I use these for attaching gear to my backpack, this set are pretty heavy duty and feel very strong. I have them on the front of my pack to attach camera gear too. Recommended.

I’m convinced these carabiner clips have magical powers. Every time I use them, I feel like I’m a superhero scaling a mountain or a spy rappelling down a building- even though I’m just using them to attach things to the pram. They are so sturdy and reliable, I’m confident they could hold up an elephant (although legally, I should clarify I have not actually tested this theory and they won’t). Plus, they add a touch of stylish sophistication to my mundane keychains. I highly recommend these clips to anyone in need of a little adventure in their lives without actually using them to go up a mountai

You might want to check the sizing on these before getting them as I didnt realise these were quite big. As they are bigger than I thought would be I havent yet really had a use for them.. They are well made and very strong and not a bad price for what you get.. They arent overly heavy for the size of them but they will hold a lot of weight.

The non-locking spring snap hook design is easy to use and the 4.7IN size is perfect for attaching to a variety of items. The carabiner clips are ideal for use with dog leads, outdoor camping gear, swings and hammocks. The pack of 2 carabiner clips is a great value for the price and I would recommend them to anyone in need of durable and reliable carabiner hooks.

Carabiner Clips, 316 Stainless Steel Carabiner Clip, Heavy Duty Carabiner Hooks, Keychain Carabiners, Multi-Purpose Spring Snap Hook for Dog Leash, Outdoor Camping, Swing, Hammock by SEPWIK

The product I received was a pack of 2x large carabiner clips.

These are large carabiner clips, 12cm long x 6cm wide (top) x 4cm wide (bottom), opening clip gap 4cm. They are robust/strong clips with a 780lbs load limit.

As to longevity, through use, I am unable to comment as I have only recently received the product. However from first impressions appear well made, strong carabiner clips at a good price (at time of review 16.99) for two large clips.

I have no way of knowing whether these really are capable of holding the full 325kg claimed, but they are massive! I wanted them for a hammock and they work well for that purpose. Happy with them but they are so large that they may have a limited use. Horses for courses I guess.

These items are a garage necessity. But you have to remember they aren’t stamped or marked with any safe working load limitations. Thus they are only used for hanging items from the rafters up to about 10kg.

Looking at other carabiner reviews is making me question my own masculinity! I haven’t measured the magnetism, or inspected whether they’ll carry my weight on Mt Everest, or checked their dimensions. What we have done is use these to hang hammocks and tunnels in our rat cage, which is something that they’re very well suited to.

For a use like ours, these are pretty much going to last forever. They’re easy to wipe clean, can take a serious amount of weight, and easy to open and latch closed. I’m sure there are other applications, but we’re very happy with these for the rats and give them a thumbs up.

These are nice carabiners for general use such as clipping a keyring to a belt loop or attaching something to a rucksack.

Spring closure works well and they seem well made

They are not for safety use, however, so should only be used for non critical applications.

These carabiners are very thick, strong and heavy. I imagine they could take a lot of weight and pull force. I got them for climbing and magnet fishing as they are stainless steel so they should be corrosion resistant and perfect for this, but they could be used for all kinds of things.
They have a strong fastening and I’d trust them to stay shut.
Just be aware that they are very chunky and quite heavy, you wouldn’t want to lug this around on your keys all day.

Using to connect hanging plants to the top of the curtain pole. All good. Probably thicker and heavier duty than we needed for this – but not a problem.

Given the heft of these, I think they could be used for heavier duty purposes including outdoors. As a note on safety – I don’t know if these are suitable for rock climbing or things like that – do check and ensure you get the right product if these were to be used for anything involving personal safety. But for household use, attaching things to rails/polls, etc, all good.

As a Camper with Various Climbing Equipment we needed Something to Help us hook up equipment in Our van, these have been a godsend.
Helping us to secure Down roaps, Hang our boots or help keep things hooked onto the wall mounts out of the way.
We had previously used smaller carabiners to secure but all these had snapped or broken over time.
Deffinatly not recommended for Mountain Climbing, as these are just too secure Equipment to your Belt.

