Great head piece but I still find the batteries don’t charge the quest 2 quick enough. It’s the same with all the battery straps I feel .
The head piece is very comfortable though

Makes the Quest 2 actually comfortable to wear, and gives you enough battery power for a decent gaming session.

Very comfortable! Such a difference to the head strap supplied. Can plan for more than 30 minutes now. Great bit a kit. Certainly makes the MQ a better experience. Would recommend!

I bought this for my Son because his other one was making his neck ache, he said it is brilliant you don’t know it’s on your head after a while it’s so light and by accident he fell off his chair and the chair fell on top of it and it didn’t break not even a mark on it, highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had this for BoboVR headset for 3 months now. I use it mainly for sim racing, which means 2-3 hour sessions, maybe 3 times a week. I also do a bit of Alyx, Space Pirate Trainer and the like, but nothing too active.

I held off on this strap for a while, as it is so much money, but I must say I love it now. Thought I’d report on my experience here, for others who aren’t sure.

At first I found that sliding the back pad down gave me an intense headache really quickly, so I had it slid up high on my head. Adjusting the velcro connection to the Quest (front top) seemed to resolve it. I still can’t quite bring myself to believe that it made the difference, but *something* certainly happened. I now don’t get any headaches and can tighten it as much as I like. Maybe my head just got used to it. Either way, it’s fantastically comfy now, and has been since about day 3.

The batteries surprised me. Didn’t think I really needed them. Certainly not two of them. But one way or another I regularly end up swapping them both out during play, so am glad to have two. The other benefit I hadn’t predicted, is that now I only have to charge the batteries, not the Quest itself. That’s just a lot more convenient and means I don’t leave my quest plugged in so have no fear of the dreaded melting charger port, or sunlight damaging the screens.

A couple of weeks ago I tried it without the facial interface. Game changer! The FOV benefit is huge. Feels like I’ve opened my eyes for the first time. The focus sweet spot is also much larger. I had tried it previously on my Rift S and liked the FOV bonus, but it was too uncomfortable. With this strap it’s fine though, as even with the strap on tightly, the Quest doesn’t press against my face,it floats in front with just the the edges resting on my nose, but that isn’t uncomfortable. It’s also much less hot to use. Only works in a relatively dark room though, unless I use the silicon cushion cover to block out light (which works fine but is only resting in place, so is a bit annoying when removing and replacing the Quest).

That’s it. My BoboVR M2 experience. Hope it helps somebody.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe headset is super comfortable and the batteries are fantastic. It all feels really well made. Unfortunately the clasp inside the headset that allows it to be made bigger or smaller is made of a cheap plastic. It’s not strong enough and as soon as I tightened the device, the gear slipped on the track and it would only tighten on one side. I disassembled the headset to see what the issue was, and the gear had slipped off the track. I put it back on but the same thing happened a day later. I’ve tried to repair it a couple of times but sadly the plastic just isn’t strong enough. It’s such a shame as the headset is fantastic other than that.

Update: I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me (a) a replacement headset, and (b) a simple video to fix the issue. The fix worked (requires taking the back piece apart), and the headset has been working fine since. Great produc

Plastic clasp can be an issue (updated with fix)

The best headset you could possibly have, with 2 portable batteries and charger.
Easy to assemble, practical and easy to adjust. Best things is having the batteries behind you, attached by magnets and play without worrying if I will run out of battery. Really worth it and value the money.

Having two batteries and the charging dock is a big plus to this purchase. Although not unbearable, I’ve found that after a while comfort becomes an issue around the back of the head.

I love this headstrap it is incredibly comfortable compared to the stock quest strap and having tried a few others I have not found any as comfy as this one. It is balanced weight and pressure on the head and the batteries are a huge help to my playtime on the quest 2.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis isn’t really a review of the strap (which is good), but of about some useful features of the batteries which aren’t advertised in the description.

    1) the batteries have a USB C port which is primarily there so you can charge the battery, but they can also be used in reverse to charge your phone/other devices. It’s a bit finicky since sometimes my phone tries to charge the battery instead, but I find plugging the usb C cable into the battery first and then the phone seems to work.

    2) You can turn off the battery by double clicking the button. Useful if you want to leave it plugged into the Quest 2 while it’s turned off.

