So far, this charger is well worth the reasonable price I paid.
The charger has two light on red and green, red means its charging and green when fully charged.
I really like that you can charge it individually if you want, the previous one was limited so couldn’t do that.
Doesn’t take long to charge them, so if i know im going out and need them I put them on charge in the evening and there good to go in the morning.
It does overheat a bit, but nothing to worry about.
They also last much longer on a charge than conventional batteries do.
The set comes with USB cable and 4 AA batteries.
I think its a good set, especially for gaming people as they can be rechargeable in no time.

Surprised with the quality of this item, wellbuilt, charge quite fast and convenient. You have everything you need and just under 25 pound I think it’s a good bargain. I could charge my other batteries as well and as good as the new ones that comes with i
High capacity battery. Love the idea that you can charge batteries individually. I use mine for the wall clocks so very ideal rather than waiting for a pai before being able to charge them. Happy with the purchase.
This set was a good price when compared to others available at the time but I still hesitated about spending so much for 4 batteries.
I have a pile of Eneloop AA batteries but unfortunately, the voltage from them is too low for some of my gadgets. In particular, a photographic flash controller would always show only one bar left on fully charged Eneloops. These batteries immediately registered as having a full charge in my flash controller, so I’m delighted!
Highly recommended.
Expensive at almost 30, this battery recharging pack is convenient and works well for AA or AAA batteries that i use most often.
This compact battery charger arrives with 4 X AA batteries and has a usb lead. It is a good size and seems well made. You can recharge AA and AAA batteries but I am only using it for the batteries which it came with. These batteries have a good power to them so last long and when recharging it doesn’t take long and this is shown by a red light turning to a green light on the charger. Overall it is a brilliant charger but does seem on the expensive side. Highly recommend.
Has a USB C socket in the charger, and comes with a USB-C to USB standard cable. I was surprised by the quality of the charger. Charging time is quite short and batteries last for quite a long time too. It accepts any mix of AA and AAA sizes. Rechargeable batteries often disappoint, both in capacity promised, and ability to hold their charge but these were great batteries. Recommend i
I purchased this for my son’s Xbox controller. It’s great so far. Only used it a couple of times so far. So I don’t know how long it will last.
So far, an excellent buy. I cannot comment on battery degradation since it is too soon after purchase. However, setting up and getting the batteries charged is really simple. The batteries also seem to charge fast.
Please make sure you have rechargeable batteries before attempting! I stupidly tried on non rechargeable and was thinking it does not work lol. However once i got my hand on rechargeable double AA and AAA it was working perfect and charging incredibly fast. Small price to pay now but you will save on future purchases of batteries + it will be great for the planet. I hope my review was helpful
Most rechargeable batteries are 1.2 V, these are 1.5 V. They are high capacity too. The only thing to be ware of is that you need to use the charger that comes with them or another charger that is lithium ion compatible.
A handy set of a charger plus four AA rechargable batteries. The compact charger can handle AAA batteries too, and I have tested it on a variety a rechargeable battery brands, and both sizes, and everything works well.
All good.
I like rechargeable batteries more than the conventional ones that need to be recycled.
I have a few items at home that they need batteries and sometimes it is very annoying when you need them and you didn’t have any at home.
These rechargeable batteries are great and the charger is compact and works really well plus it is very easy to use I totally recommend it.
Having reviewed many devices that enjoy the benefits of lithium-ion batteries, whether built-in or removable, I was beginning to consider anything that required AA cells to be outdated and slightly inconvenient. The small capacity and consequent need for frequent removal and charging or changing of NiMH cells makes them seem inferior in comparison, and disposable batteries like alkalines can get expensive, and are wasteful. Some of the trail cameras I have been testing take or require eight AA batteries. So I was delighted to be able to assess these AA batteries with Li-ion technology. They produce 1.5 volts, the same as other AA batteries nominally do (rechargeables are actually less than that), but charge at 5volts in their special charger. Chargers and batteries are therefore not interchangeable, but the batteries can be used to power any device that takes AA cells. The compact fast (two hours) charger has blue charging lights, and is clearly marked in several places to warn of the danger of putting any other batteries in it. Likewise, if you put these Lithium batteries in a NiHM/NiCd charger, they won’t work. I haven’t tried it, but I imagine the batteries just won’t charge on 1.5volts, and most smart chargers probably would reject them anyway.
