I got this as a present for Christmas At first I didnt even know what it was, but now Im absolutely fascinated by my little plants growing each day. My photo shows what my plants are like 2 weeks since planting, well on their way! The setup was easy and the maintenance is simple, just change the water every few weeks. I think even a child could manage it. I cant wait to have home grown peppers, chillies, lettuce and herbs on my kitchen counter. Highly recommend!

Totally worth your money, works just like it say. This is a wonderful product, this is great for beginners, birthdays, children, teens, everyone, and anyone. And for those hard to buy for, this would be a great gift idea.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInitially it did not power on . I wrote to the company and they replied quickly with further instructions. After reviewing them the issue turned out to be user error. Once corrected it powered on just fine. I’ve had it a week and lettuce is already sprouting. I’ll update later with better pictures once everything is up and thiving.

I will be fully honest, I wasn’t really expecting this one to work as i have bought many from different companies in the past. But i was very happy with this company and product. It works perfectly out of the box and i have had no issues at all!

It is very easy to build and comes with a handy little book to give you info and how to set the system up. The system also looks really good for your room. Which this was another important thing for me as I didn’t want to have pipes and an ugly-looking hydro system, But over all very happy with this, and its run perfectly without issues. Plus it looks really nice and will fit in with your room decore

I already put some of them in soil, but still I use the A+B nutrition liquid with water and keep them under the light until the weather is better and they can go to the balcony.

-Easy to set up and use.
-Good for gift for adult and kinds.
-Work automatically, 16h with light, 8h without light.
-You have to check weekly the water level.

    Just what I needed

This is a fun efficient way to grow stuff. The kit came with full instructions and was so easy to assemble and get started. My seeds started to germinate within days. The system looks good and my friends have all admired it.
I did have a slight problem which Yoocaa’s customer services dealt with in a friendly, efficient and speedy way.

    Amazing growing system

The unit is great! Amazing value for money and easy set up. No issues 3-4 weeks in. However, the plant food part B already has a lot of mould forming in it. I think the formula needs to be revised because I noticed others having the same issue from the reviews. I had to strain it out using a coffee filter.

I’m hoping this doesn’t harm my plants which are currently thriving and doing well. I’m going to try and find alternative nutrients before the next water change.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI bought Yoocaa hydroponic machine in July of 2022. It worked exceptionally well for 8 months through about 4 growing cycles. It works so much better the 6 pod Aero Garden I also use. In March of this year I was ready to clean it out and start another round of seeds but after cleaning it and getting the pods seeded and into their holes it would not turn back on. I contacted the company and they were very prompt in answering my email. They had me take the machine apart and put it back together. I filmed it and sent to video to them. They promptly sent me a new one and were very gracious about it. I’ve seldom seen such great customer service. As for the machine itself, I love it. My plants sprout twice as quick as the seeds in my Aero Garden. I think it has a lot to do with the fertilizer Yoocaa uses. I’m going to start using the Yoocaa fertilizer in my Aero Garden. I understand issues with small hydroponic machines are fairly common but I’m willing to take the risk of getting another Yoocaa simple because of the customer service. in the picture I attached the plants in the small Aero Garden had been growing several weeks longer than the Yoocaa

Bought as a fun present for my wife at Christmas. Planted herb seeds on Dec 28th and small plants began to grow in approx 10 days. The same seeds planted in normal pots on same windowsill are growing just as well if not better! Not sure about how much more effective the hydroponics are over normal pots but time will tell I guess. The pump runs very quiet and the multicoloured LEDs all appear to be working. Due for first clean and refill of nutrient water now so perhaps there will be a growth spurt!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGrows herbs very well, I’ve been trying to grow a habanero plant, having trouble getting it to fruit, but I don’t think that’s an issue with the unit. I planted 2 pods of cilantro, and ended up having to get rid of them due to the shear amount of cilantro it was growing. I had the top controller burn out on me a few months into use. The seller was easy to work with and sent a replacement out after I sent a video showing the unit not working. The plant food that comes with it seems to work well, when I ran out I purchased one of the Aerogarden jugs on Amazon. The instruction book in my unit was in German, not sure if they’re all like that, but you can get by very easily with just the photos for assembly, there really aren’t many parts to it.
The top to it extends up a decent way up which is nice when your plants get tall, though I generally trim them back so I can keep it under a cabinet.
It has a mode for veggies and a mode for flowers, the color of the light changes, I don’t know enough about gardening to know if there’s a real functional difference between the lights.
Overall it grows plants a lot faster and fuller than anything that I’ve ever had in an outside garden. I think this spring I’ll use it to start seedlings for the outdoor garden.

