I have to admit I didn’t buy this for basketball as I haven’t played since leaving school in 1985. Yes I’m old! As soon as I saw this though I had to have it as I had two other really good uses for it. I think they’re good anyway.
One is to carry a big old lace up brown leather football from the 1970’s for my dog to chase as he is obsessed with it but it’s such an awkward item to carry to and from his “pitch” of the day, plus it usually gets plastered in mud, sand, dust, and being leather it gets very heavy when wet. and it makes a mess of everything. If I carry it or put it in a carrier bag he pesters it and inevitably knocks it out my hand or breaks the carrier and he’s off again. Now I can put it in the ball compartment of this bag and he hasn’t worked out where it is yet. It’s usually clean and dry in no time too because the bag lets in plenty of air and most of the filth drops straight out.
The second use is to carry my cycling helmet, shoes and clothes after I’ve reached my destination. If the clothes get wet they dry pretty well and most importantly they don’t smell as they would in a bag without vents. The shape is really good for the helmet too.
There are various pockets and compartments that come in handy for carrying all the other items a man can’t live without plus snacks, drinks, towels, poo bags, etc. for the dogs.
It really is a very useful bag and gets a lot of funny looks but also a fair few “Where did you get that?” too.
I know I’m going to find more users for it too and if I think up anything ingenious I’ll update this review.
As bags go it’s really not expensive, especially considering its a little bit specialist and that always adds pounds to the price. If you’ve ever bought a camera bag you’ll know what I mean.
I can recommend this bag for many purposes and who knows, it might even be good for basketball.
It could come in handy at Halloween too as I’m sure it would hold an average sized pumpkin.
The design here is great – the bag takes a football (or other similar sized ball) and has a separate sealed pocket at the bottom for wet and muddy boots (which will need emptying and airing after each use or it will become mouldy). The rest of the bag is decent but feels average build quality and I can’t see the straps etc lasting long under heavy use. For just a sports bag without too much weight in it though, it will probably be fine for a while.
This is a great design – It makes it easy to carry a ball (football or basket ball), without messing up the stuff inside the bag. There are a few good pockets in this bag, including one in the base – ideal for football boots.
but…
Whilst the outer looks strong and well made, the inner pocket liners look quite flimsy – I am not convinced that it will last, so far so good – but I will update in a few months.
The “Ultimate Basketball Rucksack” from “KITSACK” is a handy high-quality rucksack that’s specifically designed for using for basketball training and basketball games etc.
The main feature of the rucksack that somewhat differentiates it from a normal rucksack is undoubtedly the large globe-shaped compartment that’s specifically for storing a basketball within. Being so large, you could also easily fit a football or netball etc within the compartment — so not necessarily just for basketballs.
This pocket (for want of a better word) is vented, so it doesn’t get smelly and musty. It can hold a full size basketball or a football up to Size 5 (which is a standard sized football size).
Along with this feature, the rucksack also has a large main pocket which provides plenty of room for a kit and/or change of clothes etc. There’s also handy side pockets which zip up, for smaller items like storing your watch or wallet etc.
The quality of the rucksack seems to be excellent. There’s no obvious loose stitching or snags where the rucksack can easily start to tear or come away from the seams. The fabric used for the main parts of the rucksack seems quite thick and durable. It’ll probably last my daughter a good few years of use.
The straps that go over your shoulders are also of a very good quality. They may start to tear where they join the main part of the bag after a number of years, if you’re lugging a lot of weight around. Although for a basketball bag, that’s unlikely. Unless you’re planning to carry school books in there as well etc.
All in all, my daughter is very happy with the basketball bag. Great quality, and easily good enough for us. Especially for the reasonable pricetag.
Have a nephew that’s is into Basketball, and this made a great gift. He really liked it. Plenty of space for kit, and good construction.
This is one great bag. Great for storing your basketball. It looks good and the price of it is cheap.
It can carry everything you need for when your playing sports, including all your drinks also. It is well worth the buy in my eyes!
What a great sports backpack! Really impressive, countless pockets for all of your needs, a ball pouch, double side pouches, two shallow top zipper pouches, large main compartment with great organisation slots, bottom compartment for trainers/football boots, earphone pass through hole and really good padding.
The bag is strong, well made and has lots of reflective materials, the amount of pockets and slots the bag has is amazing!
They really made every inch of this bag useable and serve a purpose brilliant!
This bag is the business. OK it might be a basketball carrying bag, but that’s not all it’s useful for. It also carries my bike helmet which fits into that basketball space perfectly. That for me is more useful as I’m cycling everywhere, so no more separate bag, separate helmet, everything will be in one spot for once. The bag itself, is well made, sturdy, has great reinforcement, has good reflective materials, lots of pockets, netting compartments, good zips, several compartments, great cushioning, I could go on. There is a small zipped pocket on both sides, two zips on the top of the bag for two larger compartments. One smallish zippered compartment at the bottom. I might have missed a compartment there are that many. Even inside the largest compartment there is a separate section with a small mesh compartment. There is a nylon handle on top, and next to that is a hole with a reinforced area for the passing through of a headphone wire. It’s a great bag, nice and sturdy. There are three top quality cushioning areas to protect your back, one in the middle top area, and two others to the sides. The straps are nice and wide and thickly padded, and there is a thin horizontal strap with a nylon clip mechanism to keep the main straps together. It’s a very good substantial bag. Five stars.
I guess this is a niche bag for someone who has to carry a ball about . You could also use the ball carrying area for say a waterproof jacket or ground sheet etc.
The bag is well made of a tough material, the zips seem good quality and there is plenty of storage pockets . The reflective stripes are also a good addition .
Underneath is a zipped shoe compartment to keep damp trainers away from other clothes or paraphernalia.
For the advantages that this backpack gives, this seems good value.
