I’m very new to photography and was looking for something reasonably priced. I’ve only just got it out of the box and set it up but it looks great so far. The remote for bluetooth is useful and easy to connect to your phone even I did it. The tripod is very light so not sure how sturdy it will be only time will tell but really happy so far!

Very lightweight and great for the price a little flimsy as you expand it but once it’s all locked in it’s fine

Pretty lightweight for what it is.

    Sturdy and stable.

Just what I was looking for can’t wait to use it more in the future.

Works with camera and phone which is great.

I got this tripod mainly to hold my phone while taking photos and I have to say it has been really good.
This is a lightweight tripod and does the job, it stays in the position, hasn’t toppled and really stable.
I have attached my full-size DSLR and it was pretty decent for that too.
Overall a fantastic tripod for a good price.

You need a tripod when you are taking pictures with a good camera outside.

Even if its just your phone that you take pictures with, you need a tripod.

This one can be extended quite a bit.

The thing I like is that it comes with a remote control that allows you to press the shutter and won’t have any shaking or movement.

    Very important for close ups.

I love this tripod and I can highly recommend it.

Nice light weight tripod for taking on the go

A nice, decent sturdy tripod for use with your DSLR or mobile phone. i must confess to using it more for the mobile phone than my Nikon camera (thou when tested it held the camera just fine and their wasn’t any wobble or tilt.)

The tripod is nice and sturdy and good for outdoor use. It is a bit light but in low wind’s it’s performed just fine. i do like that the legs are adjustable so this works great on uneven ground. I just wish this has a little spirit level in it like some tripods do so you can get it dead centre and level when shooting video or taking photo’s. it’s easy enough to correct on the mobile phone but otherwise i’m really happy with it. it’s not overly heavy to lug around for the day and it’s easy to set up and use quickly. the little remote paired fine with my iphone 13 but not the dslr but it’s a nikon so i wasn’t expecting it to work with it.

Great for travel. If set up carefully, it’s sturdy. This is not heavy duty but perfectly OK for general use and lightweight.

I’m very pleased with the quality of this camera tripod. It was very easy and convenient to use, is super sturdy, has a compact design and supports my camera without any issues. It adjusts easily, is perfect for indoor use and would most likely work great for outdoor photography and travelling. Comes with a nice and practical carry bag, a shutter remote and a phone holder. Would recommend. Great value for a reasonable price!

