Mom, Dad had a blast building different marble runs for our 7 year old daughter and 6 year old Autistic son. The kids watched while playing with other toys. I eventually built this master piece into my daughters doll house. We have been loving it for days
These things are amazing, you can set up all kinds of designs with the ramps provided only sad i didnt buy more!!! you can toss marbles in these things and get hours of entertainment from them highly recommend i
These are great addition to magnet tile collection, but I will say our 3 yr old is prolly a little young, it is rather hard to push the pieces together, but that’s my only complaint.
Got this as a present for my nephew’s 5th birthday, and he loved it! Got a video from my SIL of her almost 2 year old also playing with it. 5YO loved that it is a combo of magnetic tiles + marble run, which are two separate toys he has and loves as well.
Only complaint is if the marble is dropped too hard, it flies off the track and onto the ground.
Easy to assemble, but they don’t stay connected. For a toddler they’re too rickety and delicate. As soon as they’re built they’re prone to disconnecting and collapsing. Still kids do love them.
During the first play, one of the tiles came apart, throwing small magnets all around. Fortunately I found them all before the toddler and dog found them.
I feel like I will break each piece when trying to taking them apart, and some connections are already too loose to stay out. However, I give it four stars because it’s the only product like this on the market. My son’s wanted a marble run and this one works so well with their existing magnetic tiles.
These toys are fun for the whole family to participate! This set is fun especially when you have the main base of MagnaTiles.
I did knock it by 1 star down to 4 stars because this is advertised for a 3yr old minimum but this set is more challenging for them to do physically without a parent helping to connect into place. Unlike magnatiles where they can really independently build their own creations.
My kids love it but I was surprised how hard the pieces are to put together. My 5 year old needs help assembling and even my engineer minded teen son had a hard time adjusting a portion without the rest collapsing. I thought the magnets would be stronger but I think most of this relies on it clicking together in place as opposed to the magnets.
I got these for someone as a Christmas gift. I have also used them. The large marbles are great. The colors are good. It provides lots of fun away from screens using your imagination. My only complaint is that they don’t stay together great and after you build this huge feature, one wrong move trying to get another price together and it all comes crashing down.
This is a great toy and our two year old son loves them. The reason I left 4 instead of 5 stars is because one of the pieces was defective which basically renders two of the pieces unusable. It’s not ideal to return the whole package with a 2 year old, although I’m sure the seller would have sent us a new box.
Magnetic tiles are a favorite in our 1 and 3 year old house so I thought this would be a fun expansion but in retrospect it may have been best to have a marble run be it’s own separate toy. Because of the nature of magnatiles it’s difficult to even finish building a big run before one of them has knocked a portion over – just something to think about if you also have littles. For kids big enough to do but themselves I’m sure it’s a great expansion to their set or even a standalone. Finding storage is tricky because of the odd shapes and you don’t want them left out – we’ve already cracked a couple by stepping on them when they didn’t get put up right away.
This is our third Picasso set, and they are great toys. I actually got it because there was a prime deal on this and it was too good to pass for such a versatile toy and to add to our collection. The marble run is super fun and the unique shapes definitely add an extra element of complexity and excitement.
Bought this for my 2.5 year old, he loves it. He brought the pamphlet to daycare “show and tell” to show the other kids what he plays with at home. Highly recommend this as an add on to the regular 100 piece set so that you can use the other magnetic tiles for strategic support if you’ve got an uncoordinated toddler who is prone to knocking things down, especially mid construction. With the other set, this stuff is very solid and survives most of his shenanigans.
I Bought as a gift for a 6 y/o a month ago its still in the box. Not sure what the issue is. I may have to go do a 1 on 1 with him and set this thing up so he can enjoy it.
It is fun and has lots of pieces, but it is tricky to click together for my 5 year old without help. The pieces snap in instead of just magnets. The ends are magnetic once snapped together. It did come in its box with just a sticker on it. This was surprising and could be a problem if given as a gift depending on shipping condition.
I bought four of this toy for my friend’s sons and my cousin’s sons. they are all similar age about 3-4 years old. All four boys loved this product – their parents were so happy for it. I bought two different sizes – 50 pieces and 70 pieces. I would recommend 70 pieces… ! Love this toy!!