I tested this on a garden swing where I needed new clips to replace a quite rusty pair connecting a swing to the frame. It works well. The narrow end isn’t too narrow that the swing rope wouldn’t fit, but isn’t too wide that it’s loose. The opening spring is quite strong which you would want as you don’t move it often, and it’s fine in wet weather as it’s stainless steel.

I was slight taken aback upon receiving these clips at how big and chunky they were, but I am under no doubt that these will stand the test of time and definitely won’t break, nor will you lose your items clipped to it.

The spring in the clip is on the firm side but this gives me the reassurance that anything I clip to it will remain clipped and won’t get lost. Heavy duty is an understatement.

I got these to use in the motorhome for securing things in the garage. they clip into the D rings and allow bungees and ratchet straps to bew clipped on without having to pass all the strap through. so very easy. the spring on these is nice and strong, unlike some clips. there is a positive lock on them so when they are closed the harder something pulls against the ends the tighter the carabiner spring latch holods…. they are 316 SS. so not likely to rusty in the garage or when the bike comes in wet. i also use them to attach things to bike and to the clips on the sides of the garage… VERY USEFUL

Karabiners are really useful for things that you want to be able to quickly secure or remove.
We’ve had a couple of retractable washing lines over the past few years and the plastic housing on our latest one has just broke, so this time I decided to just use the old metal bracket and line and fix it in place using a karabiner. Although we’ve been buying the retractable lines, it is pretty much left stretched out 99.9% of the time, so this solution makes it easy to fix the line in place, but easy to remove should we need to.

In the pack you get 4 x key-hole shaped Karabiners made from 316 Stainless Steel.
Each one has a simple snap gate that has a nice smooth action and the whole thing does actually feel pretty decent quality. The manufacturer description claims that they have a maximum working load of 540lbs, so can hold a fair bit of weight. They measure approximately 8.7cm in length and 4.5cm at the widest part with a gate opening width of around 1.5cm.

    ***** In The Box *****

    4 x Stainless Steel Karabiners

    ***** Conclusion *****

I’ve been pretty happy with this product from SEPWIK.
Each karabiner appears to be well made and has a surprisingly good feel to it. It can hold a reasonable amount of weight, but I must stress that these should not be used for climbing/high access etc. There are no safety markings or breaking strengths on the product.
I should also note that although the end of the gate is fairly pointy, they are quite well rounded off with no sharp edges, which hasn’t been the case with previous cheap karabiners I’ve used.

They are ideal for general use around the home/garden and great for camping (although an aluminium one would be lighter if you intend to carry them far).

I think the price (which I believe was around 20 before showing as unavailable), is pretty fair considering you get 4 in the pack.

Very sturdy well made pack of 4 carabiners, no screw clasp on these so just a standard spring bar to secure them. These feel very durable and heavy being made of solid stainless steel and should not rust so ideal for indoor or outdoor use. I have many of these and for a quick and simple connector these are the best type of fixing for the job. Unknown what I will use these for yet but they are very useful to have around.

These are good sized Carabiners that for me are to be used for the garden swing chair.

Although listed as 316 stainless steel in the advert and on the small label attached to the plastic packaging, they are not stamped 316. They are however, bright polished and the spring on the closure is snappy.

So for the price, worth a season of use at least.

I’m slowly cutting down large trees in the garden that are precariously placed near fences, walls, and other eye watering obstacles. As a result i’ve been using ropes to make it a very controlled and careful process and these carabiners are an essential.

These carabiners are stainless steel, with a spring loaded “snap in” gate. They are good quality with no sharp edges and the internal edge at each end is flattened and smoothed which is really good as it gives good grip on the line and avoids heat build up. Because these are stainless they’re very strong and can deal with a large amount of stress. They’ll bend rather than break. Beacuse they are stainless they’ll also resist rusting really well.

The gates have a good strength of spring to them so that you can easily snap them onto a line, and when closed there’s no danger of them opening without your say so. The gate arm does have a bit of wobble (maybe 1mm or 2) but it’s nothing concerning and to be honest i ussualy worry more about carabiners with no leeway as they are more likely to break.

I used these for taking down heavy large branches and some trunk sections and they worked a treat.