A Must Have if you’re an Avid Quest 2 Gamer. Fitted in minutes – it immediately balances the headset on your head and the battery packs won’t fall off cos the magnets are very strong. Gives you the possibility of unlimited power just by hot swapping the battery. In my opinion it’s well worth the money. Go buy it. You know you want to. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

I’ve only had my quest 2 for about 6 weeks and in the first week I couldn’t use it for more than 20 mins without getting severe headaches (using the stock quest 2 strap).

I read lots of reviews on around 10 different straps and everything kept pointing me towards the bobovr m2 pro if comfort was my main requirement from a strap. So when the m2 plus came out around the same time it was a no-brainer.

It’s probably the most expensive strap available but the included 2x batteries and charge dock make up for that high cost. Plus, as I was hoping, the strap itself is extremely comfortable and I haven’t had a single headache from playing VR since switching to the m2.

Plenty of reviews have said how comfortable the m2 is and they’re right. It’s a totally different experience compared to using the stock strap. Plus the counterbalance effect of the battery helps even more with comfort.

The batteries themselves do a good job of keeping the quest fully charged or close to it (if playing a graphically intensive game etc). Us they work great as power packs so you can charge phones etc from them. Great for camping etc.

As I’ve said, this isn’t a cheap strap, but for me it was worth every penny to be able to use my quest for hours on end without getting a headache. If you’ve been using the stock strap and you’ve been getting head or neck pain, I would definitely recommend you try this strap.

If I had 1 criticism it would be that the hinges can be pretty stiff when it comes to adjustment and getting the perfect fit might take some trial and error. Having said that, once you set it up right it’s amazing for taking the pressure off your neck and face etc.
Even before fine tuning the fit, it felt MUCH better than the stock strap.

1 last note. I was initially using the stock foam facial interface with the m2 plus, and although it was great, it was even better when I replaced the interface with the one that came with the bobovr F2 fan. I’m sure most interfaces will be better than the stock one but the one that came with the f2 really seems like a perfect fit with the m2.

All in all I can definitely recommend the m2 plus, especially if your looking for the most comfortable experience. It’s expensive but worth it especially if you think you can use the extra battery power it comes with.

    Highly recommended 10/10

Went from the M2 Pro, to the M2 Plus. The fact that the back headrest is now not hard plastic but soft plastic than conforms to your head is a huge upgrade. With the M2 Pro I always felt pressure at the back of my head which was better than forehead pressure but not great. With the M2 Plus I think they hit the mark. It’s very well balanced now and I love it.

The battery dock and 2nd battery is great. Though they say it’s ”infinite” play if you keep swapping, that’s kind of true, if you play at 72hz no upscaling. If you play 90hz and upscale it will drain the battery faster and you will lose some charge overtime. But it is more than enough to last all day without having to quit (if you want to).

Very happy with the upgrade even though it was expensive. Products feel high quality though and in the end I think it was worth it.

Easy to put on, fits like a glove, battery packs are satisfying and easy to put on/swap out, charge station is elegant, and the magnet is STRONG. Not too hard to get off, but you’re not gonna accidentally shake this thing off at all. Twin-battery will let you basically play VR for however long you want without worrying about running out – once you’re low on power, swap for the pack sitting on the charger and keep going. When that runs out, just switch again.

The best part that makes this insane value – the packs work as regular battery packs. USB-C at the top charges whatever device you plug into it, meaning you can use it for day-to-day as well. That alone not just makes this the best strap+battery for VR, it’s also the best battery pack set I have in general. THANK YOU!

Finally treated my Quest 2 to this head strap. I already have the comfort facial interface with the fan by bobovr.

This follows on from that in terms of vastly improving what comes with the quest 2. The halo strap feels so comfortable and I see myself spending even more time with the quest 2 now. No longer getting uncomfortable pressure around my face and sinuses.

Adding the rechargeable battery packs as well, means you can spend so much more time doing things you enjoy on the Quest 2. They’re intachangeable as well so once one has died you can swap it out and charge it up with the included dual charger.

The battery packs also ballance out the headset so it’s so that adds to the comfort of the headset.

Over 90 without discount but for the additional function I’d say its well worth it. And you can purchase more batteries if required.

    10/10 BoboVR.

This is a must buy accessory. It’s super comfy, it stops light leak that all other competitor versions I have purchased all suffer from. And the batteries are easy to change even when using it still attached to your head. You can also lift up the vr headset whilst still wearing it to take that much needed sip of a drink or answer the phone. Superb buy, so good I bought 2 for my second headset as well. 2 batteries is also a brilliant addition making this an absolute A* bargain purchase
