This hand strength trainer is made real sturdy and has various tension settings, which is nice. Full metal construction with no plastics so it’s built to last. My hands are small so on the lightest amount of tension I can’t fully grip it. Someone with larger hands wouldn’t have this problem. All in all I’m satisfied with this product and will get plenty of use.

I got these because I have fibromyalgia and some other illnesses that make my musculoskeletal structure pretty weak and unstable. Besides not liking the texture on the handles, they work great! Not hard to change the weight, either.

My commute has become more enjoyable after I began using the hand gripper. I take it with me to the office and use it whenever I feel stressed or bored. The hand gripper metal is very strong, amazing and very effective.
I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it.

    Excellent quality

I tried this item after using numerous other hand grippers, and this one was very good comparatively, it can be adjusted to 150lbs and I think the resistance is a lot more accurate than some of the other plastic ones. I have noticed results after only a few days of using this item.

I like that you can adjust the tension to get 50-150lbs of resistance. I like that it includes squishy covers for the metal grips.

The downside is that if you adjust the resistance, and don’t fully secure the grip, it will slide off.

Aside from that, these are great. I’d definitely recommend purchasing.

Works well. But handle slips off if not fully secured

A useful hand/forearm trainer to add to your training routine or just to use when you’re sitting around watching TV. I work from home on a computer a couple of days out of the week, so this will be useful when giving my hands a break from typing and strengthening my hands and forearms.

Really solid construction. Metal all around. Adjustable to increase or decrease resistance from 50 – 150 lbs. Even at 50 lbs. it’s pretty hard to squeeze. I don’t particularly have large hands so that could be the reason, or I just need to strengthen my forearms more, ergo the reason I purchased this. In any case, I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who hasn’t worked out or for anyone with small hands. The grips are knurled, so they won’t slip out of your hands. They also come with foam grips so they’re more comfortable to hold, but also makes it thicker to grip, especially with small hands.

Overall, it’s a good hand grip to train and strengthen your hands and forearms. I recommend this, but not for anyone who hasn’t worked out or have small hands.

A must if you want Popeye forearms

I love that this hand trainer is adjustable and can grow with you as you gain strength. The cushions are also nice if you’re not into having your hands callused. My only fault is that this may not be ideal for smaller hands. I have relatively large hands for a female, and I have a hard time holding the hold thing in my hand when it is at the lower settings. I feel as though I cannot work my hands as efficiently due to having a hard time grasping the device. Hopefully I’ll check back in after I have the time to gain some grip strength with this!

    Viel Erfolg!

    Gut im Griff

Not a lot that can go wrong with these types of exercisers. Good price point. On a positive note, they do have foam pads for the handles which aren’t shown. However, the adjustment process is difficult to get tightened so that it remains on the selected tension.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe way this works is that you gave to twist a nut on the top of the handle in order to slide the handle and thus adjust the weight. Well even after tightening it the handle will sometimes slips down, you really have to go the extra mile to make sure it doesn’t. A minor inconvenience but otherwise it’s a great product.

I like the quality of these metal hand strength trainers. It appears to be made from quality stainless steel that is also no-slip on the handles themselves. For additional comfort, foam grip covers are included. I also like the adjustability of the trainer: by loosening two rings, the arms can be made longer/shorter, thus adjusting the strength needed to squeeze the bars together.
The only problem is that at least on my grips, those rings don’t tighten enough: once I adjusted the grip to the length I wanted and tightened the rings as much as I could, the grips still moved when I pushed the foam grips onto the steel grips. Not a big deal if you don’t adjust your grip strength very often, but if you share these with someone much weaker or stronger than you, it could be annoying. Since I’m the only user of these strength trainers, it wasn’t a big deal – but big enough to subtract 1 star from a perfect 5.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI had expectations from this but I have a mixed comments about this product. Well built product and works great for hand exercise but there are cons associatedwith it.

    My 2 cents below:

    Pros:
    – Works great as a hand exercise, especially for fingers
    – Tensions in the grip are adjustable between 50-150 lbs
    – Easy to use
    – Very small in size and portable if you want to take it anywhere with you
    – Seems very durable
    – They bundle a set of rubber grip too
    – Reasonably priced

    Cons:
    – I wish they bundle a carry bag for these

Good for hand exercise but where are the load markings?

I like that they are adjustable as opposed to the ones I had when I was young. To improve tension you decrease the length on the grips. The rubber/foam grips are comfortable. This is straight up what you need to improve your hand grip. I use this for grip training in BJJ. I would definitely recommend this for someone who wants to improve grip strength for Judo or BJJ.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI would say they are a good value for the money, but definitely not the highest of quality. I like how you can adjust the force required and the rubber padding helps to prevent blisters. I like how there are markings so that you can adjust to the exact desired weight. Overall, they are worth it for low price and good for someone to start training their grip and forearm muscles.

A nice hand grip trainer. This grip trainer can be adjusted which is really handy. You can start low and see your progress. The item is well made, very sturdy. Works well.

I’m really happy with this grip trainer. The build quality is super solid, and I really appreciate the adjustable design. You can lower the resistance by loosening the handles and sliding them down farther away from the resistance coil. It’s a very effective system. It comes with rubber collars you can slide over the handles, which aren’t necessary in and of themselves since the metal handles are nicely textured and very grippy, but they help to extend the range of motion if desired by making the handle wider to grasp when you use them. In addition to the quality and design, this is really reasonably priced too. Great piece of gear all around.

This is a great tool to start increasing your hand strength. The fact that you can adjust the resistance by sliding the handles farther away from the spring for more leverage works very well. If you’re just beginning your hand strength training and don’t know what resistance hand gripper to get, then this is a great adjustable hand gripper to start with. It feels very solid and the knurling provides a good amount of grip without being too abrasive on your hands. The handles won’t spin after being adjusted because the portion of the spring that extends into the handle has a D shape. The key is to tightly secure the adjustment collar by twisting both the bottom of the handle and the top collar in opposite directions. I’m really glad I’m starting my hand strength training with this hand gripper. If after increasing your strength with this gripper you decide to get a gripper that has more resistance you should know the Captains of Crush Trainer 100 lb. gripper provides slightly more resistance than this gripper set to the most difficult position.

I like being able to adjust these to multiple strength levels. Twisting it to adjust was a bit tricky at first, so removing a star for that, but otherwise great product. Experiment with and without the foam to see which feels better for you.

This is a somewhat basic but sturdy all metal hand grip. The grip strength is adjusted by twisting the nut at the top of the handle, then sliding the handle downwards. The further down it is, the easier it is to squeeze. There are strength numbers in pounds along the rod which you align the tip of the handle with. One of them has the handle on pretty tightly so you kind of have to tap the handle to get it to move. The other was the opposite and even when fully tightened it slips a bit. It’s not a particularly big issue, but you do want both sides of the handle to be the same length when squeezing or it might strain your hand muscles. I’m fine with the textured metal handles, but some people may want to slide on the neoprene sleeves onto the handle as it is softer. The sleeves do make it considerably wider though, so it may be hard to get a good grip especially when the strength level is set to the lowest. When you extend the handle, it is at an angle so the lower it is the wider your grip has to be. The 50lb setting is actually a tad too wide for my hands with the sleeves on. Also, I don’t think the pound ratings are completely accurate. I can squeeze the “150 lb” rating with some difficulty and it doesn’t feel 3 times as hard as the 50lb rating, more like maybe 1.5 times instead. Still, it’s pretty good for general hand strengthening exercises.
