Nice sturdy porting bench. Mine isn’t moved around much so time will tell how sturdy it is over time . Instructions nice & easy with labeled screw bags .
Good height and useful shelf & draw.
Only gave 4 stars as comes unfinished, I should of painted / sealed it before I used as the top won’t clean now (I was too kenn to try it out), would been nice with a pre finished top.
Other than that I would recommend esp how it cost half RRP in sale.
Product arrived on time. Product was just as it had been advertised. It was of good quality. I am very pleased with it. Am looking forward to using it in my garden.
The good bits: Easily set up, one person takes less than an hour to build and looks impressive set in the garden afterwards. I added a little bit of trellis between the bench and top shelf.
More importantly the potting bench is functional. The sink makes it easy to wash off compost and dirt, I added a few small hooks to the side so I could hang a trowel, fork, small brush, microfibre cloth and towel. The higher shelf is great for the Gardners necessities (at least in Scotland such things are) slug pellets, narrow seed trays and plant treatments.
The wood on the lower shelf is thin but sturdy and I am hoping now that it has been treated it will last. It seems sturdy enough.
I am very pleased with my new potting bench.
Nice table, easy to put together with a few bolts and screws. No issues getting any in and attached. Comes untreated so you’ll need to treat/paint it before use. I went for a simple clear wood preserve, then teak oil to give colour. Outdoor paint would work just as well. The drawer is pre-assembled, as is the table top /shelf. You are basically just attaching legs! Wheels make it more practical than others I looked at, though a handle at the pulling end would have been useful. The drawer is compact but can fit some small tools. The bowl is the only bit I’m undecided about. It’s handy when potting, but when the table is unused fills with rain water, but there’s no storage for it other than in situ in the tabletop. In the scale of things not a big issue though.
The item is fine. the only criticism is that two of the nuts are impossible to hold for the bolt. Even an 11-year-old found the gap too small. Easy enough to put an additional screw in. No other criticisms.
Nice and sturdy potting bench. The one I received had a split in the top which was unfortunate but a quick email to the seller and a complete replacement was received. Now that’s customer service. The bench itself is well proportioned and a good height for working from. The one thing that would make it perfect is a handle on the side in order to make moving it that much easier.
Just had to add the final 5th star. The customer service from these guys is exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Not only is the potting bench good value, but if there are any issues these guys will go overboard to put it right.
