Early morning dog walks before it gets light. This hat is ideal for seeing where my dog has pooed so I can pick it up. Fits ok and seems quite warm. I have no idea how long the light will last but it does the job well.
My dad uses this as his garden is really long and dark or for taking the dog out. Well impressed with it and how bright the light is. Nice quality material and recharges using a tiny usb. Excellent item

The hat itself is comfortable and warm, with some good stretch to it for bigger heads, but you’re not here for that – you’re here for the light.
If you live somewhere where there’s not a lot of light once the sun goes own – maybe you’re somewhere rural, or you live in the sort of block of flats where only 3% of the lighting ever seems to be functional at any given time – this hat is a life-saver. It provides a super-bright illumination, and frees up your hands to allow you to do what you need to be doing in the dark, whether it’s fiddling with your keys or trying to find your keys after dropping them, etc. The light itself is removeable to recharge via USB and it seems to hold charge for quite some time when not being used, which is handy.
Really helpful, and an absolute must-have for anyone who struggles to fumble their way through the dark.
(The light itself has multiple settings too – super bright, not-quite-as-bright, flashing (strobe style) and, randomly, alternating blue and red flashing lights as well. The latter may be of use if you wish to impersonate a police officer* but it’s mainly the solid super-bright I’ve used it with!)

I really like this hat. It’s lovely and soft on the inside and the light is really powerful, which is great for going out after dark these days, with all the cyclists and buggies on the pavements and the street lighting being so dull. I just bought it on a whim, really, but I’m glad I did.
This was ordered for a Christmas present. Its a lovely hat. The interior is a velvety fleece lining and fits well. Plenty of stretch with it. The light is great and even has flashing blue/red lights. Great for working in the garage or out walking.
Very nice comfortable hat with a nice fleecy lining. I only gave it four stars as the stitching around the light housing came apart almost immediately and I will have to sew it up somehow.

Bought this for my partner for Christmas.I was a bit worried it might not fit.I wasn’t dissapointed it has great stretch in it It has a usb cable to charge it.The light on it is great . There’s a red and blue flashing light as well as the normal flash light This will be great for out and about walking the dog when it’s dark.Doing odd tinkering jobs when it’s not well lit and it definitely would be great for joggers or people out walking at dusk as you’d be able to be seen then I’m really pleased with it You can take the light bit out to wash it Very pleased..
Love that hat nice, snug and warm. Love the light because it frees up your hands. Only problem I found is that the light fits very loose in its fixing, so everytime I take it off it drops back inside the lining of the hat. Then need to juggle it back into position when I want to put it back on. For that reason only I give it 4stars. Once it’s on your head it stays put, easy to pop out of hat to change battery and then pop back in. All in all I like it, just not 100%

I was quorate how professional was packed in nice box. Look good but maybe I expected that gonna be more warmer. But anyway is good quality and practical product.
Because you can’t roll the edge of the hat, it’s not possible to really adjust how this sits on the brow and for me that meant a slouch fit rather than being tight on the head. That said, it’s a very warm and comfortable hat and the light workd very well.

I bought this for my son who is always working on his bike. The light is brilliant but the Woolley hat part is big quite floppy so the weight of the light pulls it down. He puts it over his other hat. So this makes it expensive as doesn’t really do initially what it was bought for. Great delivery though and in its own box. So well packaged.

Now that the evenings are getting darker again, it is time to get the torches out! This is a very handy combination, the hat and torch are both great. One little quibble is that the torch itself can fall out of the holder too easily, but that was easily solved with some tape. Cosy and functional.
A comfortable and warm beanie hat with the added extra of a nicely powerful LED lamp to help guide your way. The hat itself is well made and certainly is warm. The LED light simply pops into a tyre style setting and can be charged using the cable (no plug) provided. It takes roughly 1.5 hours to charge and depending on which setting you use, lasts anywhere between 3-5 hours. It has 3 modes – medium brightness, high brightness and strobe which is a blue/red combo – great for emergency use.
This hat will keep you warm and provide light so would be great for joggers, cyclists and dog walkers in the winter months and at 13.99 with a 3 discount at time of writing, this is good value for money.
I really like the design of this hat, the ‘slouchy’ design looks quite good on me. The hat is fairly warm and is easy to wear. The light from the led is not especially bright but would serve to alert drivers to a pedestrian wearing it on the road. It provides a little light to help the wearer find there way, but not much, I would still want a flashlight.
This Men’s LED hat is a great idea and makes a good gift.
I use mine for all sorts of things.
From nipping out to place trash in the recycling bins giving me a hands free light, to walking the dog and riding my bike.

