Great product started to use it today, I can say I’m very impressed with the quality and sound how easy it is to use. User friendly.
This is my second unit, out of all of the products I already own by WUUK. This is just an insight on how well made, sealed and the top quality shock proof the electronics are well made.
I want to provide you with my experience using the Wired Pan and Tilt Cam Pro, which sits in my baby’s bedroom. He plays it with, drops, falls from the top of his bed to the floor probably around 50-80 times now, rolled it down the stairs once and just, literally, just keeps on working. It has never failed, the motor still rotates, pans and tilts, the image is still spot on.
I have to say, sometimes I lose faith and think “ouch, this is it. It’s definitely broken now”. But no, still goes, calibrates and back to normal.
But this cam, it’s completely indestructible by the abuse my son gives it. He is two and approves it!
Good quality, it comes with a tripod mount kid, which can also be mounted on a the wall, screws and plugs provided, the usb-c cable has a good length. You can’t go wrong with it.
Very easy to set up and connect to mobile app on camera. You do need to insert a 32Gb (max storage size) Micro SD card to be able to record and playback the footage.
It isn’t cordless and needs to plug in to the mains via a USB C port on the device (Cable and adapter supplied).
If you mount on the ceiling you can change the picture orientation in the App through 180 degrees.
Really good and clear picture even in the dark when it shows in greyscale… good human motion sensor in complete darkness. Options on app are useful and you can control it from offsite through the App.
Works perfect, detect movement instantly, excellent for the price I absolutely love i
Camera quality is great but we had connection issues. But customer service is excellent.
The picture and audio are very clear and it’s really easy to set up and use. Motion detection is great and helps me keep an eye on my puppy when I’m out.
Mention detection is great I’m using this as a baby monitor as well as in home surveillance and I can assure anyone debating buying one should defiantly purchase
Camera quality and movement very good only downside is it’s connected to the mains and not battery. Would recommend.
This camera is so easy to use and the picture and playback feature are superb I use it for my in house security.
I bought during a Wuuk sale as was looking for something to cover the back, as I already have a Wuuk doorbell.
Set up was very quick and easy (within 60secs)
The picture quality is very good (as is the night vision).
The 2 way sound works well and the camera is easily manoeuvred via the app.
Unlike the doorbell it does not come with any free cloud storage so an SD card will be needed, or subscription to the cloud.
I would recommend this camera
I think its excellent. Good picture looking out of the window to the drive and front door to a well lit area from street lights.
The night vision is turned off as not required and the reflection it caused off the glass would have not helped the image.
SD card storing all the data. Thus happy my data is not being sent to a server half way round the world to be stored in perpetuity.
Working with a couple of pro cams on same app.
Its excellent. Very pleased with this kit and no buyers remorse whatsoeve
If you’re looking for an easy to use camera which doesn’t cost an enormous amount upfront then this will do that for you
The image quality is good though I did find the motion sensing not always on the ball
Away from home a lot.any slight detection of movement .it lets you know instantly.
Quick arrival, easy set up and friendly service. The camera does exactly what we expected and need it to. Would recommend if you’re looking for a good camera range and level on interaction with your pets whilst they are home alone.
Relatively easy to set up, Image quality pretty good. Very good value. So far no issues. Mobile App easy to use..
I bought this to check on my cat.
Great quality pictures, easy to use.
Very pleased.
Great camera- easy to follow set up connected instantly with great motion sensor. Night vision also very clear.
Hardware good. App difficult to log in to when you try to paste in a long secure password.
Much better than the overpriced Ring cameras, great quality footage in the dark with outside lighting. Constant recording is a bonus, though unfortunately clips recorded from that footage can be stuttery with audio and video which is disappointing.
Overall for the price very good and I’d happily try another of their products to add to my CCTV collection.
This camera is brilliant. The picture quality is fantastic and it’s really easy to set up and use. It works seemlessly with its app. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this camera
This camera is easy to set up and works very well. Picture quality is good and it has good extra features. The phone app works well and is also easy to use. Have my camera set up as a dog camera and have found it really useful for checking in on my dogs. Recommended!
Really easy to use and set up. Motion detection can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but this could be due to positioning. Motor noise also triggers the alerting notifications. Picture quality is good and night vision is satisfactory.
The camera is supplied with a USB-C power lead and plug, a mounting kit and easy to follow instructions which helped me get the camera up and running in minutes.
