There were no instructions included and it made it a little confusing when unboxing to try and figure out what you do with all of these parts. The blow torch is a nice kitchen torch which can be used for lots of other things as well so even if your recipient doesn’t use the wood smoker they can find value in this.
Got this out of curiosity, and it has a really nice! I bought a second one to give as a gift and it got a very positive reaction!
I feel like a professional when using it, its an impressive thing to have, its the cherry on top 🙂
Overall: This a nice beginners kit for someone who is interested in smoking cocktails.
Pros:
The kit includes everything you need to transform a simple cocktail into a smoky, aromatic masterpiece. The torch is easy to use and heats up quickly, and the variety of wood chips add a rich, smoky flavor to any drink.
One of the things I love most about this kit is that it’s easy to use. All you have to do is fill the infuser with wood chips, light the torch, and place the infuser over the top of your drink. In just a few minutes, you’ll have a deliciously smoky cocktail that’s sure to impress.
The kit also includes a set of whiskey stones, which are a great addition. They keep your drink cold without watering it down, and they add a touch of sophistication to any cocktail.
Cons:
The amount of smoke this generates isn’t a ton. We have a professional grade smoker gun and it will create enough some for 10 cocktails in 10 seconds. Also with this, you can only do one drink at time which is fine but if you’re with others it going to slow things down.
Overall, I recommend it to anyone looking for a creative and memorable gift.
This makes a nice gift as it is well packaged and has all you should need to smoke a drink, other than the butane to fill the torch. It did not come with directions though, so we haven’t used it yet as we need to find a video or such on how to use it! The tins of wood chips are cute and the torch seems decent. The whiskey stones are a nice touch too. Overall feels like a decent deal at the current $39.99 price point, though directions would make it better!
I am extremely impressed with the quality and versatility of this cocktail smoker. Once you get used to, you can use it every time you want, and it doesn’t feel like a chore.
It gives my whiskey a good smokey flavor (personal taste)
It is the best gift set you can give to fathers/brothers/etc.

It takes a bit of preparation and learning at the beginning. I had to watch multiple videos and tried multiple times until I got to do it right.

I saw a decent amount of posts over the holidays of different smoker kits, which barely had smoke this one is amazing in comparison to all others. So much smoke, confused as to how any reviews say otherwise? Only thing we’re still trying to figure out is how to really allow the flavour to last for the entire drink.

Very good starter kit for beginner drink smokers, comes with everything you need. We like using the apple chips on hardballs (hard cider with cinnamon whiskey). The smell and flavor is fantastic! I LOVE the smell when we’re smoking cocktails. Add a little wow when you have guests over. Easy to do, everyone can smoke their own drinks and choose their own chip flavors to customize drinks and you can literally smoke any drink and play with flavors.
I wrote a review earlier that I wish I could retract. I had two Whisky smoke box’s in to be returned it took the review for this item which was not fair. All the items and the lighter appear to be made reallly nice. I am returning it because its a gift and the box I did not realize was cardboard and cheaply made.
Used this for smoked manhattans last weekend. The kit has all you need for cocktails: 3 flavors of wood chips, a butane burner (shipped empty, BYO butane), a smoking ring that sits over the glass, whiskey stones, and stone and chip utensils. The box was packaged well and would be suitable for gifting over the holidays.
The burner works well, and is somewhat adjustable with the flame. The only issue I have with the set is that the smoke “ring” which sits on top of your cocktail glass is shaped oddly — it has an outer and inner ring that appears to be so the inner ring is in your glass, while the outer ring seals the glass, but the inner ring is just too big a diameter. I couldn’t get it to fit inside of a rocks or pint glass, instead sitting atop the rim of the glass. To be fair, the smoking action still worked in this configuration, but it was for sure an odd arrangement.
Deducted one point for that, but so far, over 2 cocktail nights and 5-6 usages, this is holding up well and doing the job.
This has to be the best value in the cocktail smoker class. The wood chips come in nice tins, the infuser/topper is finished nicely, the scoop and cleaner are included and you get SIX whiskey chilling stones. The hand torch is pretty basic with just on/lock/off and no way to adjust the flame size up or down, but it gets the job done. The outer box is matte finish with gold foil that has an overtly Asian bird on it. I think this kit would do better with a different graphic on the outside that looked less specific to Asia, but that’s a small issue. You get a LOT in this kit to smoke cocktails for not a lot of money. It’s a win.
I got this as a promotion after getting another brand as a promotion. The other brand had a problem with the torch which flamed out on vertical. I wanted to see if that was true of all kits. This one does not have that problem! Plus the flame has four points vice one which does a better job smoking the chips. Bonus was the smoke outlet to the glass is shallower and won’t dip into your drink (unless to the brim). Also, I have wide mouth glasses and this is one of the largest from my research. The instructions were also better than the other brand. My mistake on using this was not following advice and letting the drink sit for a minute with smoke AND stirring it. Too much smoke! You really only need about 15 seconds. But I am really happy with this one compared to the other one.
I was a little disappointed that the box came damaged but that was Amazon’s fault! They threw some other items in without proper padding and that’s what caused the damage. Fortunately, the Smoker kit was well packaged and nothing was damaged.
This comes with several flavors of wood chips to get you started, the torch, some “ice rocks” and cute accessories of tongs, spoon shovel and wire brush.
You will need to provide the butane. All in all this makes for a nice gift for someone that might be interested in trying smoked drinks or just a fun new toy for your bar!
I like this as it adds an element of theatrics and fun to drinking. Although there are no instructions on how to use this included (apart from how to fill the torch with gas) it is fairly self explanatory and there is a video on the product page. The trick is working out how long to leave the smoke in the glass and that is something for the individual to determine for themselves based on taste. I can also see the torch having other uses in the kitchen for adding char and crisping up elements of some foods.
This smoker kit is a nice gift for the whiskey enthusiast or to add a little “pizazz” for your guests. Alcohol and a torch…what could go wrong? Seriously though, the kit components come nicely wrapped in plastic and secured with molded cutouts. The box itself is an average weight cardboard so, while not spectacular, at its price point certainly acceptable. The kit has everything necessary to include whiskey stones, cleaning spoon, tongs and cleaning brush. The smoker itself is made of beechwood and has a smooth shiny finish which adds a little elegance to it. The torch itself has a nice handle and is long enough to feel comfortable in anyone’s hand. Directions are included on how to use the torch safely. There were no instructions on how to actually smoke a drink, but they’re readily available online. I will definitely use it for impressing my children this New Year’s Eve, and am really looking forward using it on foods e.g. deli meats and cheeses to add a little smokey flavor.

