I have only just installed this soundbar and I am mightily impressed. Both with it’s performance and the help I had from majority in choosing it. They went OTT to solve a problem with the one I first bought which proved faulty.
You simply can buy with confidence from these people.
They won’t leave you dissatisfied.
i just wanted an a audio boost to get some bass and cut-through family chatter on the couch. this works perfectly, and we’re nowhere near using the maximum volume. definitely better than tv sound, and unless you’re an audiophile this system works perfectly. listening to music, youtube or gaming the sounds is massively better than tv by itself.
also it’s quite compact, fits easily under our 50″ tv with plenty space to spare.
easy to setup, connection to the tv was trivial, works completely fine with headphone jack, optical or eHDMI.
the remote is mostly superfluous with eHDMI since it just syncs to the tv volume, but you can adjust the bass/treble using the control if you really want, doesn’t seem necessary.
Not a bad sound bar for the price
Clear sound don’t believe some reviews
I’d previously bought a Majority Snowdon II soundbar which I thought was pretty good, but this is considerably better, with the sub-woofer adding a whole new dimension to the sound – as always with any new audio product, the first thing I did was to play ‘So What’ on it, from the Miles Davis album ‘Kind of Blue’ – it’s a track I know so well that I tend to use it to test the performance of new gear and the sub-woofer brought out Paul Chambers on bass really well. It’s hard to believe that you’d get sound so good on something so slimline, but it didn’t disappoint, build quality overall is good for the money and connectivity options are great (Bluetooth connected nice and easily) – good value overall and highly recommended!
I am pleased with purchase, all parts included. Quick delivery.
Bought just to boost the output of my tv to make the dialogue better
Connected via arc set up in 5 minutes no need to use the remote as it works via my tv remote once setup
No hdmi cable in the box is my only niggle
No more asking the wife what did they say while watching a film
Purchased a Samsung Crystal UHD telly which came with all bells and whistles but the only problem was the sound as it worked off the 50 to 100 volume rate for high volume and that didn’t cover the entire living room.
This soundbar and subwoofer kept up the expectation and the quality of the sound is excellent on a low 25 – 28 with optical connection.
The different EQs are a nice icing on the cake .. Recommend this product for good quality sound lovers in a decent budge
Nice size budget system, we are using it at our caravan so ideal
This is a quality soundbar which is well built. The quality of sound for the price is astonishing. It is far better than the TV speakers as you might expect but also far better than our previous LG soundbar. The FM radio option is of no use to us as we live in a radio signal shadow but radio is readily available for the Smart TV anyway! The EQ button is not very intuitive and there is no explanation in the manual of the three settings. The remote feels flimsy but seems to do the job. If you looking for extreme bass look elsewhere but for sheer quality of sound and nuanced music this is a great purchase.
I was sceptical about the sound quality of this bar, however, having read some reviews outside of Amazon, I was persuaded to give the K2 a go. Having set this up on the new Hisense TV we got for the bedroom recently, we were quite impressed not only by the features, such as the ARC connection to the TV, but it’s ability to connect to other sources such as iPhone via Bluetooth. I also hadn’t realised that it also has a built in FM radio tuner, we’ll probably never use this, but for those who will, it’s a nice bonus.
Sound quality through the K2 from the TV/DVD is a vast improvement over the TV speakers, and with the extra bass from the sub, make for a pleasant listening experience. Bluetooth music from my iPhone was a very pleasant surprise, and is well rounded and not at all boomy or too bright as I’d experienced on other audio devices.
All in all, a great little soundbar at this price point, which is easy to set-up and install. I would also guess, you may well have to spend considerably more money on another product to hear any significant improvement in sound. Longevity, we will have to see, but for the moment, we’re just enjoying the sound it makes!
Looks good, build quality is good, and definitely an improvement over the built in speakers on my Samsung UE43J5500. However if you’re expecting to be bathed in surround sound you will be in for a disappointment, there’s hardly any stereo field at all, it’s more like having a higher quality mono speaker under the TV.
Blue tooth was easy to set up and works well, I can push audio from my laptop onto the soundbar easily. The remote is small and lightweight, too light maybe at 50g inc batteries, but has all the functions you’d expect or need.
I was surprised considering Majority pushes itself as a British Company to see the ubiquitous ‘Made in China’ stickers on it, sign of the times I guess. For the price though, overall I am pleased with my purchase.
Bought this for the kids playroom for Xbox and Youtube videos. Price was good so thought why not.
On opening I was pleasantly surprised at the good looks of both the soundbar and the sub woofer. Only thing I was a little down on was the power brick wall plug, as I was hoping to stick it behind the TV on the wall, but there is no way they plug will fit back there.
Nevermind I went to plan B and after Hooking it up to the TV via ARC HDMI, I powered on the sub woofer which is stored in the corner of the room.
While it isn’t Dolby, it does have a very clean and clear sound and the Subwoofer does an excellent job. No hassle getting it all working either, it just does.
All sound can be controlled via TV or it’s own remote and when you power on the Xbox it all powers up (and off) automagically via ARC.
Not sure the subwoofer goes into standby though, as it just shows a red light when powered on, whether the soundbar is on and connected or not. Not sure how much juice it will take just leaving it on, so I power it off. Would be nice if it did go into standby and maybe it does, but I don’t know.
For the money I’m very happy. Perfect for a play room or a bedroom. For the lounge I’d want more features like Dolby, but overall you can’t go wrong with this nice little set up.
I bought this on a special price deal through Amazon which convinced me to give it a try as the reviews were generally good. Looking at the RRP, I was prepared to be disappointed but this unit is far better than others I have tried in the same price bracket or above.
