I like that this VINTEAM 70/300 mm 150 x Astronomical Telescope Child Adult Beginner with Adjustable Aluminium Tripod Children’s Portable Telescope is perfect for beginners and children who love astronomy.

    Inside the package I found:
    -Eyepiece
    -Telescope Tube
    -Finder
    -Barlow lens
    -Mobile phone holder
    -Aluminium tripod
    -Instructions

It specifies that it’s easy to install, but it took me almost an hour as the instructions don’t help at all.

It comes with a smartphone adapter and can easily connect the phone to the telescope so you can capture amazing pictures or videos and share them.

    I recommend it.

Extremely good starting point for beginners to the hobby. It offers everything you need to get you going. It can be a bit daunting setting the focus the first time but the way this scope is configured it’s makes it really easy

Ordered this for the kids to have fun with – they’re by no means experienced astronomers. The instructions could have done with being more detailed and clearer. Was a bit of trial and error to get it set up. Once set up though the kids have had fun trying to spot the different constellations and look at Jupiter and the moon.
The ability to attach your phone is good as not only can you take photos and videos of what you’re looking at, the kids can sit back and watch the screen together which saves the fighting over who’s turn it is to look and how long the other person has had.

The Vineteam Astronomic Telescope is one of the cheapest telescopes currently available. It is aimed at the children’s/beginner’s market, and it arrived in perfect condition, well-packed in a surprisingly small box.
The telescope is generally made of reasonable quality plastic and various pieces fix together with metal screws. Thankfully, assembly of the telescope is very easy. There is a video showing you how to assemble it and how to fix the phone adapter, so I found no problem with the set up. There is also a small manual/leaflet to refer to.
The whole set up is quite light weight and feels fairly sturdy when the tripod legs are not extended but as they are extended to their full extent, it sometimes feels a little top heavy depending on how much you extend them so, you’ll just need to be a bit careful especially if you’re setting it up for children.
The telescope has a 3X Barlow lens and two eyepieces, H20mm and H6mm, the magnification can be adjusted from 15X to 150X.
Overall, I think this is a very good telescope for children/beginners, not too complicated to understand and taking very little time to set up which is good thing if you are setting it up for impatient children! I would definitely recommend this as a good purchase, not too expensive, to use as a steppingstone to see if it’s worth investing in more expensive telescopes in the future.

This is our first telescope. My kids was always dreaming to have one to be able to watch stars and moon and the night time. Excellent telescope for the beginners. Very easy to set up and use all. It’s lightweight and portable so you can take the telescope for a trip to enjoy view at night. The most important for me is that this telescope come with a smartphone adapter so I can capture beautiful images and share them with family and friends. Great quality and value for money. We having so much fun watching the starts at night. Highly recommended especially when you have kids. They will love i

    Excelle

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo the description states this is a:-
VINTEAM 70/300 mm 150 x Astronomical telescope child adult beginner with adjustable aluminium tripod. Children’s portable telescope with eyepieces and stand for smartphones watching stars, moon.

This was going to be kept for Christmas, but once in a lifetime thing was happening and we got it out and all saw Jupiter last month (sep’22)
But now we seen Saturn too (Oct’22)

“NASA is urging stargazers to enjoy ‘evenings with giants’ this month — as the massive planets Jupiter and Saturn will be visible in the night sky for the next few weeks.

Early in the evening, you’ll find them to the southeast, moving slowly westward with the stars over the course of the night.”

*** The lightweight telescope with adjustable non-slip aluminum tripod, so you can literally move it and change directions very easily to find the perfect position.

    *** Magnification:-
    * The magnification varies from 15X to 150X.
    * 3X Barlow lens and two eyepieces,
    H20mm and H6mm
    * 5×24 researcher to easily locate objects

They also give you the adapter where you can attach your mobile phone also. So we were able to record and take photos of what we are looking at to keep and share with others.

Most people only think of using their telescope to look at the sky at night. We live in Wales so surrounded with hills and views n wildlife. In the day time we have seen animals on the opposite mountain & it’s like they are literally standing in front of us.
To catch birds though we have more chances using the phone attachment and then record in slow.mo. lol.

The price at the time of this review is 55.99, which I think is a really good price for a fab piece of kit.
It’s a good starter I think. If they don’t loose interest then we can always upgrade if needed.

Only improvement needed really would be the instructions, for someone who’s never put one together it can be daunting. I’m lucky we got a man who thinks he knows everything so we left it up to him. Lol

    But so far so good
I will update this review if needed.

    *** Detail’s:-

This is a very good beginner / intermediate telescope, we got it for our 10 yr old and he loves it. It might not be feature packed but it has the essentials and feels like a grown up item.

There are multiple eyepieces that allow lots of adjustments to the magnification range. The included stand is sturdy and stable.

Once set up, the image quality is very good, we got some very clear shots of the moon surface on our first go.

Setting it up physically is not difficult, but only if you know what you are doing. The instructions are very poor and there isn’t much on line support. You can kind of muddle through and work out how things are put together, but this is a poor effort in this area. I almost knocked 1 star off for the poor instructions, but didn’t in the end as apart from that, this is a very capable and good value telescope.

