Very easy to install and link together. We rely on a Villager log burner and Rayburn for heating , hot water and cooking, living on a mountain with 4×4 access only, early detection and warning of fire or carbon monoxide is crucial.
We are off grid so battery system is more of a practical solution, and being interlinked is important to give early warning to everybody in the house or barn conversion of potential danger.
We will purchase the Heat alarms to back up the Carbon monoxide alarms in the areas where the log burner and Rayburn, probably over kill but for peace of mind.

Although a little expensive the smoke detectors are neat and easy to fit with just two screws into the ceiling or wall for the base plate they come with the batteries ready to use and interconnecting them is as easy as holding down some buttons for a few seconds why these might not be as good as the mains powered version from other companies they are an easy solution if you forgot to fit these and already decorated your house they don’t seem to be overly sensitive and they are as loud as they need to be. I have decided to fit them in the hallway landing and the rear of our kitchen I thought that one in the kitchen might be a bit sensitive to smoke and fumes but we haven’t had any photo alarms since fitting. One improvement that would be great is if one of the devices had a light that came on when alarming this would be a great help for the landing area if it ever was to be used in earnest. Plants to keep using these until I can find a sets of smoke detectors that will connect to my ring smart home alarm.
We were advised to get branded ones but after a little research we came across these. I interlinked them myself within a couple of minutes, no issues and install was so simple. Cannot comment on the battery yet as they’ve not long been up.
When I fitted the original to my house, I’d totally forgotten about the ATTIC space! Now covered!

Ich habe die Feuermelder fr meine Eltern gekauft und ah e sie auch aufgehngt. Die Anleitung ist przise und erklrt die besten Stellen zum Aufhngen. Die Feuermelder knnen berall aufgehngt werden, wo sie mit Schrauben befestigt werden knnen (alternativ gibt es Klebepunkte auf Amazon zu kaufen). Die Feuermelder sind sehr laut und kommunizieren super untereinander. Das koppeln funktioniert ohne Probleme.

We live in a town house, so 3 floors that need alarm coverage.
The instructions were easy to follow, and I really liked that these alarms are linked straight out of the box.
Installing them took all of 10 minutes and once installed, it was very reassuring to know that if 1 goes off they all go off.

Easy to setup, not compatible with Scotland’s new laws but I’m in Wales, they’ll do for me.

The X-sense alarms are small but feel of a very high build quality and are much better than the well known brand name that they have replaced which had started chirping for no reason, despite only being 3 years old.
They X-sense alarms were easy to install and look particularly neat. As such, I am happy to recommend them.
They look nice on ceiling and easy to install only thing is I can’t get a heat sensor to match the smoke alarms

Fantastic idea of all 3 being linked they were easy to put up and test, we have one in the kitchen one in hallway and one upstairs landing.. they have a button you can press if it goes off accidentally whilst cooking for 9 minutes so no more flapping a tea towel in front of it to stop the noise..after 9 minutes they reset back to on mode. A deflate must for any household
They all interlinked very well once they were set up, when tested with smoke at one they all sounded well pleased with that, but when I stuck them on the ceiling one did fall off, sorted that but reinstalling it vertical on the wall,hope this helps.

