I have dyslexia or a similar reading difficulty and I am trying to read
The device is accurate and as per the advertised description. Disappointed though that it does not support Bluetooth. Takes the edge off an otherwise superb product. (I should not have expected Bluetooth would have been standard).
Love this product, was brought for my uncle who finds it hard to read, it does exactly as described (reads out printed texted once scanned with the pen). Only issue is the sound is quite low, however earphones were also supplied so shouldn’t be a problem.
I’m sure my opinion will be better over time as I feel some of the issues are user based.
I feel it’s a bit overpriced, but for the help it gives me I’m not complaining. My Dyslexia makes me quite anxious when confronted with large amounts of reading and this has helped immensely.
My 10yr old found this very straightforward to use. It struggles a little with artistic fonts/close spacing as found in comics, but works very well with all books and newspapers it has been tried on. Instruction manual could be clearer on the set up and what the various settings mean.
This product has been a life saver for me. I’m a dyslexic Law Student and struggle so much with comprehension. This pen has been a life saver for me, scan over the text and it will read out the text on screen, you can get to control the volume (fast or slow) of the text been read out, can also record as well.
The feature that I enjoy is the dictionary, it uses the Collins dictionary and explains what ever word you want to be explained to you.
Given to an adult in their 60’s, with severe dyslexia. I had to help with the initial setup, and after showing them a few times, and multiple tries, they are beginning to get use to holding it and the speed to move the pen. They are so pleased to gain some independence on reading food labels and catalogue text (rather than just relying on pictures for information). The pen is not 100% fool proof, and sometimes can get jumbled as it scans, but persistent is key. Thank you for changing their outlook in life, and allowing them some freedom and insight into the written world.
The pen is a useful tool for my 11 year old grandson who is dyslexic. It’s easy to use and helps with difficult words. He now enjoys reading books much more instead of skipping words and not fully understanding the story.
Highly recommended.
This is a reader pen used to translate the written word to spoken word. Works well once you get used to the speed at which to move pen across word. Great for school pupils. Wouldn’t be suitable for reading a book though!!
The C-Pen Reader is 5 star has an item but being sold for people with low vision I became frustrated because I needed another method to magnify the instructions and to read the tiny letters on the buttons
Therefore it is impossible for me to use
Bought this for mu son, he found it very easy to use, he also has ADHD and with the speaking, he didn’t get as distracted as he usually does. Would definitely recommend.
Bought as present for disabled granddaughter VI dyslexic and sen, was expensive but well worth it has come on leaps and bounds in a week and in confidence no more waiting for people to help great independence aid specially with dictionary feature
I brought this c pen for my dyslexia son to use and he thinks it is amazing and so easy to use. Well worth the money he said he will be using it all the time
Such a amazing piece of technology!
Brilliant for helping my dyslexic son, pricey but worth it, can read french and Spanish, also explains word definitions!!!
Very useful device, my 9y son really likes it. the voice a bit robotic and could benefit from more natural reading of the dictionary with appropriate pauses between 1st meaning, 2nd meaning etc. i wish i had this device myself 20 years ago!
Excellent choice in pen. My daughter to finds it easy to use and it’s helping her understand her school work. Great service too and very fast delivery.
Bought for a 25 year old with dyslexia. It’s proving to be a very useful tool for reading recipes, newspapers, books. Well worth the money. It’s used every day and is making reading so much easier. Highly recommended.
My son has SN and can’t read or write . Taking some getting used to but would highly recommend to anyone . Did have problems setting it up and no one online to help , no number to call just had to keep sending messages. Though I did get a call first thing the next morning . Definitely recommend for anyone struggling with reading
This has been an amazing tool for my son who is dyslexic. I would recommend it over and over. The multiple languages are a huge plus. If you’re dyslexic in your mother tongue, If you’re dyslexic in the others as well.
I bought this pen for my husband who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and struggles with reading. It is perfect and has transformed his life. It is discrete, portable and easy to use. The non robotic voice is easy to listen to. The robust carry case fits easily into a pocket and the headphones mean he can use it anywhere. It works perfectly on all reading matter – newspapers, books and magazines. It is worth every penny and I would thoroughly recommend it.
I brought the C-Pen Reader for my dyslexic son to use during his first year at secondary school. He was a little unsure at first weather or not to take it into a classroom environment where he’d be using it surrounded by his peers. However, once he’d worked out how easy the controls are to use and how discreet it is, it’s now a permanent and essential piece of equipment in his school bag.
As the other reviewers have stated, it will read single words along with full sentences and if forgotten, it’ll hold previous scanned words in its memory. It comes with a protective case and headphones, although if he wishes not to use them, he can adjust the sound of the ‘female voice/reader’ so not to interfere with lessons. It is very comfortable to hold and the colour allows it to camouflage itself amongst other essentials and it will fit neatly into a pencil case. I’ve also looked on-line and seen that he could download other languages to its memory (although please check with the website first as how easy this is I don’t know as his is still in English).
The only downsize for me was the price when I was considering buying it but now after taking the plunge and seeing how it’s helped him transition from primary school, it’s well worth every penny I paid. The purchase has given him piece of mind and he now has his C-Pen to rely upon instead of the awkward embarrassment or time consuming technic of stopping to ask friends or teachers what the text in books or work sheets say.
I have relied on my phone app until now. C-pen has helped no end whilst I study for my A Levels. I’m severely dyslexic so the pen has significantly increased my independent study
The C-Pen Is an amazing aid for me as a dyslexia school student. I have used it for in class and out of school then I’m revising. If you are like me I would say get this Pen.

When it’s set up it’s just the job for me.
This is an awesome device to help someone with dyslexia. It is clear and loud, just a little finicky when it come to placing for accuracy.
It was a present for relative who has dyslexia..they find it helpful

When you get used to using it, how I managed to live without it I will never know.
Not tried all functions yet but so easy too use
Very easy to use, all the ones on market seemed very good valve
Easy to use, I wish I had of known about this before. Highly recommend if thinking about buying this. Makes reading enjoyable

This is a replacement for one my teenage daughter had lost/taken from her bag. It is a great bit of kit for a dyslexic person.
I bought this pen for my disabled brother in law. He cannot read or write and was delighted he could read menus and books with it.

This is very useful. I had one some years ago but it could not be upgraded at that time. This one has a lot more extra features.