The beauty of the light is that it can be recharged. It’s a matter of folding back the rubber casing and releasing the light then plugging it in to a USB plug via the cable provided.
The 5 LEDs are powerful and have 3 lit settings –‘bright’, ‘brighter’ and then ‘flashing red and blue’ light.
If you wearing it and didn’t need the light at that particular point the beanie seems large enough to fold the edge over and ‘hide’ it.
I am going to give this to a family member who does a lot of focused craft work in his shed where additional light is always helpful. It will also help when he’s needing to go up in the attic and be ‘Mr Fix-it’ in cupboards and under the floor boards’.
Then I’m going to buy a couple more. One for me for when I need to cycle in the darker months and one for a friend who dog walks down country lanes. Once the summer is over and the days get continually darker there is more of a need to be out in the dark and semi light and anything that adds to safety must be a good thing.
One of my sons came to stay with me for a couple of weeks and brought his dog. As I work late into the night this beanie has been great to take the dog out when I get home. The dog was a little curious with the light at first.
The beanie is a good fit and would fit most grown ups I feel. The hat has an attractive pattern with the light at the front. The light has 2 brightness settings and a flashing red and blue warning/help light. These are selected by pressing the button in the centre of the light. It is charged via the enclosed cable. Great value

Hat came in box with instruction and short micro usb cable. Tag says that hat is made of 100% acrylic but online I saw note of 80% cotton…who to believe? From my experience it’s an acrylic. It has little smell as well and it’s not as soft like cotton would have been.
On the middle of the hat is LED light.
The light can be removed, but it’s not that easy though.

Light is not waterproof, neither the hat so it can be used in dry weather conditions only.

I like this beany – it is nice and snug on my head. I have quite a large head and these type of beanies don’t often fit me but this one is just about perfect. It is nice and warm. The light is bright and has a number of different light functions on it. It is rechargeable which is great. It is probably a little more expensive than I would normally pay but pretty good vfm.
With reservations, I love the Highever LED head torch equipped beanie beanie. I remember the Innovations catalogue with still-puzzled nostalgic fondness, and its spirit lives on in this fleece-lined woolly hat with a USB rechargeable headlight.
It’s an Innovations-appropriate 15.99 at time of review, and even the main product description calls it a “stocking filler”.
The disc-shaped lamp has a switch in the centre which cycles through dim then bright white light, then a flashing pair of red and blue “emergency” lights, then off. Highever claim 3 hours bright, 5 hours dim and 7 hours “blues and twos” operation.
It works as well as any of the several walking headlights I own, with the value-add of a beanie that keeps your head warmer than a rubber strap. I think it’s going to revolutionise winter evening dog walking.
The lamp has “chip on board”, or COB, “naked” LEDs which means they’re VERY bright. The lamp sits in a rubber tyre fitted into the rim of the beanie, which does mean you can’t roll the rim up — it would make the lamp pointless. You need to pop the lamp out of its tyre to get to the USB charging socket. A cable is included but no charger.
As the BBC used diligently to say, other woolly hats and head-mounted lamps are available, but to offset its premium price the Highever beanie is a fun and kind of practical novelty.

Design.
The torch is built in to the front of the beanie and is easy to switch on. It has five light modes including a coloured flashing one. I think this is for SOS or a warning.
Brightness and charge.
The brightest setting is just enough to illuminate a walk, the lower setting are ok for letting others know you are there rather than lighting your way. The coloured SOS mode is quite bright and will draw attention. It charges up in about 2 hours and this give around three hours of light on the bright setting and more on the lower ones. The hat is warm and stays on ok.
Overall.
It’s a nice warm beanie hat with a built-in light. It works well and is ideal for walking or keeping in the car for emergencies. It makes a nice gift.
This is a knitted acrylic hat with a knit pattern all in one colour.
It feels medium thick and reasonably warm.
This size fits a mans head well and would probably fit from about 13 and up.
For a womans small sized head its a little long but would probably be fine for those with thick curly hair do’s.
There is a disc on the front that holds a light that can be operated by pressing a button and gives 3 modes.
First mode is medium bright and all the 5 LEds light up, next is bright and all the LEDS light.
Last is red blue, 2 LEds light red, then 2 blue then all 4 at once and start again. I think this mode would be a good beacon signal if lost as it draws attention very effectively.
The maximum amount of useage for each mode is 3 hours mode 1, 5 hours mode 2, 7 hours mode 3.
You can take the light part out of the hat to charge it or leave it in and plug the cable in in situ
The hat is washable at 30 degrees c with the light part taken out.
The hubs will use this early mornings in the Autumn when it starts to get darker again for getting his bike out for commuting .
Inside, the hat is seamed up one edge.
This hat could be used in a shortened mode in an emergency by turning it inside out and turning up the brim, you would then be able to use it for a younger chld but the seam and inside of the fabric would be showing. In the dark, noone would notice anyway.

An innovative, and practical item from Highever. The beanie is 80% cotton, soft, warm to wear, fully washable, and very good quality. The light is removable for washing, and rechargeable via the USB lead provided in the box.
The LED light has three modes, standard lower power white light, brighter white light, and flashing red and blue LEDs for use in an emergency. This light is very easy to detach from the beanie, and can be used as a hand held torch as well if required.
This is ideal for workmen who may be working in dark areas, or outside on dark evenings during the winter. Also great as a safety item for joggers, or out late walking the dog,or need a good, brightlight thatyou don’t have to hold, in the event of a car breakdown atnight.Battery life is between 3 and 7 hours dependingon which setting you select, and recharging takes 1.5 hours. The level of light, even on the low setting, is very good.
My only disappointment is that the photo appears toshow the beanie as being grey,but it is infact black. I already have a few black beanies, so waslookingforward to achange.

