FAQ
1. Why can’t find an SSD hard disk and read/write data?
The newly bought SSD generally needs to be formatted in Disk Management before use. lt is recommended to format in the windows operating system and use NTFS format.
2. Does this come with screws, brackets, or spacers?
Since each case/system may be a little different, our standard retail package only contains the bare drive.
Why the capacity displayed from the PC is smaller than the original capacity?
Actual usable space may be less than the total storage capacity listed due to Deci mal measurement used to represent usable capacity of the SSD.
Actual capacity calculation: Total storage x 0.93.
Factory default setting :1GB=1000MB=1000000KB=1000000000B
Computer system setting_1GB=1024MB=1048576KB=1073741824B
Example: 360GB SSD:Factory capacity: 360x1000x1000x1000=360000000000B. Transfer to PC displayed actual capacity: 360000000000B/1024/1024/1024=335G. Fast calculation: 360Gx0.93=335G

I use this for Vanilla OS (Linux) and have had no issues with it. Definitely better than other budget SSDs I’ve tried. Seems pretty reliable.
Haven’t done alot of gaming, but what I have tried through steam has worked fine.
This SSD has 2 advantages over many other makes of SSD I have used:
1] macOS measures it as 2.05Tb [many drives have a capacity lower than stated]
2] It installed macOS and migrated from an existing drive at the first attempt [macOS seems to resist the process with some drives and take multiple attempts to install / migrate]
I have been using two 1tb drives in my Nas for 6 months now and they are still going strong the drives have not lost any speed health status is still the same as the day I got them I am happy with them
I decided to replace my HDD with a SSD to see if it would improve the boot-up speed of my Linux system. Wow, it’s almost instant now, it’s a vast improvement and no noise from the drive. Very good investment.
I bought this to replace a failed HDD. Very easy to fit into my laptop, it gave the advertised speed too. My laptop is very quick to bit now. Recommended
I was a little skeptical and ordered as a replacement drive for a client’s old (2013) iMac. I copied the ‘old’ drive to the SSD using an external caddy, then installed the SSD and the machine is flying! After a week of use the client messages to say how pleased they are with the new drive. It’s a win win!
Okay it’s not the fastest I’m probably not the best one out there but for the price I think you can’t beat it okay if you’re running this business it wouldn’t be for you but if you’re a Home user just to store or back up some of your photos or files You can’t go wrong with this
I can’t show you a photo of it as it’s tucked away way back behind everything else. You wouldn’t see it if I took a photo either. Hope this helps you
I replaced my old hard drive with this SSD 1T drive and the performance has improved dramatically. My laptop can now be used for gaming. Everything is instant. Very happy with this purchase.
I fit it into my Asus mini PC and started to transfer Tb’s of files from my old drive to this, I really couldn’t believe that the files had copied over it was so fast. Just hope it has a long life.
Install was easy and straightforward. Drive was recognised and OS installed without any prep. All worked first time and my XBOX has since received an update so the boot logo is back.
Xbox generally seems much faster at starting up, downloading and starting games. Have filled it to 85% capacity with no issues so far. It’s been a few weeks and still working well. I hope it lasts.
I’ve used Macrium Reflect to clone an existing 1TB HDD and everything went smooth.
At the end, I’ve used CrystalDiskMark to benchmark it.
Excellent results (see the screenshot): 562MB/s Read and 494MB/s Write (very close to the max specs).
I highly recommend this SSD!
Cloning the drive was easy with the free version of DiskGenius and a cheapo USB enclosure I had lying around. Once installed in the machine, it worked identically—possibly a touch faster than before.
The ThinkPad lives on once more.
After….. This laptop is now on steroids. Speed is incredibly better.
I placed this drive in an external dock and used disk management to initialise it and format it NTFS.
I then used EaseUS ( there are free cloners ) to clone the laptops internal drive to the SSD.
Then it was the scary bit of dismantling the laptop to change drives. This was pretty difficult due to placement of the drive but after watching a YouTube video, sussed it out and placed this drive in. Fitted fantastically perfect.
Booted up to super fast laptop so happy days.
After buying this drive I might consider buying the 169 4TB for my other laptop the drive is that good.
If you install it into a PC or laptop without a partition the Op-system may not recognize the new HDD.
I used a working laptop and a Hard Drive Docking Station, USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External HDD Dock Caddy Reader sold by SSK and dispatched by Amazon. I was able to set up the new SSD partition and format it before installing and all was OK. I noticed from the reviews that some have returned the drives as defective because they were not recognized by the system. Could this have been the reason??
I can recommend this SSD as a good, working and cost effective storage devise from Amazon.
Does the job fine.
Essentially, unlike most other SSD’s that I have purchased over the last few years, it will not auto initialise as a storage device from the box. This is an easy fix if you’re IT literate, but even then you have to look for the device in settings.
Basically, you need to initialise the device, then go into disk management and create a volume. Once this is done the drive works well, and I have no complaints about the value.
happy with it , needed space badly and this was affordable and works with no issues, easy to install over all product feels quiet nice, it’s cheap space but dose what it said on the box, delivery was fast, no damage
only just received this it is far too early to rate a ssd on trial at the moment but it works.
If it lasts, it is great value.
Bought this SSD to store games on works well, no issues, great value
Fantastic, 20 pounds for a 256GB SSD, Amazing. Super easy to install, great for the price, and great value.
I cloned the existing hard drive to this new SSD with Macrium Reflect. You can get a free license for home use.
Very straight forward to use and worked straight away. Laptop boots up much faster and apps are so much more responsive. Stops the wife moaning about how slow her laptop is, so well worth the money.
The hardest bit was getting the laptop apart to change the drives over. Watch out as there are screws nder them rubber feet on some laptops.
But all i all very happy with this purchase
I’m very impressed by this small yet powerful SSD. Very easy to set up and use. This is the perfect upgrade from HDD.
I built lots of computers and before the Asus G750JS yes old but still a very good gaming laptop it took a sata 3 connection to USB to see it in windows 10 format the drive to NTFS then windows sees it. Of course, if your going to clone it will be fantastic, I tested this afterward but once setup reads at 545mbs writes at 525mbs
The best option over buying a new laptop is replacing your old HDD with an SSD like this, So far bootup is less than 1 minute and I can get onto google really quickly for working so it’s well worth the upgrade.
Very pleased