Lets start by saying I really like this “KINGJOY 60’inch Camera/Phone Tripod”.
So since I received this to do my review on it(for vine voices), I’ve been using it to film and photograph my other reviews, so it’s fair to say I’ve been using it a good amount, both indoors and outdoors, on grass, tarmac, carpet, and I can honestly say thus far, the only thing it has done, is “Exactly what I’ve needed it to”, so that’s cool.
So lets start with how “sturdy/rugged” it is, and it is, to a degree. It’s not billed as super tough, but what it is, is sturdy!, capable!, and I’ve not once had cause to think or feel like it’s in any way unable to cope or it’s flimsy/weak, in any way what so ever. The legs are the standard “3 section” telescopic (pull out/push back), configuration, and my philosophy on that is “why change it if it’s not broke?”, and it’s still a very capable, easy and familiar way to extended or take down a Tripod, and on this the mechanism, the slide, the lock off, all works well and as it should. The legs have a decent thickness that gives you confidence in them, they don’t wobble/shake like some thinner, cheaper made options do. The extension motion is smooth and feels solid, as is the lock off, you get a good tactile feed back of the lock engaging, so you know the leg is looked in place. The rubber feet give it a good grip on flooring, you have no concerns of sliding. The overall feel of the legs is really good, they feel solid, properly finished and constructed, even the centre strut has a nice soft rubber cap on the bottom, and the slide is smooth and easy on the centre strut when opening and closing, theres no risk of grinding or snagging when operating, and as I say I have used this quite a lot since receiving it for this review.
So on to the first part of the “Head” section of the tripod. This is the “Rotation on the X-axis”(Flat spin), 360degree. This works great, it’s smooth and consistent, it doesn’t catch or snag as you rotate, and is locked off by a standard style “Thumb turn” grub screw fixing, which works well, locks off easily and tightly, the head of the grub screw has a decent amount of girth so that it is easy to grip and turn “even with frozen fingers from outdoors drone flying”. On the opposite side to the X-axis grub screw is the “Y-axis” vertical “handle/grip style” lock off, giving the ability to face your equipment down or up on the vertical or Y-axis. Yet again they have clearly put the effort in to making an action that is smooth, grips well when locked off, and has a full range of motion as you would expect. I like that the handle isn’t “too long”, which some can be and they make putting away into carry bags tricky, so this one being of a good enough size and girth to easily and smoothly control the Y-axis and then fold down to put away into the provided carry bag, without that awkward “sticking out” that often happens, is great. It’s a hard plastic handle/grip with 6 ergonomic grooves giving you purchase to “do up/undo” as you desire.
Onto the main plate/facia that your equipment attaches(screws) to. It has a standard sized 1/4 inch bolt thread, as is universally used for equipment of this type, which is centred in a nicely “rubberised” plate,. Then too the left side has another “thumb turn grub screw” fixing, which can be used to turn the mounted equipment from portrait to landscape and vice versa. Again it is a nicely done with a decent girth to the thumb turn portion making it easy to use even with cold hands/fingers, as with the other there are grooves on the surface which provide grip. On the top left side of the plate is a small “spirit bubble” showing you if you have the equipment on a “flat plain”, I will say as a very minor thing that the bubble is quite small, and not visible if you mount a camera(DSLR etc) due to being located on the main plate/facia it gets covered, but for me this is an incredibly small thing, and what I call a “no issue, issue”, it really doesn’t matter(to me personally). If you where looking at this tripod to do “precision” as opposed to artistic work/hobbies, then perhaps it’s a greater point, but again, for me, its a “no issue, issue”.
So if you’ve actually read this far?, firstly “well done, I ramble”, secondly, I think it’s obvious I like this tripod, and the reason I’m so impressed, is that for the price that this is, frankly I think it’s a well made, very functional, and even looks decent, great little tripod. Well, it’s not little, it’s 60″, but you get what I mean. Now I don’t get paid to do these reviews, I’m sent the product for free, and Amazon ask that I give a “Full and honest review, be that good or bad(& I’m GenX so if it’s bad I wont hesitate to say so) so that shoppers have good, decent and honest reviews from normal people who also shop on Amazon. Basically I will always us the item a bunch, before I write a review, and maybe test it a little hard to make sure I’m giving a decent review, and I really hope they help.
On top of all that, this tripod comes with 2 accessories & a carry bag. Accessory 1 is a phone/tablet holder that mounts to the top giving you a firm stable way to mount either, and has a good amount of adjustment which will allow use of most, if not all phones, and a decent amount of tablets.
Accessory number 2, is a clicker style Bluetooth remote control button for your phone to give you the ability to take a photo or start filming without the need to be close to the equipment, and it works great, it comes with a battery fitted. I’ve used it to approximately 15ft, and had no issues. Pairing it to your phone is a very simple process that takes about 30 seconds.
    So my final thoughts on the ” KINGJOY 60” Camera Phone Tripod”;

Quality. =Spot on (Really very good for such a low price)
Aesthetic. =Good (The black paint has a nice “brushed” type finish, and the lock offs and hinges on legs have a decent finish too)
Utility. =Great (I personally have used it for phone, camera rig, ring light and a mic)

So as if we need to ask, Would I recommend the “KINGJOY 60inch Camera Phone Tripod”?, absolutely “YES”, I think it is a well made, well functioning, great priced Tripod. So again “YES”.

Great bit of kit, constantly using it.

The KINGJOY tripod is one of the lightest weight tripods that can extend to a full 5ft height I have come across. The leg sections are all made from a metal alloy and so even though the legs are very thin on the bottom sections the tripod gives a decent amount of support. I do like the black satin finish that has been applied. This is the ideal tripod for home use or stuffing into a backpack when going out, without adding much weight to your backpack. It hasn’t been designed for a particularly rough & tough life but it fulfills its purpose admirably if you handle it with a little care.

One of the features I paricularly like is the instant landscape-to-portrait tripod camera plate (it’s a standard 1/4″ screw fit by the way). There’s no adapter to adjust but instead you just need to release the tension on the plate and it can then swivel 90 degrees. My main camera is a compact Sony and the tripod supported it in portrait mode admirably. For landscape photography there’s a small bubble-type spirit level built in which some people may find useful (but I prefer to use my ‘eye’ to judge camera alignment).

At its most compact size the tripod measures a mere 16.5″ and fully extended it can reach a surprising 60″ tall which is quite impressive. The tripod comes with a thin carry pouch that has a pull-cord to close.

