This was a Christmas present for my husband to use when cycling. It’s a really nice compact rucksack with lots of storage & features, even a whistle! Ideal for cycling or hiking day trips. A lovely colour too, I was tempted to keep it for myself!

This backpack is small, yet it has so many features that allow the user to bring along many items in an organized fashion. Zippered compartments, pockets, a clip, mesh drink pouches on either side and an elastic cinching cord running through reflective tabs to secure extra items of clothing. The pack can be carried by a webbed handle at the top or be strapped on your back and secured with an adjustable webbed strap and clip that is also a whistle. Quality construction throughout with smoothly operating zippers that have attached zipper pulls.
This is exactly what I was looking for – small but fully featured. Absolutely love it!

I got this to replace my larger diaper bag backpack. It is small but holds a lot. Lots of pockets and it appears to be well made. It’s comfortable and am glad I picked it to use on the daily.
This was perfect for my 7yo daughter to take on her field trip and carry all day. A larger backpack would have been too heavy. I got this for me as I love the color and the size is great for hiking. It fits two water bottles and has so many great features. It’s a backpack I would expect to find in a nice sporting goods store and looks great quality too so I think it would make a really nice gift for the outdoor lover in your life.
I got the teal but now I only see black and grey. Guess I lucked out! Would be nice if they had a berry color.
I got a very similar sized crossbody bag from G4Free, in the same color, but didn’t like it for regular wear since there was no place for a water bottle.
Then I saw this and jumped on it – it is just what i wanted. A smaller, lightweight day pack (for the city or short hikes) with a bunch of zippered and inner pockets AND a place for my water bottle.
I love this little pack so much. The other bag will probably get almost no use, but this one will be my go-to!

G4Free Mini Hiking Daypack is wonderful! It’s light, but made of durable materials and fabric. There’s reinforced stitching at stress points. And, although I was worried about its minimal size before receiving it, it’s been great in terms of what it can carry. My wife and I take hikes and day trips; for years we [especially my smaller-sized wife] labored carrying those large backpacks. Yes, there are occasions when alot of storage is needed, but for our typical excursions we only need towels, swimwear, a change of footwear and items such as a magazine, cellphones, eyeglass cases, wallets, keys and a couple of bottles or cans of water [seltzer, anyone?]. This backpack manages to carry all of the above, without the added weight and bulk of larger backpacks. Less is more, sometimes!
It boasts comfortable, padded adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap [with safety whistle!] to keep the backpack centered and balanced; the adjustments are easy. The main compartment runs the full length and holds more than you’d think; it’s not padded. The smaller front zippered compartment also runs to the bottom. It includes an organizer area for things like cellphones, pens, etc. There’s a hidden RFID blocking pocket to protect ID cards, cellphones, etc. from being scanned and stolen. A mesh pocket on either side securely holds water bottles of at least 20oz., or a can of seltzer, or a 1980’s walkman-style cassette player, etc. Because of the smaller backpack size, these things are easily accessible. The bungee cords are a great idea, to hold things that you want to keep separated from things like clean, dry towels and clothing; wet, sandy water shoes, for example! The material is sturdy and is water and tear resistant.
I really enjoy this backpack, but my wife absolutely loves it. The substantially reduced bulk and weight have made such a big difference for her… no fatigue or discomfort; it’s a weight off of her shoulders and back and, she’s finding so many occasions to make use of it, beyond hiking!
This is a very good day trip bag. It’s compact, but provide enough space to carry all you need for a day trip. The bag is light weight and water resistant, it looks and feels quite sturdy, the quality seems to be good, and it is quite reasonably priced. Happy with this product.
Great size for those on the petite size. Seems sturdy, able to fit a full jacket and other supplies and snacks inside. Splashed water on it and it easily repelled the water. The little whistle on the front works really well, just need to give a quick hard puff. It has a lot of pockets, which is nice to separate different small items. Great for a quick hike.
I bought this backpack for my trip to Costa Rica. I needed a small day pack that I could carry just my essentials in without it being to heavy or burdensome, and this bag did the trick. It holds two water bottles (one in each side pocket). Mine is a 20 oz water bottle. It has a large main compartment with a sleeve inside for things like documents or books. It has a front little pocket that was great for storing by drink packets, and then it has a middle pocket that has some little compartments inside for holding smaller items like Chapstick, pens, medications, etc. It also has a little key ring holder. It seems very durable, the color is fabulous, and it was just perfect for my needs. I love how small and cute it is, yet it still holds everything I need. It worked great for my trip!
Stitches are reinforced at weight bearing stress zones and around zippers.
2 zippered compartments. Smaller outer compartment has a little organizer area good for pens, pad/book and maps (if you like the old fashioned paper kind). Maybe just a sketch book instead.
Larger compartment easily held 2 x 1.5L water bottles and could likely hold rain jacket/ponchos, multiple snack containers, first aid kit, etc.
The main compartment also has a water bladder area, but there is no guide hole for tubing, so I wouldn’t classify this as a hydration pack.
I was able to put a compact tripod chair in the back bungee straps, but have to be careful when turning i don’t hit anyone/thing as the legs stick out.
This will be a useful day pack for a day hike where a single water bottle won’t be enough, or if carrying for multiple people.
This would also be useful for bringing kids to an amusement park for the day or around town, with drinks and snacks fitting comfortably.
This bag will work well for a smaller individual. I am 5’11” and 200#, the straps were a bit snug on me.
Ample room for a cell phone and wallet in either compartment.
The outer water bottle holders are secure to the pack, but the shorter rise makes them more suited to 20 oz bottles or smaller. My S’Well bottle felt like it would fall out if banged against anything from below and that’s despite it being a snug fit to get into the pocket. Nothing high to secure it from fallling out.
The sub-zero bottle is hourglass shaped and that felt more secure, however was top heavy and again likely too big for this bag. The inside compartment would easily hold a bunch of 500ml bottles if you had kids with you.
Well, I don’t hike but I do go on walks and run errands around town, and I ordered this G4Free 12L Mini Hiking Daypack to substitute for a purse or crossbody bag. It has the pockets and sections I was looking for especially two sections in one of the front pockets that can accommodate my two smartphones. A nice touch is the side rear anti—theft hidden pocket that holds my wallet. Unfortunately, once I lowered the backpack to a comfortable position on my shoulders, the front snap buckle was up to my neck, so I had to remove it. Secondly, the zippers get caught in the facings from time to time which is a pain. I will try to iron them down and hope this helps. Other than that, an almost perfect backpack for my needs.
Showed it next to a standard pack for comparison of size. The color is exactly how it’s seen in the listing (mine looks darker because of the lighting in the room). It’s perfect for going on a short hike or trip. It has plenty of space and pockets. I’m very happy with it.
I got this back pack for short day hikes. It’s the perfect size to pack a water bottle (or your own water bladder can easily fit in here too) and snacks and more for a day hike. It’s light weight, made of quality material. These is one pocket inside the pack. There are also pockets on each size to hold a water bottle. The straps are padded and comfortable.
This little backpack is exactly what I was looking for! I’m going to Colorado for the 1st time and I wanted something a little more compact. It’s pretty roomy for a smaller size backpack. It will be really easy to store everything I need from my planned hikes. It seems like very good quality. So happy I got this for my trip!

