Reading with it is a joy at night the new backlight is really nice. People keep saying the processor is slow, guess I don’t know computers, but I know an e reader,this is my 3rd one in about 12 years, it turns page’s nicely to, I don’t use it for the internet I got laptops for that.
Je suis trs satisfaite de mon achat. Je ne peux valuer la dure batterie, cela ne fait pas assez longtemps que j’ai cette liseuse, mais trs facile d’utilisation avec ma bibliothque municipale. Les explications sont claires.
Une fois la fonction de loupe enleve car celle-ci apparait au moindre “faux doigt”, la liseuse s’avre agrable utiliser de nuit comme de jour et a peu prs n’importe o, la plage comme la piscine. Toutefois pensez acheter l’tui si vous vous la protger lorsque celle-ci tombe de la table de chevet.
With the warm light, I can read late at night without opening any light. My eyes don’t get tired while reading it.
A function that I LOVE is the dictionary. If I highlight a word I can have a definition and a translation. It helps to read in english since it’s my second language. I also like that I can bring my kobo anywhere because it’s compact and lightweight.
I loved it so much that I bought one to a friend. So if you’re on the fence, BUY IT. It’s amazing.
The only downside is that sometimes the screen is not really responsive. I have to tap twice or tap on tiny icons to access something. It can also be slow at times. But in my opinion it’s worth it since it’s an amazing way to read.
Coming from the original Kobo Glo this thing is a revelation. The screen is much more responsive and crisp and the backlight options are outstanding. I’m very happy.
Took some time getting use to but I love reading on the device. It’s perfect with my kobo plus subscriptio
Replaced my kindle. Able to download all my epub books. Very easy to use.
This is a cute little device. Good for library in Canada. A large variety of books. Also support audiobook. Can browse some basic website.

It’s a birthday gift for my nephew, the kids nowadays don’t like to hold a book, so I hope he loves to read more, so I bought this for his birthday. So far he loves it, downloaded a whole series of Harry Potter, and of course some comic books too. So, I’m not actually own this device, can’t give much feed back
En comparant avec ma Kobo Glo HD qui a bientt 7 ans je ne vois pas d’amlioration importante l’exception de l’tanchit de la partie audio.
Par contre j’ai l’impression l’usage que la batterie de la Clara 2E se dcharge plus rapidement que sur mon ancienne Kobo Glo HD ses dbuts.
Very bad for reading manga but perfect for regular books!
It basically weighs nothing. The touch screen requires a firm touch. It’s my first e reader and I’m happy with the purchase. The charge lasts forever, it’s super easy to read. It’s small and portable. It can play audio books which I listen to with my Bluetooth AirPods and you can download free audio books from the library which you can’t with other ereaders. I debated saving money and not getting the audiobook version but glad I did and recommend it.

I do wish the user’s guide/manual were better organized. As it is, there is a bit of a learning curve that requires a fair amount of wandering through the topics trying to find an answer.
Had I have know how nice they are to use, I would have purchased one a long time ago.
Update:
Took a bit to figure out some stuff, but all in all, I’m loving it more and more. I don’t know if it is there or not, but I wish there was some sort of lock that would only allow you to turn pages, so that if your finger or thumb slipped and didn’t do some thing you did not want.
Oh, by the way, customer support is fantstic for helping dolts like me with silly questions.
Bought this to use solely for library books. To connect with Overdrive, you can simply sign in using your library card from the menu. All your holds and borrowed books show up instantly. And Kobo’s overdrive won’t go away with the support end of Overdrive app in iOS and Android. They are two different things.
I find the display easier on my eyes and the touchscreen speed faster than my few year olds Kindle paper white and Kindle Oasis.
Overall, very happy with the purchase. Only caveat is that the reading progress between Kobo’s overdrive and Libby won’t get synced.
No le pongo 5 estrellas al producto porque me parece cutre que, aunque sea de la gama baja del fabricante, tenga wifi pero no est previsto el envo de archivos de alguna forma sencilla. Se puede hacer y de varias maneras, pero no porque el fabricante lo facilite.

