Needed a lighter daysack for the motorbike, seems well made and looks like it’ll hold up well in a shower, yet to be tested, haven’t had it long enough to comment on durability but I like the compartments and two drink holders on the sides so I have room for a drink and in the other drink holder I put my bike lock because if I fall off I’d rather it didn’t jab in my back. Also has some reflective strips on the shoulder straps which is always good on the road. Haven’t had a long journey in it but it does seem pretty comftorble to wear.
Only used it once, so a little early to say much. And that once wasn’t in wet conditions, so cannot review it’s waterproofness, which is what I brought it for.
Initial signs are good; fabric feels hard wearing, comfortable and enough space inside for a day hike.
Also, has zip pockets on the outside for securing items, (compass, keys etc) which I wanted and 2 waterbottle net pockets on the outside which are easy to use.
Overall, hopefully
Very pleased with the backpack. Ideal size for a day trek. Very comfortable. I particularly like the fact that it is quite tall for its size – I am quite tall and this sits well on my back. Feels good quality for the money. Overall very pleased.
Bought this to take on the slopes to carry spare clothes and food/ drinks for family and it was great. Very comfortable to carry whether it was full or not, great capacity without looking too bulky. Lots of different compartments which was really helpful. Great value for money and would def recommend
My new go-to for light camping and cycle commuting. Plenty of space for kit, and pockets for maps, laptops and a pouch for stuff you need to get to quickly
My wife bought this for me as a replacement for an old rucksack I’d been using for years to carry the shopping in. It’s the same size as my old one, but after all that time, the stitching gave way, hence the need for a replacement. This is comfortable to wear, seems sturdy enough and is quite lightweight – I don’t even know I’ve got it on when it’s empty, but will quite happily carry our milk, bread and other sundries when returning from a shopping trip. Also works well with my bicycle.
Nice fit a bit smaller than expected ok for laptop or tablet, box of cornflakes and a bottle of milk and it was full, as I ride a motorcycle needed something a bit larger than this but ok for water proofs etc as long as its not for doing a large shop your ok
I brought this as my son needed a big bag for school it has more than enough room for fit his coat and books and is comfortable to carry around he says
It’s made with durable material. It’s firm and sturdy. There are enough pockets for different purpose. The shoulder straps are soft and wide, which is very comfortable to wear it. Don’t miss out this one. Try it.
This is a really good day pack – I’ve not used it for hiking but rather family days out where there’s jumpers, coats, toys, devices/tablets, drinks, food, all sorts. It’s a reasonable size without being too big, but the best thing is it’s comfortable. It’s no discomfort to have this on your back all day so for that above all else I recommend it.
I have been impressed with this bag when used on day walks as its very well made, does an excellent job of keeping items and clothes dry when used and its comfortable to wear too. The straps are easy to adjust and very well padded so that even after a full day’s use with some heavy items they did not “dig in” to my shoulders or cause any discomfort. The chest and waist support straps are the same – easy to adjust, good size and gives decent extra support. The straps are easy to adjust too and its not at all difficult to find the optimum fit for the bag. The bag itself has a decent capacity at 30 litres and its perfect for stoing extra layers, lunch, thermos and first aid kit when on days walks. The bag also has3 extra zipped pockets to store coins, keys, compasses and maps – a feature I liked a lot. In terms of waterproofness, it also performs very well and kept all the items dry following a sharp deluge of rain when out walking with it. While the rain passed quickly, I am not toally sure on how this would peform in a full day of persistent drizzle at it is bound to reach its saturation point at some time. I think it would do well is my own view, based on using similar bags to this in the past, However this was not tested by the time of this review.
For the price, this is a simple, stylish and good quality day bag that I feel totally justifies the RRP. Recommended!
This is a great, lightweight rucksack which is perfect for long walks, hikes, even nights away.
It has plenty of pockets and durable zips all over. I love that it’s waterproof and clearly well made despite it not being from a well known brand.
If you’re looking for a light, practical and durable rucksack you won’t go far wrong with this one
First off for reference with my included photos, I’m 5’10.
The bag looks pretty nice and as advertised but was slightly smaller than I was expecting in depth.
The bag has one main compartment separated buy a cushioned divider (which also has a pocket built in that continues to the bottom of the bag). There are 2 small zipped compartments on the front section – one at the top and one on the front. Each of the two side netted pockets can fit a 1 litre steel flask in.
The padding on the back is generous and comfortable. Definitely does its job of protecting your back against the contents inside. However there is no padding at all on the bottom of this bag. So be careful when you put it down if there’s anything fragile inside.