Supplied with the KINGJOY is a fairly standard smartphone holder which works fine.

I have a draw full of Bluetooth wireless camera shutter release buttons and do occasionally use them, and although functionally the KINGJOY one is nothing special I really like the huge button that has been used. The large button makes it a better Bluetooth controller and I reckon I would use the KINGJOY one in preference to my other ones. The device takes a standard CR2032 button cell which is supplied (and which should last for ages if you make sure you flick the ON/OFF button off when finished using it).

The KINGJOY is no competition for a full sized professional tripod but there again it costs only a fraction of the price and also weighs a fraction of the weight too (probably). I do think that it’s good value but for me the main thing that I find useful is the ultra lightweight and small size when it’s stuffed in my camera backpack.

For the money this is a very respectable ultra-light and well-engineered tripod.

This KINGJOY Camera or Phone Tripod that’s light, compact, and would be very useful for vloggers and photographers.

With its ergonomic head and three distinct knobs for the headlock, pan lock, and tilt lock, this tripod provides excellent steadiness. The non-slip rubber pads guarantee the tripod continues to stand and has a flips-locks structure that makes it simpler to alter the height. It also has a lightweight aluminum tripod that folds away quickly. It is mostly suitable with cameras and smartphones because it has a standard 14″ screw fits. It also has a remote control which enables you to capture photos more conveniently.

This compact tripod appears to be made of impressively sturdier materials and offers usage security. Because of how lightweight it is, I believe it to be rather practical for travel. Nothing about this tripod bothers me, although I don’t think it can support large cameras. Also, it has good adjustable legs and fits perfectly.

Overall, it has excellent quality considering that it costs 18.99. It has been quite helpful thus far, and I recommend trying it.

I got this tripod to use in my home studio so I can make practice videos for personal review or when posting online.

It has attachments to fit a phone to it and I think it’d also be suitable for various larger cameras too.

It folds up neatly, so is ideal for carrying around with you if you head out and about and it is also lightweight.

It is easy to set up and it feels sturdy and not like it’ll topple over as soon as you step back from it, or at the first knock or gust of wind.

It’s a useful little bit of kit to have in your studio space if you do vlogs, online videos or for other applications.

I love KINGJOY and honestly I can’t believe I ever went without one. It’s really a game changer and has made my life so much easier in a lot of ways. I use it for regular selfies but also for professional work as well. What’s more, the remote shutter is an excellent add-on that works like a charm.
It’s the perfect size, takes up very little space, and is compatible with both of my cameras. I love being able to take a great long exposure photo at night without having to deal with pesky camera shake.

You'll never take a bad picture agai

As far as tripods go this one is good for value . It extends to a full 60 inches so great for content creating and shots . Its not the most sturdy but not flimsy either. I wouldnt trust this in the windy outdoors or on uneven surfaces but in my living room it has done the job well . For the occasional use these are great but for professional use please spend more .

    OK for value

This tripod comes is supplied in a branded box and is inside a nylon case which also includes a phone holder and Bluetooth trigger. It is compact when folded but when opened up feels stable and the legs can be individually adjusted to compensate for slopes or uneven ground.

I actually got this to use with a Sony camera it is also good to see it can be used with my phone as well for video calls or shots that require a steady platform. The connection plate has a built-in bubble level to assist with alignment and is simple to adjust and lock into place.

It folds down to around 43cm long and is ideal for travel or holidays. At less than 19 it is very competitively priced and is offered with a 1-year warrantee.

Centre column can be raise or lower with the help of center column knob.camera position can be set with handle. Rubberised foot for better stability. Because It is lightweight so it’s so easy to carry. I use this with nikon 3300 and I am happy.

I actually got this to use with a home projector rather than a camera, but due to its compact size I may take it out with me as it fits nicely in a backpack.

The tripod comes in a nice carry case and when opened up feels very stable despite its small size.

On top you have a standard sized attachment so you can use it to connect your camera, mobile phone holder, or in my case – projector.

On top of the connection plate there is a small bubble level to help with alignment, the connection plate itself is easy to move and lock into place and it feels well built and secure.

The legs themselves open up using clips, I’ve had the legs at differing levels to keep it level on uneven surfaces and there has been no issues with its stability.

Included with the tripod you get a mobile phone holder which is double sided to fit a variety of different sized phones.
There is also a remote clicker so you don’t have to mess about with a timer.

Overall a great compact tripod for the money.

