This is my second one of those cameras and still very happy with those pieces. Good quality outside, works with no problems. Highly recommend
A great idea and design, you can plug this into any screw fit bulb socket or lamp and you have instant security camera.
It was easy to set up, the only issue was the QR code was too small to read on my phone, but a different phone was fine. Once this was solved, it quickly paired up to the app and was available for use.
The picture quality is absolutely excellent, especially compared to other stand alone cameras I have.
The pan and tilt options are really good and the ability to do a 360 view and straight up or down depending on how you mount it is extremely useful for all round monitoring.
The app is pretty intuitive to use, although the option to flip the picture over took a bit of finding, but that was probably just me.
The daylight vision is great, as is the night vision.
Really recommend this product.
Easy to fit, app on phone is easy to install and can be used by more than 1 person.
Good value – will be buying more.
It does the job , for some reason it took ages to set up but after works fine, picture quality and speaker clear , I have not test all the features but overall it works well, easy to control with app. Came well package and not damaged.
Great camera. Easy to set uo and the picture quality is excellent. Delighted
I’m so impressed with it it’s fantastic cannot believe it for the money its perfect for security in my home I have ordered another one
Having left a poor review yesterday after the app had not worked for two weeks. It started to work again.
I think the issue is with the app not the camera.
It works well when the app functions.
Incredible quality from such a little camera, this thing rocks. Brilliant quality camera, absolutely brilliant and the app that controls it is so effective. The set up had me wondering how on earth this could be made so cheap.
The night vision is unreal, quite shocking really and the motion sensor is brilliant.
A great quality item.
I am going to start this review by saying how pleasantly surprised I was by this lightbulb camera. I wasn’t expecting great things given it’s relatively low cost and also I had a worrying concern around how light from the bulbs close proximity would impact the image and playback quality. I am happy to say though that my worries were unfounded and I needn’t have fretted. Here’s why
Let’s start with quality and setup. The camera itself has been constructed predominantly from ABS plastics and feels fairly solid and robust. It only supports 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5GHz so bear that in mind is that’s something you need. It doesn’t come with any form of internal memory either. Most of these types of camera don’t to be fair so that’s not unexpected. It will support a TF memory card up to 128GB so do factor in a little additional cost if you need to store images and video locally. You do need to download an App called 360Eyes from the App Store or Google play to take advantage of this device. I am using an IOS operating system so will be commenting on functionality of that but I would imagine the Android equivalent to be very similar. The camera connected quickly and easily to my network and I was pretty much up and running in less than 5 minutes. As the camera plugs in directly through your existing light bulb fitting, no additional power sources are required to operate the camera.
It was surprisingly small as an overall unit if I take the bulb element into consideration. I guess I just assumed it was going to be quite imposing and obvious but it really isn’t. I mean, obviously if you look at it, it’s easy to tell there is a camera sitting there but it doesn’t draw the eye too much. It records in 1080p which means picture clarity is decent enough for most peoples purposes. I am actually using mine in the garage as a monitoring and recording tool rather than a visible deterrent. What I particularly like about this unit is the cameras ability to view a full 360 degree arc. The app lets you scroll the camera around and it’s quite responsive so if you want to reposition it’s field of view it’s really simple and easy to do so through the App interface. You can also hear and speak to people/intruders via a two way microphone that’s built in although I did find the quality here to be very bit and miss.
The App itself is pretty basic but has all the features and functionality a basic user would require. You can subscribe to a cloud based storage system to keep photos and videos but I personally didn’t bother with this and elected to keep my data private and stored on the local TF memory card. Now there is a downside to this format. Should someone break in and decide to nick all my power tools etc. theoretically there is nothing stopping them also pinching my camera by simply unscrewing it from its fixture. The camera, card and all recorded evidence are then gone. The only possible way to have any imagery is if I screenshot the break-in live as it’s happens. So, pros and cons here. You can download images and photos direct to your phone from within the App too which is a helpful inclusion.
