As we all know, the whole con of the printer industry is to offer cheap printers which then tie you to specific, inks, I feel no shame about shopping for cheaper alternatives. This set appears in all respects identical to the original, and the prints are of the same quality. It also promises a similar yield, which I’m not in a position to vouch for at this time, but even if it was 25% lower you would still be quid’s in. Just remember to cancel firmware updates on your printer, the only purpose of which is to detect hooky cartridges.

This is a set of two cartridges. Black and colour.

Both were reasonably straightforward to install into my printer without much fuss. They took a little longer than it’s taken me with similar cartridges but I got it done quite easily.

The quality of the ink from both cartridges is decent. It’s not quite as good as the official HP cartridges I had been using, but there isn’t a massive difference and when you consider the difference in price between the two, it’s a difference that I am more than willing to accept.

If I notice any drop off in the quality of the ink as more and more of it is used, I will update this review. Until then, I am happy with the quality.

Here we have a 2 pack (black and colour) set of inks for OfficeJet printers that use the 62XL variant of inks.

The XL sides cartridges allow you to print 600 pages per black ink cartridge and up to 415 pages per colour ink cartridges – this would be at 5% coverage (A4 sized paper).

The inks have no issues with compatibility. I’d suggest you do not download the latest firewire for your printer – this can cause issues with compatible inks,

These inks are far cheaper then the original ones and print just as well, so this gets 5 stars from me.

    Thank you for reading.

Remanufactured ink cartridges are the most environmentally friendly type – much more so than OEM cartridges or compatible cartridges. That’s one good reason to choose them. (The remanufacturing process involves recycling used OEM cartridges by fully refurbishing, refilling and quality testing them). This Tomokep 62XL 2-pack contains 1 black ink cartridge and 1 tricolour cartridge. They install easily and print results are comparable to those delivered by OEM ink.

Before you install any remanufactured ink cartridges (or compatible cartridges), you should ensure that your printer’s firmware is at its earliest version (if it isn’t, roll it back to the earliest version). Also make sure the printer’s automatic-update checks are switched off – this prevents the printer from downloading and installing so-called “firmware updates”, which are actually compatibility downgrades designed to prevent your printer from recognising non-OEM ink cartridges. Printer manufacturers use this underhand tactic in the hope of railroading customers into buying OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) ink at ludicrously high prices. You can spend a fortune on OEM ink if you choose, of course… if you have more money than sense. Savvy consumers buy remanufactured or compatible ink cartridges.

Good budget ink however still on steep side. Had no trouble installing and printer recognised with no troubles. Print quality is same as branded inks ( at least I couldn’t tell the difference) colour is vivid and no streaks or smudges on print.

Why is printer ink so expensive? It’s like they’re charging us by the drop! Jokes aside, I recently got to test this non-official 62XL printer ink and I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised! Obviously – it’s significantly cheaper than the official ink and I’m happy to report that it works just as well on the family printer.

At this point I’d say it works just as well as the more expensive stuff. The only downside is that the packaging is a little different than what’s pictured on the website, but that’s a small price to pay for the cost savings. I think some people might be put of from it being a non-official brand.

One thing that remains to be seen is how well these non-official cartridges compare to the official ones in the long run. There may be alternative options that are cheaper in the long run if you print a lot – like a laser printer, or an ink tank printer. But if you’re someone who has an old printer for casual occasional use – this works. The newer models of the HP printers don’t allow non-official cartridges in them, so make the most of these off-brand cartridges while you can.

Cheaper and works just as well

Easy to install both cartridges, no errors or any messages that the cartridge is incompatible. It prints great quality prints, no issues so far.
The price is a bit steep, however it really does print great, so to be fair, i think it’s worth it.

This is a fantastic quality printer ink.

I thought I’d have compatibility issues however experienced no issues at all which is just perfect and a pleasant surprise! I have had so many issues with other cartridges so was sceptical but this was just perfect.

I have tended to steer away from non-genuine/recommend cartridges before because of this issue however I can happily recommend.

