
The headset is very comfortable to wear. It is a nice size and weight and exerts just the right amount of pressure.
The stereo version provides the perfect amount of noise isolation: the worst of the office distractions are kept out but I can still hear enough of my own voice when I am talking that it feels natural (this is a problem with some other stereo headsets I have tried).
The included dongle enumerates as an audio device on the PC, which saves an awful lot of faffing about with bluetooth pairing (which can be hit-and-miss under Windows, in my experience). Just plug the dongle in and tell the SIP client to use the audio device that appears. Nice. It would be very easy to walk off and forget the dongle, though. Replacements are available but they are horrifyingly expensive.
Battery life is pretty good. When it does run out, you can charge it with the (included) USB cable while using it normally.
For use just as Bluetooth headphones (e.g. just for listening to music), the microphone stows above the headband and is held in place magnetically. In truth, one of the few faults I can find is that this magnetic mechanism is a bit on the feeble side and doesn’t hold onto the microphone all that well. Its a fairly minor complaint.
All in all, I’m very satisfied.
PS – There is a similar (and suspiciously similar-looking) Plantronics product available that I have also used for comparison. The Plantronics one has active noise cancellation (which works really well) and is a little bigger but otherwise has a similar feature set. It costs more than twice as much. The Plantronics one is better, but I’m not sure it is twice-the-price better.
Update for 2018:
A colleague who’d been having the same audio issues as me with these said a firmware update in 2018 had fixed them. I dug them out, almost 1 years after giving up on them and did the update – audio now working perfectly!
My only gripe now is they didn’t survive falling off my head to the floor. The only mechanical connection from the ear cups to the headband is a thin plastic tube carrying wires through it, which the ear cups swivel around. A small drop caused one ear cup to break off and dangle for a few seconds by the two fine wires momentarily, before they snapped too.
My summary would now be: almost perfect, but don’t drop them – very fragile design.
2016 review:
I want to like these headphones, I work from home and do a lot of conference calls over Lync/Skype.
Pros: Build quality, comfort and features, particularly dual connectivity with a phone at the same time as a PC
Cons: Everyone else on the calls says my audio goes robotic or unintelligible every few minutes for about 30 seconds. I’m using an HP Probook 430 G1 laptop running Windows 7, so I accept it could be a driver issue. Given they were 100 I’ve struggled on with them, tried recording sound with other software and the same thing happens, so it’s not Skype or network issues. Updating the firmware has made no difference.
Stated 30m range is more like 10m straight line with no obstacles. You can’t go to grab a cup of coffee in the kitchen next door whilst on a call, I’ve tried in three different houses.
Not really suitable for the professional homeworker.
I’m going back to a wired headset.
I have the MS (Lync) Stereo version of this headset, and I’m very pleased with it.
THE GOOD
The sound quality is excellent. In particular, when I’m talking I don’t hear my own voice played back through the headset – and that alone is a vast improvement on the wired Microsoft headset I’ve been using up until now.
The battery lasts very well. I use the headset a few hours a day and charge it every few days and haven’t had it run low.
It’s really comfortable. The ear pads are smaller than they seem from the images but they sit very comfortably on the ears. The bridge between them isn’t padded, but it’s kind of rubberised and I don’t think that padding would make any real difference.
The range is good. I have tried my laptop’s internal Bluetooth and the supplied dedicated dongle and I get better range from the dongle. With the dongle I can just about break the connection by going to the very far end of a large house, and internal Bluetooth stands up to a couple of interior walls but the quality falls off quickly. I strongly recommend using the dongle.
It handles connection to multiple devices well. It was easy to connect to both my phone and PC simultaneously.
THE BAD
It’s a headset, not a pair of headphones. The sound is very good, but it’s not intended for audiophiles listening to music. If you’re buying this for voice calls and a bit of music/film then you’ll be really pleased, but it just isn’t tuned for music.
The microphone boom flips up and is held against the head band with a magnet, which would be nice if it worked. The magnet is weak and the ear pads are designed to swivel relative to the band, which means that the mic and the band will only be properly aligned if you have a strange shaped head. That being said, the boom stays up perfectly well without the magnet – it just pokes out a little bit.
It’s not cheap. I use Lync on average about an hour a day so over a couple of years the cost of this is nothing to me compared to the convenience of good call quality and being able to walk away from my computer during a call. But the fact remains this is an expensive headset and if I expected to use it only occasionally then I would have bought something cheaper.
