Die Hlle ist soweit sehr gut, das Steam Deck passt aber dann nicht mehr in jede Dockingstation! Die vom gleichen Hersteller geht dann nicht mehr.
The product quality is good and nice design, Is there any chance to get the free replacement of new ModCase also? Thank you
I’m a bit disappointed since people speak so highly of the brand. Its passable for the price but I find the material gets quite hot when using it and I wouldn’t say it’s too comfortable in the hands. It fits with the ivoler dock I have which is a plus. Easy to get on and off.
Pretty good case, only complaint is the power button being so recessed in. Gotta really stick your finger in there to turn it on…”that’s what she said…”
I have to say the case itself is good. it provides protection as it states. However, you can only use it when your steam deck has no skin on it. I had it for a few days and it fits perfectly then I put a steam deck skin and the case won’t fit anymore. to those who plan to put on a skin for the steam deck, you’d better find another case
Other than not having sweaty hands all the time this case with the steam deck is the next best thing to solid grip. Installed easily, fits fairly well and gives my hands enough air flow to keep them dry while gaming.
I love the case. However the top panel is not fitting perfectly. It is shown in one of the product images that the top panel is a softer plastic, I wish the top panel was as hard as the bottom part. Due to the soft plastic, the top panel does not fit perfectly. This makes it little hard to press the power button and the volume buttons. Again not a big deal, but had to point out.
The grip feels great and fits in the Jsaux case.
Definitivamente recomiendo este case, cumple muy bien su funcin, adems es muy cmodo.
I wanted a case with a kick stand, and this one does the job nicely. It fits snugly on the steam deck, the ports are aligned fairly well, slightly off center on the aux port but everything is totally useable with a reasonable amout of space around each port. My only disapointment is that the kick stand doesn’t stay out with a click or anything. The kickstand friction fits in the case, and when you flick it out, it can swing open and closed. I was hoping it would stay firm when opened all the way.
Purchased this case recently seen other had issues with the cutouts being off. Happy to announce mine was perfect! Not sure if it was fixed or I just got lucky! But this case is great for the price I noticed instantly It made my deck much more comfortable to hold. Don’t have much experience with the kickstand but seems good enough for what it is.
Pros: Feels solid and alright to hold: Good texture where the hands go to maintain a good grip while maintaining good access to the back and shoulder buttons
Cons: Top of the case not as well planned: Top of the case is very loose and doesn’t snap securely to the deck, and the recess for the power and volume buttons is too deep which makes it difficult to push
Unfortunately my friend dropped my steamdeck right after I showed it to him. This prompted me to buy a case so that I can avoid any further damage. Safe to say this thing has been amazing! And the stand is really useful too!
The texture is close enough to the deck it is not jarring at all. case has good coverage and good clearance for the ports. Vents are not overly covered. Kickstand seems to stay in place pretty well after a few months of use. Fits into deck original case.
Very worth while deck companion
Power button hole, could be a little larger.
Passt eigentlich sehr gut auf mein Steam Deck, knnte aber im oberen Bereich ein wenig straffer anliegen.
Ansonsten ein top Produkt, die Aussparungen sitzen perfekt und der Stand passt auch.
Awesome case for the steam deck. I have nothing else to compare it to but it’s very well built and comfortable in the hands. It even adds a nice grip to the steam deck from the natural oem feel. The kickstand is awesome as well.
I use it daily when it’s propped up on my desk or connected to my USB C hub to connect to my external monitor.
Worth it, you wont be disappointed.
My son says it’s a sturdy case. Plus the extra grip helps him not drop his steam deck. It is a little harder to reach the buttons on the top of the deck but it is manageable. The deck still fits in the travel case it came with the case on.
I love this case. Has decent grips on the side & gives me security. It fits into Ivoler docks nicely, but I can’t vouch for other docks. Still gonna need a screen protector though. Get a 3 pack for $5. Overall great buy
The only part that don’t get a 5 star for me is the fit on top of the screen as you can see in the pictures. It has a small gap and doesn’t sit flush with the system. It’s plastic so small drops will protect the Deck but don’t expect it to be like a phone case. It does include a kick stand which is a plus. It has a little bit more of a grip so I’m hoping that it can tackle my hyperhidrosis (sweaty hands/feet). It feels good in the hands and don’t add extra weight or bulk. It does not have anything extra to protecting your triggers after your done playing, something you should consider when buying. It does fit inside the case the Deck came in. All in all a decent minimalist case. Will update to see how this holds up with my condition. Enjoy
Update: Very nice case but it did not hold when my hyperhidrosis kicked in. Also, the power button on top is more recessed due to the case. Have to use my pinky to reach it. It’s still a 5 star case in my book.
