After my Corsair mouse broke shortly after the warranty expired, I wanted to try something new that wasn’t Razer and came across Pulsar. I’m extremely happy with the quality and feel of this mouse. It’s a pretty minimal mouse but I enjoy the simplicity after my previous one.
Pros:
Solid build quality
Great clicks and side buttons
Super lightweight
USB-C
Great cable
Cons:
Underwhelming scroll feedback
The software can show inaccurate battery percentage
Overall a great wireless lightweight mouse.
This mouse is essentially the only small ergonomic wireless high performance gaming mouse on the market, despite its QC issues I have to recommend this mouse until other options become available.
Pulsar Gaming Gears Xlite V2 is an incredible ergonomic mouse. The gaming mice world is filled with ambidextrous mice, to cater to both left and right-hand users. Pulsar found an opening to create a light, well-built, top-spec mouse for the few.
At 59 grams, sporting a state-of-the-art sensor and a fantastic paint finish, this is a very attractive mouse for any ergonomic user. It came well packaged, with a braided USB-C cable so it will last, and they even color-matched the cable, USB adapter, and USB receiver. For the price especially, Pulsar went above and beyond by making a quality mouse, with a thoughtful unboxing experience.
The only reason I’m giving this a four-star is that it might not appeal to all grip types, and it certainly won’t be able to be used by left-handed users. Otherwise, this is a great buy if you’re in the market specifically for a lightweight ergo shape without a Logitech price premium.
Muy contento primero por la fecha el cual me llego el envi, antes de la fecha estipulada muy rpido hasta Medelln. El producto es excelente para mi mano que es grande, su sensor 10/10, la batera me dura 1 semana tiempo suficiente.
My initial thoughts during the first 5 minutes of handling this mouse was that it wasn’t as comfortable as I thought it would be. After an hour of playing borderlands I realised that my initial opinion was definitely wrong. It’s very comfortable to use, side buttons are easy to access and buttons all have a good tactile feel to them. For the price it’s definitely worth it in my opinion.
UPDATE: Made another path with dremel now its 50,50gr. I still can see how to lower it more. Mb 48gr will be my goal!
With SuperGlide skates it 52,30gr. Dont like superglide tho
Great mouse I was looking for. Unfortunately I have big palm and can’t master claw holding habit. So this mouse was in my hope great replacement for superlight g pro.
To let you know: mini version is smaller then superlight and standard versions matches it.
Had to do some weight reduction on it to achieve weight in advertising. This is first try I’ll see if I may make it even lighter.
Again: great mouse. I have problem been too accurate, and this why 4 stars. Took me solid 4 hours with dremel to make it 55gr.
P.S. I had to buy bloody dremel!!!
I finally bit the bullet and bought the Xlite V2 Wireless and so far I haven’t been disappointed. I have been going back and forth with making the purchase since it isn’t a very popular name. My everyday mouse has always been a Logitech but from seeing pretty good reviews online I wanted to try a super light mouse. The only complaints I have would be no DPI button on the mouse and with only playing FPS games I like to have the “sniper” button on the left side forward of the side buttons. Not a deal breaker though as I just moved the keybind to something else. The ultra light weight is really nice and the materials don’t feel cheap and thin. Overall I am really happy with the purchase however I did also buy the Superglide skates which are way too smooth for my game style (zero feedback/feel of the mouse pad).
I have used 50+ MICE since 1999 Starting with a ball mouse…. MS 1.1, 3.0, MX500, 510, 518, the list goes on. If you like Ergo this is as good as it gets currently IMO The best I have EVER used, no flaws.
This mouse is easily the best mouse I’ve used as far as ergonomics, weight, tracking, and overall feel. My aim stats in games have risen since using this mouse.
As far as any negatives there are a couple. The battery does seem to get me about 2 to 3 days of use generally. This isn’t really that bad but the software doesn’t accurately track the battery life. After a full charge it’ll show 100% battery for quite a while. I’ve never seen the battery level say anything under 80% until it’s dead. I’ve noticed that in order to get the most up to date info on the battery level, you have to return to the main screen of the software and click the picture of the mouse to get the battery level to update. The software doesn’t seem to have an option to show the battery level in your Taskbar or any options to notify you of the battery dying until its already dead. These things are kinda annoying but the more simple way of dealing with it, for me, is to just simply plug it in after 2 days have passed and just let it charge. There could be a software update or firmware update that might help in the future. Still, a great mouse overall.
Switched some glass feet onto it and never looked back. The mini is good for a palm/claw hybrid if you’re happy with fingers overhanging slightly. It’s great.
The only thing is that the battery doesn’t last as long as most “premium” mice, but you’re paying half of the price so this isn’t a real complaint.