    – Bluetooth remote shutter
    – Carry case

The tripod is all ready to use straight out the box, no assembly required. The tripod features 3 way pan-head to help capture stunning shots, non-slip feet and quick flip locks.

It’s a great sturdy tripod, I’d be happy using with my phone or lighter devices however not for more expensive DSLR.

I have used a lot of tripods in my time shooting and I have to say this one is really good value for money, using a compact, dslr or if you want to just setup and use with your phone with the shutter remote for selfies etc.

It is well made as is the phone holder, strong but lightweight.

I have had my d610 on there with no problems along with my phone etc.

At 19 at the time of writing this review it is very good value, dont expect it to be the same as a 100 tripod and you wont be disapointed.

This isnt aimed at the pro market more at the content creators and occasional use.

    Recommened.

I do a lot of photography – so I was pleased to have been asked to test this lightweight tripod that can be extended to 60 inches tall.
    .
Take a look at the photo’s and videos too…

The advert shows this tripod with a full-frame professional camera mounted on the top. My experience is however that this is exactly what this is NOT designed for.

Take a look at the videos I shot – with a weighty full frame camera mounted this tripod sways and wobbles. That is no surprise – it is a featherweight design in aluminium that doesn’t even register on my luggage scales. In contrast, my professional tripod is massive, weighs kilos and costs a fortune in comparison.

It’s the accessories that come with it that give the game away – for with the tripod comes not just a standard 1/2 inch screw for moist cameras, but also a spring-loaded smartphone holder – and a remote control for a phone-camera. I pratice it turns out to be a very good tripod for making indoor videos with phones or lightweight digicams. You can position the camera from 1 foot to 4 feet from the floor – or on a table top to go higher – with good stability.

A summary of my findings – good and bad

At 5-foot extension, it can’t hold a camera steady against vibrations
At 5-foot extension, it is good to hold a smartphone or an LED ring-light steady

At 4-foot extension – it is good to hold a lightweight mirrorless camera steady indoors, away from the wind
At 4-foot extension – without the centre column extended this is good to hold small size digicams and camera phones steady, even outdoors

the tripod head makes it easy to flip from vertical portrait to landscape format – it also has a spirit level.
    it weighs next to nothing
it packs away to 17 inches long
you get a phone remote trigger and a phone holder – great for selfies and making your own videos
the tripod screw can also be used to fix small video lights – such as LED ring lights which are great for indoor shootng at close distances
once you add up the costs of the accessories included – this is a good value device

CONCLUSION: Ignore the box that says this is a “professional camera tripod” – Amazon has lots of those on sale at huge cost – which is worthwhile if this is your job. Instead realise that this is a very useful indoor tripod for taking selfies, portraits and making videos.

Please let me know if this was helpful for you!

I was hoping for better from reading other reviews before I received this product.

Need a tripod for indoors on a surface that’s not bouncy or moves? This will do!
If you’re looking for outdoors landscape shots, I don’t think this will be more than a fair breeze. I can’t blow it over, but I’m not the wind. Although I’ve only had chance to use this indoors myself currently with the weather. As soon as I can get out, I’ll come back and confirm it. I have fairly thick carpets around my house so it’s not a fair test in that regards.

Although it does have a video arm and provides a mobile holder. So.. it’s generally a bit of a bargain in that regards.

It is super light though and folds to a nice height. I can see myself using this as a carry about to get tester shots with my phone. Travel light, find spots!

When I get chance to go out and shoot a location, I’ll do a thorough testing and report back here.

So far, it doesn’t like longer lenses. Using a Nikon D5600 with a 18-140mm lens on weighs a total 905 grams, it only stays put when it’s centred. Tilt it forward and it just wouldn’t hold no matter how much I tightened it.
Maybe this is a fault and your product may not replicate it but at only a combined weight of approximately 905 grams, it should be able to hold it in position according to the weight limit. Maybe it just refers to centred weight though.

Considering this is on the lower end of Kingjoys line-up (and they do get expensive..) it’s most likely meant for someone who needs indoor usage or the occasional still shot at family occasions. It’s stability is there, it’s just wobbly and I can imagine a good gust of wind will have this thing falling over if you’re an aspiring landscape photographer.

Doesn’t feel as cheap as you’d suspect though but you do get what you pay for.
There’s a reason people say to spent at least 100 on a tripod. Got an expensive camera? Don’t put it on a 20 tripod. Although compact cameras for the occasional still shot or to take a family photo, this should work fine here too.