There is also a couple of other features of this camera to point out. The manufacturers have included something they refer to as ‘humanoid function’. Lol! That’s definitely a made up name. Essentially the unit has some infrared sensors located around the image sensor which quietly scan the darkness for movement. The camera is then supposed to sense when an individual enters its field of view and automatically turn your bulb on, thus illuminating the room and bathing your would be burglar in light. It’s ok and does work. It there is a slight lag between movement senses and the bulb illuminating. It’s not significant mind you and doesn’t really have an impact on recording. You might just miss a few seconds of the person entering the room, especially if they are moving faster than a walking pace. The companion App will then send a push notification to your phones Lock Screen informing you of movement. All rather good so far.
The other feature which this camera comes with is supposedly motion tracking. If I am being completely honest here though, this just doesn’t work. It stutters and jumps around and I found my videos tended to be rendered virtually useless to view, so I personally wouldn’t bother activating this option if I were you. Fortunately you can toggle it off from within the App. The other downside to this option is that if you toggle it on, then the push notification alarm can’t be used at the same time. Seems a bit counterintuitive to me and I really don’t understand why the manufacturers set it up this way?
As I have already mentioned, image quality is pretty good and all my pictures and videos are crisp and clear. You do lose a reasonable amount of clarity if zooming in on any particular area, but no more so than other similar cameras available within the marketplace at present. Night imagery is pretty good too, again considering the low retail cost of the unit. It’s a little grainy but still more than viewable. Overall I am more than happy with this camera and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It’s retailing at 29.99 (at time of review) and Amazon have a voucher attached that can be applied taking a further 10% off. For this price it’s a no brainier in my humble opinion. A superb quality product at a more than reasonable price. Perfect!
This is a review for E27 Light Bulb Camera,1080p Wi-Fi Home Security Camera. It was 29.99 at the time of review.
The reason why it attracted me to order to try is small, portable and make good use of a bulb socket for security camera. This is a bit unusual in terms of design and availability in the market. I was surprised by its size when it arrived, it basically about 1.5 times the size of a normal E27 light bulb and all you have to do to install it is to screw it onto a bulb socket which support E27.
In order to get it work after the hardware installation (simply means plug the camera into socket), I’ll have to download a software called 360eyes app from either Apple store or Android playstore depending on which type of phone you use. Another thing is to ensure your wifi is available and stable. User account need to create in order to get the app to work. You’ll then need to search for the bulb using the app and get them hooked. It takes less than a minute to do. Once done, I can rotate and tilt the camera. The app allows snapshot and recording, you can record it into the SD card and there is an SD card slot on the camera for you to do so. The image is clear and is 1080p as mentioned in the product catalog.
I find it very useful as I can enable it whenever I am away and get it installed on corridors or living room. Since its using the bulb slot, it is easy to setup on the go and burglar is not that easy to spot on it.
No one would ever think of looking in the leight fitting for a camera!
Easy to use, just screw in, down load app and away you go!
The app is easy to use and simple to control the camera and setting. The tracking mode works well, following the object around.
It switches automatically into night mode where the picture is still clear.
All in all for under 30 this is a great bit of kit for some piece of mind.
The camera screws in like any regular lightbulb. Setting up via the app is pretty simple. There are many functions, including timers, light control, motion detection, and tracking of motion and more. The camera can rotate 360 degrees and tilt up and down by swiping the app’s camera picture. To help deter intruders, there is also a siren feature and two-way audio. You can record videos and take images, then watch or save them. The image is great during both day and night. The clever mobile tracking’s ability to automatically follow a moving body is one of my favourite features. The motion notifications are almost instantaneous. I’ll definitely use this when I go on holiday, but not every day because I need the lights. A great wide-angle security camera that can be easily screwed into any socket. You can stream a 360-degree view of your room to any iPhone or Android device.
