Good fit does what it’s supposed to doGood battery life
This heated vest is a lovely fit and is made with soft warm fleece. It has 3 heat settings and it works well. I like that this is the full package and that it comes with a battery included. The vest itself is quite lightweight but of course once you add a battery it does weigh it down a bit. Lovely layer to use in this super cold weather and I would recommend to anyone working outside or for just walking the dog etc.
Brought for my husband, fits great, works well and is really comfortable, has kept him lovely and warm. made with nice material, zips well and holds heat for a long time. Really happy with this.
Good quality, doesn’t take much time to warm up.
Comfortable and first well.
The material is soft.
Great for long walks.
I’m perpetually cold so getting a heated gilet for the winter weather was key for me. I got a larger size to fit around jumpers which was the best choice for me. The battery lasts quite a while and the gilet itself heats up quickly. Obviously it works better under a coat or jacket on top to keep the heat in.
It’s got heat pockets on your ribs, lower and upper back so distributes heat quite evenly.
It’s pricey, but I would say it’s worth it for the bitter winter months, especially if you head out regularly!
This Gilet states it’s for men, but it is unisex. It looks great, feels great and works wonderfully. Very impressed with the quality of this item. Zips under the arms to make bigger or smaller. Comes in a nice bag to store and also includes a wash bag and battery pack.
Saved my dog from boredom. Still gets his longer walks in freezing temperatures. Works well on low setting and power lasts much longer. Very pleased with the quality when you see many unconvincing heated garments on the market.
Really good quality and fit.
The panels heat up very quickly. The battery pack is nice and neat and fits into inside pocket no problem.
Great when I’m walking my dog in these frosty mornings.
I was looking at so many different makes and prices, although this one is not the cheapest it is worth every penny!
Very pleased and would definitely recommend!
This may be a few pence shy of 100 at the time of writing but if you work outdoors or really feel the cold then this is the jacket for you.
I suspect many canny people will buy one and wear them indoors saving pounds on the heating whilst spending pennies.
It is comfortable an really warm.
Even the lowest heat setting is good for indoors.
Definitely work a look.
After a heated jacket a heated west is what I really needed for the outdoors activities and work.
Just as any west is supposed to be it fits well around the body and size ordered matches size that I wear on a daily basis.
Unfortunately just like many other heated clothing, this one does not include the powering device/power bank and that is something you will need to buy separately.
After it is plugged in and turned on, it takes some time to fully heat up. After it is heated it is super nice and keeps you warm wherever you go. Once you are outside, you will have a feeling the west cooled down and is not working but that is jot the case. With cold air balanced with heated west the temperature gets perfect and it is just perfect.
A gilet with a charged up pack that is plug into the gilet so you can heat it up . There are 3 different settings low ,medium or high just by pressing the button. Very comfortable to wear and the large was about a size 18 . Came in a handy storage case too
We do a lot of walking with the dog, about 6 or 7 miles a day, and go out no matter what the weather is doing, so I got this for my son. The gilet fit as expected, so true to size. It is quite plain looking but works great. There are heat patches on the front and back that are controlled easily. Depending on each day’s temperature you can activate the front, back or a combination of all the heat pads. The gilet is waterproof too so an added bonus. Absolutely delighted with this. Charging time depends on how you have used this. Very happy with product.
I’m really impressed with this heated gilet, it comes with the power pack (an essential accessory that isn’t always included so look out for that when comparing), a washing machine bag to protect it during cleaning and the size is adjustable!! How fantastic is that! The reason I say this is because very often we wear such a gilet at home instead of putting the house heating on but you also want to layer up and wear it on cold days out, with the adjustable zips at each side you can expand the waist size and wear an extra layer! Just perfect.
The overall quality is good too, it looks and feels very well made. I like that you can choose to heat either the front, the back or both, bare in mind that the lower the setting and area the longer the power pack lasts. I had everything on and full heat and it lasted a bit over 3 hours. After its second charge I just heated the back and it lasted a lot longer and I was still toastie warm.
My only criticism would be the two buttons that you use to power it read “Belly” and “Back” well I don’t really want “Belly” lit up on red on me! Having said that I have been wearing this under my coat but if I could change the design that’s what I would change it could just read “Front” and “Back”.
I would 100% purchase this again it’s the warmest heated gilet I’ve had, comfortable and great value.
This, for all intents and purposes, looks like a modern bodywarmer. It’s fairly plain and non-descript in design; just black neoprene-like outer with a soft fleece inner.
To operate you simply attach the supplied fully charged power bank to the USB connector in the inside pocket and long-press the buttons for the area you want to heat. They will begin to slowly flash red as they heat up, eventually turning white when they are. Further pressing the buttons will incrementally increase the amount of heat each element produces. There are two areas that warm up: the stomach and the upper back.