The case does its job. Protects the edges of my steam deck and adds a kickstand which comes in handy. The only real negative I can say is that it prevents your USB C storage drive from going in which is kind of annoying. Its big enough to allow USB C charging cables though fine so no worries there
La cover ben fatta, perlomeno per quanto ho avuto modo di provare per adesso. Protegge la steam deck e non ne priva della bellezza della console, inoltre ha anche uno stand che permette di utilizzarla con comodit quando collegata a monitor ecc.
he case is nice, fits properly, only con for me is that the kickstand stands in the way the steamdeck fits in the docking station. overall really nice
I purchased this protective case since it was listed under Amazon’s Choice and I can see why: This is the ideal protective case for your Steam Deck!
So far, I’ve been using it to watch YouTube or Twitch streams after winding down from work instead of guzzling power from the pc and the kickstand, despite how thin or flimsy as it may appear, has never once collapsed on me even while standing on the bed!
As pictured, there are holes around the vents to allow for proper air flow all the while designed to look like part of the console instead of just an attachment.
For streaming, I could see a fringe use for the Steam Deck as a secondary monitor to view chat while propped up with the kickstand, just be sure to adjust the power settings so it won’t go to sleep for when you need it.
My only real gripe with the case would be to have a slightly larger hole for the power button, but that’s probably because I have large hands, and shouldn’t really necessitate any adjustments to compromise on it’s form factor.
So yeah, if you need a reliable and cheap Steam Deck case ($20 w/coupon at the time of writing), then look no further!
I ordered this product when my switch was in transit to my house and I put it on it first thing and am glad I did. I am the type of person who always has a protective case on something even if it’s not going to be at risk of being dropped or damaged this case gives me that sense of security that I need/want in a product to feel comfortable taking it with me to work and to my parents house and other places 🙂
The kickstand could be stronger, but as long as your toddler isnt going to lay on top of it, you’ll be fine. The SteamDeck is quite heavy for its size and your wrists do get tired so this case and stand is a huge godsend. Only other negative is if you have a docking station of any sort you probably wont be able to use it with this case and kickstand attached.
This is the only case you need to look at.
feels so nice in the hand with a real premium rubber construction, that adds extra grip and frosted plastic insert on the rear.
All the ports line up perfectly and comes with a built in stand like the Nintendo switch.
With the clear back if you fit a skin it would show through and look amazing.
I’m really liking the brand Jsaux and will be looking to try there dock as my next purchase.
10 out of 10.
It’s a quick on and off cover. This comes in handy.
It also includes a built in kick stand and will fit in the Valve Deck case and likely many other 3rd party cases.
The back also clear and has cut outs for the vent.
It will fit in most docks but because of the kick stand will be a bit off center and depending on the dock it may cover some of the vent. That’s where the quick removal is handy.
The cut out for the volume and power buttons at are a bit deep but manageable.
This case prevents the Steam Deck from fitting into the official steam docking station. The base of the console becomes too thick to fit into the resting tray, and the case’s extra padding makes you unable to plug in the docking station’s 90-degree charger into the top. — not so much a “buyer beware” as a “buyer be aware” so you know what you’re getting. This is still a great case if you’re never going to have a docking station.
I bought this mostly because I wanted a kickstand for my deck to keep the vents open if I attach a hub. I didn’t realize how nice the case and texture were. It was very easy to install, the kickstand works great and it feels like an enhancement over my standard Steam Deck. I really feel like this is a good value and I got a lot for my money. That’s more than I expected.
Great for what you pay for it. Only issue is getting micro SD cards in or out is a little frustrating.
I really like this case, having the kickstand is great for gaming while traveling and for when my wrists need a break. The kickstand is also nice for when I’m using a 3rd party dock, because it keeps the Deck upright and the screen useable.
My only issue is that it’s not compatible with the official Steam Deck Dock. The description does say that it won’t fit in the JSAUX docking station, and it won’t fit in the official dock for the same reason (too thick). That’s not too big of a deal, though. The bigger issue is that I can’t plug in the USB-C cable from the official dock because of how the plug is designed. I’ll have to see if I can either buy a small plug extender (like JSAUX’s right angle adapters) or if I can maybe carve out a little of the case around the USB-C port. It’s not too big of a deal because I can take the case off, but it is enough of a pain that I’m knocking a star off.
