Fibreglass Poles

The Wichenford 3.0 is made up of 5 fibreglass poles that feed through the pole sleeve and fits a ring & pin at the bottom of the pole. The clips on the tent clip on to ensure a tight fit and a strong tunnel shape which stands up to the standard British weather.

The Wichenford 3.0 is our largest Poled tent and is well suited for going away with a large family or a big group of friends. There are 2 large inner tents, one at either end of the tent and a large living space with room for a table in the centre. For that extra bit of room during the nicer weather, two steel poles are included to hold up the door panel to create a canopy. The waterproof Ripstop Polyester with 5,000mm H/H and sewn in groundsheet will keep you warm and dry in all weather. The Tent includes 3 Bedroom Inner tents. 1 x 4 Berth with a removable divider and 2 x 2 Berth Inner Tents all with zip-able doors and fly mesh.

The Wichenford 3.0 uses five fibreglass poles to pitch, to create a large, compact tunnel tent which is perfect for a number of different uses. This tent can be used for weekends away, fortnight trips away, trips involving young families, or for large groups who want to go away in one tent. The Wichenford 3.0 has been made from a Ripstop Polyester which is designed to retain it’s strength once ripped. This material makes a durable tent that even when a rip may occur, will contain the rip so that you’re able to make quick repairs. The Wichenford 3.0 has been coated with a waterproofer with a rating of 5000mm H/H. This means that the Wichenford will allow up to 5 litres of water (or equivalent pressure) on the canvas before it will start to allow water through. The seams have been taped and heat sealed to stop water ingress at the stitch points.

How many bedroom tents are there?

There are 3 inner tents – 2 x 2 berth inner tents and 1 x 4 berth inner tent that has a middle divider – This divider can be removed to have a 4 berth area or kept in to create 2 x 2 berth.

Does this come with a groundsheet?

The groundsheet on this tent is fully sewn in to keep pesky bugs out.

Do the doors have fly mesh?

All doors on this tent come with a mesh netting. Including the bedroom inner tents.

What is Hydrostatic Head?

Hydrostatic head is a waterproof rating to do with pressure. Our tents are rated at 5000mm which means the fabric will withstand 5000mm of water or pressure before water will ingress through the fabric. Three times the UK’s minimum rating!
