I bought this very fine gravel to use as drainage when planting lavender for a new lavender hedge. I put in 2 handfuls of the gravel which is very fine, before putting in my new lavender plants.
I also intend to use this very fine gravel as a top dressing for my planters. The very fine gravel acts as a deterant to slugs, particularly for my petunias!