The print quality is great and I can not see any difference in the quality of the printing to the genuine cartridges which is great considering the price of them!

Installation was super easy as you’d expect. Print quality fantastic and great value for money.

    Recommend.

This is a good fit for mine.
No error messages -or incompatible catridge(s) yet.
Installation is pretty easy and smooth.
Printing quality is good and first is as good ad the 85th pages on day 3.
Good yield and price is slighty steep at up to a third higher than similar products ( 60 )

Great cartridges work great with my hp printer I get tons of prints out of these cartridges as they are the extra-large versions. The cartridges are easily recognized by the printer and lets you know the ink levels even on your phone they print out a crisp clear image after you run the automatic calibration with these cartridges.

    Excellent quality cartridges

Good Remanufactures inks that come in a HP type style box.

These inks are not OEM replacements but on first glance, you would not know the difference due to the packaging. The inks clearly state remanufactured on the ink cartridges and work exactly the same as the OEM branded inks.

The colours are very clear and the black lines are crisp. I have had no issues printing with these inks so far. These inks come warranted with a free replacement or refund within 12 months which is great and 24-hour response from customer service. The expiration date is standard with about 2 years expiration from date of order.

I am a happy customer as these are good value inks that I have had no problems with.

    Good Quality

These ink cartridges from Hallowlux seem to be great quality and produce a high yield similar to that of the original brand.

The colours are clear and crisp.
I have come to the conclusion that seeing as we seem to be in a financial crisis I would try to save money where I can and with regards to this order it seems to have been a good call.

I do think it’s a bit of a falsehood that branded ink is better than 3rd party ink.
Recently a well known consumer magazine ran an article with the same opinion.

To my eye they look no different.

I would note that I don’t take the latest updates for the printer as I’ve heard they can create issues in your printer accepting 3rd party cartridges, but that said I didn’t have any issues.
I press continue if it prompts me and bank the saving.

I hope this review helps you.

    Money saving

There is no arguing with a REAL HP product against imitations and compatible products.
The XL gives an extended yield.
A great product, though I would always say HP could easily charge quite a bit less.

This is a great pack for for saving money on the regular ones that are more expensive and these ones work just as well/same with a similar output and page yield and a very good quality print like the offgical. They are very quick and simple to swap over just like the normal ones and have had no issues with them so far so would fully recommend fully.

Super great cartridges for a very good price.
Easy to fit them and printing well. No any marks on paper and no lines.
This set of cartridges same quality as hp. Just a bit cheaper.
    Definitely can recommend them.
    Good product.

This ink is of a high quality, and it is a lot cheaper than the original. I would never go back to the original after having this as its far cheaper and the ink is just the same quality.

As ink goes, This pack of colour and black cartridges do a good job on photo quality prints. The price point could be a little more reasonable, But to be fair, The prints look good enough to put in frames. The ease of use is self-explanatory, With both cartridges fitting easily into the sockets like any other HP envy ink cartridges.

Even though these are not official HP envy, They still work well and do a great job at printing. My printer has no issues with recognizing them, So that’s a relief.

    So far, So good.

Its not genuine ink but works well with my printer, I noticed no difference in print quality compared to HP ink.

These are great for my office printer.

The ink is no different from the original HP ones and works just as great.

Good value compared to the HP prices.

Direct replacement and perfect fit like the originals.

Great and will order more in future.

I got this for my printer as I print a lot daily.

I have never brought non genuine inks before, always worried that it wouldn’t be good or consistent.

But these cartridges were accepted completely by our printer

I can not see any difference in the quality of the printing to the genuine HP cartridges

    Good clarity of colour.

Overall, installation was really easy and so far the quality of prints is very high.

Usually replacement ink cartridges are an inexpensive way of keeping your printer running (ink being the most expensive element). These are quite pricey for remanufactured carts but still cheaper than the originals and will at least be full of ink.
Worked flawlessly when tried in the printer which is a good sign and the print was easily as good as the originals they replaced.

My husband was convinced these non-HP ink cartridges would never work right in our printer. And guess what? He was wrong! They’re completely fine and comparable to original HP
