Having a huge problems with moths in my old building flat. Put 4 of these up. They are doing the job. They’ve caught a lot of moths so far, every now and then I will see the occasional one which I spray with moth killer. Will continue to use to see how it goes. So far I’m happy with the product!

These moth traps come iin a pack of 6, each trap is individually wrapped in foil to keep the trap fresh.
They can be hung with the paper hanger or they can be folded into a prism shape to be placed on top of furniture.
These work by attracting the male moth, they won’t attract the females but if they are put out before spring starts to kick in they can interrupt the mating and life cycle significantly.
They will also alert you to the possible source of the infestation if placed strategically at different locations around the house.
Each trap should be replaced when full or at least every 6 weeks, which ever is sooner.
They won’t eradicate a moth infestation but they do work in interrupting the life stage cycle and keeping things under control, they are a very useful tool to aid in the process of eradicating the moths.

I seen the odd moth flitting around in the bedroom. I have placed these moth catchers on the shelf in my wardrobe, I have not seen any moths stuck to the trap but I have not seen any more moths either since installing these moth catchers. They are easy to open up and they also do not have a strong smell like some moth deterrents do.

    Pros:
    – Easy to use and assemble
    – No smell when in use
    – Can sit on a table/shelf or be hung up on a rail
    – Decent longevity – 12 weeks once opened.
    – Each trap comes in its own foil packaging so they will have good shelf life

    Cons:
    – I’ve not caught a moth yet, however it is mid November and I’ve not seen a moth since using the trap

I hope you find this review helpful

ideal to stop the pests from eating my Cotton traders rugby shirts, only had one infestation ever, they got my woollen carpet under the telephone table.

Used moth protection ever since and no issues, these are ideal to protect the wardrobes and stop the munchers in their tracks.

Milder UK winters means more moths. Protect your expensive clothe, carpets and bedding now!

Good product which works well. I have always used MothOut which comes in a 5 or 10 pack, MothOut and PestCatchers look like the same foil package and the product when in use also look the same. However, MothOut is better value as you do get some extra items. It has removable plastic hook’s which are more convenient when not deploying on a hanging rail, comes with a very useful bag of lavender for your drawer, cute as well. So from a value perspective I think it much better.

So many people I know had troubles with moths recently, holes in clothes, horrific tales of moving a sofa and finding a huge bare patch of carpet infested with moth larvae (all the carpets in the house had to come up), and I’ve also had the shock of finding silk, wool and cashmere garments in tatters. The moths are devouring the keratin and moisture these fabrics hold. I’ve now got lavender everywhere and cedar soaked in oils, but the best way to actually check if you have moths is a pheromone trap for the adults – even though it is actually the hatching larvae that do the damage -adult moths do not eat and have a very short lifespan. The pheromone trap will alert you to the presence of moths – and remove the males from the breeding cycle!
The little pests are extremely persistent and our warming climate and central heating contributes to the problem.
There are 6 traps in the box, individually sealed in a kind of aluminium foil. They take one to two weeks for maximum performance and need to be replaced every 12 weeks, I like the fact you can write the date on the trap. Unfold each into a strip, peel off the protective backing (that instruction should be made clearer), and form into a triangular shape with a hook a the top – this is ideal as it can either be stood up or hung up. I also really like the fact the outside of the trap is what might touch your clothes, not the sticky part.

The traps don’t smell of anything and aren’t toxic, I avoided contact with the sticky surface and washed my hands after setting them up.

It’s good to know three different kinds of moth are targeted, though which ones are not specified. And also that the traps, while still sealed in their protective cover, will last for 3 years.

Easy to assemble, simply peel off the long sticky strip fold into the triangle then hang or place wherever you want it. You could set all six up under five minutes.
There is an area underneath where you can write the date and it recommends that you change them every three months.
I can’t say how well they work as I have only just set them up. Hopefully they will be good.
Each one is individually sealed, so if you’re not using them all at once you can keep them for later.

These self-assembly moth traps come individually flat packed in foil wrapping: opening the foil packet was the hardest bit of assembling these traps!

Once opened it was quite intuitive of how to assemble them, though if unsure the instructions are printed on the box.

When assembled they then hang from the clothes rail in one’s wardrobe. The hook is made of the card so will easily tear if caught and they are quite bulky.

The glue of the trap is impregnated with a pheromone that it is claimed will attract moths, which then get stuck and die in the trap. Thus helping to prevent the life cycle and the destructive larvae stage when the damage to clothes and carpets occurs.

Overall they are a bit flimsy and not very good value for money, though if they catch moths they are cheaper than the damage done by the larvae.

Opening the foil packet is the hardest pa

his fly moth trap is superb, I’ve had a lot of issues in the past with Amazon and certain sellers but this particular team always fulfills my needs as requested. High respect from me. This item does exactly as said and is actually very useful. Living in a house and near grass and Green can be attractive to moths especially in cupboards with clothes in them and this item has recently been helping me alot. Thumbs up from me 🙂

Ordered this Moth trap as I was looking for a fast non-toxic solution for removing the influx of moths I was finding in my wardrobe and around the house. Glad to report that in the few hours I have installed this trap, it has already caught several moths and I am confident it will continue to do so. I was also sceptical about any smells this trap would emit as its in close proximity to my clothes (being that I set it in my wardrobe), but to my surprise, I found that there was no foul or unpleasant smell emitted from the traps.

    Cannot recommend enough!