Good quality camera for the price. It is easy to install and it can be used in different scenarios from surveillance ( when you are away) to a monitor for a toddler as an example. I love that this is portable so you can screw it in ( as long as there is a screw in type bulb there) and it is ready to go in no time wherever you are. It comes also with an adapter in case a screw type is not available, so as I said it can be installed and used in multiple situations. This a different type of camera, good quality for the money! Didn’t tested yet the recording function as I don’t have a card free, but once I get one, I will do an edit about this.
Overall I am happy with this item!
With the voucher and sale price this camera is well under 30 at the moment which represents very good value for money. It’s really easy to set up – just screw it into any E27 sized socket in either a ceiling light fitting or lamp. Downloading the app and connecting to the wifi we’re both easy enough to do,p. The app is fairly basic but I don’t mind that as it’s simple to use. You also have the option of sending data to a SD card (they don’t give you one so you’ll need your own) or signing up for a cloud account for online storage. You get decent quality image and audio along with the option of 2 ways audio using the app. Overall pretty impressed. They have a nice balance between enough functionality and it still being easy to use.
This CCTV camera is hardly noticeable because it has an unusual design.
The security camera has 1080P high definition quality and offers a 360-degree panoramic vision and beautiful, fluid real-time footage. It has an infrared fill light that produces high-definition black-and-white images during nighttime. The camera can automatically track and shoot whenever a moving human body emerges so you can keep track of all movements. Take note that it only functions with 2.4GHz networks. You can install the app on your phone and connect it to the camera for you to easily control it.
Since the camera controls are the same as those of other Wi-Fi camera apps that I have used, I found the program to be very simple to use and navigate. The app also supports recording and taking pictures. Both in the daylight and when using night vision, images are in full HD and are quite clear. When it first arrived, I was shocked by how small it was, but the craftsmanship is excellent.
Overall, this moveable security camera is excellent to use when you’re away or when your home is vacant. The design is innovative and the construction quality seems to be excellent. I’m pleased to recommend it.
This review is for the Light Bulb Camera,1080p Wi-Fi Home Security Camera, E27 Interface Smart Home Surveillance Camera With Two-Way Voice, Night Vision ,Human Motion Detection,Smart Tracking and Alarm.
A nice well made camera, simple to set and use.Good clear image, both day and nigh. Love the E27 connection which means less wires. Has a number of features, all seem to be working well.
This is an easy to install, discrete, security camera/light designed to help secure your home. I found it to be very easy to link to a mobile phone simply by taking a picture of the QR code on the bulb then following the instructions. There is a large pin enclosed inside the package, which is required to press the reset button to communicate with your mobile phone and enable the connection to wi-fi. Connecting to Wi-Fi, I found can easily log into the app and monitor what the camera sees and, best of all, I can do this from anywhere. Firstly though, make sure your mobile has the app installed to read QR codes which are downloadable from Google Play or via Apple.
Simply install a 128 GB micro-SD card. The recording device will auto detect and record to the memory card, providing you do not exceed 128GB. Your lighting system must have at least one E27 connection, as the bulb camera is of the E27 screw in bulb type, if so, then you can install this security camera to help protect your property. The camera can be installed internally or externally.
I found the quality of the video in daylight to be very clear and sharp and anyone walking past would be easily recognizable. The camera can also record movement at night, using the built-in infrared lights. Although the camera is able to detect movements and record in the dark, I found the quality was not quite as sharp as daytime recording, but it was clear enough to recognize any intruders. There is also a built-in microphone which picks up sounds from the area in which the lamp/camera is installed.
An excellent product.
Nice little discreet cctv camera. Very easy to set it, it requires being screwed into a lightbulb holder and being connected to WiFi with an app you can download on you smart device (phone or tablet). Reasonably priced in comparison to others i have tried. It seemingly has a good build quality and I have no complaints about the picture quality either. All round good purchase to be had.
