I’m on Stage 4 now and the bag of rocks I got as part of the kit now amount to 14 stones with the smallest being 0.5cmx0.5cm. The rest are pretty much grit.

Will update when full cycle complete.

4.0 out of 5 stars You'll need a lot more rocks

Fun while it lasted. Unfortunately the motor has burnt out after 9 months. I’m hopeful nat geo will help me out here.

Edit: Nat geo came through and sent me a new one out.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot for a gift for the Mrs. She loves it . Works really well. Just wish the thing came with a soundproof box. Sounds like a tumble dryer with a pair of shoes in it. And it goes 24/7 doesn’t bother her obviously haha

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI had one of these when I was 13, just 43 years ago then 🙂 I can see it on the shelf in the garage so when my 23 year old expressed an interest I popped to the parents to retrieve it. Gone of course. So I’ve bought her this one for her birthday today. It does the job, polishes stones, beach stones look fab after treatment. I loved it, living at the seaside, you can equally tumble pathway stones or stones from the garden. And if you buy the correct medium (ball bearings) you can turn shiny glass beads into matt beads naturally instead of using etching fluid.

Please though, this isn’t a toy for a 5 year old, buy them something to push around the garden or a dolls house or a train set. No child of mine was ever going to find any sort of thrill in a stone tumbler that did nothing but turn around for 4-6 weeks and produce shiny stones until they were teenagers. Please be realistic. It doesn’t mean it’s not a good product. Yes of course it makes a noise, it has stones tumbling around inside it, what do you expect. Stick it in the garage or in a cupboard if it’s a problem for you .

    A great little machine.

So far this product has lived up to it, it’s been going none stop since the day I had it, I’m on my 3rd step and it’s still going, my only fault with it is, I’m too nosy an impatient, I like to see how my stone are going half way through, when I stop it, it takes it back to day 1, all I do is start it back up by the day I was on, but I do love it, will be doing my own rocks as I live by the beach, so happy days for me

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas a birthday present for my 11yr old. Straight out of the box this feels sturdy and good quality. Comes with enough rocks and grit to get you going with your first batch. Has been on constantly day and night now for two weeks with no issues. This does create some noise but we have this set up on the kitchen table with a folded tea towel under it to dampen the noise a little. I work from home and the noise doesn’t bother me at all. The rubber drum on this unit will make this much quieter than the cheap alternatives with hard plastic drums. I can only imagine the pain of having one of those cheaper units clattering round for weeks on end.

Have done one session of polishing. Takes a fair amount of time, but results are worth it.

A very long process so patience is a must. But produces lovely shiny smooth stones. I would recommend putting this somewhere you don’t go often when it’s on. It’s not incredibly loud but the noise becomes very annoying when it’s on constantly for days.

Perfect for children to learn about stones, how they are polished using other stones, grit, sand etc. Great little kit with little sample rocks plus all the materials to polish them with. Great present and one happy little boy!

I bought this for my wife’s birthday three weeks ago and its been running almost nonstop ever since. A really good starter set for rock tumbling, it has everything you need to get going. The only thing to consider is that it can be quick loud when running, but you’re tumbling rocks, it was never going to be quiet.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI’m new to rock tumbling, only been using this for a week or so but I am amazed of how these dull rocks can turn into beautiful vibrant crystals/gems by time. Love this lil machine already! Easy set up, right size, great quality. ( I also cushion mine because it can be pretty loud )

    Amazing!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI am picking up a hobby I had 30 years ago and realised I had not lost my enthusiasm. The main constraint is patience. Each grit run can be 2 weeks in duration and a learning curve in itself. You Tube offer assistance that would have been manor from heaven when I first started so take full advantage. Everything easy when you know how.

The product works but be aware that it needs to stay on 24 hours a day for 3 to 4 weeks to complete a cycle and it is noisy so if you don’t have a room far away with a socket I would not recommend it. On the other hand I must say it does work and the stones look great.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrilliant little tumbler for the money and amazing customer service!!
I had an issue with mine after about 3 weeks, I contacted them on the Friday afternoon and by 11am on Sunday I had a brand new one in my hands.
It’s quiet, cheap to run and it does the job very well.
I’ll be purchasing more in the future!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorking very well so far. Rubber design makes it quieter than cheaper plastic versions but still noisy – make sure you have somewhere out of the way you can set it going. Don’t forget this is a way to speed up natural erosion so each stage (there are 5) will take about a week, maybe more depending on the stones you’re working with

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersDid exactly as expected, a rock polisher for turning your geological finds into pieces fit for jewellery or keepsakes.
Takes longer than expected to get the desired results but everything you need is in the kit.