Incredibly difficult to set up. As others have said, the instructions are completely useless so it is all just guesswork! Eventually managed to work it out and it was very good once we did. We could see the stars in the sky really clearly. It is very good value. I just wish it had better instructions!

My first thought on opening this was that the box does make it look a bit cheap and like a toy For 55 I had hoped for a little more.

However Wow! My husband has a larger, more serious telescope (and it’s certainly heavier – I’m always having to move it out of the way), and he was really impressed by this smaller, lightweight one. He set it all up, and was pleased with the range of eyepieces, and although you won’t get the same level of detail when trying to look at the stars etc, it’s certainly enough to get started with.

My little boy, who is nearly 7, also loves the idea of telescopes etc, and he has taken over this one. It lives in his bedroom, and he brings it downstairs when he wants to use it outside – it’s light enough for him to easily move it. We live near the South Downs, and when the conditions are right they have plans to take both their telescopes out to do some stargazing!

Definitely recommend – two happy star-spotters here!

Awesome, fun telescope for a beginner!

VINTEAM telescope was the most liked present I ever done to my boyfriend! it’s very easy to mount and works very well. I tried it myself and I guarantee you, even if it’s supposed to be just for beginners, you will be astonished from the view 😉

This is pretty fun in my opinion? Going to use it a big more soon but I’ve had a lot of fun with it.

For a beginner this is a fabulous telescope, which has everything you need to get started and to learn how to use different eye pieces. You get 4 eye pieces of various magnification and two barlow lenses – one to increase magnification of any eye pace by 1.5 times and the other by 3 times. The combination of the 6mm eye piece and the 3 times Barlow gives the most magnification at 150 times.

Once you figure out how to put it all together you have a great little telescope. But there is the one real problem – the instruction leaflet is almost useless – just a list of the parts. I used the photos on the Amazon product page and some you tube videos to help me to understand how to use the scope and the Barlow lenses. However once set up and you know what you are doing it’s great – the focus is fast, the images clear, and at this price this is a brilliant introduction to using a telescope

This is an excellent Telescope but I did find the instructions for assembling the telescope not easy to follow but I got there in the end and once the skies were clear it was so inspiring to look through the eyepiece and see the stars more clearer than just with the naked eye I did find that the iPhone pictures were nowhere near as good as when looking at the stars yourself through the lenses I really do like this telescope and I hope to take this with me when I go night fishing where there is low or no light pollution and I should get some incredible pictures which I will add later.

So inspiring to look trough the eyepiece and see the stars

This is a cheap and compact telescope that is a great introduction to astronomy, having everything you need, just at a slightly low quality.

You get the telescope body, tripod, spotter scope and mount, three eye pieces, 45 degree eyepiece holder, moon filter, two Barlow lenses and very, very slim instruction book. There’s a phone adaptor to go on the eyepiece too.

The spotter scope mount needs to be bolted on (simple enough, pointing “forwards”) and the spotter scope inserted and calibrated. That’s a matter of viewing an object in daylight through the scope, then adjusting the three thumbscrews on the spotter scope to get it to point to the same thing.

The three eyepieces can go directly into the angled mirror, which can go into the scope or with one of the two magnifying Barlow lenses. The optics aren’t too bad, with slight chromatic aberration (purple fringing) but is pretty much in focus across the whole field of view. Eye relief isn’t bad, best used without glasses though.

Focus adjustment is smooth, although even when the tripod in the shortest arrangement it wobbles around a bit. That’s the main negative actually – put a sturdy tripod under this and it’s much more capable.

At the highest magnification things do get rather dark, as expected. You can take pictures on your phone with a longer exposure to compensate, although you need a remote or delayed shutter release to prevent judder. It’s rather good as a daytime birdwatching scope though, and is similar in quality to slightly cheaper spotter scopes, just with a bigger tripod and greater magnification.

The lens cover that goes on the dew shield has a smaller capped opening for use with bright mood viewing (where you can use the coloured moon filter too). Having a small lens diameter a cheap solar filter could be purchased too, remembering to remove the spotter scope!

Overall it’s not bad for the price. Sure it could be better in every aspect, but that’s where you end up paying more and more. For a starter it’s a very good price though.

Nice starter kit. Obviously limited for the price.

This is a bargain and much better quality that the price suggests (59.99 at time of review).

IT comes complete with a tripod stand and lenses and ect – the instructions are clear and easy to understand.

I am quite impressed with the power of the magnification as well – if you look at the starsor the moon on a clear night it enlarges them so you can see greater details – its quite impressive and awe inspiring.

Really impressive especially for the price!

Great telescope for an introduction for children or adults alike!

Experience the moon and stars with primary school kids, learn about all the possibilities of space, and also have great connections and imagination.
It is easy for us to assemble it. But for a beginner, it took us some time to adjust the lens, and it would be nice to include a clearer explanation of what to look out for when adjusting the lens and the difference between them. But it can be used with a smartphone, and the width of the included phone adapter can be adjusted to fit any type of phone.
The telescope and three lenses are of good quality, and the tripod and base look very sturdy. All in all, it seems like a great value for money.