I really like that this WUUK camera uses USB-C for power, it makes much more sense when powering low voltage DC devices rather than having a proprietary plug for each device. It also allows the camera to be powered via a USB powerbank rather than being plugged into the mains which is ideal if you want to site the camera away from power outlets.
In use I found that the camera reliably reconnected to my WiFi after being switched off for some time. I was pleased about this as other cameras I have used have needed to be reset back to factory settings and re-added to the network every time after being switched off.
There is an app which you need to download and install on your phone to setup the camera. From the app you can view the camera remotely (from afar), and control the 360 pan and 115 tilt. Two way audio communication is possible and the microphone is sensitive enough to hear what is going on within the room that the camera is placed, such as a baby crying. The camera’s speaker is loud enough but not of great quality, it sounds a bit harsh. Motion detection and Human detection & tracking can be enabled or disabled via the app but I have not been able to get tracking to work at all – the camera will not track me (or anyone else) and I can move out of the camera’s view without it attempting to pan and keep track of me. I hope this is something that can be fixed via a firmware update. The camera can be put into sleep mode if it is not needed which will save battery if connected to a USB powerbank.
The camera has a microSD card slot which will take up to a 256MB card on which you can snap photos or record video either continuously or by what they call ‘Events’ where you start and stop the recording yourself. There is also a Cloud storage option if you want to pay for it.
Pros: Easy to set up; Excellent picture; Good night vision; Good audio; USB-C powered; Motion initiated recordings to microSD or Cloud; Standard tripod fixing on base of Camera.
Cons: Relatively expensive at it’s RRP of 59.99; Tracking does not work.
This Wuuk security camera is often available for less than it’s RRP and if you can buy it for around 40 or less it’s a good buy. Four stars.
Easy to install, good night vision and sensor motion. App is very easy to understand and navigate, good quality, rotating, small in size. Standard features, good value for money! Would recommend
This was easy to set up with clear instructions in the leaflet enclosed. Setting up the app was equally so.
The camera itself is compact but not invisible. It is restricted to some extent by the fact it has to be plugged in when being used. The cable is just under 2metres long. It has a USB cable which would allow perhaps for a power pack if needing to be placed in a temporary position e.g. if away from home. Helpfully the camera does come with a USB plug so no need to source this separately. For keeping images or video there is need a of a micro SD card (not included) or using the Cloud.
The camera can be placed on a flat surface or for more permanent placement mounted with enclosed fixings. There obviously needs to a clear view of the area you want to see and this is quite extensive with control through the app both left to right and up and down and choices of triggers such as movement.
The audio is helpful in the ability to offer reassurance be this to a dog, baby and possibly even a poorly or immobile adult or child.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of image and the area of the room it covered. All in all a useful small camera but worth comparing with alternatives particularly if being ‘plugged in’ is an issue.
A cheap pan and tilt camera for indoor use with either cloud or local storage via aSD card.
A neat camera that plugs in ( not rechargeable).
Clean and neat looking unit.
Works via an app so some technical knowledge required.
Sends push notifications when triggered or love view.
Useful for checking in on pets or just in general.
This review is for the 4MP Indoor Security Camera, WUUK Pan Tilt Home Security Pet Camera Indoor, Baby Monitor with Camera, Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, Dog Camera, Smart Wi-Fi Camera Works with Alexa & Google, 360 Degree.
A great little camera, well made. Looks a few minutes to setup and connect to my phone. Picture is nice and clear both in the day and night. Lover that you rotate the camera with the app – perfect for 360 view to cover a large area. Audi is slightly delayed as you would expect but is nice and clear. Connected with Alexa so now I can seen the camera picture directly on my bed side echo show.
This is a good camera but a bit too pricey.
Set up, as with most security cameras, is a bit tedious, but this is standard I guess. Camera quality is good, functionality is good. The only thing I could comment is I wish it has a longer cable so I do not need an extension wire to position it in the place I needed it to be. All in all a very good working security cam but just pricey.
Amazing camera. Very clear picture. Night mode is very good and looks like your light is on in the room. Rotation is very smooth and quiet so won’t wake up your baby or dog. Power cable is long enough. Camera software for android is very easy to use and you can operate everything from there. Easy to set up within a few clicks. Highly recommended indoor camera if you have a baby.
Well-made multifunctional camera with all the must have features packed into it. Can be used as a pet camera a baby monitor or as an indoor CCTV/security cam.