    Good quality and value. Recommended

These are decent quality and a good size for keyrings.

The quality seems good, sometimes with these the pin for the pivot can be a bit loose which stops them shutting properly.

I’m intending to use one of these to keep my toolbox keys together. Need to be able to keep them together but separate them individually for the separate locks.

If I have something I want to hang loose, and have somewhere to hang it, Carabiner clips will probably be my first choice.
The stainless steel clips are robust and perfect for use indoor or out and will hold a lot of weight. The spring is firm enough to stay in place but easy to open with one finger.
I had no specific application in mind when I ordered these clips but I always like to have a couple at hand at all times. You never know when you’ll need one.

There’s not much to say about these. They’re pretty much what you’d expect from a fairly chunky clip — thicker and larger than the sort of thing you get on a typical rucksack, so suitable for heavier things. But they’re not so huge that you couldn’t use them with a dog lead. I’ve prodded and pulled them and they seem to be properly made and not inclined to fall apart.

  41. LarryDonovan says:

These are OK for domestic uses. I would not probably use for any marine jobs/tasks as the screw lock is not good quality (quite thin and flimsy) so if it seized up from salt water you would struggle to open with tools as will likely deform and make it impossible to open. These are weighty heavy duty stainless steel so feel good quality metal. The spring on the snaplock is strong so should last well, shame they are let down by the screw locks which are nowhere near the quality you would find on a climbing carrabiner as an example. They are quite useful though and would hold a punch bag or rope pulley system of some sorts around the home or seful to have for camping trips. Not suitable for any commercial purposes.

These are very well made and constructed from durable, rust resistant materials. The locking mechanism is sturdy and the spring which allows you to open and then flip the locking part back in place is fitted sturdily into the carabiner housing.

It’s ideal for clipping to your gazebo in order to attach para cord to and then to attach to your fence, stopping it from blowing away in strong winds. This is what I use it for. It’s highly unlikely that you’ll break or even damage these carabiners as they’re very tough.

You can safely add your keys to it knowing that when you’ve correctly rotated the locking part into place, you’ll never have your keys fall off it accidentally, like some other inferior products do.

They’ve got a bit of weight to them which is reassuring as they do feel/look like a quality item.

They are a versatile bit of kit. I use one to clip to my works tool bag so I can secure my spirit level. Obviously they don’t just have to used exclusively for this reason though.

I’d suggest that you can safely use them to attach any belongings to as they’re so we’ll made. The rust resistant nature of them does offer you some peace of mind if you plan to leave them outside in your garden all year round.

The seller offers a worry free warranty with 180 day, no quibble replacement or refund. This is extra peace of mind for me as I know that I can have a free replacement delivered to me in the instance that the spring fails or the carabiner itself breaks, but I would suggest that the mention of it breaking isn’t something that these will do.

The price tag is a little high though. 11.99 with a 5% discount voucher (which Amazon is offering at this time) still puts them at 11.49 for two. I’m pleasently surprised with the overall robustness of these and I can just sense that they won’t let me down and will last for years. For this reason I’ve got to say that they are value for money!

    Feel the weighted quality.

These carabiner clips are certainly heavy duty and sturdy feeling.
I would be completely happy to trust these holding my weight on a swing seat or something in the garden.
As there is no covering screw to the latch, I maybe wouldn’t use it for anything where the latch could be accidently pushed open. That said, the latch feels sturdy and sits nicely so that it doesn’t go too far the wrong way and catch on the outside of the carabiner.
    Good, solid and useful.

These are satisfyingly chunky and weight carabiners, certainly heftier than I was expecting (in a good way). My only very slight reservation is that the pins through the hinge at which the carabiner arm swings don’t look quite so convincing, and I can’t help but wonder how long they will last. These have some weight to them and are well built. Being rated with a workload limit of 540lbs (~245kg) they are perfect for use with cabled gym equipment and a range of gym attachments. Of course they have multiple applications of how they can be used, such as for a hammock or for hanging something which is fairly heavy with appropriate fittings and into something which is structurally sound.