Despite the large hole in the lining I’m rating this at four stars as my husband was happy with it and happily repaired it himself. He loves hats with lights and this is the best he’s had so far, despite the poor finishing. The plush lining is very cosy and warm and the hat looks a nice fit on him, often these hats are far too long for his head. The light is easy to remove and charge and the controls are easy to locate and operate. He’s tested the lights put in the dark and he’s pleased with the brightness. There’s 3 modes – flashing SOS and 75%/100% brightness and operates from a 300mAh rechargeable battery so it charges quickly with a running time of up to 7 hours continuous use. As it’s only 300mAh it can be charged easily from any USB supply and wouldn’t take much juice from a battery pack.
This comes in a nice box so could be given as a gift. Nice quality hat that will definitely keep you warm in the winter months. It has a torch so great for walking in the dark. You can have the light bright dim or flashing red and blue. The torch is rechargeable and is easily removed by either the hole in the hat or pushing it through the hole the torch sits in.
This beanie is quite well made and will definitely keep your head warm.
The light is a big bonus, and although not as bright as some of the torches I’ve tried out, it is pretty decent considering it’s just very small and flat.
At 13 at time of review, it’s not actually bad value given it’s a two in one. Definitely useful for adults or older children who might be out walking when it gets dark – particularly if you walk out in the countryside where there might not be street lights.
This hat has a nice knitted design. The wool looks of good quality and the blend of arrow-like shapes and straight lines works really well. It feels rugged and durable enough running your hand across it and nothing feels as if it wants to come loose.
The bottom of the hat through the whole of the inside is a soft, comfortable grey fleece. It feels great against your skin and your ears. The only downside here is that it’s a little bit slippery, as fleece-like material always is, and because the hat does feel quite long unless you’ve quite a large head it does want to slip down a little and so you may find yourself pulling it up every half hour or so (so it’s not too drastic).
The light in the front centre of the hat I don’t feel looks too great. Rather than working with the hat’s design, it just looks sort of placed on there. If wearing the hat during the day it looks a little odd, almost like a camera or something. That said, once your turn it on at night the light is pretty impressive and obviously the design of it is less noticeable/confusing. You can cycle between two intensities of white light and then flashing blue and red lights (quite like police lights). It does a good job of lighting up and area if you’re using the white lights or drawing attention/comments if you’re using the red/blue lighting.
Overall, this is a nicely designed hat with a very basic looking light. It is certainly very comfortable to wear and does a good job of lighting up the area in front of you.
I bought one of these beanie hats for my husband last year and whilst he loved it for walking the dogs in the evenings it was not very warm. This beanie is fleece lined and is lovely and cosy. It has a LED light which is easy to operate and a range of light changing colours. It comes in a lovely little box also which makes it ideal as a Christmas or Birthday gift and is well priced for the quality.
A great little hat that is much better when walking two dogs to wear than trying to struggle with two leads and a torch.

This hat is a lot lighter and smaller than it looks. It’s lined with a fur like fabric that is smaller than the outside of the hat .
The light is controlled by a button and has the following 3 functions, light, brighter and flashing.
The light is encased in a rubber casing and it has to be peeled back to attach the provided charging cable.
I’ve no issues with this product and as long as the light doesn’t stop working I’ll be happy with it, however should any issues arise in the future I will amend this review accordingly.

Hat is made of acrylic and feels good quality. It has knitted outer fabric and fleece lining inside. On the back of the hat is a hole, I think is there for a reason but I’m.not sure why.. not only my hat has hole but other reviewers also said the same thing..
Any way.. for me most important is comfort and the light feature. Hat is comfortable, not the thickest one though but good for autumn and early spring, maybe for light winter too, if is not windy. Hat is very soft inside and I really like it.
The light works well with option to switch between white light and deep-blue flash light. Light need to be removed from the casing for charge. The casing is safe to be washed in machine. I’m going use this hat from autumn. Recommended

This is a very nice quality black beanie made of acrylic, with a grey fleece band around the bottom, and the same grey fleece as an inside lining. This is probably too warm to be worn in the summer, but absolutely ideal for the winter, and because it has a built in rechargeable LED light, it will be very useful for builders who want to carry on working outdoors after dark, or for people out jogging, or dog walking in the dark. It’s certainly far more sensible than a wearing a standard beanie, and carrying a torch.
The LED light unit is surround by a round rubber seal, and you need to prise the light out from this seal in order to charge it. A USB charging lead is provided in the nice box the beanie arrives in, and during the charging process two red LEDs illuminate. These are extinguished when fully charged, and that takes 1.5 hours from empty, with a full charge giving between 3 and 5 hours of use, which is excellent.
There are 5 LEDs, and two brightness levels which are selected via the push button at the centre of the light. There is a third lighting mode that switches the LEDs to flash in red and blue. This is SOS mode. The light is very bright, and can illuminate for a good distance.
For the money, this is really good value. I have paid more than this for an ordinary beanie, and the actual quality of that is not as good as this one. Well worth buying, especially with autumn and winter coming in a couple of months.