This product was easy to install after I replaced the screw plugs with Rawlplugs. It passed the Alarm Test but I cannot vouch for its behaviour when exposed to smoke.
Cannot comment on battery life. Noise output 85db. Easily wireless connection between detectors.
These item came quick and looked fine, unfortunatly could not get heat alarm of same make and as unsure if another make would interlink with them returned them, which was an be easy process
This set of alarms comes with instructions, screws and plugs ready to be fixed in position. It takes a few minutes to get them up and installed and you can choose to link them or not. They have sealed non replaceable batteries which last for ten years. You can add more units as required but sadly there is not a heat detector so for the Scottish legislation (2022) these will not currently comply.
I have tested these and they seem to be as sensitive as my existing detectors, and the RF link easily covers my 3 bedroom house. The alarms are certainly loud enough to wake the house and the linked feature means that each alarm sounds if one of them detects smoke.
For the money this is a good set of linked alarms. They are very easy to install, work well and will certainly alert you to any fires in your property. Fingers crossed they release a compatible heat alarm to allow them to comply with the new Scottish regulations.
I had been looking to replace 2 of my smoke alarms, when this set of 3 interconnected smoke alarms became available for review.
This X-Sense wireless Interconnected set of Smoke Alarms came nicely packed and ready go. I decided to test them together on the table before fitting them in their final positions. Setup was very easy, I just made sure the back plates were clipped on and turned before I started, this pushes a button on the back of the unit to turn the smoke sensor on. I then pressed the test button 4 times on 1 smoke alarm its then ready and waiting for another smoke alarm for connection, I pressed the test button 2 times on the second unit and then they bleep independently and then together to indicate they have interconnected. Following this it’s just a matter of pressing the button 4 times on 1 of the units already setup to add another.
Mounting didn’t take long, I just had to fixed the back plates to the ceilings with the supplied screws and wall plugs and clip the smoke alarms in place.
These smoke alarms have a large 2,400 mAh lithium battery, so hopefully they should last the 10 year quoted battery life. The test/silence button can also be used to find the smoke alarm that had trigged the warning. This set all have a photoelectric sensor, I prefer this type as there is less likely to be false alarms when mounted near the kitchen.
Overall, this is an excellent quality set of smoke alarms with the added benefit of being interconnected. This may give just that little bit of extra time to evacuate the house in an emergency. These may be a little more expensive, but you can’t put a cost on life!

Having 3 smoke detectors that are all connected and will all sound the alarm simultaneously when smoke is detected is a brilliant idea.
The detectors arrive already paired and just need fixing in place. There’s no need to do anything technical these detectors arrive ‘smart’!
The sound level when triggered is loud – very loud! These alarms will wake you at night if there was smoke detected. There is also a silent button if the alarm goes off due to cooking.
If one sounds they all sound which is great for loft rooms and extensions. Our loft needed to be sound insulated, so having an alarm in the loft is a massive piece of mind. If smoke is detected by one alarm the other 2 alarms will also sound and undoubtedly be heard throughout the house.
I am most impressed with the batteries, each alarm comes with a sealed battery which guarantees a 10-year lifespan, there is an expiry on the base that you can access to check and set a reminder for. This is a fantastic feature and gives me piece of mind that I don’t have to worry about them not working every few months.
I am really happy with the product and think they are a fantastic addition to the home to ensure you and your family are safe — just try not to burn any toast.
I already have a set of the more compact version of these X-Sense wireless smoke detectors, which work very well. As I have a large house, I wanted to add more coverage to those. I also want to be able to put one in the garden office I am going to have built and these have a range of up to 250m — depending on what the signal is having to pass through. This set of the larger ones, can either be set-up as a ring of three or added to my existing set-up, giving me a ring of six smoke detectors. In fact, you can have up to 24 detectors on the wireless ring
The key benefit with these detectors is that if one is triggered, they all go off, and setting them up is simple and easy to do. They come with a backplate, which you can attach to a wall, ceiling, etc and then the detector simply clips onto this, making mounting them easy.
As you would expect, they are loud, and I measured the level at 80db. As to battery life, it is stated that you get 10-years, but I am unable to substantiate this, as I have not had this set or the other long enough.
I much prefer these to cheaper, stand-alone ones since they inter-link and would hopefully give us more time in case of an actual fire.
One consideration though, is that if you have a lot of RF emitting equipment, this may cause false alarms.
You cannot really put a price on safety and, although I do not know the actual price of this set (the mini version I have retails at 59.99 on the Amazon website), I do think they offer good value for money.

