This is a very good bbq cover. Material is ok. Not sure about the anti UV claim. There is an additional security at the bottom (an added strap and drawstring) which makes it stay in its place even when it was very windy outside. It comes with a case of the same material which I used to keep my umbrella and raincoat in my backpack, makes my backpack free from wetness!
This fitted our dual barbecue perfectly and it is adjustable so that it keeps it much drier than the old one we have just thrown away which really hadn’t been up to scratch. I can’t comment on how damaged it will get by the sun due to the weather but at the moment I’m really pleased with it!
Not a really thick material but I prefer lightweight as they can be difficult to remove however this item has 2 handy straps you can hold on to to help remove it .I particularly like the other two Velcro straps at the bottom which you can adjust to make it tighter so wind doesn’t blow underneath .There is also a cord but it was quite difficult to pull maybe a cord at each end would be easier to pull but the Velcro straps make up for this ! The stitching seems strong and inside the stitching has a coating which looks as if it helps with waterproofing .Nice handy storage bag yet to put it back in so cannot comment hope it’s big enough ! It dint seem too tightly packed when unpacking it !
Super cover for the BBQ, I can keep is nice clean and dry during the winter and just take is out in the summer. It fits perfectly, it is a good material, seems strong. I am satisfied
Good quality but so much more lightweight than my previous one that I wonder if it will withstand the harsh, windy Scottish winter. Time will tell.
Being completely honest, I didn’t order this with the intention of using it on a barbecue, but it did look like it would be a handy protective cover for some heavy duty garden equipment that I keep outside.
In my case I’m using it to keep the elements off a petrol branch chipper, which happens to have a tall feed chute that sticks up in the air. As shown in the photos, the cover is large enough to protect the entire machine and keep the bad weather at bay.
The cover itself is well made and the seams are internally taped to stop moisture getting through the stitching on the fabric joints. The material itself is okay thickness-wise, not super-thick and not super-flimsy either. The draw chord is a reasonable thickness too, but I struggled to gather the material sufficiently as the chord doesn’t slide well around the entire circumference there’s simply too much friction. This would be much easier with two separate draw chords at opposite sides, each doing half the cover, but I doubt that this would be taken on board by the manufacturer as it would incur greater costs. The current arrangement only gathers the material close to where the chord exits the cover, which isn’t ideal. Also, there’s no strengthening of the material where the chord comes out and I would predict that this will be a weak spot prone to tearing with use.
I’m not sure why they provide a storage bag made from the same material? I would imagine that most people will never put this back in the bag once opened and in use.
The sewn-in handles at each end of the cover are unnecessary in my view, and they will probably rip out if any force is applied to them. The long Velcro tightening straps are a good idea and will help to secure the cover when it’s windy.
So, in my opinion, the manufacturers are selling themselves short by advertising this cover just for barbecues, because it can be used to protect anything outside that happens to fit inside.
How waterproof the fabric continues to be after exposure to hot summers and cold winters remains to be seen, but I’ll update the review in the fullness of time if it doesn’t stand up to the elements.
A great wrap up for winter cover / coat for your bbq or other outdoor equipment.. or anything you need to store medium to long term.
Lined inside, nice quality, pulls and Velcro to tighten.
Comes with a storage pouch when not needed.
Fits my BBQ well and can be adjusted to fit. Feels nice and thick and sturdy too. Seems to be keeping the rain off so far!
Great product, it was easy to install over my grill, my fault I ended up getting the bigger cover, but in this case better to be bigger than smaller in my opinion.
I’m just afraid of the long-term water ending up getting into the seam. But if it’s just a few drops, I am okay with that.
Good quality grill cover with storage pouch .
It has a good water resistance and easy to cover .
Excellent produc
It’s well made good quality BBQ protecting cover. Very easy to put cover on the grill as straps to tighten up at the ends is provided. For Storage small zip bag is also provided. Happy with this cover in such a reasonable price.
This is idea for a BBQ of a slightly wider length, make sure you measure yours to ensure you get the right size.
We have had some downpours since using it and it has not leaked through at all. The velcro fastenings on the sides ensure you can pull it tight enough around the bottom that it should stay in place in high winds. So far it has done, but I will update should its reliability come into question.
Good size waterproof cover. I would rate this as multi use as I use it for the Guinea pig hutch to keep it dry over winter, it does work and protects the wood. I would definitely recommend this for a barbecue or otherwise
I have a barbecue that this is going to cover in the summer when I get the barbecue out of storage, and I will need to protect it against the rain. No matter how corrosion resistant BBQs are, they never last when exposed to the elements, so a cover is essential. The cover has a metallic finish inside, and a drawstring at the bottom to close it around the BBQ legs. The ends of the drawstrings could do with some knots in the cords to stop the spring-loaded fitting from falling off. There are also Velcro straps on the ends that can be used to draw the cover to a more slimline fit if necessary. Looking over the construction, I can’t see any problems, and everything seems to have been put together well. The cover also comes in a storage case, but I will be using this cover all year and always struggle to get this sort of thing back into the cover that it comes in. The cover comes in different sizes, and buying one that is a little more generously fitted makes it easier to apply.
For now, though, during the winter I have a more novel use. This cover also fits over our clothes airer loaded with washing, and if you hook up a dehumidifier inside, it sucks out the moisture from the air underneath that surrounds the clothes. As it is waterproof, the BBQ cover serves to trap the slightly warmer air from the dehumidifier. In theory, the clothes dry quicker indoors and at a fraction of the cost of a tumble dryer.
This is a sizeable BBQ cover that I have used to store my BBQ and accessories but also my fire pit, bar stools and other garden bits and pieces.
The material is nylon and lined with a waterproof inner, seems a little thin but I’ve covered everything with no rips or snags so as long as you are reasonably careful putting it on it seems fine.
It has some Velcro straps that can be used to tighten the cover, and comes with a storage bag when not using the cover.
This will cover all but the biggest trolley style BBQ’s.
Really nice and big cover! It is really big with good straps. It is made with good quality material with good stitching. 🙂 Also it is really waterproof so all you can ask for really.
Reflective material underneath to avoid moisture.Waterproof, hard wearing, bottom can be tidied properly using the cord.Very practical, easy to unfold-fold back.
This cover is well made and seems good quality for the price. It has a carry case which is great for storing it away when not in use. It is a good size and provides ample cover for our gas barbecue. Feels secure with drawstring at the bottom and side straps. Hopefully it will keep our everything dry and ready for the few sunny days that we might get next summer!