At the moment the weather has been exceptionally mild, so I’ve not had a lot of opportunity to try it out. When I have tried it, I’ve found, even on the lowest setting, that works very well and it kept me warm during the Remembrance service. That said, I did find it became a little uncomfortable after half an hour. No doubt during much colder conditions my experience would change; however, I can’t think of a time in recent years when I haven’t been adequately insulated against the cold when out walking, nor when I haven’t had to open my coat to cool down. I think this most likely to get used early on a walk and certainly not for the entire time, as I do tend to overheat. I’m taking part in a Christmas fair this Saturday and I’ll give it another go when standing outside.
I work in a steel frame building that has a metal roof and not the best insulation in the walls. In summer it’s always much hotter inside than outside and in autumn/winter the opposite. There’s no central heating – we use oil filled rads that take ages to heat the space – and by the time it’s comfortably warm, it’s time to go home… Step forward this heated fleecy wonder.
I was given a choice of two sizes: Small/Medium and Large/XLarge. In normal UK sizes in Shirts/Tshirts I tend to go for medium – I am just over 6ft and around 12.5 stone. When I ordered this I opted for the Large/XLarge as I would more than likely be wearing a thick jumper under it. This was the right choice as it’s a nice fit.
I think what the mean by Xlarge is medium/large folk that have a bit of a beer belly as the size is changed by unzipping zips on the sides which expands it about the middle – so if you usually go XL because you are broad across the chest and shoulders then the next size or two up would probably fit better.
It’s powered from a battery pack which is basically the same thing you charge a phone with. You can use this to charge a phone, but probably best not to do that while it’s heating. The battery can be charged via Micro USB or USB C which is convenient – and there are two USB type A outputs (1amp and 2amp).
It heats up very fast and has 3 heat levels. So far I am using it on the lowest heat as it’s not been properly cold yet – and it just about lasts my working day. In winter proper I will need to jack the power up which means I will not be able to use it all day :[ For the price of around 100 I think this would offer better value if it included 2 batteries so you could change them out when one needs to be charged. I think it’s perhaps a little overpriced otherwise – I have seen a number of similar vests that are 20/30 quid cheaper – a second battery would make this a much better proposition.
That said, I do really like it and all my workmates are quite jealous of it :]
This is a lovely quality gillet, the softshell material is nice and comfy.
There are plenty of pockets internally and externally and there are zip open mesh vents on each side from the underarm to the hip to help airflow if you get too hot.
The powerbank to power the heating elements fits nicely in a small inside pocket and is out of the way but accessible to use if you need to charge your phone too.
You switch on the elements by holding down the two buttons on the left chest area, one for tummy one for back.
The heating elements warm up slowly and don’t get super hot, but they give off a lovely warm heat that is nice and comfortable. On the medium setting you’ll get 6-7 hours of heating.
My only quibble is that I’m a size XL and the L-XL was too small, but fit my wife perfectly who’s a M-L so I suggest you size up.
If you suffer from the cold or feel the need for extra heating when in exposed conditions you may have thought of trying some form of heated clothing. I have looked at various types and have considered many to be gimmicky or cheaply made. This item is certainly not that. It is well thought out and well made using the latest technology.
Is made from a strong, showerproof outer and soft fleece lining. Between these at strategic points are heated sheets of carbon fibre which form the heating elements. An inner pocket holds the power bank and attachments to the heating circuit. There are control buttons on the outside (on the chest area) which control which pads are heated and the level of heat (3 levels). As the heating elements are not wires you do not have the discomfort of thick wires. It never feels burning hot, more of a gentle but wide ranging heat.
There is a clever zipped, elasticated panel on each side which allows for adjustable size which means that sizes can cover a range (eg L-XL) or for using different thickness of under garments which is a clever touch. I would say the L-XL would be about right for a 42 inch chest. I don’t think a loose fit would be the most effective so care should be given to the choice of size chosen.
I find my back and stomach get cold first and that the panels match those areas well. Keeping the core of the body warm helps with over all comfort. I found that wearing one layer of clothing under the gilet worked best and with an over garment, such as a fleece or jacket, helped the efficiency and effectiveness of the heated gilet.
The gilet is nice enough to wear without employing the heating system. Maintenance is slightly limited. Cool hand wash is recommended and no tumble dryer and no dry clean. The garment should be hung to dry in the shade which will not be ideal in winter.
The company contacted me shortly after delivery inviting communication through Amazon if any problems were encountered which would seem to indicate attentive customer service.
If you are into the idea of heated garments this one might fit the bill. It is from a company which specialises in these and seems to have researched the best solutions. Should wear well.
This is great for keeping warm, the included battery pack lasts me around 5 hours on high, haven’t used on low as can’t really feel any heat. On high it feels very warm. The pockets also act as hand warmers which is great. I would recommend this to anyone who works outside in the cold.