The only thing what I found inconvenience for me is the fact that this one is not battery powered and it must be plugged in all the time. Other than this I have not found anything else what it would put me off from buying this again or recommending for others. If the portability is so important for you, I would suggest buying the Y0410 model from this band, that model is wireless.
Please be aware that this camera is only suitable for indoor use, doesn’t have ani IP or IPX rating.
Package contains the camera, a wall plug, power cord, wall mount base and screws. To be honest I have not used the wall mount at all, I just put the camera on the shelf so I can see the entire Livingroom from there.
To get out the most if this camera, you need to download the WOOK app on your mobile, available for both Android and iOS phones. This app will open a tone of features like:
* Real-time Monitoring: remotely monitor your property/pet/baby, watch a live view of your home
* Instant Alerts: the app pushes alarms such as abnormal motion detection or sound detection to your mobile phone.
* Cloud Service: Recordings can be set to be uploaded and stored to the encrypted global Amazon cloud servers automatically and You can access your cloud video history via app anytime, anywhere. This is a paid service.
* Two ways talking so you can say “hi” to your pet
You can link this camera with Google home assistance or with your Alexa, which is superb added extra for this camera. If you have the Amazon echo show it can be used for live stream the picture of this camera and you can watch your baby even if you are in another room.
To be you can buy similar camera for cheaper price, however this one is well made and will last.
Helps you track things at home when you are not there
A tad tricky to install but worth it.
Keep track of your dog easily
I love the look of this thing and feel it’s an excellent deterrent. Streets ahead of the ‘mock’ camera I did have ‘watching’ over my bike. I set it up watching out through the back window some days ago. Now, if someone comes into the backyard this thing records them! IT MOVES ABOUT AND WATCHES YOU! Not only that but I get a notification and can immediately log in and have a look.
Whilst the camera does have night vision I found that it can’t watch out through the window at night. Too much reflection from the window. Perhaps I’ll supplement the security with a PIR light outside.
The movement sensor at medium does not go off in response to the swaying of the washing line. A squirrel in the mid distance didn’t set it off either (I was watching from elsewhere in real time when the squirrel was there). I thoroughly approve of the facility to set the area of a particular view to monitor for movement or humans.
I like the motion and human tracking and event generation (two separate settings). Spots things going on and records them locally or in the cloud. Very useful and very reassuring.
In truth I suppose its quite flexible but I can’t find any option to change the length of time that an ‘event’ is recorded for.
My biggest beef is the set up and in particular the set up of ‘local storage’. I found the instructions lacking. Managed it though.
Local storage is via SD card. Physically putting the card in is a bit tricky but this is not helped by the fact that we are not told which way up it goes. IT GOES FACE DOWN, OK.
THE FORMATING OF THE SD CARD, BEFORE USE, IS AN ISSUE. This turned out to be quite technical. In the small print it says that the file system used by the card MUST BE FAT32. The problem is that whilst the maximum capacity of the compatible card is 256GB the maximum SDHC card size I think is 32GB. I bought SDXC cards (128GB). These come with a different file system getting technical enough? I used an online executable file to format the cards, using a laptop and a card reader, with the FAT32 file system. SEE:- Google, ridgecrop for the guiformat facility which is thankfully free.
This is a small camera 110mm tall by 80mm in diameter. With a pan and tilt camera, microphone, Micro SD-Card slot (tilt camera upwards to reveal the slot) speakers and a reset/sync button.
The camera lens tilts up 115 and turns a full 360 giving you more of a viewing area around it, covering all corners. It has built in motion detection and movement tracking, which really does come in handy.
Setting this up to your phone is pretty straightforward and explained in the little booklet which comes in the box. You do have to download the Wuuk app and follow the instructions once installed.
You can have this the right way up or upside down, using the mounting plate screwed to what ever you can screw it too. You can also simply place this on a shelf of table. The limits are almost endless, so to speak.
The image quality is better than I expected, giving a crystal-clear image. The speakers do a great job with the sound being spot on giving you two-way audio
you can store the recordings on an Micro SD-Card or on the cloud, (a cloud account is needed for this)
Apart from the camera you get a usb lead and plug, a bag of screws and fittings and a mounting plate.
In all, a nice little camera which is easy to set up, simple to use and offers great quality sound and vision. Well worth investing in.
This is brilliant the pic quality is remarkable the sound is amazing and the live view is great everything I could want this is perfect even when my husband is at work he can communicate with our kids through this camera it really exceeded my expectations!
