I bought this purely for when I take my family camping. Charging phones, running lights, powering home comforts, one big power bank seemed like a better idea than multiple small ones. I was unsure if to buy the smaller one and on reflection I definitely could have, because at the end of our first 2-day camp we still had 69% charge and there was never a moment when any of our devices were totally flat. I also took it on another camping weekend with 5 friends, and again nobody had a flat device and we still had 45% charge left when I got home. I wish it had a Qi charging pad under the handle, but apart from that I really can’t fault it.

I have given this a fair test with phones, laptops, etc. and it will charge these over and over with minimal drain on the capacity of this unit.

I would say an improvement would be to have an additional USB C socket as that is slowly becoming the standard.

I also plugged a 500W hair drier into it to test the AC outlet and it held steady.

The unit I received is very quiet with no appreciable fan noise.

Not too heavy and fairly robust casing as advertised.

Using a 65W solar panel I can effectively charge this in 2 days given good sun. A larger 100-120W panel would probably achieve this in a single day. 120W being the maximum input supported.

The built in LCD panel is excellent at providing all the information you’ll need about supply and draw on the battery.

    5 year warranty appreciated!

I purchased this for my daughter, who lives on the canals. This is miles better than a noisy, smelly diesel generator on the towpath. The power bank is solid and feels well made. It is keeping a mobile and an ipad fully charged for a fortnight. The Anker is quick to recharge and was so successful that I purchased a second one for my caravan and to keep my router working at home during power cuts (a frequent experience in rural England). Very pleased with this piece of kit, and it isn’t too heavy to lug around either.

Really handy thing to have, the battery capacity is ideal charging small devices for a week of camping, I use it with a 100w solar panel and it can keep up with a electric cool box too

I’ve used this twice since purchasing it, the first time was for 3 days camping and just using it as a phone charger for a couple of phones. that worked really well, still had 88% Charge on it when we left, was far more convient than carrying a load of battery packs that sometimes say the are charged but often fail.

However I’ve just taken this out again for a 4 day camping trip and for some reason thought it would power a 12v cooler box for a couple of days. (My Fault completely re-reading the spec it can’t) but I thought I’d see how it could do, and from 100% charged it managed 3 hours (My cooler is around 55 watts so thats about right), but it dropped from 18% to 0 instantly. I was relying on that 18% for phone charging. I’ve brought it back home for a bit more testing and I have to say with the Solar Panel on a mediocre sunny day, it is both running my Cooler and charging the unit itself (As long as the Solar panel is in direct sunlight) Future lesson for me is to ensure I always take the Solar panel, I expected maybe a bit too much from this box, but if youlive in a sunny area it can perform well with the Solar panel plugged in (I do however still need to check the 18% – Dead issue)

Received the unit a day before the delivery window. Used the unit for the first time over the weekend to power my RC Car Charger and wasn’t expecting to have 80% charge left after that. I tested charging it from my car’s cigarette lighter socket on my homeward journey and was pleasantly surprised that it was fully charged when I arrived home. Very happy with the unit.

I had a problem with the usb c port so emailed customer support. Was impressed to receive a reply within a couple of hours. In the last week have had 2 further emails with suggestion to solve the problem.
Pleased that I chose the anker over their competitors
