So easy to install. Works great. The alarm is adequately loud. Love that I can add to the system. Would definitely recommend.

We read some other reviews and were unsure as to how good this was but we found it very easy to setup (other than a few sticky pads which weren’t very sticky!) and so far it has worked well. We were extremely pleased that it was compatible with the Smart Life app as we use this for all our other smart devices. The power lead for the main controller could be longer but personally wasn’t an issue for us. Overall a decent DIY home alarm kit for a reasonable price with a loud siren.

This is just what I needed for my outbuilding to keep it secure when I’m in the house. It comes with 4 window or door sensors, we only needed 3 so it more than covers what we require.

The unit I have mounted next to the door so it is easy to deactivate and it is a touch display. You can adjust sensitivity of the motion detection, we have it on the highest as we don’t have pets that could trigger it, if we’re not in there the only thing that would activate it would be an intruder. You can choose the alarm sound too and it connects to t he app which then notifies you on your phone.

A very useful system and is just what we needed to make us feel more secure. Recommended.

I have to admit that I didn’t have much faith in myself in being able to install this alarm and put it off for a while before finally deciding that I just needed to try doing it and hope for the best. Thankfully, the best happened as this alarm is surprisingly easy to install. Some of the sticky pads on the sensors aren’t really sticky enough so you need to have an alternative, I used 3M sticky pads but you could also glue them, or even use sticky back plastic. Anyway, the whole thing was pretty simple and the app works well and is easy to use. The alarm is LOUD when it goes off and we haven’t had any false alarms (I intentionally set it off to check it). I’m really pleased with this and would happily recommend it.

Great item for the price. So easy to set up and install. Great for detection. Sticky pads that stick the door sensors aren’t that sticky so have some glue handy.

Awesome indoor security system. I’m using this for a few months to secure my home and these are working great. It is very easy to install and set up with wifi and very easy to control with the app remotely. It is working great with Alexa. The security panel has a 4.3″ IPS touch screen and a high-speed smart chip which are great for fast operations. We can receive notifications instantly on our phones. Motion sensors and entry sensors cover a wide angle of 110degrees. It provides great security for my home surroundings. Overall, great quality security cameras at an awesome price. Highly recommended.

As a renter, the idea that a wired security system required so much just to get started deterred me from having a system for a long time. And then wireless systems because mainstream, the idea that some were attached to contracts longer than I was willing to commit to deterred me. This system eliminates all of those worries. The system belongs to me solely, and the installation was simple. It has excellent motion detection, and provides everything I needed in a system. It is a stellar value for the money simply because it only requires payment one time. It looks professional and gets the job done. Well worth it.

Very good Staniot Home Alarm System. It looked so smart when I took it out of the box. It was easy to set up. Took no time at all. The internal battery itself does not last very long. A couple hours max. So I keep it plugged in which is no issue for me. The screen is nice and small and compact. It was easy to connect to the app and set it up that way. Loads of good features and pieces. Can be stuck via the sticky pads but can also be drilled in.

Product has very decent quality , well made and Stylish design. Compact, lightweight and decent size, doesn’t take up too much space. Touch screen is amazingly clear and handy.

The instructions for this product are very clear. It was very easy to diy install and operate. once set up the system works very well, although I did have some problem getting it set up on my mobile phone but this would probably not apply to everyone. Product Can also be set up to work with other smart devices in the house via Alexa which is fantastic.

I just literally installed it a few hours before we went on holiday, switched it on and off we went. Great peace of mind while we were away.

Regularly checks itself and easy to control remotely from any distance via the Mobile App. Very loud siren in this pack too. As we dont use the back door we just leave it on all the time. Have slept much better since I had it.