Very easy to read and battery life is outstanding. I used it an average of an 1-2 hours a day for 11 straight days and the battery was still at 40%. I bought this after my sone and wife raved about theirs and they were right.
Fcil de usar, pero difcil de gestionar los contenidos, ya que resulta muy engorroso el organizar las colecciones.
El primer libro electrnico que me compr fue el Kobo Clara HD, que era muy bueno y me duro muchos aos (y eso que se me caa al suelo un par de veces al da) . Este, el 2E, es un poco mejor que el otro, casi las mismas prestaciones y diseo con algn que otro ligero cambio. Tambin es un poquito ms grande (en realidad muy poco, pero se nota en la pantalla).
La calidad de la pantalla es excelente, el tctil, mejorable, la luz perfecta y la conexin a internet, rpida, igual que las funciones beta. El bluetooth an no lo he probado, as que no sabra deciros.
Sinceramente, creo que me har vieja antes de llenar los 16gb, ya que tengo unos 400 y no he gastado ni un giga.
Una vez, para remplazar el Kobo Clara HDe compre un ebook de otra marca, pero lo acab devolviendo porque no tena ni la calidad ni las prestaciones de Kobo, as que al final acab comprando este, que espero que me dure mucho tiempo. Tambin s que en un futuro, repetir y finalmente me acabar por comprar el Elipsa.
La persona que recibi este regalo, considera un salto increble del anterior que tena de otra marca y 10 aos de antigedad. Muchas funciones tiles, ligera y con gran capacidad de regular la luz dependiendo de la persona que lo lee y de variar el tamao de la letra. Sin dudar lo recomiendo
– Easy to access library books out of the box with a Wifi connection. Libby/Overdrive is pre-installed and just required me to sign in.
– Settings are good – if you don’t like seeing the book cover of the book you are reading when you put it to sleep or power off, you can turn that off in privacy settings.
– Dark mode is a nice feature, but regular mode is easy on the eyes too.
– Quick access to my existing Kobo library.
Minor cons:
– Screen response time is a bit slow, but as I’m not usually typing rather than just reading, it’s not the end of the world.
– I didn’t like that it showed the book cover of the last book I had open all the time when the power was off, but I found you can change that in the settings.

I’m beginning to love this ebook reader. I load my books using calibre ang it works fine. You need a bit of patience because loading sometimes takes awhile.
It has bluetooth but only works for headphones.
bersichtliche Sortierung der ebooks, sehr klare Darstellung der Schrift, sehr gute Hintergrundbeleuchtung mit automatischer Anpassung an die Abend-/Nachtzeit und diverse Einstellmglichkeiten fr die Schriftgre, den Zeilenabstand, den Rand usw.. Die Gre des Ereaders ist fr mich optimal, da sie eine Mitnahme auf alle Reisen einfach macht und das Gert nicht zu schwer ist. Ich verwende es mit dem Original-Schutzcover von Kobo; dies ist etwas schwerer als andere Cover, schtzt dafr m. E. nach aber besser.
Tiene todo lo que debe tener. La luz de la pantalla es excelente, tiene conector USB C, la batera es eterna, es resistente al agua (aunque no he vivido nunca un contexto en el que haga falta esa cualidad, los accidentes pueden existir).
Tiene bluetooth para escuchar audiolibros en su plataforma. El nico pero que le pongo es que ya que puede reproducir audio, quizs sera interesante que pueda reproducir msica para leer escuchando una lista, aunque tenemos el mvil para eso.
Lo nico que me choca es el precio de los eReaders en general, por la tecnologa que tienen los veo a todos muy caros.

Ordered for my wife who has had operations and problems with her eyes, so regular book reading is difficult for her, this allows her to change backlighting, and adjust the text size… she’s delighted to be reading again!

– no black color option, only dark blue
So much happier with this over a Kindle, and I don’t have to worry about Amazon selling my library and reading data or getting bombarded with ads when all I want to do is read my books.