The headset saves power by switching fully on only when there is sound to output. That means that when you start playing sound then there is a short lag (about 1-2 seconds) before the headset wakes up and starts playing audio. That’s annoying when e.g. starting to watch a short YouTube clip – you begin to play the video and all is silent, then a couple of seconds in the audio switches on and you end up rewinding to hear what you missed at the start. It’s not a big deal and not really what the headset was intended for, but it bugs me a little.
To try to make it useful, I’m writing this after a few weeks of heavy use.
I spent a long time looking before finally splashing out. Overall, I’m pleased with my choice, these are very good, with only a few very minor complaints.
I tried and failed to associate the headset with my laptop’s built-in BlueTooth; in the end I had to use the Jabra BlueTooth dongle supplied with the headset. This is a little annoying, as it sticks out; so I have to remove/re-insert it when travelling. Build quality is, I think, better than the pictures might suggest. Nothing looks overly fragile, and they have held up well.
Sound quality (both send and receive) is good: maybe not as high as dedicated (and expensive) music headsets, but good enough for me and anyway that is not their intended primary use. It is clearly well optimised for Lync/Skype, and works well with both. Speech in both directions is very clear, with no extra delays or other artifacts.
Battery life is a little better than claimed (but then they are still new). It is easy to start (and stop) charging even while they are in use, provided you use a charger and not a laptop USB port (if you do that while on a call there is a short disconnect while the laptop sound settings are changed).
I found the BlueTooth range excellent: I can walk several rooms away and remain connected. I wasn’t expecting that, the building is old and WiFi is terribly degraded though the walls.
Comfort is better than I expected even though the headband is not padded. I found myself re-adjusting how it sits on my head towards the end of each day during a series of 8-hour meetings, but overall I’m pretty happy with that aspect. Such long meetings are unusual for me, otherwise they would justify spending a lot more.
Many mentioned the magnetic microphone store does not work well. This is really nothing: the microphone boom will happily stay in the “up and out of the way” position anyway. The magnet only clamps it to the headband so it looks a tiny bit neater. Anyway, the magnet works on mine.
I did install the software from Jabra’s website. Its main use is to update the firmware (both BlueTooth dongle and headset). I find I use it to check the battery charge as well, it is quite convenient.
The product description mentioned multi-association. I had hoped I could associate the headset with both my laptop and phone. But this is not possible, this was not what the wording meant (careful reading is a good idea!). But changing associations back and forth is tolerably easy if you want to do that.
Overall: well worth the money over cheaper headsets, and does the job it was designed for very well.
I’ve only had this headset for about 10 days but I’m already very impressed although it would be fair to say that for the 106 I paid for them I should be.
I’ve tried a number of Bluetooth headsets as I need them for my work on a daily basis, my requreiments are:
– Must work with an iPhone (6 at the moment)
– Clear audio in both directions (Need to use in noisy environments and in my car, I’ve decided I need a boom mic therefore)
– Reasonable time between charges
– Must fit my big head
– Comfortable to wear
For the last 9 months or so I’ve been using the ‘AGPTek 2in1 Bluetooth headset with boom mic’ and they did work although they weren’t particularly comfortable and they lacked high frequency response so with some people I talked to I was constanly having to ask them to repeat what they’d said due to them sounding indistinct. They were a fraction of the cost of the Jabre Evolve 65s so maybe that’s to be expected.
The Evolve 65s though are so far faultless, excellent sound quality, very simple to connect and turn on and off. They’re comfortable to wear for extended periods and the battery life has so far been impressive.
The boom mic is a little short which can lead to the person on the other end getting some heavy breathing but is easy to re-position and can be stowed vertically against the outside of the headset band when not using the mic. The mic though won’t stay attached in the stowed position when the headband is opened to anywhere near maximum (which I need). This is a negligable issue though.
So far I can heartily recommend this headset for anyone needing to use their phone while working with their hands.
This headset works fine apart from (and could be user error) if I have it connected to my PC and my mobile, and I receive a text on my phone when I am on my pc lync phone it will place my lync call on hold and keep asking me if I want to read the text or ignore. once I say ignore it will go back to my PC call but missed anything they said.
Also I don’t think I can control my music from the headset ie skip to the next song. But for Lync calls it works well.