Considering the current market, I think this product is absolutely brilliant , the customisation and automation settings of this device certainly give me a sense of security when I’m away from the property. So I think this system is Reasonably priced, highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIf you’re looking for a modern, versatile, easy to install security system for your home which is widely compatible with other third-party accessories, this set is for you. Staniot Home Alarm System Kit comes with a 4.3inch display unit, one motion sensor, four door/window sensors, two remote-control key fob, and a wires siren
The Display unit is very stylish, and it has a high-resolution display. The unit is features with a built-in battery, but I would recommend keeping plugged in as the battery only enough for power the system for a couple of hours. Works as a smart device, connects to your home network via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (No 5Ghz supported). The menu of the unit is super easy to use and very intuitive. It reminds me the windows phone’s menus with the tiles. The screen is touch sensitive and it is super responsive, and super quick. The unit can be mounted on the wall with screws or with a double-sided sticker and I would recommend keeping is somewhere close to the main entrance so you can turn of the system very quick you’ve arrived home. It comes with two remote controls, small enough to keep it on your keyring. You can turn the system on and off or there is also an SOS button on it which can be used in instant danger.
This set comes with a motion sensor and four entry sensors which can be applied on windows or doors as well. All these accessories are communicating with the display unit. On top of the sensors which comes with in, other third-party accessories can be added to the system, which can be great for a huge house or for a commercial building. I have not tested this yet.
To get out the most of this security system smart Life App needed to be downloaded, available for both Apple and Android.
The App is pretty easy to use, very intuitive and comes with handful of small extra great features like including the option to play one of a variety of chimes when doors are opened or motion is detected, and the abilities to choose between the five sensitivity levels on the motion sensor.
All in all, it works great, the only reason this did not get 5 stars is due to a delayed alert and the motion sensor is a little slow to detect at night. Also, if the system can allow more than one family member to login the app and receive the notification, it will be perfect. Other than these small issues, it’s more than perfect, I like that it’s not a vires system and I can move the sensors on any other doors or windows.

This security system is relatively simple to set up and it has worked fine so far. When we set it up and as we have been using it we can tell that this is not the most expensive security system. The previous security system we used was more expensive and it did have more features and just felt more robust. However, it was a lot more expensive than this system which is currently priced at 139.99. I think it would work well for some properties. If you have a big detached house with multiple entrances or live in a high-crime area I think you would be better off investing in a better system. However, if you live in a small property I think this security system would be fine.

This is a very smart looking device and is relatively easy to set up. I had a couple of hiccups but they were more down to my misunderstanding of instructions rather than anything being wrong with the kit. We have 3 cats so I didn’t want to set up the motion detector, but the window and door sensors work well. It’s nice to have the sense of security this set up gives me especially when I have to go out. Of course, even when alerted that we have an intruder I am sure they would be done and gone by the time the authorities arrived! But at least I know the burglars would get a scare! This is a great way to secure your home relatively cheaply and still be able to appease your home insurance company that you have taken measures to keep your home secure.

Having used this now for 3 weeks I have to say that so far I’m pretty pleased with the unit as a start up system and something I intend to use in our new home for the next 6-12 months. The overall build quality is good, some areas like the screen definitely feel better quality than the keys or sensors but on the whole for the price listed I think it’s reasonable quality. The set up is easy but I have used Smart Life for other smart devices in the past so there wasn’t any learning curve for me.
The sensors and alerts do work very well (so far!) for the money and I haven’t had any issues with lack of motion detection which I did with another cheap device I tried in my previous home. Whether or not I replace it with something more substantial will depend on how well this holds up in the coming months, if all is well I may keep this as so far I think it reaches expectations in all aspects considering it’s much lower price tag. Any issues I will update my review.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s a great choice for apartments and rented homes. The items in the package are easier to install and the operating system is easy to follow just like a good old Nokia brick phone.
Nine of the items require drilling to the wall and all depend on double-sided tapes for the setup.
The alarm works quite nicely and is responsive to the fees.
In addition, there is an option to add on motion detectors and door sensors which are also available on Amazon if your household is larger to cover.
It works with Alexa and googles home through the smart life app and this works great.

Easy to set up, entry-level smart home security system.

