Works amazingly well pumping up my 7ft sleeping matt lol also I was having problems getting air out to fold the mat up properly when finished camping and this has helped me so much thankyou!
I purchased this after looking at reviews for various pumps. We used it in holiday for inflatables and vacuum pack bags. It worked brilliantly a great buy that will get plenty of use. Very compact and easy to use. Good battery life per charge
Great piece of kit!
I was able to inflate two single air beds and a double airbed in about 10mins and it still had plenty of charge left over.
Very compact and plenty of attachments for a variety of items needing inflated or deflated.
Highly recommend
Great size and weight. None of the adaptors fitted the item I was trying to inflate so it took a little longer to blow up but overall a great little item.
I does not pump my matress to the poi t I lime it but it helps to inflate it. It is also great for starting your bonfire. I like it.
Was looking for a pump that would be able to charge via USB as I wanted to blow up an air mattress when away camping and my car doesn’t have a cigarette socket for the adapter we had for the original pump. This worked perfectly, all the attachments are so handy and can be changed easily to fit different things. It is however, quite loud but if you can deal with the noise it’s a powerful pump even with its small size. I fully charged it before I left to go away and it lasted at least 2/3 days before needing to be charged again. Honestly can’t complain, well worth the money
Best pump!!! I got 2 Therm a Rest sleeping mats and it inflates both very very easy(using the rubber adapter). It is A LOT BETTER AND CHEAPER then the Therm a Rest battery operated pump(had one, paid around 50 for it and sent it back as it is piece of s). Is lightweight and doesn’t need batteries as the other thieves did with their product. And you can use it for an unlimited number of sleeping pads and other things, as it’s got adapters of different sizes and shapes.
My 2x arrived today and having spent 2 hours trying to charge it up with the supplied cable, it didn’t work. Tried different USB power supplies and cables, still nothing. I hoped that Amazon would exchange the defective item, but as it’s a 3rd party seller they can only offer a refund.
The unit got warm while charging up, which is surprising considering it wasn’t actually charging up. I’m slightly concerned that charging up a defective unit could have led to a fire risk.
UPDATE – ordered a 2nd unit and it’s not DOA. Charging was a bit iffy, as the red light is supposed to turn green, but mine turned to orange. Changing my rating from 1 to 4, assuming it last longer than a few goes. Knocking 1 star as the company seriously needs to improve it’s QA to avoid shipping broken goods.
I bought this to take on holiday with us to blow up the kids inflatable pool toys. It’s compact and light but packs a punch. The light is also nice and bright for the kids room at night.
Extremely compact, nice bright colour (orange) lots of adapters. Inflated my sleep mat in around a minute, deflated it really well so I could pack it away properly. Left in bag with sleep mat with birth inflator and deflator adapters left on it to speed things up. Would definitely recommend
I had the Max version for 4 years – a great pump but at 150g a little excessive for blowing my mat up on thru-hikes (has something like 60 inflation) so downsizing to the 100g Tiny Pump 2X made sense. It also means I don’t need to take my Black Diamon Moji light, saving me a further 90g.
Really well made, easy to use, highly recommend.
This little electric pump is great for pumping up the airbed even great for deflating too, it’s light compact comes different connectors even has a torch with different settings too trust me it’s powerful for the size fantastic for people who want to travel light just need to charge it up using USB connection.
Small enough to fit in a coat pocket (or even a trousers pocket at a push), this amazing little device is USB-C chargeable in a couple of hours, has a number of different fittings, and can pump a single size airbed to very firm within four minutes.
The only downside is it’s not quiet – it emits a loud whine like an electric toothbrush whilst running – but so far I can’t fault it at all. I’ve only used it a handful of times so I can’t report on the longevity yet, but on my experience to date buying it is a no-brainer if you want a compact, easy to use and effective pump.
I also have the slightly bigger and more powerful bigger brother of this pump the Flextail Evo. That is a great pump and very powerful for it’s size.
After watching many YouTube videos I decided to downsize my kit and have everything smaller and lighter to do some wild camping along with my hiking instead of only car camping. Part of the shrinkage was this smaller pump. It wasn’t just because it was smaller though but also because, unlike it’s brother, it has a built in light.
Not only does it blow up my mat without a problem it also lights up my tent so I no longer have to take an extra lamp other than my usual head torch so that cuts down on even more weight. It might not be as quick as my other flextail but there isn’t a lot in it.
I would say this is the best small hiking pump out there for power and features and so highly recommend 🙂
Used on a recent camping tip. So small yet very powerful, it inflated the mattress with ease. Such good value I think I will buy a spare one.