This case would be perfect if the kickstand could hold any position and not flop around when picking the Steam Deck up. Other than that it feels comfortable and it fits in the provides carrying case.
The rubber is textured and soft enough for ease of holding for a long time. It’s sturdy enough to feel like my deck is protected. I’m looking forward to long term usage
I like it well enough but dang the power button is a challenge to access. Have to use my pinky finger as it is so recessed. One plus is that it is now very difficult to accidentally bump the power button I suppose. It would be nice if they added an overlay to the power button area instead of having only a hole there so that it isn’t quite as recessed. Otherwise everything else about it is great.
Case overall much better fit for my hands, and the texture makes it less slippery if you get a little sweaty. Me hanisim for the kickstand is friction fit in the back which makes it not rattle and unlikely to fail due to its simplicity.
Only drawback is accessing the top buttons is a little harder because of the thickness of the case. But in reality it doesnt end up mattering much.
10/10 would buy agai
Stand is just a flimsy bit of plastic. Wish it was more like others that have angled setups folding down from the top.
Reasonably priced, and the Steam Deck still fits snugly in the official zipper case that Valve ships the Deck with.
Kickstand is great if you want to view videos or play with a wireless controller. Also the Steam Deck is a powerful Linux computer on its own and this kickstand case is a great combo with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse set I already had.
Absolutely recommend for any Steam Deck owner.
This grip/shell is ok. If you do a lot of kickstand play with another controller this will work well, however where the kickstand folds in makes the bottom thick, and it won’t fit in any docks, including the Jsaux V1 or V2 docks. It’s ok but not great for that reason.
I’ve been rocking this case for almost a month.
Pros:
* The texture of the case feels good, not too smooth and not too rough.
* The case is easy to slip on, and feels secure when done.
* The kick stand has greatly helped my experience when wanting to use a Bluetooth device or passively watch my deck.
* The transparent backings let me create artwork to put between the Steam Deck and the case, which lets me add a bit of flair to it without having to deal with skinning my deck itself.
Cons:
* Although I do have larger hands than the normal person, the power button access is the only button access I have frustrations with. Normally I have to power it on with a finger nail as my finger is too big to fit in the access space.
* The kickstand mobility feels ‘soft’ or ‘squishy’, and there’s no locking mechanism to ‘snap’ it into the fully opened position.
* Related to the above, but a separate con point, the kickstand has given me some annoyance when trying to either open it from the closed position or trying to fully close it. That is, it typically requires my finger nail to pry the kickstand open from the closed position, and I typically have to press harder than I’d expect to make sure its fully closed. That said, the kickstand doesn’t fall open or anything, it’s just tougher than I’d expect to pop it open. Basically, transitioning between states is more annoying than it should be, but when it is in the fully open/closed state I’ve had no issues.
Edit/Update: I feel I should mention that the Steam Deck won’t fit in the Valve Steam Deck Dock with this case on. However, I’ve found that removing or putting on the case is not a difficult task.
Really nice protective case. I really like the texture. The fitment is perfect. I only have two complaints.
1) the power button isn’t as easy to access. That area of the case needs to be tapered a little more for easier access to the power button. The rest of the buttons are fine.
2) the kick stand does not feel sturdy at all. It is sleek and not bulky but it doesnt really lock into position. It locks into closed but not open. Granted you wouldn’t necessarily be using the stand while playing anyway but I’d feel a lot better if I knew it won’t easily collapse while charging if it gets bumped accidentally.
I’d give it 5 stars if there was support on the stand; but the stand just kinda swings loosely and feels really flimsy/cheap.
Decent case though, the rest of the case feels pretty sturdy.
Pros: Decent fit & finish, (for the most part, see below). Texture is excellent. Built in stand is the reason I got it where it rests at a good angle for my needs. This case is also inexpensive.
Cons: Best way I can explain it.., it’s missing covers over the buttons on the top, in turn it would help articulate with the pressing of the buttons while helping to avoid digging to find them. The hinge needs a bit more resistance to allow for different angles plus it would be nice to have wider angles to allow for an almost flatter angle. The stand needs rubber feet or a rubberized texture to avoid slippage. Sadly this case does not fit their docks either. It does fit their folding stand though.