My 6yr old grandson plays with this all the time. Definitely one of his favorite toys in his rotation of favorite toys.
My kids and their friends love playing with these. Just wish it was sturdier. It falls over easily.
Compatible with MagnaTiles. I bought this set for the grandkids (who live next door) to play with. They bring their friends so I needed enough tiles to go around. The shoots snap into the tiles and it’s a little bit harder for the three year old but he’s getting the hang of it. I LOVE these because they are so engaging for all the kids and not too hard to clean up and put away. Highly redommend!
My 8 year old loves this set! A great add on to another set he had before!
It’s a great set, but I wonder how long it will last. In order to take them apart you have to pull really hard and I can’t imagine that they would hold up that well after numerous uses. They would eventually get loose and you wouldn’t be able to connect them anymore. I would recommend this buy, but I would set the expectation that it probably won’t last you as long as your Picasso Mangatiles which are AWESOME!
We already have a bunch of magnatiles that the kids love to okay with. This was just a great addition to change things up a bit. A little challenging for a 5 year old, but with help they can do it.
I ordered this set for my 3 year old grandson. It is so much fun for us to build courses together!! He still needs my help, but is definitely improving in his analytic building skills!!! Great toy. I highly recommend.
My son and Daughter in law picked it out, and we are very happy with it.
My granddaughter loves it!
The whole family plays with these. The quality is great. I’m going to get some as a gif
Kids (and I) absolutely love our Picasso tiles. In my opinion the quality is significantly better than other similarly priced magnet tiles and only marginally less than the leading brand which costs literally twice as much… Believe me more tiles is better so getting two packs of these vs one of the leading brand is a winning move
Not as sturdy as expected as it buckles easily. However it offers loads of fun and creativity.
i love it and my daugther too. Great to increase the focus and imaginatio
My son loved it as his Christmas gift. This set works with some of his other magnets.
Bought this as a gift to my niece for Christmas. She LOVES her Picasso tiles, and this was a great hit! She has spent hours already trying to figure out different combinations for her marble run and it makes her think about continuity and how the marble will roll. What a hit! So glad she loves it! Her dad love it too, they play together all the time, WIN – WIN! Thank you!
It is not easy to assemble the marble run by small kids. My daughter 4 years old, loves to play with her Picasso tiles. She used to play with them all by herself, I thought this would be a good addition to her existing set. But all the cylindrical structures are not magnetic, they fit into the squares. It’s very difficult for kids to do this. Also, it’s hard to even change them once fit into squares. So the set is not as flexible as the original tiles. Once arranged kids will love playing with the marble run. So if you want to buy this set things to consider are:
-You need to help the kids arranging them.
-Only helpful if you have original set, as we cannot make different marble runs with this individual set.
-Not very flexible.
Hours of entertainment! Parents want to play as much as the children do – these are lots of fun. Relatively easy to assemble but the plastic clips that join the pieces can break if not used carefully. Works well with all of our other Picasso Tiles to build monumental magnet towers!
The bright colours and compatability with zmagnitiles was great. Too few stable supporting pieces for the number of runs.
There was a learning curve for getting them to stay together, but once I figured it out, these were sturdy. We bought for my 2 year old’s birthday, and it’s a little advanced for him to assemble it. He loves to tear my creations done though!
My kid loves this but it is not easy for those little hands to asemble. It is a great teaching tool if an adult is able to assemble it. Together we figure out where to put the pieces. You can use these with other similar tiles, which we do many tines
I absolutely love these! I have purchased two other sets as well. My boys are 2 and 4 and use these daily. Great for motor skills, creativity and imaginary play too! I love playing with them too. Definitely brings out the creative side and is truly fun. These also make great gifts!
My kids love these, and combine them with other Picasso tiles to make it even more fun. My niece loved them and wanted to take them home, so now I know what to get her for her birthday!
Great, but definitely not for younger kids. I’d say 8+ due to how the pieces snap together. Regular Picasso tiles are great for any age.