This is so handy for blowing things up. I often take my 2 little girls swimming and they’re so impatient to get in the pool so me having to blow up 4 arm bands and 2 rubber rings WAS time consuming. No more though with this little thing! I’m able to leave it on the seat and get ready while it blows the things up.
Its small enough to go into your bag and light enough that you wont notice it.
A lightweight Mini Air Pump and I’m really loving it! It’s great for inflating and deflating ive used it for air bed It’s lightweight at only 0.2 lb and very compact which made it ideal for throwing in a bag for a road trip. The battery is rechargeable via a type C charging cable, and it got the job done each time with no problems. This pump is a great addition to any household and makes inflating and deflating a breeze! Highly recommend!
The USBC rechargeable mini vacuum air pump is a game changer. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to use. I love that it’s rechargeable via USBC, which makes it convenient to power up on the go. It’s perfect for inflating bike tires, pool toys, and more. I’ve used it several times and it’s always performed flawlessly. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a portable and reliable air pump.
The tiny compact mini air pump is a great tool to have on hand. It’s small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, making it easy to bring with you wherever you go. I’ve used it to inflate bike tires and other small items, and it works perfectly every time. It’s also very easy to use, with a simple on/off switch and an easy-to-read pressure gauge. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.
My review is based around the current selling price of 36.99 with 2 vouchers available
Pros:
Lightweight
Portable size (save space)
IP44 ingress rating
Good attachments
Well made
Great quality
Easy to use
Good pressure 4 kiloPascals
Good battery life )dependant on use)
Cons:
Price
Not a power bank (some larger ones are)
I really like that the pump is so small and even fits in a pocket.
This makes everything easier.
It is a tiny pump, but fairly powerful.
The pump is water resistant, which is great.
It has a 1300mAh rechargeable battery, which is great as you don’t need to buy batteries or keep it plugged in.
The battery inside the pump gets charged with a USB Type-C cable that also comes with the pump.
The battery of the pump will probably last long enough to inflate or deflate few small items, but I personally keep a power bank with me and charge it right after use.
There are also 5 air nozzles, instructions and a storage bag.
The pump works great for small items like inflatable rings and small pools.
It will also do the job for bigger items like mattresses/air beds ,but it will take some time.
The pump also has a light on the bottom ,which is fairly bright for its size.
The pump also has a really useful hook and can be hanged in a tent.
Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.
This is the second one of these I have ordered after dropping the first one off a pontoon in Turkey over the summer!
They are really good and I actually found them more use deflating inflatables in order to pack back up in the bag. We can all blow up stuff but deflating is often more tricky.
These work well on inflatables that have wider valves rather than the narrow valves found on cheap inflatables. Too much pressure is lost trying to force it down a thin nozzle. This is true of all pumps even the mains plug in types.
We also use to collapse the vacuum bags to get a bit more space in our luggage when travelling on holiday and works really well for that.
I can recommend them and will look to replace this one when I inevitably drop it off a boat or something.
If you are a camper and like me, suffer from an age driven phobia of the hard ground and hate those foam pads opting for air beds, this is the pump for you. This is the second one I have obtained as they are great.
These little pumps make the tedious job of blowing up your air beds so simple and quick, and compact is the word, all this power in such a small unassuming device and it doubles up as a tent light if required, whats not to love.
Lots of adapters for pretty much any air bed type you can acquire, inflates at a good pace and will also deflate the bed as well, tested on a double air mattress and worked flawlessly. Just be aware that the battery is not the biggest but that is a feature due to its size and compactness but will last you a few inflates/deflates or give you around 10 hours as a tent light/torch. Already used this as an emergency light in my shed and being a metal shed the magnetic nature of this pump allowed it to stick to the wall…thumbs up to that. Absolutely recommend
Honestly I didn’t have high expectations for this little pump until I actually tried it and I was surprised the powerful room it is and useful, it comes with a magnet, the suction is very strong and the light is very powerful, it comes with a bag for that all accessories are kept together so they don’t get lost, you can see that it was very well thought out. The battery has a great lifespan. I loved every detail of this item!
The tiny pump is high quality made excellent brightness Easy to use
Lightweight very compact can be used as a lantern rechargeable has a magnet much prefer this one as the standard plug in one is too loud
Definitely value for money and i highly recommend would make a awesome gif

I said indispensable and I meant it…absolutely recommend
This little pump is easy to use and effective. It’s perfect for travelling. I use it most with vacuum seal bags but it can also be used to inflate items.
The battery life is pretty good and I like that it comes with a little storage bag to keep all the bits and pieces together.