This home security camera differs from the others I own in that it doesn’t require a power cable, it just screws into a standard E27 screw-in light fitting, be that a pendant or a table lamp. If you don’t have a socket a somewhat flimsy mounting is provided but you’ll have to wire it into something yourself. Naturally it’s much heavier than a light bulb but it’s not excessively heavy and my pendant fitting had no problem with it.
The camera comes with clearly laid out instructions and I had no trouble setting it up. I screwed the camera in, downloaded the 360eyes app onto my phone and connected it to my home wi-fi. It does only work with a 2.4GHz network, but that is the case with most of the home wifi-cameras I have tried.
I found the app very easy to navigate and use because the layout and camera controls are identical to other wi-fi camera apps I have used. Moving the camera is a bit slow but it rotates all the way around and tilts up and down so gives great coverage. Images are full HD and very clear both during the day and when using night vision. Like all wi-fi cameras there’s an option for cloud storage should you want to pay for it, but I prefer to use a micro-SD card.
The camera has a standard set of features including two way intercom, motion detection, alarm (both siren and LEDs to illuminate any intruders) and notifications. All of these work pretty well. If you don’t want it spying on you you can set it to private mode.
Overall I am very impressed with this camera. Build quality seems very good, the design is clever and there’s no compromise on functionality. The price seems very reasonable too, so I am happy to recommend it.
This is a great idea, a security camera hidden inside a lightbulb! It was relatively easy to set up once I’d figured out the instructions (and got my kids to help me!) I don’t think I would use it every day or when I was in the house as it would be a pain to have to keep changing the lightbulb but certainly if I was going away for a holiday or if I wanted to keep an eye on my pets while I was at work. Picture quality wasn’t too bad, not super clear but clear enough.
Since i have to hire a cat sitter for my holiday, I was worried about my personal belongings and if my cat would be treated well. This screw in bulb camera does the trick with full 360 degree movement that can track and record anything that’s going on. This of course also helps me to keep an eye on our cat and see how she’s doing with the sitter.
This is also essential to make sure that our valuables are safe and that nothing bad is happening without us knowing about it. I would say this is a must-have tool for those who want peace of mind when going away on holiday. Overall, a decent camera with a small price tag.
This camera comes in a box with instructions on how to install and set up
The camera itself is sleek and white with black in the middle. It’s on a roller call so it can be easily rotated.
The camera is quick and easy to set up even if you are not a very technical person. There is a step by step guide in the instruction booklet which all you have to do is connect the cables and just download the app.
Once set up it can be controlled from your phone and the camera can be moved around and see everything
Takes a few minutes to install but it is very simple. I had no problems.
The camera also has audio so you can listen as well.
This is good for your home for example a baby bedroom, pet monitor or just generally around your house if you are not in. You can feel safe with this camera as you can check in at any time.
It’s a great product and good quality for the price.
It’s good how there is a SD card slot so you can have this to record for motion detection for security purposes and there are connections to connect to your alarm system to trigger when motions are detected.
Overall a very good IP camera compared to other products and works really well and the material is very smooth and strong for long lasting and the quality is very good.
Easy to setup, instructions relatively straight forward.
I use this when I’m going on holiday & it works great. Not sure when you would permanently have this due to it using light bulb slot, maybe if you have too many??
The quality is relatively good & the app is pretty straight forward. Great to notify you if it senses movement’
First impressions of the packaging it looks an expensive item you have some great information on the box limited photos of the unit and I’m presently surprised.
Surprise inside the box that should get a fixture to hang the bulb (as the fitting is E27 screw ) like a normal light brilliant obviously to work the camera pro correctly you need a SD card and download the app so you can monitor the pictures.
Took seconds to download using the GR code be easy to follow the instructions pair of the camera to your app and then use to monitor your room.
Impressed that you have a two-way intercom so good if you do need to speak to someone and you outside the house.
Quite good price point at 33 I don’t have E27 fittings inside the house so I have to use the cheap adapter which is inside the kit which is disappointing.
