Ruveno Smart Lock, Fingerprint Door Lock, Smart Door Lock

I have used this lock for over a month. Just check the features they are endless. I use it on the outside cupboard to access shoes and clothes. I would not put it as a main lock on the entry door due to its not robustness. If you struggle with fingerprinting register your print twice or more and the problem disappears.

Easy to install and quick reaction, done some test and it works straight out of the box.

I had help from a builder friend to install this door handle on my home office door. WE drilled the correct holes and put it together as per the printed instructions that came with the handle, but it wouldn’t work. So after about five additional attempts to dismantle and put it back together. We had a quick look on the Amazon item listing to see that a piece of vital information was missing from the documentation (lining up the arrows on the door rod!). Once we did this, the handle was working perfectly.

The Android app is straightforward enough and allows me to register my fingerprint – fingerprints are temperamental at times. For example, a single scan of your thumb will take 5-10 attempts of unlocking the door. However, if you register the same thumb multiple times (e.g. I have four registrations of my right thumb), you can generally unlock the door the first time – unless it’s cold or your thumb is sweaty or just washed your hands. The handle works great at keeping my children out of my work area.

I cannot comment on the battery life as yet as I have only been using it a few months, and so far, no issues with the battery.

Got this for my front door, as my front door white colour decided to buy white model instead of black. Both could be fine however personally think white suits it the best.
It require 8 pieces of aaa batteries to operate it. Couple thinks to keep in mind before getting one, it need to be in wifi rent to fully enjoy all features. Also will suit to doors which is between 35-60mm thickness , if wider or slimmer then it will not sit properly.
Due to cable connection I needed to drill second hole on door, which I wasn’t quite confident so asked my brother sort it as I have extra metal internal support in doors so not easy to make extra holes.
Teased and prepared the application , it’s great, I also got wifi extender to no issue with internet coverage.
Hope this will be helpful to decide if it’s suitable for personal needs or not.

Fitted this lock to a home office, overall very pleased with it the only downside is the fingerprint option is not that reliable and the keypad isn’t illuminated until you touch the buttons, otherwise difficult to fault. The design is modern and sleek and fitting was relatively easy although still took an afternoon to get everything fitted and working. Good value for money compared to some of the other options.