Compared to other similar pumps it is a bit more expensive. But I would still recommend it.
I like this device. I recently had to put away an air mattress. Using this the job was done QUICKLY. Perhaps more important than the speed of the deflation was the emptiness of the inflatable afterwards. It left it FLAT. This really matters. Even a small quantity of air left in can seem a lot when you try to fold the mattress up. I’ve been camping quite a lot and am familiar with the rigmarole of getting everyone together to press on it to squeeze it flat. No more will I struggle because now I can get it flatter and do it quicker with this.
It does whine but it’s not offensive.
Versatile.
I like the light. It’s quite bright. Good in a tent. Most of all I like that this device has a use at more times during a camping holiday. Saves space. Mind you this thing is small to begin with.
If I had to criticise something it would be the fit of the adapters to the fan unit. They are surprisingly tight. I was worried lest I had it wrong and was going to break something. I pushed harder and it went on. Having fitted various adapters a number of times I’m getting more comfortable with it and it’s fine so far.
I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.
This is brilliant I use it to inflate my pack raft and air bed it does both quickly and easily comes with lots of different attachments and you can even deflate with it . I will also be using the torch and camping light in my tent when I go camping next yea
This little pump’s main USP is that it is so small it will pop in a pocket, or bag, saving a lot of weight or space on a trip.
As well as one side inflating, the other side deflates, it has a torch light that has 3 levels of power and a magnetic ring so it can be attached to metal surfaces.
As you can see, I have demonstrated in the attached video, the inflating of an exercise ball, the deflating of a storage bag and the light capability.
I found it is far more efficient as a pump than it is deflating and certainly not as fast as using a vacuum cleaner, but this is all about convenience and availability.
As you can see from the pictures it comes with various attachment heads and a nice drawstring carrying bag.
It is charged via the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. As well as holding a substantial change in its 1300mAh Battery it can be used as in the video attached to a power bank.
The current price of 36.99 I would say is on the high side.
I impulse-grabbed this tiny vacuum bag pump from FLEXTAIL because we have just moved house and have clothes and sift furnishing storage issues which vacuum bags are going some way to help sort out, but it’s a pain in the proverbial body part having to get the great but still not exactly Dyson stick out to do the vacuum part.
It’s a tiny gadget that recharges a relatively small 1300 mAh internal battery via USB-C. I’m not entirely sure it benefits from any of the fast-charging USB-C features.
It’s a hand-sized “travel” gadget, and as well as the sucking rings on the vacuum bags mentioned first in the product page’s headline it can be attached via the various adapters provided to travel appropriate things like inflatable beds and pool toys.
The makers have value-added an LED light and magnet at opposite ends so it turns into a flashlight/torch or “camping” lamp.
At time of review it costs 36.99. This may seem a bit steep, but for the traveller it does mean you could stuff your check-in bag with extra vacuum-packed clothes and not need to take the Dyson with you to re-vacuum for the return trip. It’s an effective little pump that I’ll use mainly indoors for long term storage efficiency, but when the weather improves will save a lot of time and wheezy, middle-aged huffing and puffing with lilos and pool toys.
A helpful camping gadget in that it speeds up your admin time (inflate/deflate) of sleep mats etc. The led light has 3 settings and serves as a back-up tent light. The unit is USB rechargeable from all the usual power sources incl battery power packs.
Really handy little pump for both pumping up inflatables or drawing the air out of vacuum bags, and it can also work as a light for your tent when you go camping. Rechargeable with a type C USB cable and so small and lightweight that you can easily take it anywhere with you. Not the cheapest pump available, but given the benefits it provides it is good value.
I’ve got all quite a few of these flextailgear small compact pumps , the 2X is tiny, super compact and lightweight mini Air pump with different choice of nozzles, so you can use it for pumping up different types of inflatables.
I use the pumps for camping mats and pillows , it saves you huffing and puffing at the end of the day to inflate your camping mat , just let the tiny pump do the work for you.
They are very easy to use and rechargeable too , they take up little room in your backpack , rucksack so you can easily take these on your trekking trips.
They are quite noisy in the outdoors though that’s the only problem , but they don’t take long to inflate a camping mat up.
I’ve used these pumps for beach inflatables, small inflatable boats, paddling pools , air beds , they are really versatile and handy to have.
They are not cheap but I’d certainly recommend this timy pump 2X.
We got this, because it seemed to promise the impossible. I mean, this thing is so small. I thought we would try it though.
One aim for this, was so we can take our airbeds with us, when camping, and not worry about getting access to electricity. When the device arrived, I was a little surprised at how small it was and when I switched it on, the air coming out of it didn’t hold much promise for us. How wrong I was.
