Love our new step ladder, really helped feeling secure standing on the last step. Really helped us putting ornaments on our 9 Ft tree. Felt sturdy , the wide steps are so helpful.
Used many a step ladder for work in the past but this one for home use is perfect, sturdy and also allows for a comfortable perch with its wide steps. Haven’t really got any cons, the ladders are light and fold to a slim profile so easy to tuck away. What’s not to like.
Sturdy and easy to store. Exactly what we were looking for.
This ladder is very wide and sturdy. I feel so comfortable and unafraid to get on it. I wish I had it sooner to get my Christmas stuff from the overhead garage shelves. I highly recommend it.
It’s perfect for reaching high ceiling, easy to fold/unfold, this is solidly built and a must buy item, truly deserved five (5) star’s rating! *****
It’s great – wide treads, very stable & good handrail at the top. Foods flat so very easy to store.
Bought this for work. It’s light and easy to use.
Just what I need! light, easy to put up and fold, enough steps for me to reach all the high spots in my home. would recommend them to all my friends , very pleased with item.
Will utilize this for many years to come. Love how little spaces it requires.
I was worried given one of the reviews about the lack of a locking mechanism. Luckily no problem at all! I’m quite heavy and I am confident standing on 4th and 5th step. I bought this to help paint my ceiling and it’s perfect, strap should be used to hold it closed when moving it which is common sense and works well.
I needed a lightweight ladder to take in my RN. I am pleased with this purchase. Arrived on time as described. Not only light but folds very flat. I only gave 4 stars for sturdiness because it is make of aluminum so it will have limitations. Overall very pleased and works well for my application.
Purchased for my daughter to use in her dorm room for her lofted bed. She has used it a few days and so far no issues. She can fold and open it easily and it doesn’t take up too much room. Seems sturdy and stable when she uses it.
Love these stepladders as they fold very flat and are light to move. Very sturdy. An excellent buy.
I got the 5-step model for maximum height on the top step. The ladder feels very stabile and secure, even on the top step. The top extension feels sturdy in the extended position, but is easy to retract for storage.
Expensive but worth the cost. They fold flat, are lightweight and have a large tread for the foot. Highly reccomended.
Easy to setup and collapse. Locks securely in place. Pull out hand grip adds more stability when on top step. Exactly as described in every aspect.
Very good for household use. Just a couple of things: I thought the steps would have rubber treads, but the treads are metal; the ladder seems a bit wobbly, but this is understood because it’s aluminum (after a couple uses a person can become familiar with its stability). The steps are a good size that even permits some minimal degree of turning as you stand on them. The extendable top handrail allows better storage as well as some safety when climbing or descending. The light weight is exceptional for handling. Overall is well suited for my home purposes.
This is a very easy ladder to use. It is light but feels good when standing on it. The steps are not as wide as I had hoped and for a 5 step I would have expected more heighth.
The steps are narrow and I would not recommend for a large person.
This is a great ladder, I was nervous to order a ladder online, but this is the best, very high quality, light weight, sturdy functional, perfect to store away. Luv it
This is a good product for the money
Love the ladder unfortunately it came with dents on the sides of the ladder. Wondering if it worth setting it back for replacement!
At 73 this ladder is good with wider steps and the upper handle. Am much more secure than with a regular step ladder.
My old, bulky 5 step ladder wasn’t tall enough to reach the back of my wardrobes so I borrowed this ladder from my neighbour. It was really easy to open and close, and gave me the extra height I needed. It also folds down to such a slim profile. I was so impressed, I bought the same model. It now slips easily out of the way between two cupboards in the hall, which means it is readily available when needed. The old, bulky one was too wide to go there, so I’ve now gained some internal cupboard space by getting rid of it. This new, slim one is very sturdy, and the extending handle at the top makes it secure when you are at at the top. Really impressed with this.
Good sturdy wide step ladder..a little heavier than some.
This has proved to be very sturdy and well buil
I wanted a lightweight ladder for small jobs around the house, and this is perfect. I’m, 5’4″, 120 lbs, and I have no trouble moving this ladder all around. It’s really high (for indoor jobs…you’ll want something taller for outdoor jobs) and really sturdy. I feel totally comfortable at the top by myself.