This is a really nice mini backpack – Perfect for hiking & day trips. It fit my 11yo daughter perfectly – lightweight and compact but with enough room to hold what she needs. We got a change of clothes, a light jacket, sunscreen, water bottle & snacks inside with room for more. The bungees on the outside are perfect to securing her jacket or a towel or whatever she wants with her on our hikes. There are a few compartments in the main space to organize stuff and keep things secure. The front pocket also has small compartments and a zipper pocket to keep small things secure. The shoulder straps are slightly padded and a nice width to be comfortable on her small shoulders. The chest strap keeps the pack secure to her when she’s running around or jumping. I will have her use this one for our ski trips too – i’m happy with the bright aqua color and reflective stripe. Will make it easy for me to spot her and for others to see and avoid her while going down the slopes. Very happy with it.
I love the little backpack. There are times that I don’t need a big backpack because I’m just going to have a few things and this is prefect. It has tons of pockets everywhere and I love to little secret one on the back. Wellthe zippper should be the same color of the backpack that makes it blend in so it a little more hidden.

The highlight of this backpack is the RFID zipped pouch on the back. Not too obvious of a location on the back but near the side—handy for wallet, tickets, passport etc.
Good for just about any activity—a good GO bag. For travel— easier and more lightweight than bigger backpacks to carry what you need when out or touring around—Or even an overnight bag. Yet still large enough to fit what you need.
Side pouches are good for water bottle and umbrella.
Because of the double zip pulls on 2 of the compartments you could use link them and add a little security with small locks. The front bungee good for compression. Water does roll off the backpack although like other treated products may require refreshing the waterproofing at some point.

I GIVE THIS PRODUCT 5 STARS! wow seriously took me a minute looking for a daypack that still had all the compartments a regular sized backpack has that isn’t too small! I love the look of this backpack, the material, the pockets for water on outside are a must but also the small compartment for keys wallet and phone medium for extra work ties and a large separate compartment for a change of clothing after a long workday is over. The large pocket separate from everything for lunch storage thermoses. SO PERFECT FOR THE PRICE! My partner takes a train to Seattle for work so finding this backpack was a must and I’m so glad I DID! (clapping hands) I will purchase another for myself as a diaper bag.
It’s smaller then I thought, not a bad thing. It’s comfortable on my shoulders, I get alot of pain on them so the cushioning on them is appreciated. Even though it a bit small it seems to have a good amount of room and storage. There is even a slightly hidden pocket in the back area that I very much love. It’s got buckles to hold the bag more steady which I like. The first front pocket is nice and deep, the second is as well with smaller pockets, pen/pencil holders and a Keychain hook. The inner main part if the bag is a good size and can fit my laptop just fine with room to spare. Although as I said it’s small compared to what I normally use, it’s good for school, work, or any activities really.
This is a nice little backpack for day hikes. Good price. I love all the bungee cords and such for stashing things into it on the go.