Purchased this as a birthday gift for my nephew (4 years old). He already had a set of magnetic tiles so this added to his collection with a new set of options to play with. We built several combinations and he loved it! He still builds with them regularly.
What a great addition to our magnetic tile collection. Picasso tiles are sturdy and connect nicely together. I purchased 2 sets and my kiddos (7 and 12) have spent hours constructing and playing.
At first I wasn’t a fan of these, but the more my family uses these, the more we love them! I got them for my 3 year old but I basically have to build the marble run for him and then he plays with it for at least an hour at a time! If you have babies or younger toddlers who like to knock things over, your older toddler may have to play with these during nap time, because they topple over with a gentle nudge. You will also need a set of regular Picasso tiles to give your marble run it’s structure and height. Great toy! I know my family will use this for years to come!
We bought this for our daughter in her 4th birthday to work with the rest of her magnetic times. I love that it comes with large marbles and will grow with her. Just like the original magnetic tiles, she will need a booster pack soon. Fantastic product, but I advice buying the marble run with more pieces to start with.
We love picasso tiles and our kids really enjoy with it.
I bought a regular marble run for my 6 year old and this marble run for my 5 year old. The regular magnetic tiles are a huge hit in my house so I thought this would be too. And it is a great toy but way more difficult to put together and play with than the regular marble run. My 5 year old needs help to set it up and it does collapse easily. I have used our regular magnetic tiles to make it sturdier. Overall it’s a good addition to our set and I’m sure will be played with plenty, just with adult support.
We have a different brand as our base set of magnet tiles. I generally try to keep to the same brand, but when I saw this marble run set, I knew we had to have it. My daughter received it as a gift for her birthday from the grandparents, but my niece had such a good time with them while she was here, that I ended up getting her the same set for her birthday the following month. If you have more than 1 kiddo, get the bigger set…or maybe just get the biggest set anyways, because you’re going to want to build with these too.
We had a few accidental knocking down incidents, if you put any pressure on the taller tower or tap it the wrong way, it will fall. A 2 year old doesn’t exactly understand not to lean on it when he is standing up, etc. so just something to be aware of.
Older kids will have fun building it too I’m sure, but I would say possibly 4 or older to do it independently.
The product is great my grandson loves it. Although I have to put it together for him, he has the regular set which is also great. This is difficult for him to snap the pieces together. I highly recommend as long as you have the time to put it together for a 3 year old.
After lots of marble runs, the kids also experimented using them as ramps, slides and tunnels for hot-wheel cars, barbie babies, finger puppets, etc. I can see these pieces becoming parts of every construction.
FYI, the 3yo couldn’t connect the pieces by herself, as she does with other tiles.
FYI, the description says wooden marbles and ours are plastic. They work fine so it made no difference to us. They are a lot larger than classic marbles, so they are not as easy to lose. I don’t know if they are a choking hazard for younger kids.
Gave this to my child on a rainy day and my child LOVES IT! So happy with it and my child plays with it for hours. Well made, good value and love that it encourages creativity, and learning about engineering, physics and more.
These are wonderful! I got the 100 piece box as well and it gives my kiddos plenty of options, by boys are 3 and a half and 5 and a half, and are able to click them in no prob! My 3 year old needs help here and there with some things but overall does it all on his own! I find them to be soo much fun, and sturdy if done correctly:)
Overall great product and the kids have a blast with it. We already had 2 sets of Picasso Magnet Tiles so they can (and do) really build some serious stuff now. I do wish it had a few more pieces, especially the downward ramps. The marbles need to maintain their speed or they easily get stuck on curves, but with only two downward ramps the design options are a little limited. And we’ve had a couple of the prongs break off that hold the ramps and tubes into the magnetic squares. They still work for now as there are 2 prongs in each tube, but since it’s primarily designed for younger kids and adolescents, hard to imagine it wasn’t a foreseeable problem.
This was a great addition to the magnetic tiles we already had and the kids play with these hard and they hold up great. I have two boys and they are rough on stuff and the magnets are no worse for the wear from it. I would recommend these to anyone who has children that love to make things and you want to encourage their imagination.