The app asks to plug the USB lead into the camera and to press the sync button until the red light turns blue. Providing the camera and phone are close to each other this will happen easily. However, you do need to add an email and password to create an account and then give the camera and app access to your wifi password
As a precaution, I would advise you to connect this to a visitors section of your network, so as to isolate the camera data from all your other personal network data. Once connected and you complete the final steps, the camera is ready to work and send you pictures and video.
Definitely one of the better smart monitoring cameras. The picture quality and 2 two-way sound is excellent, clear and loud enough for anyone to hear. You get the option to use your own sd card to record any action or use the cloud servers.
The camera is compact, solid build and looks good in any decor or environment. You can even mount it on a wall or ceiling with the supplied hanging hardware. The pan and tilt works well, with very little stutter, plus it gives a good picture at night time, although in black and white.
I would be happy to recommend this camera for its sleek design, functionality and ease of use.
I really recommend this as they quality is second to none and the picture is amazing. Its come In hand for us and is used alot already. Definitely grab it whilst you can as it’s a really good produc
This is officially the cutest little camera ever! It looks like a little alien, or a dog, and can either be freestanding or mounted. It needs to be plugged in continually. The App set up was very straightforward, although the instructions in the box were extremely basic. Picture quality is great in the daytime, and once the infra red kicks in- you may need to adjust settings for dusk depending on how dark your room is. The great thing is that you can scan right around the room, pan, tilt and zoom and set your own sound level to pick as much as you need- the microphone is extra sensitive. The two way talk feature is very clear too.
You also get access to the nursery content on the app- record lullabies, or stories and take video and photos, to keep in your online baby journal.
Maybe because of the image storage, the ‘ share to other devices ‘ function isn’t very clear and is time sensitive. My partner wanted me to share the app so they could have access also, and although it was possible in theory, we couldn’t work out how to do it, and instructions were non existent. It may well have been human error, but having set other cameras up with no trouble, I don’t know.
It was very easy to set up the camera. It comes with pre-set voice messages for parcel deliveries and more. The night vision is really cool and the motion sensor sends a notification instantly. Very good image quality for day and night vision. You can move the camera using the app and works with amazon Alexa which is a big plus for me. We use this camera to keep an eye on the baby when she’s playing on the flow and we point the camera towards the door when we leave the house. 100 recommend it!
The Wuuk Wired Pan and Cam Pro camera comes in a neat, well packaged box. Inside the box is the camera, charger plug with a decently long USB C lead that’s detachable, some fixings and mount for attaching to a ceiling, instructions and a sticker for your window to say you have 24 hour camera security!
The camera itself feels decently well made, certainly doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy. It looks good too! Setup is really easy, simply download the Wuuk app, register (you don’t need to give personal details, just an email and password) and press add device. Plug the camera in (recommend you don’t have it in position yet, just use a socket close by) and press and hold the small button on the back. The app the guides you through, you select your WiFi and then a QR code appears on the app, you just point the camera to this and all done!
Once setup I was impressed with the video quality. It is very clear and motion was smooth. It takes a microSD card so if you want to record video you can, or you can record to the Wuuk cloud service. The app is generally nice and easy to use and it will report back if it detects movements etc. It can also track movements automatically, has night vision and also 2 way communication. All very handy!
All in all I think this is a great product. It’s a smart system, its easy to setup, the app is easy to use and controlling the camera is simple. The ability to rotate 360 and tilt up and down makes it really simple to look around when you need to, much better than a static camera. If an indoor camera is something your looking for I can certainly recommend this one!
Update – after testing many different indoor security cameras I decided to buy 2 more of the Wuuk cameras. The wide field of view compared to others plus the general quality of the image and ease of use in the app made this my favourite camera to use. It’s also great value for money especially when it’s on offer!
This indoor security camera is extremely easy to set up and use. It literally took me a couple of minutes and I’m no tech expert!
After downloading the WUUK app and registering an account, you simply plug the camera in using the provided cable and socket, and follow the simple instructions on your ‘phone. It couldn’t be any easier.
Once positioned, the camera is then operated from your phone. There is a simple dashboard on the app and it allows you to move the lens up and down, and to the left and right. It alerts you to any motion if you have authorised notifications to your phone. The sensitivity setting can be changed. I found that the sound of my dog snoring was alerting the system, so I altered the sensitivity setting to medium.
