This is a handy set of hardware for the sail shade I have mounted in my garden. I got this mainly for the turnbuckles and carabiners, although the pad eyes will come in useful for another project I’m sure.

The turnbuckles were a little smaller than I was expecting (see photo, which doesn’t show everything in the pack), so I will have to see if they hold up to the quite large forces from my sail — when the wind blows it catches a lot of air and is going to pull on its mounting quite hard. The turnbuckles seem to work well and will allow me to adjust the sail tension and tighten/loosen things to get a good fit.

The pad eyes come with screws and plugs, although you may need to use different ones depending on what you are attaching it to. The carabiners work fine. I can’t comment on longevity yet, but if anything goes wrong I’ll try to remember to come back here and add a comment. The price at present seemed a little higher than I was expecting, but it says they are stainless, which I wanted for outdoors so they last.