The kids got some water beads for Christmas along side of these tubes and we hydrated them the other day and I decided to set up a marble set with them just to see how it went. Although it was hard to build because the tiles were wet so more slippery and less stable, it was over all a success. The water beads don’t go down at smoothly but they do go down to a certain extent and the kids love putting the squishy water beads through the marble run. I’m sure you can get them all sorts of places but we got our water beads from amazon and they came in a pack of over twenty thousand which I accidentally rehydrated the whole lot and we had tons more than we needed. We filled a whole bin with them and built a magnet set right in it. It gets messy but it’s still fun!
Summary: Amazing product, the tubes add extra support to your magnetic tiles by snapping into place, the kids love it, the marble runs are a little tedious to build for little hands but with assistance from an adult this can be a fun activity for you and your kids to enjoy as it is for us, I would recommend getting at least two marble run sets and a large tile set to really be able to build freely.
For reference, what you see pictured is a tower we made using pieces from the following sets
74 piece magna tiles
100 piece Picasso tiles
2 Picasso tile marble run sets
80 piece Picasso race car track set
And we had more tiles to to make it bigger if we wanted..
Comparison.. We own Picasso and magnatiles and both are very similar in quality. The Picasso tiles are cheaper and
I believe they are cheaper because they don’t use rivets and they have less support in between the layers. I have yet to see any issues but I would think that because of this the magnatiles are probably more durable. I guess time will tell. Considering the Picasso tiles are almost half the price, I’d recommend Picasso unless you have serious durability concerns.
As for the marble run, it’s literally incredible. An amazing addition that is compatible with both magnatiles and Picasso and probably others I would imagine. We have a lot of fun building huge marble run creations as tall as me using our multiple sets of tiles and also two sets of the marble run.
I would definitely recommend at least two marble run sets. I actually want to get a couple more because we tend to run out of the turn pieces quicker than I’d like. (By the way the turn pieces can be doubled up to act as down/up ramps if you turn the the doubles turn piece “tunnels” to be vertical).
Also when you add the marble run tubes to your tiles, they snap into place, without magnetic force, which is actually super awesome because it adds an extra amount of sturdiness to your creation when you have a marble run going through it. In fact if your kids don’t care for marble runs this is still a cool set because you could use these pieces to strengthen up your towers and creations.
The pieces that have to be snapped together are sometimes a little difficult to complete for little hands but with practice my 5 year old was able to do it ok. Sometimes it requires a really both gentle and forceful touch to get them into place without knocking over your tower but that’s where the adult comes into place. I don’t think this would be something anyone younger than five could completely independently but after built they surely could play with it.
It comes with plenty of balls to run through, but yes normal marbles will work on it too for the most part, although marbles are more like to jump off after a steep decline and a turn (can be fixed by doubling up the turn pieces to create a turn tunnel of course).
We also got a marble run that is compatible with duplos (also from amazon, to find just search duplo marble run) which is way cool but this is even better because The long pieces can be doubled up and placed vertically to make your marble run enormous unlike the DUPLO style marble run. But also the duplo style plastic “marbles” will fit in this magnet marble run too. Was thinking about creating a duplo marble run that runs right into this one! The possibilities are almost limitless.
The kids love building and running marbles through it.. but if you have young ones that like to destroy, despite the added support of the marble run tubes snapped into place, the set can be completely demolished in a matter of seconds with a not very careful (or somewhat rambunctious) toddler :).
Over all highly recommend, it was an immediate hit with the kids for Christmas and I have no doubt that this set will provide fun for years to come.
We really enjoy this marble roll…the only reason I gave it four stars is that the pieces are not inclined enough to make the ball roll fast enough to go they the entire maze. Great for kids 4+
We purchased the standard set of Picasso Tiles for our grandson for his 3rd birthday and he played and built all kinds of structures and never seemed to get bored with them. For his 4th birthday we gave him the 70 piece Marble Run Race Track Magnetic Tiles. They can be used with the original set and are a great hit!! So many creative ways to build and use his imagination!! The magnetic feature is wonderful, even our 18 month old granddaughter builds with them. They are will made and durable, too!