Another great product from X sense. We’ve got a security alarm system from them and also carbon monoxide sensors.
I absolutely love that you can link the units in with each other so if you’re covering a large house you can rely on the alarms on the sensors closest to you going off and alerting you even if the smoke is detected in another part of the house far away.

We had three different fire alarms, either by luck or design the bases of these had exactly the bsame hole centres so it was just a matter of removing the old bases and scrwing these in (I used the old screws. One very minor issue if you use on a wall and have horizontally aligned holes when your attach the unit it is not aligned vertically.
All of mine were already configured and worked as advertised.
The alarms are well packaged and each one is supplied with its rawlplugs and screws.Easy install to fix the base just 2 small drill holes.The base connects to the main unit via a simple twist motion and an expiry date is listed on the back of the unit -mine being 25th November 2031.
These smoke alarms come with a sealed 10 year battery,you do not not have the hassle of needing to replace the batteries.
The alarms are easy to interconnect and very audible when they are set off.Good product.
Wow….honestly the easiest set up ever! the tricky bit is the screwing in the the bace. I live in a very old flat and screws just dont work. I use super glue and glue setting spray. Done in 5 second. To activate screw in….Brilliant. Test… prerfect. Done! did number 2 the same way. To link to gather press 1 4x go to new one, press 2 times. Bingo linked. do the same for 3 and all done. I installed and 3 in 15mins and all done and dusted. Fantastic.
Inside the 3 smoke alarms are packed with cardboard dividers & their back plates are not attached.
Once the back plate is attached to the smoke alarm, the 10 year battery begins to work & you can test the alarm, link them up etc.. – it presses down a button that turns it on & it stays on as long as the back is attached.
My set had a date of replacement printed on the back of each alarm of 2031-11-25 (so that is 25th November 2031)
There are wall plugs & screws in the pack for fixing these up.
Each smoke alarm has a base diameter of approx 12.2cm & a height (base plate & alarm included) of approx 4.3cm so they are pretty averagely sized.
There are 3 included in this pack.
They could be used independently, or you could use 2 in a house & one in a garage etc… & choose to link all 3 (or just 2, or get some more & link them up if required)
I found them pretty easy to link up & very straightforward to have up & running.
I redecorate more often than I probably should, so this is something I think about when installing things like smoke alarms.
When detached from the base, these are turned off so they make no sounds.
My old ones would beep when detached to tell me they were detached which drove me up the wall, so my preference is for alarms that only work when you want them to, however this means that if you put them up & don’t test them, you may not have inserted them correctly & they may not be working.
This does not come with a remote to test the alarms, which can be purchased seperately which I felt was a bit of a let down to be honest.
I also recently reviewed an alarm system by the same company & was disappointed to find that these alarms cannot be included in the app although the company does make other smoke alarms that can be.
PLEASE NOTE that the new legislation in Scotland from February 2022 requires both interlinked smoke & heat alarms & this set does not fulfil the requirements now in place for Scotland by itself.
You would need to add interlinked heat alarms (& CO2 monitors if you have a boiler, open fire or log burner but they don’t have to be interlinked) to these although as far as I am aware X-Sense do not make them at this time.
These smoke detectors are an absolute doddle to install, it’s just a case of screwing on the base plate and then twisting the front part on. There’s a button on the top to test if the alarm’s working.
The battery comes ready-installed and can’t be replaced; this should last 10 years and there’s an automatic low battery warning built in.
You get two smoke alarms for the price and I think they’re worth the outlay considering the ease of installation and zero maintenance. An absolute household essential for peace of mind and protection they offer.
Ahhh finally a smoke alarm that doesn’t constantly need batteries changing! Let’s hope the battery life lasts as long as it says it does.. so far so good!