The bass response (which seems to be the main criticism) is subjective. If you want the thump, thump, thump, monotone bass which seems to be the hallmark these days then you will be disappointed. The bass response from this is more muted, but far more natural. You can hear the difference between the different notes instead of them all being the same thumping frequency.
The level of bass is controlled in two ways, and some reviewers do not seem to have read the instruction manual – there is a four selection bass option but, also, the bass response can be increased by use of the EQ button that offers three separate sound equaliser options, each with a different level of bass. Judicious selection of these options provides a good, natural bass level that gives a clean response in music but also gives a shock thump in Marvel and DC type films.
My niggling criticism centres on the limited on-screen TV display showing what is going on with the sound bar but this is only a minor criticism as, once you have set it up, you don’t really need that. I did have a few minutes delay in setting up bluetooth but once I had turned that facility off from one of our tablets, it connected up ok. There has been no interference since, even with having both units running at the same time.
The level of sound is more than adequate for an average size living room.
Overall, I am really happy with the K2 and would have been so even at its full price
I recently purchased the Majority K2 sound bar and Bluetooth subwoofer and I am extremely impressed with the combination. The sound bar itself has fantastic audio quality, with clear and crisp sound that really enhances my TV watching experience. The added bass from the Bluetooth subwoofer takes the sound to the next level, adding depth and richness to the overall audio. The setup was incredibly easy and both the sound bar and subwoofer are very user-friendly. The sound bar has a variety of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, optical, arc hdmi and an auxiliary input, so it’s easy to use with a variety of devices. The compact size of the sound bar is also a major plus, as it fits perfectly in my living room without taking up too much space. Overall, I highly recommend the Majority K2 sound bar and Bluetooth subwoofer to anyone in need of an affordable and high-quality audio upgrade for their home entertainment system. The combination of the two truly brings movies and TV shows to life with stunningly realistic sound.
I cannot find anything at all negative to say about this very reasonably priced Soundbar system, and that’s after trying a few others.
I found real duds like the Panasonic 150, which produced a sound dull & lifeless.
This soundbar contains FOUR midrange to high frequency drivers, and has even a small bass port, though for deep bass one one obviously uses the beautiful Bluetooth connected K2 bass unit which produces deeper bass than the Panasonic or Creative Stage V2 ( that has a wired sub-bass unfortunately)
The K2 remote is useful, in that it not only has the usual “EQ” button, but separate bass & treble “up and down” buttons, too.
No more distracting lights from this Soundbar, press and hold the EQ button to switch the lights off and on.
This is a British designed unit, from Cambridge, once called The UK’s ‘Silicon Valley”. There is no hint of any far-east involvement in building it either.
Every one of these great units sold gets a tree planted in the UK.
This K2 Soundbar comes with my very highest recommendation and endorsement.
There quite a lot to like about this sound bar
But here’s what really is the most annoying fact
The Bluetooth frequency is on the same signal as many remote items such as my solar lights and also my lazer ceiling decoration
Every time I turn the volume down on the sound bar the solar lights switch on
It’s the most frustrating item I ever purchased
So unless they address this issue
It should be considered to be a really duff product that I wouldn’t even recommend to my worst enemy
If I was you skip this product and go for a more expensive one that does not operate on such a common Bluetooth frequency.
If I had the opportunity to replace it I will.
Fantastic has a great sound easy to install and use
Nothing fancy but good emough to massively improve the TV’s sound
Great sound, quality and value for money, I would high recommend it to othe
great sound easy to set up, great remote but not sure about the subwoofer, great for rapping, which we do not listen to, but not good for voice with just boom boom boom in the background so switched off so really did not need the K2 should have purchased a sound bar without i
This is great just what I would have expected sound is good bass is good and set up is so easy
Great to start with but over time the sub-woofer has lost connectivity 2 year old now replaced
The only thing I’m not too happy about is the sub woofer, overall the sound isnt grea
Being a total audiophile, I expect nothing but the best but I bought new Tv and as usual, the sound quality was akin to the dog passing wind in a thunderstorm.
I don’t watch much tv anyway so I thought I’d treat myself to a sound bar. So I popped on here with the angle that cheap product would sound naff and spending that extra few pounds would give me a “semi decent”, barely acceptable sound.
Then I saw the Majority K2.
Looked ok, had a separate sub, reviews were pretty good so I though, why not and clicked the button.
I’m glad I did.
Next day I received my sound bar and got it set up.
Easy instructions and despite my cautious purchase, I can honestly say that this product literally blew me away.
Excellent sound quality, great frequency range and a surprisingly high output with crystal clear definition.
I’m now looking back at what top range Audi I’ve bought over the years thinking how much I’ve spent.
Highly recommended
British design.
You won’t be disappointed.
This sound bar is AMAZING!!! Great value for money! Well presented and excellent quality!!! Does the job and is reasonable in price!
The sound from this little unit combo is warm and clear. We have a small living room and the sub delivers enough depth to enhance any music genre. For the money I recommend.
Now I’ve had this for a while feel I can write a review now. Unlike the lot that their item what ever it maybe and uses it for two minutes and gives a 5 star.
So with this very easy and simple to setup, doesn’t get that loud but loud enough for watching a film or just listening to some music doing house work.
Bluetooth is really easy to setup.
Haven’t used the radio function so can’t comment on that.
Only issue I have is after a while of being on the “sub” starts to crackle and is very annoying when trying to watch something. Not sure if it’s a defect of not.
