Uno scanner davvero incredibile. Il packaging fatto molto bene. La qualit dei materiali molto buona. Punto di forza la comunicazione da parte della ditta e la community di Facebook che aiuta a risolvere alcuni problemi magari legati alla connessione con il dispositivo. I programmi per la scansione sono sia per Windows/OS/Android/Linux insomma tutti! E continuano ad essere periodicamente aggiornati.
La qualit delle scansioni molto buona la precisione dimensionale degli oggetti molto alta e permette di ottenere buoni risultati quasi identici alle dimensioni originarie degli oggetti. Ovviamente se parlate di “reverse engineering” dovete sapere quali sono i limiti di questo prodotto ed eventualmente puntare al pi “preciso” POP2 o ad altri scanner di fascia superiore (e costi differenti). Detto questo lo consiglio vivamente sia per hobbystica che per progetti di un livello semi-professionale.
Prodotto giunto in tempo ed imballato ottimamente, assistenza cordiale e molto disponibili risolvendo in maniera ottimale i problemi che avevo avuto inizialmente. Ora fa il suo lavoro e ne sono piacevolmente soddisfatto
This 3d scanner is awesome. There’s been a ton of projects I just haven’t bothered to take on because I didn’t want to model everything out from scratch. The app and interface for this scanner is incredibly easy to use. It gives you a pretty solid step by step to get yourself going with this scanner. I had my first scan done after about 15 mins of setup and software installs. Wish I would’ve taken the leap sooner. Love how you’re able to use your cellphone to scan on the go with the USB adapter included in the kit. Made scanning my car Venta super simple.

The software is very good and easy to use the handy scan works well I have found with experimenting with the set up of the scanner position, lighting etc you can achieve excellent results ,then using the handy studio you can do even more ( filling any holes ,smoothing etc ).I send my scans to cura (a free slicing program) and then to my 3D printer. Would also mention although I have had no problems the customer care would appear to be first rate. Would recommend this product.
I have 3D CADD and a 3D Printer but I needed a 3D Scanner to complete my capabilities.
I have followed the user and company listings on social media for about 30 days and decided to get a kit complete with turntable. It took about 1 month to get it and I was expecting a week or less coming from Amazon.
So here is where you find out about the product and the company support. I emailed Revopoint about the delivery and they quickly responded and informed me of the schedule and new date. My product was delivered on schedule as they stated.
Upon receipt of the product I couldn’t find the Tripod or Phone Holder. I emailed Revopoint about this and they quickly responded with action to make corrections. I also contacted Amazon but haven’t heard from them yet. After documenting the box content they offered me replacement parts or refund. I chose refund because it would be quicker. Amazon acknowledged a refund for the agreed amount the next day!
Now, for the 3D Scanner. I have the Revopoint POP 1 with 2+ firmware. I plugged in the cables according to the video and written instructions. I was scanning in 10 minutes. Did I read all the instructions, no. It is that easy to use. To scan quickly and cleanly, please read the Scanner and Software documentaion.
The documentation is in the form of video clips and written instructions with pictures. They are very nicely done and a great help in learning how to properly use the Scanner. I was able to cleanly and clearly reproduce the sculpture head included in about 15 minutes. The time was based on my lack of knowledge of scanner use not scanner speed.
To summarize my experience with the Revopoint Pop scanner and Company was fast, friendly, and produced results! The product is small, light weight, easy to use and generates great results. Can you scan and reverse engineer a product and start CNC cutting, no not with this one. Maybe POP 2?
I am very pleased with the product and the Company that markets it. I would do business with them again. I am very excited to do scans and learning how to use the scanner. I am so pleased to see quality documentation clearly explaining the use of the scanner. I have professionally done product development for over 45 years in Automotive, Mobile Power and High Pressure Hydraulics and have learned the value of quality Product, Great Documentation and Customer Service, this Company has it all.
For the scanner to work properly, you may need a USB3 powered hub, so after buying a new hub I tried to scan the “Small statue included” but could not get the programme to load! The tech services at Revpoint Facebook page were very helpful and after downloading a new driver, the scanner worked.
It is a good scanner for small cup size objects. it will work on the larger objects too but more likely to give better results on objects without many thin or deep cavities.
To get better results the scanned objuects needs to be scanned at 3 different positions, it will take around 20 to 30 minutes to scan. you need to be patient with the process.
But it is worth the wait as the dimentions are accurate on this budget price scanner.
You can ignore the review where the person says it’s unusable. 3d scanning requires time and patience with a learning curve regardless of the tech bring used. I got a decent result immediately with admittedly an easy to scan object but with a bit of effort it can get useable results on loads of things