Once charged, the batteries offer all of the benefits of lithium. They produce a full 1.5 volts, don’t lose charge quickly, have a greater capacity, and shouldn’t suffer from the memory effects associated with the older technology. I think they might have a longer service life as well, and are lighter to boot. I have been using them in a motion sensor wall light, and they are lasting much longer between chargers than the NiMhs they replace. Probably at least twice as long. The stated capacity of each cell is 3500mWh, which I can believe. Most NiMh batteries are claimed to have capacities in the 800-2800 mAh range. The Powerowl batteries I had in the light previously are rated 2800mAh at 1.2V, or 3360mWh, which is similar to these batteries. These are newer, though. Finally, some rechargeable batteries can be slightly oversized, which may cause problems in some devices. I haven’t had any issues with these so far.
We already use a lot of rechargeable AA and AAA batteries in our house but needed more as they are so popular.
The desktop intelligent battery charger unit is nice and compact. It’s well built and comes with a USB C connection. The charging time is also pretty decent.
The batteries last a long time with an impressive 3500mWh of power.
This is a good product at a great price.
Rechargeable battery unit with 4 x AA rechargeable batteries.
The indicator above the batteries whilst charging will illuminate Red.
When fully charged it will illuminate Green.
This charger will also charge 4 x AAA rechargeable batteries (Not included).
It took around 3 hours to fully charge the AA batteries.
Up to quite recently, most rechargeable AA batteries were either Ni-Cd or Ni-MH and only offered a 1.2V output rather than the expected 1.5V. This could cause problems with some devices as they would consider the batteries to be exhausted when they weren’t. There were other problems associated with them in the form of memory and leakage. You needed to cycle the batteries from fully charged down to empty, or you could lose charge capacity. Also, these batteries suffered with leakage where the charge depletes even when not being used.
Nowadays, we have lithium-ion batteries which have a much greater charge capacity, and they don’t suffer with the memory problems and also have a very slow leakage time. The problem up to now has been that lithium-ion battery cells have a default output of 3.7V, so special circuitry built into the battery has to be included to bring the output voltage down to 1.5V.
This set of four AA batteries with charger arrives in a rather plain cardboard box. At first glance the batteries look like any other AA batteries and the charger looks like any other AA battery charger. However, they are totally different and can only be used in combination with each other. Do not try to charge other batteries in this charger or use this charger to charge other types of rechargeable batteries.
It’s when you put the batteries into the charger and switch on that you can see that these are special batteries as they have a blue light built into them to indicate that they are charging. Likewise, the charger itself also has individual lights showing charge status of each battery.
There’s a USB lead in the box for powering the charger, but you need to supply a USB power source to plug the other end into.
The batteries have a rated capacity of 2500mWh which roughly translates to 2333mAh which is quite high for such a small battery.
Overall, excellent AA battery and charger set. I hope that helps.
Good quality rechargeable batteries. Easy to use charger. Very user friendly. Reasonably priced at 19.99
We use a lot of batteries in our household,so we’re always looking for longer lasting re-chargeable AAs or AAAs.
The Hixon desktop battery charger is compact, well built and with its USB C connection can be charged at home or on the move.
With a power on light, and 2 charging indicators showing red or green, based on battery status, it’s extremely easy to use.
The batteries seem to have what I consider to be quite a considerable amount of power. With an output of 3500mWh, these batteries exceed the capacity of my other rechargeable batteries, 2900mWh, by about 25% so I am hoping for good usage in my digital camera.