I actually had my doubts about this, but now I’m quite impressed !
Gilet itself is a good quality, even before you add the heating side of things.
Gilet is made from decent quality material, combined with good taped zips, and a nice warm lining.
Add the heating properties, and this just excells itself !
Controls are easy to work… just press and hold.
Washable too (always remove power bank first, then insert into washing bag provided !).
Battery bank isn’t heavy, so you don’t even notice it.
I had concerns about the “Large to XL” size initially, but then I noticed the side zips, that open up about an inch extra at each side for us well fed guys….. fits a treat now!
Comes in a decent quality zipped storage bag too, for storing in summer months.
Heats quickly and well, so I don’t have any issues in recommending this product at all !
The fit of this jacket is perfect, you need quite a snug fit to get the full heat benefits. This fit really well and was comfortable to wear.
The gilet itself is very well made, the material feels strong and durable, yet soft and nice to touch. This would be a body warmer I would purchase for the aesthetics alone so that is a very big plus for me as some of the heated jackets I have seen don’t please the eye.
I ordered the black gilet – I didn’t add any pictures as the pictures on the site are a great representation of what you get.
The power pack is simple to charge and has its own little compartment inside the jacket so you can still use the outside pockets with ease. The power-pack doesn’t get in the way or look bulky which is something I was concerned about on ordering this.
The heating of the jacket works incredibly well and fast! It works by heating certain areas of the body which I feel works well so you don’t overheat, however there are 2 lower heat options you can select should you get a bit too warm. Turning on the heating and changing the settings is super easy with a simple press of a button on the front of the jacket and gives a soft glow to indicate what setting it is on. There is also the choice to just heat the front or the back or both.
Price wise, this gilet is at the top end of what you can pay for heated body warmers, however as I mentioned earlier, I do find the styling of the cheaper jackets would not be something I would want to be seen wearing, so if you are looking for a body warmer that you can wear out as the top layer, this is a good choice. I haven’t actually ordered a cheaper jacket to compare quality of the materials or heating capabilities, however I can say that this particular jacket exceeds expectations and I am impressed.
I am impressed with the customer service. My first gilet didn’t work electrically. But the company sent me a routine enquiry the day after I received and I let them know. I was offered a replacement immediately which came next day. The replacement works perfectly.
I went for the L-Xl for my 44 chest. It is snug over a thick sweatshirt, but it has zipped expanders on either side which make it a perfect fit. This is good because it fits well over just a shirt or a thick sweatshirt.
This is a very practical gilet in it’s own right even without the added heat. Plenty of zipped pockets, water resistant and machine washable. Finish is perfect and the zips are quality. But the heat really works well. Perhaps a bit too hot on the highest setting. So I tend to run it on medium. It’s fantastic! 50 quid voucher currently which makes this a bargai
Winter Heated Vest For Men Washable Fleece Warmth Sleeveless Jacket For Hunting Fishing Golf Outdoor …..
109.94 (at time of review)
This heated vest is not like the usual thin Nylon ones this one is a nice thick fleece, it comes in a handy zip-up carry case which as well as the heated vest also contains a net washbag, and a ‘Ecifee’ branded power bank which is boxed with short USB charge cable and instructions.
The jacket is not over thick but without the heating it is still quite soft and warm. It is a dual size vest, with a zip flap up each side which can be used for size alteration between small and medium, or just to make it a tighter or looser fit. There is a main zip up the front with a small collar around the neck.
There are zipped pockets at the sides, at the top right is an inside zipped pocket that has a rubber gland so you could maybe pass a headphone lead through it from your phone or music player. On the inside bottom left is a zipped compartment for the power bank which has a short USB lead for connection. This lead has a swivel connector where it goes into the jacket, at first, I thought this was so the lead could be disconnected for washing but I tried and could not get it to disconnect. Whilst on that subject, there is no waterproof cover to go over the USB connector for when washing, hence my thinking that the lead could be disconnected.
The vest has 2 heating zones and 3 heat settings for each, these zones are back (upper and lower) and front sides, the heating levels are high, medium, and low with corresponding button illumination in red, white, or blue.
The supplied power bank is impressive, this is the first power bank out of maybe 20 or more I have tried that not only reaches its specified capacity but exceeds it providing over 100% of its rating and that does not include the losses in circuity which are typically at least 10%. Being good capacity, it did take a while to charge from flat, and took over 8 hours but this could vary dependent upon what type of charger is used.
In use, the jacket heats up very quickly and being fleece it stays very warm, the battery lasted 4 hours and 20 minutes with both heating zones on maximum heat.
The vest is machine washable at up to 60C and recommends using the supplied laundry bag and don’t forget to remove the battery, (water damage on a lithium-ion battery is extremely hazardous!)