Other than that it’s not too bad.
it is a budget sound bar to enlarge your TV sound, do not have high expectation of the sound quality.
Sound is clear and the unit itself is well designed . The issue i gave is the bass unit drops out frequently even though it is only a few feet away with no obstruction. The bass itself is poor at best when it is operational. Due to the poor bass of this unit and the fact the sub drops out frequently, I will have to look at a replacement in the near future
This is the second sound bar I have purchased from Majority I’ve been using the first one for around 3 years and I’m stunned by the sound quality I get from itI bought it based on customer reviews and it hasn’t disappointed for the price it can’t be beaten I have listened to other systems 4x the cost and I wouldn’t changethe second system is equally as good and excellent valueWell done to Majority a great British product!
Apart from the rather ‘interesting’ box it came in,which incidently, took me 5 minutes to open properly, this sound bar is pretty good for the price. It looks good but has a design quirk that I dont get.Why didnt they put the status display in the middle, instesd of at one end, which effectively shortens the sound stage of the speakers.Having said that the unit looks the part.I got the black one and it fits under my 50″ telly no probs.Setting up was simple.I used the optical option and it virtually set itself up.The sub connected immediately to the main unit easily, and because its wireless, you can ‘experiment’with positioning, just so long as its near a plug socket. It came with a selection of leads and accessories including an optical lead, even tho the manual says one isn’t included.
Plenty of power output, although I do think that the sub is slightly underpowered. Its adequate, dont get me wrong but I have to keep it at its upper limit volume wise (it goes up to 4 but 5 or 6 would’ve been better).Treble response is ok and there is an EQ setting with 3 different effects. All in all,for the price, its pretty good value.
I bought this soundbar as the sound on the new slim tv’s is now not very good. (I wonder whether the manufacturers now expect people to have soundbars?)
Ordinary programs are fine, but for music and films, better sound is needed. For about 100, this product is excellent value for money. The bass speaker adds a lot to music and is connected automatically via Bluetooth, so it can be located anywhere in the room. The soundbar itself is fine, the speech/treble notes are not as crisp as you would get from a Bose, for instance, but they cost three or four times as much! On our tv, connected vis HMDI, it comes on when you switch on the tv (an LG) but it doesn’t turn off when the tv remote is used to turn off the tv. A slightly more annoying glitch is than once changed to remote speaker, via the tv settings menu, it does not ‘stick’, so the next time it is turned on, the tv has reverted to internal speaker. This may of course not be a problem on all tv’s, and doesn’t take long to change to external speaker again.
Overall though these speakers are very good value for money. Only time will tell if they last, but at the moment I am very impressed!

I’m really quite impressed by this. We’ve got a much more expensive Bose sound bar at home, and I bought this for our holiday place.
The remote and UI is simple and intuitive. Bravo. It’s got HDMI-ARC which is a game changer. I have no idea why sound bars come without it these days.
The sound quality is decent. Good range of EQ options. I’ll echo what other reviewers have said: the base from the sub is very subtle. And is better when listening to music over Bluetooth.
I’ve not really been able to test the built-in radio as I think it’s too remote out here for FM stations.
I’d buy again.
Good addition for enhancing poor quality TV Speakers. Subwoofer is effective enough to give atmosphere to Movie Playback and adjustable as to NOT annoy neighbours in the Flat below.
Quality product for home comfort use definitely would reccommend this product to a friend.
One minor being the Subwoofer does minor sound adjustments on its own accord in some cases (noted by little pops in sound when watching films) but later alleviates itself and carries on as normal.
Bought for a TV.
Setup was simple. The package contained all connector cables needed for all inputs and outputs.
Worked first time. Integrates to TV remote for volume and on/off.
You get what you pay for, and for this soundbar/woofer it is worth every penny and a bit more.
Would 100% buy another if needs arise
This sound bar is very good value for money. It’s not fancy and not over engineered. It works well and sound quality is good. I have mine connected with the optical cable supplied with the unit and it sounds great. As in a lot of other reviews, the sub woofer is not so powerful but in a medium size room is quite adequate.
I paid 56.00 for this Soundbar and for the price I can’t complain. The sound is a lot better that the normal TV speakers I had. My only grumble is that it’s not massively loud on full volume. It works best I find when it’s on full volume. The Subwoofer seems very quiet even when the volume is on full. The Bluetooth I find sometimes cuts out and I have to turn the TV off an on again. If you are wanting a superb cinamatic experience id go elsewhere but for 56.00 this has decent sound and is not bad at all.
This is a really good product for the money. Sound quality is clear and crisp with the addition of a lovely bass with the woofer. Set up simple I have used the included optical lead to connect to the TV. Bluetooth feature really good and the soundbar can easily double up as an output for streaming music. Remote is really good too simple to use. My only would like is; the remote does not switch on or off the woofer. You have to switch this on/off separately which can be a bit of an issue if you want to hide the woofer behind the settie or something.
I am hard of hearing and struggle with mid range frequencies (which is usually speech), my previous sound bar did not help it just increased the volume and added a little extra bass just extra noise with no clarity and I still struggled to hear speech clearly even when using my hearing aids.
I was in trepidation when I purchased the K2 I was worried it would be the same as my old soundbar, well what a pleasant surprise, the sound quality is good, and I mean really good, the mid range frequencies are crisp and clear I can hear peoples voices with absolute clarity without having to use my hearing aids. watching a movie is so immersive a good surround sound. I it isn’t Dolby but its a pretty good 2nd, the sub woofer works a treat its not overpowering but gives the right kind of beef. I used the optical cable for set up as my TV doesn’t have HDMI Arc. what I also liked was every type of installation cable has been provided so you are good to go, plus you get get a 3 year warranty when you register it and they also plant a tree on your behalf. All in all for the money I think it is well worth it for the price and would definitely recommend.