Good for kitchen herbs, top burnt out, company replaced it.

I would definitely recommend this product if you’re looking for a home hydroponic system.

I bought this after moving into a flat with no garden. It did what I wanted it to do do, and I got some herbs growing and I got a pepper plant going which I really wanted. Nothing too fabulous in produce. As of today it no longer turns on after a big flash of the leds when I changed the water. Really disappointed as I thought it would last longer especially for 90 for a birthday present to myself. I’m going to try and get my dad to see if he can fix it but I’m not hopeful.

I love this product! I love growing food myself but am quite the novice. My husband brought this as a birthday present for me, and I was so happy. I had been looking at these sorts of products but they were really expensive, and I couldn’t justify spending the money if it is not suitable for me. This product was very reasonably priced.
It was easy to put together, with full instructions for ongoing care. I put it together, and added some vegetable seeds that I happened to have. A couple of days later, I removed the plastic domes as the seeds had already started to grow. I put the lights on for a couple of hours a day, and I am seeing alot of growth. The photo is about 4 weeks of growth. I have had no problems with this product at all.
I would highly recommend this product!

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our Users[This review is NOT sponsored] I’ve been using three of these systems since November. I can’t yet speak for the peppers, strawberries, and cucumbers I’m growing in here, except that all three are getting close to flowering, but I can speak for the success I’ve had with the tomatoes I’m growing. You can see the timeline of photos I’ve included. The very last one is whenever I transferred the plants to an AeroGarden Farm 12XL because they became too large for these systems (which is what I was hoping for!).

The only problem is that the AeroGarden nutrients I’m using isn’t enough for the plants to produce fruit after they flower, so hopefully switching to Cal-Mag tomorrow solves that. Speaking of which, I don’t use the nutrients that the seller included. I have a friend who has had success with the nutrients, as it’s sold alongside many other hydroponic systems on Amazon, but I just like to stick to AeroGarden nutrients – personal preference.

Finally, I’d like to add that the seller was very responsive and went great lengths to solve a problem I was having – even taking the time to reach back out after a couple of weeks to check-in on things. Highly recommend!

    HOW I GROW:
    1. Change water every two weeks
    2. Add AeroGarden Liquid Nutrients every two weeks after water changes (Note: fruiting plants require a little more nutrients than leafy greens, so best to either dedicate a system to one type)
    3. Add 15mL of 3% H202 per gallon (these systems are about 0.9 gallons) to prevent root rot and algae
    4. [OPTIONAL] Add HydroGuard 72 hours after H202 for better plant health (make sure to wait 72 hours, otherwise the H202 will kill the beneficial bacteria in the Hydroguard, defeating the purpose)
    5. Between water changes every two weeks, top off the water tank whenever it gets low (I usually do every two days as habit)

    RESEARCH THE FOLLOWING FOR SUCCESS:
    -Pruning mature plants
-How to identify “true leaves” in baby sprouts (this is the moment your plant is considered “mature” and can receive the normal dosage of nutrients)
-Removing extra sprouts (if more than one germinates in a pod, you need to pluck them all except for one)
    -How to harvest your plant
    -How to pollinate
    -Indeterminate vs. Determinate varieties
-Trimming/Managing roots + Identifying root rot
-Pest control/prevention (which would be very rare in a system this small)
-Having a backup plan to transfer the plant in case it “outgrows” the system.

    Good luck!

Great, Affordable System! Seller was AWESOME at resolving problems

This piece of kit is great. I wanted a growing system that i could use indoors that would replace my usual growing of seeds on a windowsill. This is easy to put together with instructions that are easy to follow and my seeds are in. The item came with 7 plastic plant domes short but contact with the seller was prompt and positive, and they kindly refunded the cost of the missing items within days of the initial delivery and first contact. This item is smart, clean and easy to use. The seller’s customer service was excellent.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOn the whole, this product is good.

    Pros:

The design is nice and looks lovely in the kitchen. It has been very successful in growing tomatoes and chillies, so 5 star for how it works and style.

    Cons:

I had a question sent to the seller asking about mold on the sponges and if this is something that should be of concern, and no response has been received to date.

Today, after only a month of having the A&B nutrients opened, these have turned moldy. The shelf life for these are suppose to be 5months once opened. These have been kept in a cool, dry and dark place. This issue would not have been a major concern, but guidance from the seller on how to get more nutrients would be beneficial to people who are new to Hydroponics, especially when there are so many numerous nutrient products on the market which is overwhelming.

Either way, I would still purchase this product as it has been successful despite the above issues.