This set of two smoke alarms are easy to fit. They have an LED indicator and a silence button. It says the battery life is ten years – but at the moment I can’t verify that!
The smoke alarms do seem to work better than my last lot as I’m not getting as many “false alarms”. It took literally a few minutes to instal each alarm and if I can do it, anyone can. It has a low battery warning, for the safety of your family. This device does look good quality and I’m hoping the battery will last the ten years as promised.
I had gotten SO fed up with being woken up at 3am by our smoke alarms going off letting me know the batteries were running out. Why is it always the middle of the night they do that? Fingers crossed these solve that problem if the battery lasts as long as they say it does!
They are super easy to fit, screws and plugs are included. You attach the base plate to the ceiling and the alarm just twists on. It needs to be attached to the base plate to work and you can check it’s in place with the test button. It will not chirp if not fully twisted into the base plate. The alarms are nice and loud.
Price wise I think they’re a bargain especially if you don’t have to keep paying to replace the batteries
I already have a WiFi enabled smoke alarm in my hallway for when I’m out and about but I still wanted one for the living room and on our landing for when we are in bed, Having had two previous house fires many years ago I am aware of how important an early warning is so I ordered these to give me the extra coverage.
On opening, these units look very tidy and are nicely built with a clean modern appearance. Fitting them is simple enough with just a couple of screws to mount them to the ceiling. These come with a 10 year builtin battery so they are maintenance free and shouldn’t need to be changed for many years to come, I used to often forget to test the batteries in my old smoke alarms that took the standard AA type of throw away battery, with these there is no such issue.
Although these are upstairs they still picked up on some smoke from our kitchen one day when we were having a fry up and the pan got to hot so they are quite sensitive but another day when we had some toast burn under the grill they didn’t sound the alarm so hopefully they won’t give to many false alarms.
These look good, work well and with two in the pack these are also good value especially when there are no more batteries to buy for up to 10 years.

This is a good quality up to date technology smoke alarm, it comes with a 10 year built in lithium battery so no need to worry about the battery running out. it was easy to set up and use and works well. These great little smoke alarms gives us the peace and mind to know we are safe. Pack of 2 so great for upstairs and down.
These alarms are a handy size, easily handled and fitted, and are neat and modern looking.
Clearly I cannot confirm the 10 battery life claimed but the alarm seems comparable to alarms fitted by the fire brigade in my area with similar claims.
After fitting, a weekly fire test is recommended and this gives me confidence to trust that the unit is performing as expected,
I am very happy with this purchase and will probably obtain more to cover all key points in my home.

These X-Sense Smoke Alarms are well packaged and the build quality looks excellent. They have sealed batteries that are not replaceable and have a 10 Year life span. So, basically, once you have installed the alarms, apart from regular testing, they should be trouble-free for ten years.
There’s a wall bracket that fits flat on the ceiling with a couple of screws (supplied). Once the bracket is screwed into place you just gently offer the smoke alarm to the bracket, making sure it’s aligned, and then twist it clockwise until you feel a couple of clicks. That’s it. The alarm is now set/activated. You can make sure that it is working okay by holding the test button in until you hear three loud bleeps. The action of twisting the alarm into place on the wall bracket depresses a small button on the body of the smoke alarm. It couldn’t be a simpler installation.
There’s a good user manual which should answer any questions you may have about the alarms. In normal operation a brief LED blink can be seen emitted by the smoke detector. If you wait a minute or so you should see it briefly blink. In addition to the test button this lets you know that the system is working correctly.
These are well made devices and you get two for 30, there are no batteries to puchase either, so I think they are good value.
I already own a few X-Sense Smoke Alarm’s, including a WiFi connected one and I was looking to replace some older ones which are high up and difficult to replace the batteries periodically.
This set of 2 smoke alarms claims to use an improved detector to increase its chances of going off and it includes a sealed 10 year battery. Mine arrived with exactly 10 years left on the date. After 10 years they need to be thrown away, its a shame I cannot order a replacement battery unit.
The size of these are quite large and are the same as the standard smoke detector size compared to some modern ones I have which are much smaller. Installation is easy with a removable back plate and twist lock on the bottom.
At the time of review these are 24 with a voucher which is pretty good value for money as I often spend more than that on batteries over a 10 year stretch. I would recommend these as X-Sense products have always worked well for me and are very loud when they need to be.
A good price for a good pair of smoke detectors. They are battery operated but come with their own integrated battery which claims a ten year life. This makes them straight forward to locate and fix to a ceiling. No need to worry about any wiring. testing the detectors confirms that they have a good loud alarm too, ensuring that you’ll hear them over loud music or if your asleep should they go off.
29.99 for two of these easy to fit smoke alarms seems like fairly reasonable value. I have put one in the hallway, outside the kitchen door and the other one at the opposite end of what is a very long and narrow hallway, between two doorways, one of which leads to the emergency escape window. They look very modern and neat. The one I had in the hallway has been giving excellent service for 25 years and still was working when I replaced it with these. It was tested every week for battery power and signalling and we knew it worked whenever someone singed their toast, so good service and only ever the need to change the battery now and again. These new ones would be even more desirable if the batteries were replaceable. 10 year battery life is excellent if they achieve this or near enough. I have given a score for battery life based purely on this claim, as it is obviously not possible to base it on experience when they have just been fitted. Sadly when the battery is no longer efficient, the whole appliance gets disposed off. More plastic. Here is hoping that it can be recycled as plastic has become a major problem worldwide to such an extent that shortly there is to be no new virgin plastic produced. A replaceable battery would create an even bigger market for these smoke alarms.