I think the price is great ($120.00 as of this review), especially when compared to Lowe’s or Home Depot prices.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this ladder. It’s a super handy thing to have around the house and goes much higher than a small step ladder. We’re very happy with this product.
I am pleased with this. The wide steps are a bonus. I had trouble raising the hand rail, took a hammer in the end but otherwise this is a good tool. I am using it outside for painting a summer house so it rests on very uneven ground. It remains stable. On my previous steps, the feet used to sink into the mud but these don’t!
I tie the paint pot to the rail and it is easy to move the whole thing.
The highest ladder I could find for the price first one came dented they replaced it with a new one I would like it to be a little more sturdy but as long as I am careful hopefully I will have a long time
This is easy to open up and immediately use.
Comes pre-built in box.
Looks great and is sturdy.
Overall I really like it.
Very happy with the quality and usefulness of it.
> Sturdy. So I am very plus size. I love the thick steps and the handle.. My partner is about 260 and he says he loves the thick steps and handle, we both feel like – in terms of quality of materials, it feels a lot like other ladders, but the wide steps and secure handle are the stand out feature that make this ladder better. If I were under 220 – this would be a no brainer, 5 star ladder – but I’m giving it 4 stars because it they are aiming at plus size, the only stand out is the wide step and handle, other than that – materials feel the same as a standard ladder. If anything changes and the ladder breaks – I will update my review.
So I have a 2-step step stool that I use a lot, and of course a 6 foot aluminum ladder. Sometimes the step stool isn’t enough, especially for high-up stuff indoors, and dragging the ladder in the house can be a real pain. Sometimes you just need an in-between ladder. This is why I picked this up.
It’s very light, and easy to set up and fold. It’s not wide, in fact it’s a bit on the narrow side, so it’s not the most stable of ladders on Earth. But I didn’t find it “tipsy” or anything. But it folds VERY flat, to where you can store it just about anywhere, in a closet, under the bed, I honestly think it would fit under 90% of the couches out there. Sometimes you need another step or 2 and this is perfect for getting to those high spaces when you don’t need a full blown 6 foot ladder, and this take up MUCH less space.
This is a review of The Xinsunho 5 Step Ladder
I own, a 3-step ladder, and two A-frame ladders. The 3-step is easy to use and allows me access to the upper portions of cabinets, and just for doing everyday jobs around the house; while the A-frames are for bigger jobs, primarily out-of-doors. I plant this 5-step ladder right in the middle. Some sections of my house have 10-foot ceilings. A 3-step ladder is not going to cut it, and I sure do not wish to drag an A-frame into the house.
This 5-step in the perfect comprise between the two. It is lightweight 14.75 pounds (6.7kg) It easily opens up, and even has a retractable safety hand grip. The back side has metal cross braces which make it exceptionally stable. I have only had it a few days; however, I have cleaned the dust off a few high ceiling fans, and other high-off-the-ground projects with ease. The stairs are extra wide and secure, and that retractable hand grip really comes in handy.
FYI: If you do not need a 5-step ladder, they also have models with 3 or 4 steps.
Bottom Line
Although I have only had it a few days, I am already mapping out more projects around the house. And they will be made a whole lot easier with this ladder.
The first time I tried to extend the handgrip, it wouldn’t go up. So, I kept looking for a lock button to push. None. There is no locking mechanism for when the ladder is folded up. Finally, I just yanked it up. It hasn’t stuck in the down position since.
The steps are made of metal with tread grooves that won’t wear our (at least in my lifetime). Steps are deep, so feet are much more firmly grounded than on a typical ladder. It folds to a much thinner and shorter profile than a typical step ladder.
Five steps are plenty for me to reach ceiling air filters, ceiling lights, and presumably to paint. I’m 6’2″tall. Our house has 10′ ceilings. I can reach everything inside from the 4th step. When the ladder is unfolded, it locks in place, so feels relatively stable.
That’s the only real glitch. It is “relatively” stable. I’m guessing if the ladder were 2 inches wider it would be close to perfect. Still, I’ve got 5 ladders and this is by far my favorite. How about making a 3 legged one with 8 steps for the orchard?