    Updated:

I have to say I contacted the customer service from the details in the warranty booklet and they were very on the ball. Quick to respond and after seeing that it was a technical fault with the machine causing my issue, sent out an immediate replacement. Can’t say fairer than that! I should say I bought 2 of these originally and the other one is working perfectly for our friends and they have HUGE plants after 3 weeks of setting up, Tomatoes, herbs, and chillis I think

I thought this would be complicated but once you get it out the box it’s easy to put together. I was growing tomato plants from seed within days. It comes with plant feed that you put in the water when you fill it up, which is easy enough to do. Then you put your seeds in earth-type mounds supplied and within 2 days you can see the results of your not-so-hard work. If you lift one up you can see the roots in the water, at which point you can pot them or keep them growing for a while. You do need to clean the filter out once a month and keep it topped up with water but there is a buoy that keeps track of the water level. The only caveat is the water pump is a little bit on the weak side but you could supplement this with a superior version if so desired. Overall, for the money I’m satisfied.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere is a full pictured instructions display clearly step by step on how to get it assemble. The height of the LED panel is height adjustable. You can adjust the height when you plant grow taller. It is not hard to assemble at all but with the instructions, life is a lot easier. There are 4 buttons on the top cover, on/off button, veg button, flower button and pump button. The veg and flower button controls the different in LED light display, they both will turn LED on for 16 hrs and rest for 8 hrs per day. The pump mode is to control the hydro flow underneath to work. They are quite self explanatory. There are 12 little slots and 12 soild holders and dehydrated soils in the pack for you to use. After putting seeds in each slots, please remember to cover up the slot with the little transparent cap provided in the set. There are some reusable plant label for you to use and some plastic sticks just in case you need it to support the vine type plants arch as tomatoes. It’s a fun little growing gadget for indoor use and to give a better control of the whole photosynthesis process so that plants grow in a more systematic way. There are 80 LED on the panel and is very bright. My little plants starts to grow and hopefully I can harvest soon. What a lovely gadget.

This larger than normal hydroponics herb kit can take up to 12 plants. It is a fully automated system and self watering. With no soil and no watering its really clean and tidy and makes no mess – you just adjust the LED light as the plants grow. This lighting and watering system will produce bigger plants faster. It is quiet and reliable and looks neat too. A great product and a lovely gift idea.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis works using a 14 hours on / 10 hours off daylength which is not adjustable.
I suspect daylength has more bearing on fruiting/flowering than LED colour.
And the controls are such that you cannot use an external timer.

This may not be a problem for many but cheeses me off a bit as it features numerous design improvements over others I’ve had that it seems like a bit of a glaring oversight.

    Anyway, the benefits are:
The support pole is telescopic so can be adjusted to fit into shelving.
Only one power supply cable where others require a separate lead for lights / pump.
Controls are all easily accessible on the unit rather than on a panel on an in-line cable switch.
Domes / covers supplied. Saves having to fashion something out of clear plastic food cartons/cups.
Having 12 pod holes and optional covers offers more flexibility to allow more space for larger plants.
Nutrients are included which is helpful as I understand plant food requirements differ with hydroponics.

Seems a bit pricey but is a fair size and I guess is the going rate for this type of thing.
As long as you’re not bothered about the fixed lights on/off cycle, I’d deffo recommend this unit.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is an ideal hydroponics set for someone with no garden space or if you just want to easily grow anything during the winter months by providing the ideal growing conditions. The set includes everything apart from seeds to get going. It includes two lots of pods and hopefully these are easy to come by for replacing as they are a one use only. Everything has been considered even hard plastic straws which can be pushed into the holes near the pods as a plant supports.

I was a little unsure the water would circulate properly with the pump being on one side, the movement is definitely more concentrated on this side, when I tested with food dye the water does distribute around eventually but it would have been better to have a more centrally located pump pushing water each side or on one side but pushing water one direction so it circulates. As it is its likely the roots once developed may reduce the water circulation on one side, hard to know for certain yet. After rinsing out I was ready to plant. I’m testing lettuce, basil and parsley to begin with as I wanted crops which I can keep harvesting from rather than to plant out or use once. The light is on an auto timer so ideally you need to start at the right time or switch off and start again so that it coincides the light being on around the same as daylight, not really an issue in an unused room but really you want the plants to get a period of darkness. The pump is quiet, and I expect it will be very quiet once some roots have grown. The pump runs for 30mins on and 30 off all the time or you can have this operate only for half the day – but its very unlikely to keep you awake even in the same room.