This security system looks nice and sturdy.
The installation process was a hassle. It took me multiple attempts and a lot of headaches to finally install it.
Additionally, connecting with Bluetooth was another obstacle.
Referring to the directions is no use as I could hardly read the text.
    It is written so small.
The battery life is a disappointment.
The plus points are the design, the screen, the high resolution, etc.

I started out with a couple of the Geeni wireless cameras and have added on to my system. Light bulbs, switches, etc. I use the Geeni app instead of smart life and it works great. Geeni added the system no problem. The update makes the system so much better. Anyone having issues with the 2.4 ghz wifi just need to call their provider and have tech support walk them through enabling the 2.4 if it fails to connect. I have an older main router, twe deco mesh routers and also a 5g cellular router from Verizon. Have had no issues hooking up. My only issue so far is the design of the remote controls. There needs to be a raised edge around the buttons as it’s very easy to accidentally hit the sos button. There customer service is top notch and actually care about their customers. That is a breathe of fresh air. So many companies don’t care. Staniot direct responded almost immediately to me. I love this system. Super excited to see the new products they have in development.

Having used the Smart Life app for a few other devices in the past, I’ve noticed such devices have a few things in common. They have tended to be unknown-brand, generic alternatives to the major brand smart home devices, the ten-or-fifteen-quid equivalent to thirty-or-forty-quid ‘proper’ brands. This feels like the same budget logic on a slightly larger scale, in this case to a brand like Ring or Google Nest, and I’m not sure it brings as much peace of mind as a home security system really ought to.

First impressions start off well, with a shiny and thin glass panel that looks surprisingly smart and posh, and which is reasonably responsive, not top-end-smartphone performance but easy enough to use without getting frustrated at it. Other reviewers have reported problems getting the Smart Life app set up, but I already had Smart Life installed on my phone and getting it to communicate with the new device was as easy as it ought to have been, and worked as per the instructions.

The hardware side of things does feel a bit less posh though. The sensors do seem to work as intended, in a basic way, but many of the devices, especially the door sensors, feel a bit flimsy and on the small side. The lack of breadth on the door sensor has meant that I’ve had to quickly 3D print a little cuboid of PLA to stick to the door frame, so that when the door is closed, the door part and the frame part of the sensor actually line up and register. It all feels a bit awkward and slightly cheap, and the remote controls do end up feeling a bit more like toy keys than car keys (so much so that I had to verbally tell my kids never to touch them, just in case).

It’s in the details where confidence can ebb away. For it’s disappointing to see (again like other Smart Life devices) some awkward wording both on the device and in the manual that looks like it wasn’t run past a native English speaker before being published.

The whole set feels reasonably well made, yet if it asked whether I was confident about the security and stability of this set- both in terms of hardware and durability, and hackability, I wouldn’t say I was 100% convinced.

If you’ve just moved into a new place and you need a security system of some kind, and you’re on a budget (because you’ve moved just into a new place!), then this is an OK budget choice, though for the current asking price of one hundred and sixty two quid, I don’t think it’s super value. However if you’re in your long-term family home and want to invest in a security system that will last many years, and which is likely to maintain support throughout that time, then you might want to look at one of the brands names you’re more familiar with.

It’s not perfect but would probably scare a would-be burglar away if my 2 staffies didn’t. It’s a good price alarm and suit my needs. If you’re looking for something fancier keep searching, but I really recommend it, the most I like, that there is no monthly fees.
    Very good price, highly recommend.

Delivered in its own branded box

    Inside you get : –
One Security Panel, Four Entry Sensors , One SOS Button , Two Remote Controls , One Wired Siren,
One PIR Motion Sensor. A small instruction manual .

Everything contained in the kit look and feel well made . It at first appeared simple to install all however because this only works on a 2.4ghz wireless network I was unable to finish the installation .

I’m certain that this would work well connected properly .