After a full charge, I was able to pump a single airbed up, twice. I expect the device to have enough power left to pump at least a third, possibly a fourth airbed too.
The pump is so small and compact, it blows as well as sucks, and even has a little light built in. The light has three brightness settings and they are very bright too. There’s also a loop at the top of it so you can hang this, possibly inside a tent. It’s bright enough to light up the room.
Even though it is small, it is amazingly powerful and bright. This is a must purchase if you go camping. I thoroughly recommend it.
Small but effective pump for blowing up and air mattress or whatever else you want to blow up, takes longer than a larger air pump obviously but it’s perfect for a camping trip if you need anything blowing up as it takes up next to no room.
Very good outdoor product, can be used as a small hair dryer, can be used as a lamp, of course, can also be used as an air pump to inflate the air bed
So powerful for the size! Easy to use once you know how. Lots of attachments to hook it up to things. A little load but that no problem. It can both suck air and blow air so has plenty of uses. Very pleased
This FLEXTAILGEAR tiny pump 2X vacuum bag pump arrived nicely boxed with charging cable, set of nozzles and storage bag.
Because of its name 2X I’ve toughy that 2 pumps are included, but it is only one.
This pump is really of a little size, the smallest pump I’ve seen, the measurements are exactly as per listing description.
It looks and feels well made from a good quality plastic, sturdy and durable.
It has built-in 1300mAh what is generous for its size.
It charges fast and has battery level indicator.
I like its practical and easy to use design.
It has even built-in light with 3 levels of brightness.
It has also strong magnet, so could be attached to the metal surfaces.
Small but powerful, inflated single camping mat resonably fast witout any problems.
Excellent pump, works as it should, pocket size, so I would happily recommend it.
This is a brilliant product, very well designed and made , super easy to use.
What really impressed me is the size, so handy and lightweight, easy to carry around, extremely portable. Battery seems to last well, haven’t recharged it since.
Have used it a couple of times, It performed very well. Quickly inflated with no problems and the deflation feature made packing away my things much easier than trying to manually get all the air out. Enabled me to pack away my things in a small space. Also used it for BBQ charcoals, worked a treat.
It should be ideal for outdoor camping too, looking forward to it.
Overall Terrific bit of equipment.
This is a review of the FLEXTAILGEAR Tiny Pump. It comes in a small cardboard box with a selection of assorted nozzles plus the charging lead, carry bag and instructions. It boasts an internal rechargeable 1300mAh battery that does not take too long to fully charge up – there was some power in it on arrival but following the instructions I charged it fully anyway. As well as the actual pump, either to inflate or deflate in the case of vacuum bags etc. there is also a built-in light with assorted settings from low to high (see photos) and with the fold out hook handy possibly for hanging up when camping. It’s hard to say how long it lasts for on a single charge as no two users requirements are going to be the same, but as a ‘test run’ it inflated a double air bed we use in case anybody comes to stay unexpected etc. in a few minutes and still had reserve power left in it. With the assorted nozzles include its safe bet it will fit most things in the common domain without too much struggle. Overall, a nice, compact pump and light in one unit plus a carry bag included. Can’t think of any niggles at all, hence my rating
These mini air pumps are so cute and dinky and will be going in my hand luggage when I go away in December. They literally fit into the palm of one’s hand.
It’s a bit noisy when in use but who cares! I don’t as it gets the job done for me
I will be able to vacuum pack my carry on items to a size that will enable to fit into all my items and some into my carry on bag. I will be able to get twice as much in my bag than I’d anticipated and no drama at check in. Then when I return home I’ll be able to do the same. I’ll now be able to fit my friends Christmas gift into my bag too. I’m not taking a suitcase as it’s a short trip and the airline I’m travelling with charges for each case
Not only useful for carry on, the possibilities are many and due to its compact size it’s very portable it even has a little camping light. You get 2 for the price so great for sharing. I’ll give one to my sister who travels a lot and always Uber packs to the point that I always have to have done of her things in my suitcase when we travel together. She’s a nightmare always packs enough for a couple of months
I’ve used it to blow up my larger vacuum bags and it did a pretty good job and I also tried out the lamp which can last up to 10 hours on a full charge which is fantastic. It has 3 levels of brightness all of which are very useful.
It is charged via usb and Comes with various attachments depending on the job needing doing. One point to note is that the PSI will not blow up a car tyre or anything large like that. So check before you buy if you want it for something large specific!
I’m going to order me some small vacuum bags ready for my trip!