No doubt this is a good quality heated vest, it is well made and includes a very good power bank, but for a few pence under 110 I seriously doubt if it is worth that sort of money.
Winter Heated Vest For Men. Large. Very good fit. Heats up nicely.
97.86 at time of review. 5*.
Very heavy duty fleece which is very cosy on its own. With the heating on it soon gets very warm although it could be a tighter fit at the back – fine if you’re sitting down but otherwise you can’t feel the heat. Well put together and very easy to operate with any power pack.
It’s good to have heated vest especially when winter comes soon.
The vest came in nice storage zipper case with mesh laundry bag, instruction, power bank with its charging cable and instruction in box.
The vest is made of fleece like fabric and its suitable for men wearing size L and XL clothing. On each side, vest has zippers to extend the size to XL. This vest should be worn on long sleeve jumper so we still can feel the heat from it. If worn over jacket, it will not be as effective, the heat will not be felt directly.
Power bank is included which is great. It gives husband the option to use it right away. Power babk has its special zipper pocket within this vest so it can be connected to usb cable -heating system of this vest. Power bank has one button which shows the power level left on it. It automatically comes on when connected to usb cable. If power bank is disconnected, it automatically goes off within 40 seconds.
Once power bank is on and connected, we press the buttons on the chest to start heating up belly or/and back. It takes few minutes to feel nice heat. The heat is not that warm like some hand warmers but it’s always better than zero heat. Pockets don’t get any warmth. Front heat is located above pockets, higher on belly. The back has bigger heating area, which is nice.
Husband is happy with it. Price is to high in my opinion.
This fleece heated vest is brilliant.
I usually wear a L in my clothes so knew that a size S-M on this would be “slim / fitted” and it is – which is actually perfect. There is a small amount of expansion room available at the waist as each side un zips to give about 1inch extra on either side if you need it.
Lovely fleece material with a small amount of stretch to it
I intend to wear this over my normal clothes – but under coats / jackets when i want to use it in heated mode.
Comes with a small power bank that fits inside an inside pocket that carries the bank itself and that is where the cable is.
Controls for the heat zones (2 separate ones) are on the front upper left at the collar line so nice and accessible.
Amazing – it will get lots of use whilst watching the kids play Football and Rugby on cold winter weekend mornings
This is a really nice item. Something you could easily give as a gift because it is so nicely packaged and presented. The quality of the fleece itself is much better your bog standard fleece. its nicely tailored and finished.
Unlike other heated clothing I own, this one comes with its 5V 10000mAh battery pack, which already had plenty of charge in when it arrived. Everything about this is better quality than others we have tried, though that is reflected in the price. It comes in on a nice canvas bag bag and includes its own laundry bag.
The one we ordered was a L to XL. Compared to other brands id say this was definitely only a large. My other half usually wears either a medium or large and it was slightly big on him. Because it is nicely tailored it still looked neat on.
This items isn’t too bulky to wear under smart clothes, so will be brilliant to wear under a smart jacket when we have our November trip to Ascot, where we are usually frozen solid for the entire day, but the year the winter weather wont faze us.
Very very happy with this item
This heated vest is perfect for cold winter walks but the sizing is on the small side.
The mens L-XL just about fits a 14-16 UK size ladies.
Simple to set and easy controls. You can choose between three different temperatures and the buttons changes colour so you always know what temperature you set at.
It pre heats in about ten minutes.
Good gift for walkers
This heated fleece body warmer is well made and feel nice to wear even without the heated elements on.
The design covers the main part of your torso and has good quality zips up the front and two side ones to allow it to expand just a little which if you don’t want it super snug to your body I found were very much needed, especially as the power bank otherwise sticks out and you fell it in your stomach. So, on that basis I would aim for a size larger than you need as this L-XL was a Large at best really.
It comes down to the waist area and it would have been a bit nicer if went a bit further down as it felt a little like a waist coat.
The lovely soft fleece material is all very well finished with an open pocket on one inside and the other is a zipped pocket to put the power bank in and keep it safe.
The power bank is a good size so it lasts a long time and I like the other port options it has so you can charge other devices from it if you wish, although it came with an old style Micro-USB cable to charge it when it has the newer universal USB-C port on it so should have come with one of those cables to charge it.
The heated elements are controlled by two buttons on the top left, and I love how you can independently control the front and back ones with the 3 temperature settings, and they light up to indicate what setting they are on. While on they all heat you up lovely and I especially like the back ones for helping with my achy back. It’s like having a portable heated seat from your car with you for those long winter walks.
Overall, I love the design and materials used, plus the little bag it comes in to keep it all neat and safe during summer. It just needs a few tweaks to improve it and the price of 105.94 is very high for a heated jacket so it needs a good deal to become better value for money.