You get what you pay for. A great budget and value for money soundbar. Bluetooth connects really quickly. Sound is really good and the stand alone wireless sub provides a nice low bass. Easy to set up. Loads of connections such as Bluetooth, ARC, line-in and optical.
Never gonna be as good as a BOSE or more expensive. However it does what it needs to do, sounds great and at 60, no complaints from me. A*****
I love this unit although I had to have it replaced as the original was faulty.
The sound quality is great, both from the bar itself and from the subwoofer which I’ve placed across the room about 6m away. Never having had a soundbar before it’s like being at the cinema with surround-sound.
I connected with the optical link as it seemed the best, but other options are available. Bluetooth from my phone is awesome, but be careful to switch off your phone Bluetooth before setting up as this may interfere with soundbar & subwoofer connecting. You can enable it again afterwards and all should be well from then on.
The FM radio is however very disappointing – the aerial is nowhere near long enough to pick anything else so it just crackles loudly, which is momentarily annoying as you cycle through modes from Optical to Bluetooth and back.
Another minor annoyance is that you can switch on/off the soundbar with the remote control, but have to switch the subwoofer on/off with a switch on the back.
But despite that I’m very happy with the unit. British too!
My original subwoofer was very intermittent and often cut out completely. Majority Support agreed with my complaint and after verification of my order refunded through Amazon quickly, after which I ordered a new one. But it’s such a popular product I had to wait a week until it was in stock again!
I’ve just got around to using this soundbar.
You will appreciate the improvement when you turn it off and hear the difference between your tv speakers and this soundbar.
I had some initial issues, with the sound on some tv channels not working.
Still not sure why, but Googled the issue and found a couple of useful messages relating to settings on my Samsung tv – which worked.
I thought the sub-woofer wasn’t working, but when I turned that off I appreciated it must have been contributing to the bass.
Because of the above, I nearly returned it, but wouldn’t be without it now – persevere, it’s worth it.
My first impressions of this small sound bar are that it’s like my girlfriends ugly sister, great for a party but you don’t want to be with her on a daily basis.. I am going to bear in mind that I have downsized from a 1000W extremely loud Samsung set up to this and review accordingly.
The unit itself is easy to set up using an optical cable, I only watch YouTube so this suits my needs very well, and once set up the soundbar automatically pairs with the sub. The sub and bar are powered by a small adaptor each so there is a need for a couple of extra sockets behind the TV.
As far as weight goes this is a very lightweight system, I stress very, I think the packaging weighs more than the sub and bar together. Not that this affects the sound quality, especially considering the price point, but I have found that this unit is better suited more to music than TV (audiobooks, documentaries etc) and the sub gives out a surprising amount of bass for such a small light unit.
I’m not an audio snob but I think there is something satisfying about having an amp and speakers and I’ve always liked separate’s ever since I was a kid. This all in one kind of thing takes a little getting used to but with houses getting smaller and more cramped what choice is there and I expect my neighbours appreciate the downgrade.
Summing up then…. For me this unit is ideal for some music with a little bass thrown in and it has a decent volume in a smaller room (16″ x 10″) but if you want proper quality sound then you need to spend and the more you spend the better things sound as a rule of thumb.
The sound of this 2.1 (left and right channel plus subwoofer) Majority K2 design belies the size of the soundbar. The subwoofer is ‘wireless’ so needs a wire to the power socket but no wire to the soundbar itself, so can be hidden out of sight, yielding a surprisingly immersive and tardis like experience far beyond that delivered by a TV’s internal speakers – and I have a Sony XH95 which apparently has some of the best sounding speakers of modern flat panel TVs. Suddenly your TV speakers you were happy with will sound really tinny in comparison so beware!
The sound is rich and natural with good bass depth and impact and while the sub can ‘bottom out’ and pop (distort) with music that has deep bass rhythms this was not a real issue when watching TV and movies (for sound recordings see my Amazon profile YouTube channel).
The HDMI ARC integration means it can be controlled (power and volume) from the TV remote control so its own remote is only needed for changing source to Bluetooth for example.
The soundbar dimensions mean even on a low stand it will likely not block the picture but you’d be wise to check this.
It’s worth noting that the K2 speakers are actually offset to the left in the soundbar so when you place the soundbar centrally on your TV table less sound comes from the right (though this isn’t really noticeable) and while the soundbar itself is longer than some designs like the Creative Stage v2 the left-right separation is actually even less at 56cm at the widest point rather than 60cm on the Creative and 70cm on the Bomaker.
Bluetooth makes it useable for playing tunes from your phone (it also has a built in FM radio though I didn’t use it) and the sound is much louder and more powerful than from my Echo Show 8, though the USB socket doesn’t seem to support use as a laptop/PC audio device which would have been nice.
The only slight negatives are the slightly garish logo on the sub (which thankfully, as mentioned, can be hidden from sight) and the sound EQ mode indication displayed being a numeric code. The K2 has 3 modes Adj which is fairly flat and clear, Movie which kills mids and Dialogue which boosts lower mids and reduces treble. Adj has the most clarity but can sound a touch tinny and sibilant in the treble (though much less tinny than TV speakers); I settled on 0 for treble and 3 for bass.
Unusually it comes with all cables and batteries so you are ready to go immediately. Majority also plant a tree for each unit so overall a great value system and a good choice if you want an inconspicuous setup (with the sub hidden from view) that really surprises with the extra bass but won’t upset domestic harmony.
