This is brilliant especially if your going away . You can set it up and go away knowing your plants are safe even in a drout. Highly recommended
This is a great product for anyone with plants to water and won’t be around for a few days. Be warned though, the advert doesn’t advise that anyone thinking about using this product will not be be able to refill the water bottles as, when they are turned for refill, the water runs out of the bottom holes inserted to relieve the pressure. So, CUT OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE WATER BOTTLE. This advise is included in the box of water spikes after purchase. Cutting off the bottom of the bottle enables the bottle to be refilled insitu – great! Good value for money too.
I filled my bottles and joined them with nibs. There are no drips and they gradually wet the soil. After struggling for a few days, I learned to use it correctly.
There is an important detail to consider when using these spikes. I recommend making a hole in the bottom of the skewers so that air can get in. In this way, I can water the soil without air.
In general, I can say that it is a practical and great product. I started watering many of my plants this way. In this way, I do not need to carry water every day. If you use it correctly, soil and plant productivity increases.