I like the water level bubble so you can easily see when it needs topping up. The light can be moved up or down to accommodate taller plants and with up to 19.4″ this is higher than other similar systems available . Hopefully an end to buying bagged salad leaves and I can harvest what we need so they are always fresh. It would have been nice if it included some information on best crops to grow in a Hydroponic system, but lots of info online if needed. The tray is only 7cm in height, so its likely this will need topping up more often and the roots clearing from the pump more frequently especially given the system can accommodate taller crops, so the roots will be vast and with not a huge amount of space in the tray. I’ve read you can cut back roots by a third without harming the plants so this may need to be done to allow room for the water to circulate.

Is it worth it? Its priced well compared to others about, and has the extra light height. The machine itself needs no additional cost, fixed LED chips so no light bulbs, the only cost is extra sponges and nutrients plus electricity costs which I estimate around 2-3 a month. For those with a place to plant near a sunny window this would be cheaper but over the winter months, the chances are plants by windows will be leggy and dry out more easily from central heating. Its too early to tell how effective the machine is as my plants haven’t even sprouted yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great if you have no garden or you want salad or herbs over winte

I am thrilled to have this hydroponics herb garden. We use a lot of herbs in our cooking and so I hope that this will give us a plentiful supply. This allows twelve plants to grow at the same time. It doesn’t take long to set up and you have everything you need included including the plant food, water level indicator, sponges and little hats to put over them for the first stages.

There are two modes – one for herbs and vegetables, and the other for fruit and flowers. Once it is set up and you have placed the seeds (which of course you need to buy separately) you simply press power and then the button for whether you are growing vegetables or flowers.

After that you need to keep an eye on the water level and top it up as required. As the plants grow you can extend the hight of the light panel to give your plants plenty of room, and if they outgrow even that it is easy to take them out and to plant them outside.

I am really impressed with the build quality. It looks and feels like a really good quality piece of kit. Looking forward now to eating our first home grown herbs in few weeks!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNow that it’s getting a bit cooler I needed this hydroponic system to continue to grow my herbs and small toms throughout the year.

I can see why it is priced as it is. It is very well made and good quality. It also includes everything you need to get started. I especially like the automatic water system which almost looks after the plants itself, you just need to remember to check the water levels a couple of times a week.

The system can accommodate plants up to the height of 19+ “which is more than enough for the type of things I am growing in it. But can be adjusted to a lower level when your plants aren’t very tall to ensure they get the correct amount of light ratio. Once or if your plants get too tall they can be transplanted into a larger pot and put outside, weather allowing. I have other grow lights so if need be I will re pot and use my alternate light

This particular hydroponic system can accommodate up to 12 pods at any given time. There are 80 LED lights with a full spectrum 36 wattage, which don’t use a lot of energy,

The system is not overly large and slotted very nicely on my work surface in the corner of my kitchen.

Looks aesthetically pleasing so doesn’t look out of place in my kitchen and so easy to assemble (instructions included)

Great for a project for kids to watch how to grow their own as well as for keen gardeners

I hope you found this review helpful

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great project for me to grow indoor vegetables on my kitchen window sill and getting the daily pleasure from watching the plants grow and mature for picking , it is without using soil and is self watering and fully automatic . To have fresh herbs at my fingertips all the year round is a nice feeling , the whole setup is easy and when the plants start growing taller just adjust the LED light pole and its height allows the growing of a better variety of plants . Seemingly growing plants in this nutrient water is five times faster than in soil . This kit has a water circulation system which increases the oxygen in the water and with the LED lighting combines to grow plants successfully . For the ease of growing these plants indoors and using this 12pod Hydroponic system to grow herbs etc it is well worth the initial cost for anyone setting up I think . I will update this review at a later date when I see progress .

5.0 out of 5 stars A great project for a budding gardener to do indoors

I’ve had these before but this is the best one so far, the quality is fantastic and the colour goes with our kitchen so that’s a bonus. These are very easy to use and the LEDs mean not a lot of energy used. This one is price at 70 and when you open the box take it out and start using it you will see why, I think it’s a really price and definitely recommend this one.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI thought this would be a good way to grow water cress. It did grow but it was very thin with tiny leaves, more like the micro herbs you see on TV. I was really disappointed.
However, I have been contacted by the customer service department. They have given me further advice on growing and have been very helpful.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA great kit overall. Accessories included, when other kits are additions. So worth the money. Am waiting on response from seller re vigorous water pump, but aside from that minor problem, there is no disturbing sounds from pump. Finding the whole process of this particular pod system soothing. Watching my plants grow successfully is quite an experience given my lack of green fingers. Money well spent, especially with discount.