This is a superb quality soundbar/woofer for the cost. I have had for around three weeks now and am really impressed. My son who is into his drum and bass is often Bluetoothing his music with really deep bass. If in any doubt play “The Weekend – The Hills” it has mental ability to handle the bass.
Control is a cool simple, mode, treble and bass. Bass and treble go from -4 to +4 so you can adjust to what you are listening to. Soundbar comes on and off when you use your TV control and the TV control also does the volume on TV and soundbar and soundbar control dose volume on TV together also. Really clever.
Bluetooth woofer just needs plugging into mains and Bluetooth from phone etc still works on separate frequently. Kind of two Bluetooth ability.
Radio is fair and has easy auto scanning for channels just by depressing and holding play/pause.
Comes with optical connector and 3.5 double ended jack as well as HDMI cable. HDMI is what I used to TV and I think that’s what must be syncing the volumes.
What’s really weird, is that where you place the woofer in the room, it sounds like it’s coming from the soundbar, but it’s not. Turn the woofer off and you can hear the soundbar is not as deep. Really happy. Usually “recommend by Amazon” is a good endorsement and in this case, it’s rocking for music and TV. I honestly don’t think you can get better for this price. Well done Majority/Amazon.
I read reviews about this sound bar and it sounded great so I bought one.
I have to o say it really is fantastic. Sound quality and bass tones really good. It is a fantastic system fir the money, BUT……. this may well be a quirk with my system but at times it’s causing our home Wi-Fi to block the signal! It’s definitely the Majority system because when I turn it off the Wi-Fi returns Ian putting up with it for now as I think it is cycling the channels as it’s not happening all the time .
This does not detract from the fact that it operates, sounds and looks fantastic.
The soundbar is good and functional and a nice size to fit under a TV or on a bookshelf which is where I keep mine. The soundbar does have an issue which is that the individual speakers on the left of the bar are louder than those on the right giving an uneven sound distribution though this is not entirely noticeable unless you are standing very close to it.
The subwoofer is the most obvious issue. It connects immediately and setting it up is very easy but it is often very quiet. My subwoofer is placed on the opposite side of the room to the bar and I have to turn the bass settings up to the max in order to actually consider its existence. The only time it works well is when I have the system to a floor-shakingly loud volume at which point the subwoofer is very obvious so I guess if you are someone who is likely to have it on max volume most of the time this isn’t an issue for you.
Besides these issues the system is very good for its affordable price. I use mine with a record turntable, Amazon Alexa and connect it to my phone via Bluetooth and it works pretty well with all of these but I am yet to try it with a TV. All in all a worthy purchase for any music junky such as myself.
The best sound bar I’ve bought. Both the others cost me much more. Majority K2 gives the best speech clarity and detail of the three. The sub-woofer is light-weight, but works well and completes the full frequency range. There are two EQ settings apparently called ‘movies’ and ‘voice’ and an ‘adjuster’ setting with bass and treble, each with +4 to -4 range, initially set at zero. I have the setting at ‘voice’ with the sub-woofer switched off except for music. The EQ values and the connection mode are displayed at the righthand side of the bar. The EQ button long-pressed turns the display off. A feature of the K2 is a good choice of inputs, including line-in, optical, USB and HDMI ARC; I use the latter with a Panasonic TV linked to HDMI 2; the sound bar is recognised automatically by this TV, after a short wait.; then the mode of connection is displayed. The bar pairs with the sub-woofer automatically on first switch-on. The remote control comes with batteries and a free HDMI lead is included.
I have a few miner criticisms of the Guide booklet, but the K2 sound bar itself is excellent, It also comes in very interesting packaging.
Well, I can honestly say that I’m happy with my purchase of the Majority K2 soundbar. Once everything was plugged in and connected up, which was simple to do, it sounded great. Impressive sound quality for under 100:00. Its probably not world beating but for the price I’d say it’s pretty amazing. If like me you’re on a budget and just can’t afford the more expensive brands this is a great budget soundboard. You can adjust the bass and the tremble individually and there is plenty of both.
Lots of connection options which is great for me, I do music production, so I can route my Tascam US 2×2 sound interface via the Aux option (which is primarily why I bought the K2). It hooks upto my p.c. no problem, the sub woofer hooked up as soon as I plugged it in, no problem. Just scanned the F.M. mode and again simple. The K2 itself is light and easy to move if you need to. I can’t play my T.V. through the K2 because I have an old T.V. and it just won’t do it but that’s o.k. we’re getting a new smart T.V. soon. But at least I know how this one sounds if I want to use it on the new one!
Overall this is a great soundboard for the price.
I was looking for a ‘cheap’ sound bar for our kitchen that’s just been renovated as the built in speakers on our LG tv are rubbish for a large room and we only use that TV for background music/YouTube so didn’t want to spend hundreds. Now my first impressions of this system were that it is crazy how it came with every cable you could want inc a HDMI, optical cable, mini jacks/phono and power cables. I didn’t realise this so it was a welcome surprise considering how some expensive sound bars only include a power cable. The sub has a 4″ Woofer so is obviously not going to be shaking your room however fills in the lower mid range that the drivers in the bar cannot create and leaves a nice balanced mix. It’s also super simple to ‘setup’. You just turn it on and you’re good to go! .
Connecting to my TV via ARC, everything worked automatically, turns on/off along with my tv so I don’t need the remote for daily use except for changing settings (which set you never really change). One feature I do like is that the little screen on the bar can be turned off which I love, however this every now and again turns itself back on which I think is because the system is turned on via my TV/Apple TV. On my LG sound bar which was over 500, the screen is permanently on and it bugs the heck out of me.