This gift set is so cool and unique. This would be great for a secret santa gift for those whisky and cocktail lovers. It comes equipped with a torch and has a variety of extra supplies. The box the product comes in is even high quality along with the torch inside. I would highly recommend this gift set for those looking for something unique.
Great smoker, better than others I have used. The smoker is a little bigger than some of the others so it actually covers all around the top of the glass. Great torch also, Triple Flame. Great selection of wood and to top it all off 6 whiskey stones are also included. This package has it all.
Something you’d likely never use on a regular basis, but great for parties, as everyone wants to try it. Of course, it doesn’t really “smoke” your liquid, but merely adds a layer of smoke atop it within the glass. But the aroma, being innately linked with taste, does impart the impression of an added flavor.
It comes with plenty of the four different wood chips to smoke a lot of drinks, as you don’t need much for each dose, but if you’re having many people over, be advised that they’re going to want to try all four flavors, so you may want to purchase more of them.
And don’t forget a can of butane for the lighter, it doesn’t come with that.
After trying some smoked bourbon cocktails at a restaurant, my husband and I were intrigued and wanted to try it out at home. This is one of two smoking kits I ordered from Amazon. This one is nice because it came with (almost) everything we needed. You will have to go out and buy butane (any big box home improvement store should have it) for the torch. The wood chips are included, the torch, stone cubes, lid, etc … The lid has four small holes for the smoke to go through and float down into the glass. I have seen other smokers with more holes that seem to fill the glass with smoke easier/quicker leading to a better “WOW factor”, however everything else about this kit was great.
Making cocktails with one of these smokers is really fun and novel. We have pulled it our with groups of friends and everyone is always very interested in it. It always makes for a fun evening. It’s amazing how the different woods really do flavor different cocktails differently and it is fun doing taste tests.
Would make a nice gift. I would recommend.

This smoker kit came neatly packed in a nice black cardboard box. It includes everything you need to smoke your next drink except the butane. It includes a well built wooden smoker chimney and lid with a stainless steel fire box (not just a wire mesh screen) with a wide stainless ring on top to protect your wooden smoker chimney from getting burned while lighting the wood chips. The stainless fire box is removable for cleaning with the included steel brush. The kit also includes four different flavored wood chips along with an adorable little shovel (spoon) to put the wood chips into the smoker. There’s also the nice sized black and black stainless look torch that’s easy to use. Then, so your drink doesn’t get watered down, it comes with six whiskey stones and some cute little tongs to pick them up with. This is a great smoker set. We’ve really enjoyed using it. It adds just the right amount of extra flavor to your drink. Everyone should have one. They are so much fun. I’m looking forward to experimenting with it through the holidays with different whiskeys, rums, wine, etc. Oh what fun it is to smoke your whiskey drink tonight!!
An awesome little gift set in a nice presentation box. It has whiskey stones (chill before use), smoker, torch and different kinds of woods to experiment with. Just follow the instructions and it is a lot of fun to experiment with.
If you like BBQ AND scotch, this is for you. This adds a certain something just extra to any drink. Like how a charred barrel adds some flavor depth, this does just that. The wood chips that come with it are some of my meat smoking go-to’s; oak, cherry, and apple… walnut I’m not as familiar with but after trying this out, I’m going to try it on a brisket.
The tools are nice. I especially like the “spoon” that looks a lot like a shovel. The smoking chamber lid is wood and looks classic. The torch took some practice, but I have it down now. The whiskey stones hold a chill from the freezer very well and chill your drink of choice without diluting it with unneeded and unwanted water. Yes, you can have it cold and neat at the same time.
Recommended, and it would make a nice gift as well.
I ordered this for part of my son in laws holiday gift. He loves a good whiskey once in awhile, so I do believe he will enjoy the smoker.
This is a fun unique item. Love the different flavors that come with it so each experience is a change. Read the directions and you’ll have no problems.