Should you wish to record and store the data, you can either insert an SD card or sign up to cloud storage. Personally, I’m tired of having to sign up to seemingly endless subscriptions, so it is a relief to have a product that does not compel you to do so in order to be in any way useful.
Supplied with the camera is a mounting bracket and the necessary screws. Alternatively, you can just plug the camera in when required and leave it on a table or shelf.
It is absolutely ideal for keeping an eye on your property whilst away, monitoring a baby, or peeking at your pets whilst at work (and speaking to them via the two-way audio function!).
For the price, it is excellent value. I have paid more than twice as much for a home security camera that required a subscription to store videos.
This is the second pan tilt camera I have set up and this one was 20% more expensive than the other brand and not as good.
The camera comes in a good quality box and has some clear instructions, which basically invovels using the QR code to download the app and then follow the instruction on the app. The rest, when it eventually works, is very simple. It is just that it took many iterations of loading a new device before the new device was operational.
So I hope you have a better experience than me: that is a few hours of my life I am never getting back! How can something so simple be so hard to achieve?
When the app tells you to press the sync button on the camera I would wait until you have entered your wifi key and obtained your QR code to start the pairing process. Otherwise, you get a very annoying message repeatedly telling you the unit is ready to scan! But if you follow the app there is another stage to go through before generating the QR code the camera is looking to scan.
I must have tried over 20 times to get the app to pair with the camera. I did ensure my phone was connected to a 2.4Ghz network. I did ensure the network I was seeking was the one in the app. I did check and triple check the wireless key was the right one for that network but all I got was an error message telling me the unit had failed to pair!
You can, it is claimed, get support with pairing issues from the app: this was not forthcoming when I tried. Though to be fair I have since received emails and an assurance they will get the camera connected.
However, I move the camera and phone to a third location, and this time cleared the name of the network that was auto-filled and typed the name of the network. Entered the wireless key, scanned the QR code and pressed to confirm the camera had beeped and to my utter surprise, I got a message confirming the connection! This could have been a much easier operation. On the previous camera I set up, the pairing and control was much less effort though not without some issues!
The picture quality is good as is the angle of view, which is much wider without being distorted, but, and this might just be our network, the picture keeps failing and is often buffering.
There is a feature on the app to carry out a Network Diagnosis. I used this and this reported ‘everything is working correctly’ when it clearly isn’t.
I tried to share the camera with my partner by completing her email address and pressing send. Only to receive a message [on the screen for too short a period to read so had to repeat the process to be able to read the message] that she had to register an account first, but no instructions were provided on how to do this!
While the cheaper camera takes a picture when it detects motion and sends this to the app, this unit does not do that unless you have Cloud storage or an SD card fitted. Though it does have a useful feature of being able to take a snapshot from the app and send it to the photo album on the phone.
Another useful feature was the ‘Quick Reply’ which allows the user to play a preset voice message as well as to make some customised messages.
So now I have it working it is OK, but certainly not better than the cheaper pan tilt camera I have. Though the better field of view, which is not distorted to a fisheye will be useful, just that I will use the cheaper camera for motion detection and have this camera in a location to get a better overall picture.
With a bit of playing around with the app you can find a few features that are useful, but trying to delete the notification of movement detection was a bit of a faff, and though I did delete them I am not sure how!
While this camera is OK overall I think there are others on the market that are better and cheaper.
Edit: I have just increased my rating as their customer service is excellent. They are quick to respond to email and to resolve issues.
This is great. Easy to set up and quality is really good. I have even purchased another one
Good quality camera with full app control , full tilt and pan, and 2 way voice communication.
Very modern styling, and decent image quality.
Comes with mounting bracket to allow many different mounting locations, and handy drilling template to make fitting the bracket quick and easy.
Would recommend
We have a cocker spaniel dog that we like to keep an eye on when we go out. We have previously bought a camera from a different provider but it is a stationary camera and our kitchen opens into our dining room so often we can’t see where the dog is.
Having the ability to move the camera is a real bonus to this product and you can tilt the camera up and down as well as move side to side so this really does meet our needs.
The camera is easy to set up. You download the app and then follow 6 simple instructions to set up. Once this is done, you can access the camera through the app. The video is clear and sharp, and sounds are well-transmitted too.
You can also speak through the camera, which is also clear and a good volume. It only has a second delay so is very much in real time.
The camera is a good size to be discrete and not too obstructive in a room.
There are additional features to add, such as the ability to record or to save the video onto the app.
Really very impressed and highly recommend this camera.