Now the volume gets surprisingly loud for a sub 80 system and even in my large room, I only need to put the volume to 25 out of 50 for it to be loud, but usually I’d leave it at around level 10. Only minor downside I experienced is that I wanted to flush fit it underneath my tv but the FM aerial is permanently attached and hdmi port is facing the wall so the included hdmi cable doesn’t fit, however HDMI cables with a thin connector are only a few anyways and for the value of this system with everything included, I can’t really complain. Once I changed it, super easy to mount with just 2 screws. You can turn the led screen off and it just works. For the price, yes it’s not going to sound the same as a 500 sound bar or have body shaking bass but it’s a big upgrade from flat screen tv speakers, is cheap and comes with basically everything you need.
Bought to go with a new 50″ Sharp TV which has Harmon / Kardon speakers built into it which were just ok The K2 Sound bar @150 watts just lifts the Whole Listening Experience.
The only Disappointed thing is the sub woofer which I can barely hear was hoping to put an early Star wars film on so I could hear the Engine roar out across the floor as I am sat at the opposite end of the living room !!
Not to be !! Just set it up last night and am considering If I should return it and bye a high end sound bar with a really good subwoofer TBH Don’t know what to do.
It’s Not all Doom and Gloom though as the sound bar it’s self really packs a punch and I think it would be unfair to return it as Majority have managed to out perform my last sound bar (Samsung)
it seemed very easy to set up, however it kept losing the sound when connecting via ARC HDMI, optical was fine, haven’t used Bluetooth yet so I cant comment on that. eventually after some settings adjustment of the tv the arc HDMI was working. For the price its a great product. its not going to replace 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound but its not designed to do that. its a vast improvement on the tv speakers, its bass is good without being too loud and the clarity of the sound bar is excellent. overall I’m very happy with this product and would highly recommend it as an upgrade for your tv sound.
Ok, I’m not a sound bar expert but I do enjoy good sound / music. The Majority K2 in reality replaces the old music center you may have had but with the added benefit of being sleek and modern. It all connected to the TV without issues. Probably the best way to connect the bar to the TV is via HDMI/Arc since this allows you to use the TV remote for mute / volume functions (also this connection is supposed to be better than optical). So that’s the TV sound sorted and the wireless bass box works fine, although the best bass effect is when the volume is high. The bar includes FM radio; blue tooth to work with your phone / i-pad etc; USB to connect music on memory stick (MP format); and it also has a line in to use from your Alexa or other equipment. So, It’s not just TV sound bar but an ideal way to listen to your music, streamed or otherwise. Sound and bass reproduction at high volume is good indeed, but this can be subjective. Overall a good buy for the price and functionality.
Until last week I wasn’t sure we needed a soudbar at all because the sound from the TV seemed to be doing the job pretty well and no-one was complaining. But I was tempted by the reasonable price and the many positive reviews for this unit, so I ordered it.
And I’m very glad I did! Watching TV is now a completely different experience.
The parcel arrived on time, as usual from Amazon, and it was very obviously a soundbar — no plain brown packaging here. Everything was securely packed up, and it took me a few minutes with the scissors to actually get in. There was even an optical cable in the box, even though it said there wasn’t. This is what I used to connect it to the TV.
Note — during setup, plug everything in BEFORE turning on the unit. This way you won’t spend half an hour trying to work out why there is no sound coming out, as I did.
Once I worked this out everything just worked. The subwoofer connected automatically, no problem. It’s subtle but adds weight to the sound, especially at higher volumes.
The instructions don’t make it clear but the three EQ settings are – 1. ADJ = MUSIC 2. MOVIE 3. VOICE. It’s very difficult to read these on the display itself. You can adjust the treble and bass separately, so it’s easy to find a sound you like.
It goes very loud, by the way. I haven’t dared turn it up beyond 15, and I believe it goes to 32. Normal viewing is at volume 3 or 4, and 1 when the kids are in bed. I could use a volume 0.5, but it’s not a problem as I can always turn it to zero and use the TV volume if I need to.
The sound is excellent, with no hiss. The soundbar itself looks and feels high quality — the subwoofer less so, but you’re supposed to hide it behind the sofa anyway, so that doesn’t matter.
All in all I’m very pleased with this purchase, and I wish I’d bought it sooner!
Unpacking the box revealed a well-packaged product, with instructions, cables and remote control. It was really easy to pair the wireless sub with the soundbar, you simply switch them on and wait, then a beep confirms the pairing succeded. I tested the K2 with the Bluetooth connection using my phone and with my TV using HDMI. The sound is really clear and loud, much better than my Samsung costing 3 times as much, maybe not as loud but the quality is better than quantity. You can easily adjust the bass and treble from the remote, The TV remote also controls the soundbar if your TV has ARC HDMI. I would definitely recommend it as a quick and easy solution to enhance the sound of your TV.
Firstly, very well designed and packaged product which ensured the sound bar and subwoofer arrived without damage. I was also impressed with the number of options for connectivity and with all the supplied cables which is rare these days. Setting up the sound bar and subwoofer was straight forward and quick. The sound bar looks very sleek and unobtrusive. The build quality feels superior and robust. The subwoofer looks very stylish but I was very surprised at how light it is. Given this, I wasn’t expecting the punch it gives! I like listening to a deep and clear bass, and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I replaced my older Panasonic surround sound system with the Majority K2 and I have not been disappointed. The Bluetooth connectivity between sound bar and subwoofer is faultless and using Bluetooth to connect my iPad and iPhone to the sound bar is instant and reliable. I would say that it is excellent value for money and with the 3 year warranty on top, you can’t go wrong. The only thing that would have been better would have been the possibility of being able to use my Sky remote to operate the system. Just a small niggle.