It is a kind of home device that is good to have but never wishes to use. But, on the other hand, it could be a possible life-saver.
It has a test button and LED indicator that should indicate a malfunction or low battery.
It claims that it has a 10-yr battery that I can’t be sure of yet as I only have it for quite a while. Maybe update this review after 10 yrs?
I like that it meets the quality standard EN 14604 Standard, which is our first consideration when buying a smoke alarm. Tho many people overlook this detail.
Overall, I find this pair highly recommendable.

These have built in batteries that give a life of around 10 years. They have a Led indicator and very loud alarm output.
Fixing.
The base plate screws into the ceiling with the two supplied screws. All you need is a small Philips screwdriver to fix the plate. The main alarm twist fits into the plate and switches on. Set and forget! The unit has a test button so you can check the alarm and let other people know what it sounds like.
Overall.
Two set and forget (for 10 years anyway) alarm. Good quality and quick to fit. Peace of mind.
These have become an essential protection in the home but one small snag is that they never seem to have a replaceable battery. It is therefore a really good idea to have a couple of spares, especially as they are not an expensive item to keep in reserve.
I cannot c comment on how well these work, it needs a fie to do that !!. They do however seem to be a good quality construction and they show all the necessary approval marks. Fitting is just a case of screwing the back in place and clipping on the detector. A really cheap way of improving home safety.
I note that one of the star ratings requested is for “adhesion” it would be a nice feature if it was possible to stick these in place rather than make screw holes but as the back of the bracket is recessed with a raised ridge around the edge it is not possible to use any sort of adhesive or adhesive pad on the back to fit them.
This apparently is a low to no maintenance battery that will last 10 years – obviously, I cannot verify that but I will update in due course.
This battery is equipped with the latest tech in the form of an advanced photoelectric sensor that is supposedly 5 times more accurate when compared to traditional sensors – I don’t know what that means but I’ve used products from X-sense before and they generally perform well.
Overall, smoke alarms are a good idea and this iteration from X-sense ticks all the boxes.
2 quality smoke detectors which are easy to install. It took me a few minutes to put up and get working usin the screws. The battery life is good at 10 years. I cannot comment on whether that claim is true or not because I have only just got these but I would expect it to be true. The alarm is loud and effective. Easy to test. Easy to operate. Good smoke detectors and my view is every house should have them. These are as good as ones I have had in the past,.