I would recommend just for it’s size, versatility and portability
I hope you found this review helpful
This tiny pump is very impressive for its tiny size. It is rechargeable by USB (cable supplied) and has a cover over the charging point to cover it from dust (and perhaps any light splashes).
I tried it out on a single inflatable mattress and as you can see from my video it pumped up the main outside chamber in under minutes – the second inside took about a minute.
It comes with a great selection of adapters that fit very snugly in to minimise loss of air. Use the arrows to determine whether you want to inflate (arrows point towards inflation) or deflate (arrows pointing away). I also deflated both chambers in about the same amount of time on the same charge.
It has a few connectors that fit all inflatable mattresses we have – both the smaller and larger valves, as well as one for putting on vacuum bags to deflate (it screws onto the valve) and inflatable rings etc.
You double-click the power button to start the pump (for either direction) and a single click to switch it off. Also, you can hold in the power button for a few seconds and it turns on the light – further single clicks go through a medium and then highest power lamp and the next click turns it off. Even the lowest setting is pretty bright and the brightest is very bright! There is a magnet on the other end with a small foldable handle also to position the light. Its a strong magnet – I only tested it on a radiator but it held very well indeed.
This is going to be so useful to take with us camping and for any time when the power goes out and we will keep it fully charged ready for action.
Such a brilliant idea and very well designed, very powerful. Having the light option is awesome!
I’m going to fully recharge it and put it through its paces and see how many times it will inflate a single mattress (might even try it on a double) and will update with results.
Great for an emergency light but mostly for being able to pump up an inflatable quickly without external power. It also comes with a handy draw-string pouch to keep the pump and connectors too. Absolutely fantastic to try this out and is going to be so useful for so many things! Thank you 🙂
Visually the design of this unit is excellent, it has a great quality and feel to it. It’s compact and great for camping. It’s not particularly powerful, just enough to do the job it needs to.
It is also a light with a hook for hanging in a tent at night.
Great little, useful pump with various nozzles. Does the job perfectly in approximately 6 minutes. We got it specifically for our guest air bed. I am very happy with it. It is easy to use. Due to its size, it is portable and can be taken anywhere. It also can be used as a light if you long press the button. It should not be used longer than 10 minutes, according to the warning note on it. It is magnetic and also has type charging. The light turns green when it is fully charged. I think it is a bit overpriced, so this is the reason I only gave it 4 stars. I still recommend this item because it is good quality and it is great for its purpose.
We’ve had a Tiny Pump for some months and it has done sterling service pumping up all kinds of inflatables, both at home and when we took it on holiday. This is the Tiny Pump 2X which is slightly more powerful and adds a useful light which has three brightness settings and can either be hung up from the hook or attached magnetically to any steel surface. I checked the running time on the brightest setting and it was still giving a useful light 7 hours later, (it started to dim at about 5 hours), and the LEDs were still glowing dimly at 18 hours; (strangely the Flextail information gives a running time of 1 hour). Like the original Tiny Pump the Tiny Pump 2X comes with a selection of adapters, a USB-C charging cable, instructions and a storage bag. Charging is by a USB-C socket under a cover, a small LED changes from red to green when fully charged. The pump has two ports for inflating and deflating and it works very well. Running time when inflating appears to be about 20 to 25 minutes, however instructions state to not let it run more than 15 minutes. Performance seemed very similar to our original Tiny Pump, no bad thing as everyone who’s seen it has been very impressed. Overall, the brilliance of Tiny Pump plus a light.
Wow! Someone put a lot of time and effort into designing a product that not only useful and versatile but incredibly compact too. They call it ‘Tiny Pump’ and they’re not kidding!
The pump itself fits easily into the palm of your hand. It is powered by its rechargeable battery so, once charged up, you don’t need to connect it to the mains or a car to operate it. You operate it from a single button. A double press starts the air pump operating, another press stops it. One end has the air intake, the other end has the output and both have the same format so you can fix a nozzle to either end and use it to inflate or deflate. There are a range of nozzles included to fit a variety of appliances to be inflated – and this is where that design shows because they all fit together to be stored as one short column about the same length as the pump.
If you press the power button just one then it lights up an LED ring on and off the pump to act as a lamp, on which you can change to three levels of brightness – and the brightest is VERY powerful. Oh yes, and there are strong magnets in the casing of the pump so you can place the lamp against metal things, like tent poles and it will stay there.
The set of pump and nozzles is completed with the USB charging cable and a nylon drawstring back to hold everything safely together when not in use.