For the price, this has got to be one of the best soundbars out there. Do keep in mind the price you are paying though.
I really like how all the cables you could possibly need are included, and set up was a breeze. Sound is fairly good, when bass is turned up you definitely notice it thanks to the sub. Trebles are not bad, mids are a little drowned out but overall the sound quality is 7.5/10, which for the price is great.
Remote is excellent, and the unit definitely gets loud enough. Also, it performs well at low volumes which is something I was looking for. No hissing through optical cable and no dropping out. Bluetooth is stable and have had no issues.
So far, great purchase.
I bought this product after reading other reviews. I had looked at other more expensive makes but as this is the first soundbar I have bought I thought I would go with the Majority because it seemed an excellent price. I wasn’t disappointed. The soundbar is excellent and the instructions from the box are extremely helpful. I connected via HDMI arc and the soundbar worked perfectly. I suggest you read your TV manual because I had to make some changes to the sound output but once this was done the sound was excellent. I cannot believe the quality for the price. The soundbar and subwoofer connect instantly and then once it is paired with your TV you just use your TV remote to control the volume, I am so impressed with the sound. It is much louder than the regular speakers but the sound is very crisp and sharp. I watch a lot of sports and the sound is perfect. I am so glad I bought this product. The price for everything you get is amazing. I am not sure why other makes are so expensive when a product of this price sounds as good as it does. One tip I would say is follow the instructions regarding the subwoofer and pairing the soundbar. Turn off other wireless devices in that area so it can get the best connection. It took we two goes to get the best connection but after that the subwoofer sounded great. The bass is great, especially when watching action films etc. I can’t recommend this product enough. The tech is great, the price is great and it is so easy to set up. Don’t go spending loads more money when you can get sound for this price.
Overall a decent product, a few things let it down such as the remote control (bit cheap feeling) and the length of the supplied cables, I had to purchase extra length for the power to the sound bar. The subwoofer can be situated anywhere as it connects via Bluetooth, this is a bonus as it meant I could hide it out the way without cables trailing. Overall set up was quick and painless. The soundbar comes with all the cables you would need for your set up, I have mine connected via the HDMI (ARC) which means I can use the TV remote to adjust the volume on the soundbar. If you have it connected via optical or audio cable connector, you will have to use the soundbar remote to adjust the volume. Like other reviews I’ve seen, the lower the volume the subwoofer barely registers, however, when the volume is optimal, it gives a decent enough kick for the size of room. If you have a massive room expecting great sound then this isn’t for you, however if you have a medium to smaller room, this is a perfect budget soundbar.
Given the price for this item, it really does represent excellent value for money. It comprises two elements, firstly the actual soundbar which is placed beneath the TV and secondly, a bass unit which you can place anywhere in the room as long as there’s a power socket nearby. The two are linked via Bluetooth and that link just works. As the bass frequencies are handled by a separate unit, it allows the soundbar itself to be relatively slim and unobtrusive. It itself contains two speakers for each of the left and right channels and a central port which seems to be a blend of left and right. Although such an arrangement does create a fake stereo image, it does have the advantage of reinforcing the centre stage and thereby helps the audibility of centrally placed dialogue We have a Samsung series 7 TV and had concerns regarding compatibility, given other reviews, but had no problems linking optically or via HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Using ARC has the advantage that the soundbar’s volume can be controlled using the TV’s remote but there’s no audio delay control with our TV to allow for lip sync adjustment, should it be necessary. Lip sync problems can arise when using a Firestick plugged into the TV for example. Linking optically did give that control but of course that is TV dependent. Others have remarked that little sound emanates from the bass unit. Whilst true, subjectively the bass ambience produced does significantly improve the overall sound. The remote control allows the user to change bass, treble and preset equalisation settings with the resulting sound being pleasant, sharp and with depth. The soundbar with bass unit can also act as a Bluetooth speaker which, when coupled to a music source, allows the unit to shine with the bass having real presence. The included FM tuner may be useful to some but, as we’re in a poor reception area, the wire aerial was inadequate. That doesn’t really matter though as radio stations can be found-a-plenty on Freeview, Freesat and streamed via a phone or other device. In summary, this would be a perfectly attractive and acoustically pleasant purchase that wouldn’t hurt the pocket of a budget conscious buyer. You could easily pay twice as much for something not nearly as good.
I use this sound bar with an LG 43″ TV and must say that the sound quality is a great improvement on the TV’s inbuilt speakers. The depth of sound and the extra bass provided by the subwoofer are excellent for a budget sound bar and HDMI ARC works well with the main sound bar unit to reduce the number of remote controls needed for normal TV watching. Unfortunately the subwoofer is not switched on and off by the ARC facility, only by the ON/OFF switch on the unit so you have to remember to do this manually. Bluetooth pairing is easy and the range is good. I have tried the FM tuner but tend to use the TV Freeview radio because the antenna is very sensitive to position and interference can be caused by just walking past it. The LED indicators for the main functions are easy to read but the EQ Mode indicators are too small to be legible through the front grill so you have to go by the position of the item illuminated rather than the text.
In conclusion, a good value sound bar with a few minor niggles but nothing I can’t live with.