Maybe some people will think it is pricey for the quantity of two but to keep yourself and others safe depending on the application, the cost is very worthwhile. These most definitely aren’t cheap and cheerful carabiners used for water bottles. If you want something like that buy cheaper carabiners. These are for applications where the workload will be way higher and up to the specified limit. It would be complete overkill to used these with a water bottle or clipping something light on to a belt.

I like the positive but not silly strong spring action.

I’m very confident that they are stainless steel although I’m not in a position to scientifically scrutinise the metallurgy.

    They seem quite well made.

Critically speaking I have found some sharp edges and slight burrs. I’ve agonised over the number of stars to give. I will say it still bothers me to take away a star but I don’t like the design and finish, quite, enough for the full five.

These took me a bit by surprise as they were much larger than expected, however in my case this was an advantage. Measuring some 90mm long and 45 wide and constructed of 9mm stainless steel rod they are nothing if not substantial. The knurled locking sleeves turn smoothly on their threads and the hinges operate as they should with a positive spring return. I bought these to terminate the mooring lines on my narrowboat and they are more than up to the job, also as a member of the boating fraternity I’ve handed these around to other boaters who, like me, are equally impressed. I’d certainly recommend.

The minute you take these out of the packet.. You know that they are a heavy duty item.. Solid weight and solidly constructed…
The locking mechanism has a nice clunk to it… Not cheap and flimsy like many other carabiners…
You can trust this to do a good job….
For this price for two they are absolute bargain…..
Plus the assurance that they are heavy duty and very reliable….

A pair of stainless steel carabiner clips. These seem reasonably heavy and well made.

316 Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance – meaning these are good for a raft of outdoor applications, and maritime uses.

    These are a good size; length is 3.54 inches/(approx 9cm) width is 1.58 inches/approx 4cm, and the aperture is 0.51 inches/approx 1cm.

I think given the quality and size, price point is reasonable.

    First impression:
These are some quite large polished carabiners with a locking gate and are about 90mm x 45mm. The 13mm eye of the carabiner is pinched down to just over 10mm, so these carabiners are designed to accept a maximum 10mm rope or other steel ware. The shackle varies in thickness from 8.2mm at the basket to 8.7mm along the spine. This is due in part to the forming process but also as the inner face of the basket and the eye look to have been machined to size and are flattened and carry a few machining marks. There are no certification marks on the spine, but they are rarely carried on non-climbing carabiners. The locking nut is knurled for grip.

    What I liked:
High quality 316 stainless steel. I checked the magnetic field and there is hardly any, which means very little if any work hardening, which I see quite often in 304, and due to 316 steel heat tolerance. This means that the steel is less brittle.
The use of 316 means that this is particularly suited to marine environments where there can be salt corrosion. This steel is particularly corrosion resistant.

Anything I didn’t like so much:
The hinge on the gate is a little loose. If you look at the photos you can see there is a quite a lot of lateral play in the joint.
The locking nut is a loose fit until you lock it into place.
The gate only opens to 13mm because of the locking nut.
There are a few sharp edges here and there to catch unwary fingers. More importantly if you are using this in a marine application you don’t want anything snagging on a rope at all. The issues are not really the gate lock at the nose, which is a little sharp, but some attached swarf from machining the lock into the nose of the shackle. At least the interior of the shackle is relative smooth where ropes might run, if a little too flat for my liking.

    Conclusion:
These are some reasonably good carabiners, albeit a bit rough in places. The marketing claims are all reasonable, although how you would use these as a keyring is beyond me, unless your keys were for the tower of London. The lock works acceptably although you would not want to tighten it too much as you might damage the threads.

    Good stainless steel.

Anything I didn’t like so much:
There are a few sharp edges here and there. If you are using this in a marine setting you don’t want anything snagging of wearing a rope. The problem was really just some attached swarf from machining the lock into the nose of the shackle, and only on one carabiner. At least the interior of the shackle is relatively smooth where ropes might run, if a little too flat for my liking.

    Conclusion:
These are some reasonably good carabiners and good for securing ropes and to pad eyes or other shackles. The lock works acceptably and the gate opens smoothly. I am happy with these but need to knock off some swarf and a few sharp points with a file first.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

    Good stainless steel.