The shoulder straps are padded and comfortable but once adjusted to the correct fit are really unnecessarily long. I can’t imagine anyone would require that much adjustment which means you have extremely long ends which need to be tucked away.
The chest straps work fine and can be removed. However the waist straps cannot. Id really have preferred an option to take them off.
Other than those minor annoyances I’m happy with how the bag has performed.
When this bag arrived I was shocked at just how light it was, I have several “Day packs”, all from bigger more expensive brands, and other than the smallest which doesn’t have any back padding etc, this is lighter than them all.
Ok, its not a big brand!, but what does that mean, nothing as far as I can tell.
A few years ago I had a motorbike crash, which left me with a spine injury, so a comfortable bag is very important for me, and this bag does “IS” it fits the bill.
There’s some good padding on the rear section that sits well against your back, theres also a semi-rigid, sheet that runs the length of the bag, which helps it sit nice and comfortably. I took this bag for a walk into town and as “luck”would have it, it started raining, HEAVILY(thunderstorm, some luck), but what it did give me a chance to do, was see how waterproof it actually was, and I have to say it didn’t disappoint.
I collected and brought several things whilst in town, so when I got home it was easy to tell that nothing had got wet, even the bits I’d put in the smaller compartments which was impressive. As I said it has a (light weight plastic)sheet that runs the length of the back which helps with rigidity, but I also realised it was providing a decent barrier preventing anything I was carrying from digging into my back, which for me is a big big bonus.
It seems quite well made, everything has clean and seemingly strong stitching. I have it in black which looks good, it has various reflective pieces added around it, which work very well, aid in visibility for night or low light use. There’s are some pretty good elasticated side pockets that will fit a standard 1ltr water bottle, theres also some D-loops on the amply padded shoulder straps, a waist strap(unpadded) which to be honest I don’t personally use on bags, and a chest strap, which isn’t detachable. I’d say they are decent enough, reasonably strong. Of the 2 smaller pockets, I’d say the front one isn’t really that much use, I mean it will hold something, a phone, a wallet, whatever, but I find the zip located vertically down the middle of the pocket a little less reassuring than I’d like. There’s a standard small top pocket, zips up well and would hold your keys glasses, wallet phone, its a reasonable size, not massive, and not the biggest, but, yet again, the stuff I did have in there stayed dry when I was caught in the thunder storm using it. There’s also a Laptop/Tablet pocket in the usual place, with a little padding and another smaller pouch attached to it. Both are serviceable and held down by a Velcro strap which seems quite strong.
So, my final thoughts in this;
Quality. =Good
Function. =V Good
Usefulness. =V Good (From a day out walking, to a day at school)
Value. =Ok (not cheap, but well made, seemingly good quality material)
Would I recommend this?, YES, it’s very comfortable and has decent utility.
Quality, in terms of the materials and the manufacturing. I’ve searched this thing and not noticed any lose threads or odd seams or indeed any bits that haven’t been made ‘quite right’.
The design is absolutely excellent. I use rucksacks a lot. Usually of this sort of size. This one pleases me because it doesn’t try to dazzle with do-dads and needless farce. Don’t get me wrong, it’s got it all (that I want). It’s well padded and sensibly so.
There are two small compartments on the front. Just right for your keys, pens and other bits (I’ve dedicated one to wipes, tissues and such.).
There is one, capacious, main compartment. At the back of which is a, nicely padded, laptop ‘slot’. About 32cm high by 26cm wide and 2cm deep. On the front of this is a smaller slot, again padded but not so generously, about 23cm high by 19.5cm wide. A Velcro strap acts to contain the things in these slots. Very nice. My iPad goes into the smaller slot very nicely. I’d be happy with it in here although if also carrying three pin plugs (a charger) I’d probably rely on the two layers of padding protecting the larger slot. See pics!
The rucksack is strong, well designed and well made.
It has all the features you see on the big names at three times the price and is just as strong too.
It holds plenty, has a main section and lots of pockets for easy access to your essentials, it’s great for school/ hiking or a quick weekend away.
This backpack offers great value for one that is water resistant and fairly big at 30 litres capacity.
It has lots of features that you find on more expensive bags. It’s decent quality without being top quality. The seams all appear to be secure and stitching is neat and secure. The plastic buckles are sturdy. I found one of the zips to be a little stiff. There is an exterior stash pocket but no zipped security pocket inside the bag.
It’s comfortable to wear, with reasonable padding and airflow, and adjustable straps around your body as well as over the shoulders.
