OK, this solves the main problem: keeping me warm in a cold room. I get a nice snug feeling when zipped up inside this thing. It’s fine for sitting or lounging, but tricky to walk in and no use for any other activity.
There are some nice features, such as double-ended main zips that let you partly unzip from the waist up to reach your pockets. The removable boots are handy, and it’s good that they are interchangeable so you can’t get left and right mixed up. The stuff-sack is impressively small and it’s not too difficult to get the sleeping bag into it once you master the technique: roll up the bag into a long thin shape, stuff it into the sack with half hanging out, and then use your fist to stuff the rest in while you tighten the drawstring.
There are a couple of drawbacks, neither of them critical.
The legs are short. I’m only 5’7″ with 29″ inside leg but I still don’t have full freedom of movement in this bag (size M) with its boots on. With the boots removed this shouldn’t be a problem.
When new, the bag emitted a strong plastic smell that made my eyes water. The smell seems to come from the lining. I turned the bag inside out and hung it up for a few days, and that reduced the fumes to a bearable level.
Bought a medium as 5ft 7 a good fit. The zip off feet are great the zip open hands could do with a popper or fastener to keep back when you want to read or drink a cuppa. Great suit for popping on whilst sedentary in the house sat watching telly or at the computer to save on heating .
Very warm, options to remove feet and hand coverings are useful.
I bought it so I can sit at my computer working from home ( hopefully no one come to the door!) I tried it on when it arrived but not long after had to take it off since I was getting too hot, (but that is not in the winter). I am 5’8″ and my legs are quite long, but because someone else had said the medium was long enough, and there was only a medium in stock at the time I bought it. I will just have to open the zip at the foot., the other thing was that the hood doesn’t feel like it would stay up, but I will just have to put a woolly hat on instead!
Have to say I wish I’d got a size or two smaller. Huge. But very warm and draught proof
Grenhinweis: Gre L ist meiner Schtzung nach “frhestens” ab 180 cm Krpergre geeignet, wobei das Gewicht fast egal ist, weil der Anzug sehr weit geschnitten ist…. Von mir klare Kaufempfehlung 😉