This is a brilliant device, especially to take with your travelling or camping. It takes up very little space in a bag or rucksack and weighs almost nothing but if you need to inflate an airbed or rubber ring or have a light on in the evenings, it will be invaluable. Maybe a little costly, but the versatility and compactness makes it worth the bit extra.
The main drawback of this mini pump is that it will only go to 0.58 PSI. My paddle board needs 13 PSI – so obvioulsy this doesn’t touch it. But if you are just looking to inflate some airbeds then this will be fine and save your own puff. It is easy to charge and you have the added function of torch. I haven’t tried it on suction for vacuum bags yet – but I can see that could be very useful. It’s very compact – but be aware of its power limitations.
In the box is a number of adapted for different uses, the pump and a storage bag. The adaptors seem varied enough to cover most inflatables and vacuum bags. The pump itself is tiny, and I am amazed how much it can do in such a small package. The pump also has a fold out hoop for attaching/hanging, and an LED torch which is pretty powerful (three brightness settings). These too features together makes it ideal for camping/holiday. I have tried it on a couple of vacuum bags and an inflatable pool unicorn, it worked perfectly for both situations.
Charging is super easy via USB-c, cable included.
FLEXTAILGEAR Tiny Pump 2X Vacuum Bag Pump with 1300mAh Battery Mini Air Pump 0.2 lbs Type C
This little pump comes in a small retail box with a USB-A to USB-C charge lead (no charger), a set of nozzle adapters, a carry pouch and small instruction book. I wasn’t expecting much at all from this little device, expecting it to be one of those cheap gadgets that don’t really work, but I was totally wrong!
This little pump is solid and very well made, it has a built-in LED ring light, a hanging hoop and built-in rechargeable battery and is magnetic. The LED lights are normally rubbish gimmicky things but this one is actually useful, and you can adjust the brightness in 3 levels.
The pump itself is like a little jet engine, it has such a high speed that that there is a gyroscopic effect if you try turning it in mid-air. I gave it a try on my camping air bed using one of the adapters, but on my clothes vacuum bags I couldn’t find an adapter with a screw thread, until I realised that when sucking you don’t need threads to fix it on, it holds there itself, (a dumb moment).
So does it work, yes it does, and it works extremely well too. It didn’t take long to pump up the airbed at all and with the clothes vacuum bags it was a matter of seconds (see video). There is a considerable amount of effort saved with this little pump, not to mention it’s a fraction of the size of foot or hand pumps.
I’m not sure how long the battery will last but I haven’t charged it yet and I have pumped up a camping airbed and vacuum sealed 5 large clothes bags and it is still going strong. The magnet is strong and holds tight when used as a lamp of course.
I cannot fault this little pump; it is very impressive. I cannot comment on the price as this is one of those things that could be expensive to some and cheap to others, its whether or not you feel it’s worth it.
There are a few differences between this pump and the original Flextail. The original was 79g, this one is 96g. The slightly larger size and magnet explains the increased weight. As well as the flashlight, this one also has a built in magnet. The magnet means that, when in flashlight mode, the unit can be attached to a metal object, so that it can provide hands free illumination. The flashlight has a maximum brightness of 400lumen. This can be stepped down to 160 lumens or 40 lumens. The torch will provide illumination for 1 hour at 400 lumen, 2.5 hours at 160 lumen or 10 hours at 40 lumens. To turn the light on, simply press and hold the power button, then continue to press the button again to cycle through the lighting settings. The original had 3.5KPA (air pressure) and this one has 4.0KPA. The battery size appears to have remained the same at 1300mAH. Inside the box you get the pump, a carry case, instructions and five different adapters for various inflatable items. To get the pump going, press the button twice. The ‘air in’ is on one side of the pump and the ‘air out’ is on the other side of the pump. With this pump, there will always be a trade off. Bigger pumps will inflate things much quicker. Using this will take longer. This is to be expected though. This unit is all about size and portability. It is made for those people like backpackers who wish to travel light. I particularly like the vacuum bag fitting. We always struggle to find a fitting for emptying the air out of vacuum bags and have to use the inefficient hand pumps that come with them. We regularly use vacuum bags when camping to store our mattress when travelling to and from the campsite. This tiny pump will be useful for this alone. I’m not sure what the little silicone gasket fitting is for. Happy to recommend this little powerhouse.