Love this thing as soon as I touched it. A lot more friction on the grip so I feel like I have a better hold of it. It does make the profile on the Deck a little bigger so this could be a problem for people who have smallish hands.
Saw another reviewer mention poor button access but that has not been my experience. I can access every button easily. It doesnt make the machine any hotter or change it in any way except to improve grip, drop protection and add the kickstand.
Kickstand is a really nice little improvement. I’ve definitely used it in various instances.
It fits, it’s not clunky enough to interfere with buttons, and it fits in the case still, but my main issue with it is the loose joint for the stand, and the fact that there’s no rubber grips in the bottom or stand. This means while it’s simple to use on flat surfaces, and it feels strong, you really can’t use it on uneven or sloped surfaces
While I do appreciate how bulky this is for bumps and what not. It doesn’t help that it makes pressing the top buttons difficult without having to adjust the Decks position. For example, going from controller position to pressing the power button. It’s too thick to just do that. Same goes for removing the micro SD card. Almost need tweezers to pull it out. The stand does it’s job just fine, but if you are not careful, it will retract back to closing position as it does not lock in open position. Otherwise it is a nice case, solid grip when playing. the thickness also helps in keeping the trigger buttons from touching the surface of a table.
The clear plastic should have a bigger cutout to allow for attaching magnetic stickers directly to the devicefor semi conductor coolers. They will get more popular as people realize they can use them on their steamDeck too.
The case was thoughtfully made. The JSaux team made sure that the buttons were still accessible while giving the case thorough protection. The shape of the case is very comfortable and the texture is very nice and grippy, allowing me to play for hours without discomfort. I do love the kickstand, it seems though that it doesn’t lock in place, which is the only downfall. It’ll still hold up the steam deck. All of the IO ports are still accessible with no issues, despite the thickness of the case. Overall, this is the best case IMO for the steam deck, especially for the price!
The case is flexible enough to be easily removed but fits the Steam Deck snugly. Moderate texture improves grip but not noticeable. Kickstand is sturdy enough, out of the way, and snaps in place solidly.
All of the holes for the jacks have enough room to insert the cables and you can access the top buttons without much effort. Good venting. If you are worried about it fitting into a dock, it looks like it adds about 5mm to the thickness of the deck in the middle.
Maybe if it was a little more raised on the bottom front edge, it might do a little more to protect the display area from a drop, but for 23 bucks I am very happy with this purchase.
I like this case on my Steam Deck. It fits well and is solid. I like the texture it adds to the area you grip with your hands. It adds just enough thickness to make the deck feel more substantial. I’m impressed with how well it fits around the deck with little to no gap. I like the transparent back, which allows you to add some cool graphics/stickers if you want. The kickstand is excellent and seems like it should last a long time if you are careful with it. It’s much better than the Switch kickstand.
For those with sweaty hands, or want to maintain a better grip on their Steam Deck, this is a great silicone case. This specific design seems to be made by one OEM in China, and rebranded under different names across Amazon and other online stores.
Yes, like many reviews on this type of soft silicone case, the cutouts aren’t perfectly aligned, and it slightly sags in the middle above and below the screen. But to achieve a more uniform fit, a harder material like thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) will need to be used. There are cases like that being sold, and they do fit the Steam Deck more snuggly — but I prefer the softer and grippier feel of this case.
Being as this is a case that adds about 2 millimeters to the shell around all of the buttons — buttons such as the face buttons and D Pad will feel recessed, and previously recessed buttons (“STEAM”, “…”, Select, Start) will feel even more recessed. It takes a bit of time to get used to, but doesn’t hamper the usability or comfort of the buttons.
Another small quirk of this case is that it slightly goes over the glass of the screen on the left and right sides. It doesn’t affect functionality in any way, and doesn’t block the actual LCD. My guess is they needed to make those areas slightly thicker for the durability of the case. Otherwise, the space between the touchpads and the glass would be about 1.5 millimeters, and that would cause the case to misalign even more, or break in that area.
Overall, this is a good case for the price. It adds grip and comfort, while not adding much bulk at all. The Deck still fits inside its hard shell case with this on. This case is somewhat loose-fitting around the Deck. But there are no loose or floppy areas where your two hands hold the Deck, and nothing slips off or slips around during use. There are options of other case materials and designs out there, but this is the most comfortable one I’ve used.