Let’s wait and see. Delivery was prompt, and through the Amazon Vine program. Currently priced at 28.99 but with a 10% voucher off, I think this is a good price for such high capacity AA batteries and an intelligent USB charger.
I will post an update if required, about the actual real world usage of these batteries, but for now, based on my initial experience, I recommend this product and award 5*.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
Best regards.
Can take both AA and AAA sized rechargeables* – you get 4 x AA with it, along with a plastic carry case for them. The charger itself has a USB C charging slot (kudos for that and not using a USB micro) plus a short USB A to USB C cable included. The charger has a power on light plus four individual lights, one for each charging slot, which are red when charging and turn green when that battery is fully charged.
*Note that the batteries included are lithium ion, which charge faster than NiMH (there are various other pros and cons which are worth familiarising yourself with) – this pretty much compels you to buy li-ion if you want other batteries to use with this charger, as it’s not a good idea to mix and match the battery and charger types.
Firstly, this is a nice, compact battery charger. It fits both of the most common types of household battery: AA and AAA. You even get four AA batteries to start you off.
The charger works (you’ll need to provide your own socket adapter, as you only get a USBC-USB cable). The batteries work well, and last a reasonable length of time.
The kicker is that there are different types of rechargeable battery: lithium ion ones (Li-ion) and nickel-based ones (e.g. Ni-MH). You should not use chargers for Li-ion batteries to charge nickel-based batteries; it may damage the battery or even catch fire.
So, before buying this charger, check what kind of rechargeable batteries you have, if you already have some. And if you haven’t, bear in mind that you should only buy Li-ion batteries in future.
It would have been good if the product information page made this information more prominent, just in case anyone isn’t completely conversant with battery chemistry (but probably everybody knows all about it).
INCLUDES 4 x AA LI-ION BATTERIES.
The great idea with this is that rather than have separate slots for AA and AAA batteries, the AA sized channels in the charger have spring-loaded negative plates which are pushed all the way down to the base of the charger when charging AA batteries, springing back to their default position to charge AAA. (see AA/AAA image).
The included USB C cable allows charging from a power bank, mobile phone charger, laptop etc. Whilst charging, each slot has a red LED above it and the whole unit is suffused by a rather lovely blue glow, once the batteries are fully charged, the LED’s change to green and the blue backlight goes out.
The charging unit measure just 75 x 75mm (width x height) and 30mm (depth) making it only slightly larger (for reference) than a retractable tape measure. Charging from empty takes approx 2 hours.
Sturdy, compact and very easy to use.
One great set of batteries with high capacity @ 3500 mWh and 1.5V.
And it does have a higher voltage than my existing rechargeable batteries.
The charger is also compact, you can have both AAA and AA at the same time – however, it did labelled to be used with same brand batteries.
Tried these on the Blink cameras but the “REPLACE” still visible.
Great price for Prime, double discount making it just over 16 for 4 batteries and charger.
Newer battery technology is great as the same size batteries hold a lot more power.
This charger comes with 4 lithium AA batteries with high capacity and work very well but the charger cannot be used to charge old style NiMH batteries.
USB C is very welcome and the lights make it super easy to see when the batteries are charged.
Good but maybe a little expensive for 4 batteries and a charger.
I’m not really keen on electrical items when some batteries are required because they can be expensive. However, with this set of Battery Charger for AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries they can be recharged. which I believe is more environmental friendly.
28.99 is about avarage.
This battery charger comes wth a pack of 4 rechargeable batteries. One great thing is that the charger has a USB C socket instead of the more usual Euro mains cable, so that means it’s one less plug to tie up when you’re away on holidays, and one less cable to be carrying around.
The batteries themselves charged very quickly and have been working very happily in our Amazon wall clock for several weeks now.