This is a cctv camera with a difference when it comes to its look. By that I mean that it’s not your usual system when it comes to putting this in position. There’s no need for screws, hammers or ladders as this one simply screws into an E27 light fitting that’s it.
It’s about 150mm long with a diameter of about 70mm, with the lower rotating being and the camera itself being about 45mm wide.
Once this is screwed into the bulb socket you have to connect it to your smart phone/tablet, using the free to download 160eye app.
The instructions to connect this over WiFi are simple to follow and takes only minutes, if not seconds. Once done your ready to check out what this can do.
You also get a fitting in the box if you want to connect this where there’s no actual bulb socket to screw this too. So this can go anywhere really.
The apps lets you control the camera, rotating 355 and tilting up to 90, which covers quite a scope.
The picture quality is excellent with a resolution of 1920×1080. Even the night vision is better than I expected, turning darkness into a sort of black and white image of what the camera sees with crystal clarity.
It offers motion detection and auto tracking so there’s no avoiding this if you’re trying to burgle a property with this watching you.
It also offers a two way intercom system so you can chat with anyone caught in this camera’s path, with the speaker on the rear giving a clear sound, clear enough to hear.
You can slot in a micro-usb card into the camera or record on the cloud storage offered, (account and money may be needed).
The app is simple to understand and gives you full control of the camera.
In all, a fine, easy to connect/fit cctv camera which will look over that which is most precious to you. Well worth the 32.99 price tag (At time of writing)
Very good security camera with a sharp picture. Fits in very easily and is easy to control via your phone. It’s well made and can cover the whole room. Fantastic.
This CCTC Camera is fairly unusual in that it screws into an E27 type light socket.
When the camera arrived i was surprised to see how small it was, it looks much bigger in the images on the listing, however i was really glad it was so small as that meant it wouldn’t stand out as much in the light fitting connection.
The camera build quality feels ok for a camera of this price range. It comes with an E27 fitting which means it will fit into most lamps or celling lights with a screw fitting. If your lamps/lights are bayonet type push and turn fittings then you can buy a very cheap adapter which changes the bayonet type into an E27 socket.
I installed this camera in my stand up lamp. After a few seconds of turning the lamp on the CCTV camera sprang to life and started saying something about the WiFi not being connected. I download the free 360eyes app from the Appstore and set up my login credentials. The app then searched for the camera which it found within about 20 seconds and configured my WiFi connection. The app is fairly basic but allows all the functionality you would need – you can rotate and tilt the camera as well as switch on and off two way or one way audio. The app also allows snapshots and recording. I had to flip the image with my setup, but again this was easy via an included function within the app. Images were crisp and clear when windowed but became a little grainy when made full screen, however i suspect this is just the cloud streaming quality. If you were recording to the SD card *slot within the body of the camera’ then the images are apparently full 1080p – i can’t test this function as i don’t have a spare micro SD card at the moment. The camera also has several IR LED’s to allow for B&W night vision. Again this worked well. The camera also has a tracking function which means it will follow any movement before returning to it’s home position.
I don’t intend to use this camera on a day-2-day basis, i plan to install it into the lamp when we are going away from the house, that way i have a portable CCTV system that can be used when required without any hassle of setting up cameras. The Pan and Tilt function is great as it means the camera can be placed anywhere and you can see the whole room without worrying about placement of the camera.
Overall this little guy is pretty good, and is a great removable security device for when your property is empty. Others may choose to leave this up permanently.
I hope that you found my review helpful.
This was simple to set up, just make sure you insert the sd card before powering on, once set up it offers clear video quality in both daylight and nighttime, it can be powered from an e27 light bulb socket or the e27 extension lead and overall image and build quality is good so it’s good value too, recommended to all.
This camera is really good, just make sure you have edison screw fitting.
Works absolutely fine, no issues.
Easy to connect to the phone via app.
Picture quality is great. Night vision is good too. You can also talk.
Simply good camera for the price.