However after speaking to their technical support (Ana, if you’re reading this, your awesome!) they explained it was requiring a firmware update. I’m now a proud Kickstarter patron for the next revision!
Reason for purchase:
Ever since we purchased our 3D printer, we have wanted to learn how to make our own custom files for printing. We had watched several YouTube videos and was searching for this type of portable 3D scanner.
What I received:
This kit arrives in a medium sized brown cardboard box and has is separated into 3 different sections, the turntable, the scanner, and additional accessories for learning and scanning.
The scanner white box has the manual with several QR codes for quick links to videos and the software I required for my windows mini pc and my iPhone XR iOS smartphone app. Included in this same box are two types of USB cables. Both of these cables have the USB 3.0 flat connector with screw plugs that fasten to the back of the scanner unit. This type of connector is what I used to see on portable hardrives during the past 5 years before type C connection.
The tripod resembles the ulanzi type of tripod with telescoping head from the handle which folds out to be a three leg tripod. A spring phone holder and 1/4 thread cold shoe mount is included to hold my iphone and then the scanner on top of the phone. I also purchased a square box ulanzi light to use with this setup to provide additional lighting to help achieve the Excellent rating when using the Handy Scan app or software.
The videos and forums on revopoint are a great resource and I will continue to practice scanner so I can recreate some of the items that I can not find on thingverse.
Device installed an connects predictably. the kit i got came with a fixed speed pedestal. but despite being connected to very powerful system, the rate of spin was too fast for the tracking to keep up. I had the best luck on a lazy susan moved very slowly and carefully. generally the accuracy is quite good if you can keep the tracking working correctly. look forward to trying out new software which is supposed to make stitching multiple setups into a single scan. Hopeful… beginners to scanning may find the system a bit challenging to use, but you have to keep at it and experiment.
At first I was skeptical of whether to buy it or not, but I must say I made the right choice and bought this 3D scanner. I’m currently using it for a few of my projects and so far it works perfectly fine. It gets the job done.Good value for money.

I am very much enjoying using the mobile app for this scanner and have gotten good results as you can see in the pictures. To be able to reverse engineer with such a cheap scanner is incredible!
The accuracy on these parts I have created literally just fit, I haven’t checked any measurements with calipers and very pleased to find that the parts fit. I used to print multiple prototypes before I’d be happy with the fitment on some parts. Both of these designs were the first prototypes printed. Massive time saver
There are alot of people who struggle with these budget scanners but with patience and perseverance you will get good results,
Revopoint on Facebook have been very helpful with any issues that you may have and is a good source for learning more about this product. The software is regularly updated with new features and I have heard they are working on the firmware to get even better results from the scanner.

Having had a very bad experience with the first scanner – cable faults and constant connection issues – the company generously reached out, offered support and the chance to try again. The second time around it IS a much better experience. Connected through usb-c the scans are good on a subject around 6 to 8 inches in diameter. It is best if the object is in white or grey as this is mapped far more effectively than a dark or coloured item. Pausing the scan and re-positioning for complete coverage syncs up the scanned subject efficiently about seventy percent of the time. I would expect the scan alignment issues to get better IF the software is updated along with the firmware regularly. The scanner does connect through a mobile phone but as our use is in a workshop environment with a nearby dedicated pc this wasn’t tested. It should be noted that we didn’t test on our Macs as this only uses the WiFi connection method at the moment and for a lot of our quick scanning the workflow is easier on a usb cable connection. The detail quality of scans is more than acceptable at this price point but do bear in mind you won’t be scanning table top gaming miniatures or small models with this! It is for larger, more easily defined subjects. Company support is very good, improving all the time, and they do stand by their product. Looking forward to seeing what updates and improvements they make to the software as there is obviously a lot of potential with the hardware. At this price point there is probably nothing better. Recommended.
Finally a professional scanner supported on Macintosh. I managed to test it and it’s certainly a descent product. The hardware is awesome accompanied with promising software. Though texture may not beat Artec MH/EVA, which I paid more than 10k previously, geometry it produced is marvelous at such a low cost. This product is absolutely a game changer for people looking for economic solution that can conveniently produce descent result. Great fan of Revopoint, love it!
Finally a professional scanner supported on Macintosh. I managed to test it and it's certainly a descent product. The hardware is awesome accompanied with promising software.