Bought a new TV and wanted to complement it with a nice sound bar for watching movies. I looked at a lot of reviews on several sound bars around this price mark on amazon and took a bit of a gamble with this one however have been pleasently suprised. Everything required for set up is included in the box (unlike bigger brands). Ive set it up with the optical cable as my tv has the option to pair optical output with the built in speakers. Pairing the sub was quick and easy and being wireless means i can have it on the opposite side of the room to my TV giving a surround sound effect.
The sub doesnt have any form of independant volume control and as per a lot of the other comments can be quiet. If you want a soundbar and sub that shakes the room when turned up this probably isnt the one for you. It does however complement the soundbar nicely and though it cant be heard all the time, its there when you need it. The best way i could test this is by switching it off and you can really hear a difference in the sound quality and bass.
I did find that when using the soundbar in conjunction to my TV’s built in speakers, speech does sometimes sound a bit tinny with a slight echo. This isnt all the time and when watching anything on virgin its actually very good. If it doesnt sound quite right its easy enough to mute the TV speakers and just have the soundbar on!
All in all its a good set up to complement the TV’s speakers or to be used on its own adding that little bit of bass and trebble that you dont get from built in speakers. For the price you cant go wrong!
Purchased this to replace my TVs in-built speakers and have used it almost daily for about 2 months. It looks nice and the wireless dedicated subwoofer is a good plus (more on that later). I usually use the HDMI ARC audio connection as it is connected to my TV. One thing I’ve noticed with this however is that there are huge gaps in volume between the settings. For example, Vol 1 is a little too quiet but Vol 2 is way too loud, conversely if you want background level volume vol 1 is still too loud for that. A little more control on how loud or quiet you can have it would be nice.
Remote control does it’s job, nothing flashy but does what you want of it.
Sound quality is really nice, voices are clear, music punches and the dynamic range is good for a soundbar this price. One issue I noticed however (hence the 4 stars) is the lack of bass coming from the subwoofer, most of it coming from the soundbar. This is mostly an issue I’ve noticed with HDMI ARC, if I connect my phone using bluetooth and set the soundbar to a really high volume but set my phone to a much lower one you get a lot more bass from the subwoofer.
However, great little soundbar. Recommended for the price.
Nice little sound bar with wireless woofer
Sub woofer is wireless too which is really nice as avoids limiting the position/trailing wires
Not a full cinema experience though (I have a 5.1 amped system to compare). So if you accept this you will be pleased.
However turns a tinny flat screen tv with poor voice audio into a very pleasant viewing experience with vastly improved spoken word audio clarity.
Quite loud too (and loud enough to be well above what you need to fill a large lounge with sound)
HDMI too so you don’t typically need to use the remote after initial setup (volume controlled by your tv remote if using hdmi)
Bluetooth audio works well too eg can play music from my phone / pad
FM Radio is analog and I am in a poor fm area so could not really test this .
I did not test the optical input
All in all a very respectable package and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product.
I would recommend this for
– anyone unhappy with the spoken audio / tinny experience their flat screen provides
– people who want decent audio but not requiring the full home cinema seat rumbling experience
– second rooms
– student/teenage rooms
This is a value product which is best suited to day to day TV watching. It is not a full fat cineoma surround system, if thats what you want then spend more money. This was very easy to set up, I set up with the HDMI cable which was included and the ARC works fine. I have the subwoofer behind my sofa about 3 meters from the soundbar, it has not dropped out so far. I have the subwoofer on an old kitchen chopping board which is better than on the carpet.
I like the simplicity, I have used the bluetooth to stream music from my mobile, works fine, the radio is a bit weak, but this was not on my wish list so is not likely to be used.
The EQ pre installed settings have just a bit of difference but it is not clear from the manual orthe display on the unit which is which, I am contacting majority for this and hope they will put more information in the manual.
All in all for the money I like this. I am not an audiofile and suspect if I was this is not the unit for me. I was looking to get more from my TV speakers and this is exactly what this does.
Cheaper soundbars aren’t always the upgrade you expect them to be, so I knew I was taking a punt at this price, but I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance on offer here. It certainly packs a punch, to the point where in the evenings the sub is off entirely and the bar is at volume level 1 for fear I’ll keep the neighbours from sleeping. It looks the part too.
It has one HDMI port (cable supplied), aux/av (cables supplied), optical port (no cable) and can be paired with Bluetooth devices as expected. Also features a built in fm radio.
What’s not to like? Well, two of the eq presets introduce a lot of hiss, and another hdmi port would be nice, but for the money this is a very decent offering.
Looks very well built, and fits in well with the TV. I have it connected via ARC to my Samsung TV and the sound if not outstanding compared to my Rogers speakers/HI-Fi(not a fair comparison though) is infinitely better than the TV speakers. Remote control is a good size and includes Bass and Treble controls but the sound is ok on the default setting. My wife likes the ability to turn off the display light on the soundbar. I have had it now for two weeks and having bought a Bowfell before the sound is much better balanced , due to the subwoofer. I also use it when not in TV mode using it alongside a raspberry pi via bluetooth for music playback from my NAS and the sound from my “reference” music sources the sound is very acceptable. There is also a FM radio on the unit but that is the only downside, it comes with a wire dipole which cannot get much where it is positioned. Perhaps majority will add an aerial socket, having said that if I want to listen to the radio on the soundbar I use Internet radio on the pi/phone/tablet over bluetooth or even on the Telly. Overall at this price point I would recommend it to anyone with the caveat that sound reproduction is very much down to the listener’s ears/tastes and personal to everyone.
Oh I forgot i thought Sheerness was in Kent and have never been so I couldn’t give it a rating for that 🙂
