Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWell, finding a truly rugged outdoor power bank can be a tricky task, especially if it going to be taken out canoeing, sailing and horse back camping and other wild activities where it will be under a lot of use and demand in all weathers… and I am glad to say that this Powerful Orange Box does the trick nicely. There is a thick rubber bumper edge all around the unit, which helps keep drop / shock damage down and there is a handy LED light on the back of the unit, which is a nice addition.

If you are looking for something that can truly withstand outdoor life, this is the unit for you.

This is a lovely compact and punchy unit. It comes in a nice presentation box. It charges fairly quickly and the built in lantern makes it perfect for camping and hiking. I would have to question it’s waterproofness claims. Perhaps at first the rubber plugs might hold but long term I think while it may be better than some in the damp I am not thinking I’d expect to fish it out of a lake and charge a phone! It has surprisingly high capacity given it’s size. I am very pleased with it.

The battery bank is very rugged and versatile the build quality far better than I expected the USB A and C ports are protected by a rubber seal and it charges my phone pretty fast it seemed as fast as the wall charger I use which is very impressive. The built in light is extremely bright and very useful for example I had to go into the attic and normally I would use a wall powered light but this power bank is far more convenient, as per its marketing the powerbank is very ideal for camping as you could just use it as a light source and it would last all night easily.

Overall I am very impressed with the product and I am glad to recommend it.

It’s quite expensive but it puts out a good performance and has a unique extra of having a light if you are out camping and you need to charge your phone in the dark, so great if you need it in this situation.
Charges devices at a decent speed.
Takes a few hours to charge before use on other devices.
    Has three light settings.
Is designed for camping, so is a rugged design and supposedly waterproof.
It is a little expensive but a unique device with an added lighting design, so great if you are caught short with devices when camping at night.

Amazing rugged power brick. Feels like it could survive being stepped on by an elephant! Charges well, holds a pretty good amount of charge. No downsides. 5 stars.

This robust “brick”, 10,050 mAh power bank has a rugged polymer case with a “rubber” edging. On one corner there is a hanging eye for the supplied carabiner, by which it can be hung in a tent or on a belt or backpack.

On one edge there is a “flap” that conceals two output USB ports, a USB-A, and a USB-C which doubles as the input port for the charging cable. No charger is provided, but any USB power source can be used.
The whole of one face has a diffused cover, behind which are sixteen LED bulbs. These can be set to high or low intensity or to flashing mode for emergencies.
I’m sure it will hold up to a fair amount of outdoor misuse but, although it’s a very useful device, the price seems way over the top.

I use it to charge my phone and the night light to help me sleep at night, which works for both.
It’s light, bright, and compact. Perfect for camping, home, garden and more…
Lights can be handy when in a tent. When turned on, the light is bright enough to illuminate an entire tent. If outside the tent, this light is equally suitable for lighting outside tents, walkways, cooking areas, etc.
I started charging when the battery was down to a cell, it took almost 200 minutes to fully charge, and I was happy with how quickly it charged.
There is a carabiner inside the pack to secure it to the pack.
Looking forward to using it while camping, good quality but a bit pricey. I reserve one star.

    Bright and Good Quality

This certainly lives up to it’s name, it’s quick to charge up and powers a wide range of devices, I did submerge this in water to test the ip67 rating and it’s great so even with water sports this will go with you no problem, it has both USB C and USB A and is also a handy camping light, it gets my recommendation, it’s expensive but you can see why by how well this is built it is made for a tough life.

This RUGD powerbank is intended for outdoor hiking or camping situations and isn’t the usual black smartphone style shape. The carabiner allows you to fasten it to a belt or rucksack. A useful battery pack for phones or any USB charged device. The rear face is a light that has different brightness and flashing settings. Around the edge is thick rubber that should protect it against knocks. A USB-A to USB-C charging cable is included but any standard cable will work with it. There is a series of 4 lights on the orange face that give you the battery level.

I tested the the charging speed against my fast charger and powerbank on my Galaxy Samsung and it was faster, although only by a few minutes on my powerbank. It does look a little expensive at first glance.

Overall, this is a useful piece of kit to have with you on a ramble or hiking. Recommended!

    Rugged Power Bank!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a ‘ruggedised’ lithium ion battery with a protective polymer/silicon casing and a diffused multi-led light covering the whole of one side.
The construction is high quality and the supplied carabiner allows this to hang off a bag or belt etc; should that prove useful in some way.
The light has 3 brightness levels and an emergency flashing mode: when fully charged I expect the light will run for many hours.
The device has both USB-A and USB-C connectors which adds to its usefulness.
Here’s a thought though: I recently bought a similar power brick, the same charge capacity with the same connectors and a solid, pocketable casing for 14.99. At the time of this review this item is 69.99 so thats an extra 55 for an led light and a slightly more solid casing. Your choice.