    My conclusion

I’m a bit miffed that the majority of wi-fi routers are now 5.0ghz and tech companies continue to sell units that only operate on the 2.4 GHz . If you’re like me and don’t know how to set up wi-fi this way purchasing this could prove to be expensive . It’s also expensive for a home security unit at almost 170

for 7 yrs we have been using that “three-lettered” home security system you see advertised on tv and realized, there are newer options out there that meets our security needs for a more affordable cost. Staniot Home Security System is one that meets our needs. i found that installation based on the included manual takes some deciphering and some youtube search helped with the installation. i like that the touch screen control panel is small but concise with the essential access. this kit has enough door and window sensors for our application – only used for downstairs potential intruder entry points.
motion detection sometimes gets triggered erroneously. perhaps need to dial down the sensitivity. overall, still a good system to have and we can now forego with monthly dues. combined with separate wifi video cameras around the house, we feel this is a better system than what we used to have.

I started with smart outlets and light bulbs and they work fine, though I have replaced a couple of the ceiling fixtures (and smart bulbs) with smart LED light fixtures. I have smart ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room, I have a smart air purifier and smart humidifier and I have a smart front door lock. I wanted and needed a security system and found what I thought was the best for my needs with this smart system. It has some issues getting set up, but with patience I was able to get it up and running. The screen that is the heart of this system is excellent – I have to give them that. What’s a bother is the motion sensor – I have a 10 pound puppy. She can get it into her head to do zoomies in the house. I mean, she IS a pup with all that energy and the motion detector should ignore her but it doesn’t. I am unable to manually change it or make the sensor “learn” that my dog is zooming through the house and to ignore her. I will wait and see if the company makes upgrades to their app/system so that I am able to keep the sensor active. At the moment, I can’t and that defeats having a security system, doesn’t it? Certainly not going to get rid of my dog…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a nice security system. It includes the user interface unit, motion detector, 2 portable control devices, 4 detectors for windows/doors, and a siren device. Connection to wifi and setting up in the app was easy. The user manual is one sheet, front and back, which I feel is adequate, but could be more explanatory. Thankfully it’s pretty common sense set up once you start going through the process. All the included devices work well in initiating activation/deactivation. There is also an SOS button on the portable fobs that set off the alarm automatically. The siren is really loud! The motion detector is pretty sensitive and we decided to place it on a co ered outdoor porch instead of in the house since we have a lot of traffic going on inside. I really like that the device is Alexa compatible as well, as that’s convenient for hands-free activation/deactivation if needed. I plan on buying additional detectors for my other windows. I’ve also read the company is in the process of implementing additional devices, so I’m excited to try those as well. Definitely recommend this system!

Truth be told I was kind of expecting this to be somewhat of a challenge to install based on some of the other reviews but I found it to be quite straightforward and only took me about 30 minutes. I just didn’t have any issues at all it was quite impressed with the very clear and well illustrated instructions. Once installed I was able to pair with my Wi-Fi within just a couple minutes and found the overall set up process to be pretty straightforward. There were really just no challenges of any kind to report.

The navigation of the menu system is also pretty intuitive and straightforward and I feel very safe at night knowing that a system is monitoring my home without spending 10 times the price point for some comparable models. In addition it is great that there are no added fees or subscriptions needed which is a real bonus. I’m quite pleased with it think it’s a great value for the price point and highly recommend it. Five stars for me

This is a good system for us, as we were installing it in a newly constructed garage/workshop combination. We don’t have any animals in there moving around to trigger anything.

Installing this hoe security system was fairly easy! I was able to do so myself with little hassle. The instructions on installation and setup were fairly simple to follow and gave a step by step guide on how to do so. The back of the box has a QR code you can scan with your phone to download the app that is compatible with this device. The app is easy to navigate and finishes the setup process nicely. The LED screen is bright enough to see in the day time and can be seen easily in the dark as well. The screen is touch sensitive and is clear and easy to navigate through. Very happy with this system and it makes me feel very safe in my home! Highly recommend.