Cant wait for the X2 wireless.
Took me a while but eventually fell in love with this mouse, even as a fingertip / claw user it’s fantastic, great clicks, amazing sensor, perfectly balanced and nice and ligh
Actually blown away. I try out new mice often and have a small collection: roccat burst pro, g wolves hati s, roccat kone pure ultra, cm mm711, razer viper mini. All these mice work pretty well for me with my hand size of 16.5cm length, 9.8 cm width (including thumb). My main before this mouse was the hati-s but I’ve gone through 3 of their mice in a year and I refuse to keep buying more of their garbage quality mice, but it is one of my favorite shapes ever. From there I went on to main the roccat kone pure ultra which is fine but I always felt my aim just wasn’t as good with it.
Now onto picking up the pulsar xlite v2 mini, I was a bit worried because I have never resonated with ergonomic mice and I find the right downward slope annoying…and I still find it annoying with this mouse, however, I cannot deny that my aim is INSANE with this mouse. In overwatch my tracer game has probably gone up a full ranked tier, I am tracking and flicking fast and accurate af. Even though this mouse is 5g heavier than the hati-s, it FEELS lighter because the weight distribution is god tier. My shots are faster and more accurate with this mouse than anything I’ve tried before.
As for the right slope, I believe it’s just going to take some getting used to and it will be worth it for how much it’s improved my aim. Build quality is superb for the most part. The side buttons feel a little bit more on the flimsy side but they’re not bad…definitely don’t feel as bad as the hati-s side buttons that cave in in 3 months. They very well could hold up strong over time but if anything were to go wrong with the mouse overtime my guess would be the side buttons, so I will update my review if that ever happens. Clicks feels excellent, scroll wheel is one of the best I’ve ever felt.
My only complaint is the mouse is a bit on the slippery side. Not at all a dealbreaker, as I’ve said my aim is already god tier as is with no grips, but I will definitely be getting some grips for this mouse. Will definitely be looking into other pulsar products from here on out. What a fantastic mouse 🙂
Good primary clicks, slightly stiff but still crispy. Great side buttons and scroll wheel. Cable etc very nice. Very good for the price.
I’ve been gaming on PC since circa 2009. I started with the Logitech G500 back then. I’ve gone through a million and a half mice since then— in the quest to find the one that suits me best.
So far, this one is it. I’ve been using the G Pro X Superlight for about a year. I loved it so much that I purchased two, just in case my first one ever malfunctioned. I did not see myself EVER switching to anything else.
And then my buddy told me about this thing. I had never heard of Pulsar. I initially wrote it off. How could it be better than Logitech? But if I could get it from Amazon, well— it’s pretty much a no-risk buy. So I pulled the trigger and mannnnnn, am I glad I did.
From the first moment, I was struck by how accurate this mouse is. It’s dead precise. If the Superlight is a knife, then this is a scalpel. Just absolutely effortless to predict, effortless to snap between targets without so much as a pixel of overshoot. I’ve never been more confident in a mouse.
I recently replaced the feet with Tiger Ice and placed the Pulsar-branded thin grips on the sides and main buttons and now I’m even more blown away by how just incredibly lethal this thing can be.
I don’t know what to point to— the shape, the weight, the switches, the snappy latency— I don’t know. I just know that it feels fantastic to use and more natural than any other mouse I have ever had.
As an experiment, I tried using the Superlight about one week after I started using the Xlite and the Superlight legitimately felt like I was holding a dumbbell. It felt heavy, cumbersome, unnatural. This is all subjective, of course, and depends on a number of things, not the least of which is hand size and grip style.
For reference: I have medium-large hands and use a semi-relaxed claw grip.
Kudos, Pulsar.
I am sad to say this shape didn’t work for me. However for you ergo lovers, this is a package I could not believe for the price. What a well done execution. Pulsar will be going far if they keep it up!!! If you like the EC2 and want a lighter wireless version, just buy this.
I’ve found my new main! I was using the Logitech GPX Superlight for around 9 months, which is still a top tier mouse, yet the shape just wasn’t ever that comfortable for me, unfortunately.
Then I found the Xlite V2 Mini Wireless. As a relaxed claw grip player with 18x10cm hands this mouse fits my hand like a glove – super comfortable. Nice matte coating, only ~55g, tactile yet quiet switches and stock PTFE feet that are actually really nice – a rarity. The side buttons are very tactile also, virtually zero pre or post travel, but sound kind of hollow and cheap (and loud) compared to the main clicks – a VERY minor complaint but that’s really the only one I have.
If you need a small ergo wireless gaming mouse you should definitely consider this one.