I’m very happy with this pack and can recoemmend it to anybody
The following is a review of the Hixon Store band AA and AAA size Battery Charger. It comes in a cardboard box with a set of instructions, a small battery charging lead – USB plug – plus a set of 4 AA size 3500Wh batteries that are supplied in a designated ‘see-through’ plastic storage case – brilliant for keeping them safely in the camera bag 🙂 This is quoted as being a 2A fast charging device covering both AA and AAA size batteries. I initially loaded the supplied AA size batteries in and left it to it – allowing for the fact they had some power in them anyway, they reached full charge in less than a hour. There is a basic array of four status LED’s – Red is charging, Green is charging complete and a Flashing Red means there is an error (I have so far not seen this – thankfully!). So far the batteries are performing as good as my usual set in my camera flashgun and basically shot for shot, the LCD status bar on the flash is showing this to be the case. With batteries it’s a case of ‘time will tell’ as they get used more often, so if there is any problems I will report back but so far I’m impressed.
AA AAA Battery Charger for AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries
A good compact sized battery charger suitable for AA and AAA sizes, the included 4 x AA batteries are of a 2333mAh capacity at 1.5V, perfect for my DAB radio as most rechargeable batteries are of a 1.2V variety and my radio won’t switch on with them, however it will work with these batteries, very happy to recommend.
Packaging and delivery
This comes supplied in a compact cardboard box, the batteries are stored in their plastic storage box beneath the battery charger.
Package contents
1 x Battery charger
4 x AA li-ion rechargeable batteries
1 x Storage case for batteries
1 x Very short USB-C charging cable
1 x User manual
Setup
The supplied batteries don’t come fully charged and just need charging up for about an hour, I used a 100W USB-C wall charger and my own USB-C charging cable with this battery charger.
Function and quality
High capacity 1.5V batteries can be rather expensive so for 18 and a charger this is a good value set.
The charger is small and compact, made from plastic but to a good standard, the base doesn’t have any non-slip feet, you could place some adhesive silicon feet on yourself if needed. The charging port is of a USB-C standard which is what I prefer, not a fan of micro-USB cables, they’re rather old tech anyway.
The supplied cable is small in length, okay if you’re going to connect this to a computer nearby but for a power supply this would need to be located more or less right next to it thus I opted to use my own cable, as shown in the photo.
Various indicator lights are built into this charger, each battery has it’s own charging status LED, red means charging and this changes to green when complete. A background blue LED will also light up when charging AA batteries, this goes off when complete, for AAA batteries, the blue light will flash slowly.
This charger can except just one battery at a time so you don’t have to have them in pairs. As I mentioned earlier on, these batteries work my DAB radio, the standard AA batteries won’t work due to the voltage of normal rechargeable batteries only having 1.2V, these are 1.5V just like normal alkaline batteries.
The manufacturer states the supplied batteries are 3500mWh, this isn’t the same as mAh which is what you normally see mentioned for battery capacity, to get the true mAh for these batteries I just done the following:
mWh Voltage = mAh So that’s 3500 1.5 = 2333mAh
I’ve already depleted these batteries in my radio and the quoted 2 hour fast charge is more or less accurate but I’m using the maximum possible power input of 5V/2A with my 100W charger, if you just connect the USB cable to a computer port then the charging time will take much longer, probably close to 4 hours.
Conclusion
Very good batteries that work and the charging unit is basic but does the job effectively.
Highly recommended.
Packaging Recyclability
The outer packaging is fully recyclable, the small silicon type bag inside isn’t.
Gifting
I suppose you could give this as a gift, I would be happy to receive it, very useful.

This review is for the AA AAA Battery Charger for AA High-Capacity Rechargeable Batteries,AA Rechargeable Batteries With Charger Set,5V 2A Fast Charging Function (USB Charging Cable Included)
Nice well made rechargeable battery set. Good quality and works as required. Charges fast and the batteries last a lot longer that other rechargeable batteries. Great product would recommend