This is such a clever little gadget with a surprising number of uses, an absolute no-brainer for any keen campers. It’s a very small cylinder which will fit in your hand comfortably and is charged by USB (lead included). It even comes with a little carrier bag and you will definitely want to carry it on your next adventure. Basically it has three functions. The first is as an air pump. Use it to inflate air mattresses, boats or pretty much anything else (though manufacturer excludes tyres, balloons, and balls) – it even has a range of 5 different nozzles included. You can even use it to fan your campfire. The second use is deflation – use this to get the most out of your vacuum storage bags. The third use is as a light source. It has 3 different brightness settings, from 40 lumens to a whopping 400 lumens. There is a folding metal loop for hanging but it also includes a strong magnet for attaching to any ferromagnetic metal surface such as car frames etc. Really cleverly designed and effective little gadget which all sorts of uses both in the wild and at home, definitely the kind of thing you never knew you needed until you buy it, then wonder how you ever got on without it.
Brilliant idea and design and done very well. Very compact and even fits in pocket very easily. It has few different heads so can be used with anything. I inflated a single mattress with it and took 10mins to get there which is very good.
The light has different brightness levels which is very good as well. Charges with usb type c so easy for anyone to have it.
It is quite loud as you can hear in the video but i guess thats with all.
Definitely worth having this for home or outdoors.
This is amazing. It’s an excellent survival/camping tool to have. It has it’s own battery, it’s an USB device and also serve as a flashlight. And on top of all this, you get a carry bag and a large variety of exchangeable nozzles.
This is an excellent value for your money and even if you’re not an outgoing person, this little gadget can come handy to use with inflatable guest beds or just simple party balloons.
This is a very presentable pump. The packaging is superb customer great information on it it’s very easy to follow and packaging. Does the unit justice
The unit itself is quite small and hold it in one hand to operate and the adapters are quite good and universal. I have found that placing adapters on is easy take them off, especially the screw cap for vacuum bags is a little harder.
I really like how compact this is the place everything in its own little bag and everything can fit into a side pocket coat pocket brilliant
Quite powerful I like how it’s USB charged so you can use a battery pack if you’re out and about very happy
Instruction leaflet is okay I did struggle to read it because everything is printed so small, but the graphics are quite good for once you understand how it works self-explanatory tickly like that it comes with lights as well as a pimp/vacuum motor very good for camping
Overall, very pleased this is a quality unit stylish very easy to use. However it does come at hefty price point of 37 which is a little disappointing, but you cannot deny how versatile this little unit is love i
This vacuum bag pump is great, it is very small and lightweight but packs a lot of power for such a small thing. It is easy to work and the lighting is similar to use and adjust as you need, the lights are plenty powerful for various jobs. I like the way this has a decent magnet too, ideal if your fixing the car.
This would be an ideal item for in the car, travelling and we use it in the loft – better than using the vacuum to deflate vacuum bags for storage.
This is a great gift for campers.
The pump inflated my slim airbed in about 60 seconds. It works on Therm-A-Rest fittings which most other pumps don’t.
The light has 3 brightness levels and is easily controlled.
The magnetic grip force of the pump is strong enough to hold it horizontally or hang vertically. It also has a hook for hanging.
There are a wide range of valve adapters. It also comes with a short USB-C cable. There’s a handy carry pouch.
It’s not the quietest pump, but no worse than others. It makes a higher pitch noise than a standard airbed pump.
Overall – a good little camping utility.
I like this mini air pump . I like it because it is rechargeable and smaller than a tennis ball . It has a tarch mode as well . I like it that I can keep it on my pocket any where . I used it for inflating my children’s swimming arm bands and tyre ring .It was embarrassing when I inflate them with mouth some time . I am happy with my purchase.in my opinion it is expensive. I like it .
First thing I would like to clarify is you get one pump as I found the listing a little confusing with the x2 and the box having a picture of 2 pumps.
You try the pump unit and a selection of inflation attachments a charge cable and a storage bag. The unit also has a lamp function which has different brightness settings and a hanging loop or can be attached with magnets.
It a useful item but it’s not overly powerful but enough for normal inflatables.
This mini pump works better than expected and i like that it’s easy for me to use. It’s done well at blowing up my air bed and it didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I think the battery capacity is good, it’s easy to charge and the battery life is decent. I’ve used it on vacuum bags and it was brilliant for using on them. I think the quality of the pump is good because it’s strong, sturdy and durable it should withstand a lot of use. I haven’t really used it magnetically but it’s a handy feature to have and will probably come into most use when I go camping. It’s lightweight and very portable so brilliant for taking away travelling. I think it’s good value for money and I do recommend it. It gets a thumbs up from me. It’s a useful piece of equipment to have that’s for sure.
Don’t be fooled by the tiny size of this bright orange hand air pump with lamp & magnetic ring it certainly packs a woosh in inflating many things (Not balloons or tyres!) and is an idea carry with you whilst out camping or any social activity requiring air inflation with small alternative attachments and charging lead which you must use to charge this before first use, the lamp on the end is an added bonus and whilst it is 37 you will soon see the quality and understand the various uses this will have for this value see below detail’s
About this item
COMPACT BUT MORE POWERFUL THAN EVER- Weights 3.3oz (only the pump), FLEXTAILGEAR portable air pump TY2X maintains almost the same size as the previous generation but allows the air pressure to be further enhanced to 4 kPa (0.58 PSI). Able to inflate tens of single camping air mattress, air pillows, or keep the camping lantern on for about 10 hours at 40 lumens in a single charge.
This is a great little rechargeable air pump/vacuum.
It comes packaged inside a little box which includes the air pump/vacuum, five attachments, a handy drawstring bag, a USB-C charging cable and an instructions leaflet.
This is simple to use and it may look small but it’s surprisingly powerful. I’ve only used it on vacuum storage bags so far but works great and now I don’t have to get the big hoover out every time I need the air sucked out of the bags. I’ve not used it enough to comment on how long the battery lasts.
The pump/vacuum also has a useful light built in making it perfect to use when camping. The light is adjustable and has 3 brightness levels. There is also a handy loop so that you can hang the light as well as a magnetic base. All in all a useful pump to have on hand in case it is needed.
This pump is great for the majority of your inflation needs. Airbeds, balloons, kits toys, the opposite – vacuum sealed bags. Plus it works as a lamp too.
Considering the size, it’s a lot more powerful than I expected!
It’s quite noisy, but given how strong it is, shouldn’t need to run as long as less effective pumps.
Small enough to throw in a camping bag and not worry about it.
Small yet relatively mighty pump. Can all store in the supplied bag. Can pump up or suction down. Also has a light. Charges easy enough. Has a little hanging hook or magnet too. Didn’t seem to have much issue with pumpimg up a ball. What I’m liking it for is with my vacuum bags, so much easier to use than the vacuum cleaner! For its size, it’s pretty noisy! You have to dig in the instructions to try and work it out, so best just to play around with it to find out how it works. A little pricey perhaps.
I was not sure what to expect with this but am quite impressed. It’s a little out of my outdoor season so it has mainly been test use but I think it will sae a lot of blowing and sucking inflatable kit without needing something that takes a lot of space. Not sure about using it for an air bed but for smaller items it is perfect.
My wife has also tried it for use with small vacuum food bags and it works better than the pump that came with the bags.
The little light is a good emergency extra and it’s actually quite bright. No call indication of battery life yet but all my tests have been on the same charge so looks good for a weekend away.
My only real question is charging. With battery kit it is easy to pack or purchase extra batteries but this is rechargeable only. I do have some battery packs for recharging a phone and guess something like that would be a good extra to carry as not so easy to find a charger as it is extra batteries.l
The kit all comes in a neat little carry bag which takes the pump, cable and a range of adapters that all fit inside one another.
This is so easy to slip into a backpack, yet so useful for so many things.. It’s perfect for camping or a day at the beach or pool. It make short work of inflating and deflating pool toys, inflatable beds, etc. I’ve even used it to quickly cool food – almost as a micro-fan! I can see it being really useful for so many things..
The form factor is amazing – It’s tiny! The light function, which at first I thought would be gimicky, is actually really good – as the pump also has a hanging loop, you can use it as a light source anywhere..
I’d rate this as a really well thought-out, camping and day out tool. Throw into a bag and take it with you – you never know when you might need it and it’s so small, you won’t even notice it’s there until you need it!
This will be perfect for camping next year.
We have invested in a load of vacuum pack bags but struggled with the hand pumps when packing back up to come home.
Although I only tested on a small bag with a cushion and hoodie I was impressed with how much it compressed the items.
It comes with a load of different adaptors and depending on which side you place the adaptors can be used as an inflator or deflator.
The little handle means this can be hung up for when you want to use it as a light.
The controls are a little confusing (instructions are next to useless as there is little or no english) short press a couple of times to turn on the pump, long press to turn on the light then short press to cycle through the light levels and back to off – why this isnt long press on and off for the light is beyond me.
Size wise this about 8 to 10cm long and around 6cm diameter so it is really compact and hence why i’m so surprised at the power it packs. Giving it 5 stars so far but will update after our first camping trip next yea
There is good airflow and it blows along of air although it is a bit loud. The leds work well too. This seems like an ideal thing to bring when going camping. It charges with type c which is ideal. This is a good electric pump for blowing things like up like balls or beds.