I’ve had a few Kindles before, the latest was a Kindle 10th Gen which I’ve had for about 2 years, and it was good except that Kindles don’t have any way to change the sleep timer, or turn it off.
Any time you put down the Kindle for a few minutes, and then come back to it, and you are about to turn the page, and it goes to sleep!
This annoyed me so much that I just couldn’t take it anymore, and it’s why I moved to Kobo instead.
The Kobo is a bit more responsive than my old Kindle, and the text is a lot sharper too, and the USB Type-C is a big bonus. My Kindle used to take about 12 hours to charge, but the Kobo charged from 50% to 100% in less than an hour.
And of course the ability to read ePub format is a good bonus too.
It’s a pity Amazon are so stubborn and oblivious to feedback requests from people on how to improve their devices. I can’t ever see myself moving back to a Kindle until they give the user the option to change the sleep timer on their devices.

Estrema portabilit, se usato senza custodia non ci si accorge neppure di averlo in mano, tanta la leggerezza. Si legge benissimo ed correttamente dimensionato per l’utilizzo di tutti i giorni in tutte le situazioni. Peccato che per ora supporti solo la codifica Adobe DRM, ma non attualmente in limite e spero in un aggiornamento futuro

The item was as described. It works perfect for bedtime, and you can add pdf and epub books from your laptop into the reader!
Tried this oke because traveling carrying books can be uncomfortable and also wears them.
Have to say that now I love e-readers. Battery life is really good and it’s really comfortable to read on this device.
I like that it is small because I use it for travel too, you can probably carry it in your back pocket if you wanted to. But for me size is perfect for house reading too. I added a picture so you can have a better idea of it’s size.
Overall, if you’re thinking about buying an e-reader you can’t go wrong with this. I would also recommend getting the cover that they sell for this
The good:
1 – A sharp, readable screen that doesn’t refresh constantly.
2 – Very good, even lighting, that (optionally) changes colour for easier on the eyes reading as the evening progresses.
3 – Waterproof. You have the option of reading in the bath, knowing that if you slip, your e-reader won’t snuff it.
4 – Though I’ve yet to take advantage: Software mods are available to better personalize your e-reader.
5 – Very light.
The bad:
1 – The e-reader is made of recycled plastic that feels cheap (and likely a little brittle) in hand.
2 – Obnoxious advertising focused on ‘sustainability’.
3 – Responsiveness to touches can have a slight delay.
Overall, I’m pleased with the Kobo Clara 2E. It’s a pleasant host for your e-books.

Everything really is a matter of taste, but here’s my 2 cents on Libra 2 vs Clara 2e:
I originally bought the Libra 2 and the Clara 2e came out about a week after…
I really liked the fact that it’s Waterproof, but I wanted something pocketable that would feel comfortable in my hands and I wasn’t sure if the reader would feel too big.
Sure enough, the more I used it, the more I started to think that I should have waited for the CLara 2e to come out instead.
Also, the screen rotation, which I thought I would love was actually annoying and I ended up disabling it. If I tilted the eReader a bit while reading, it would flip the text on me and I had to wiggle it to fix the orientation.
Another thing that I really didn’t like, that I thought I would, were the page buttons… I didn’t like that extra bezel where the buttons live. It made it awkward for me to have to “worry about” which way I was holding the reader and holding it in Landscape Mode wasn’t good for me either – yet another thing I thought I would love. Weird…
So, I returned the Libra 2 and got me a Clara 2e and freaking LOVE IT.
What I love about it:
– I’m not tied to the Kindle Ecosystem anymore (drop any non-DRM ePub, text file, PDF, html, practically any format (except Kindle).
– I can even drop books from my Android Phone directly into the Clara with a USB-C to USB-C Cable
– Clara 2e is a bit cheaper than the Libra 2
– It’s waterproof (same as the Libra 2)
– It fits perfectly in my hand
– It doesn’t rotate the screen
– I have no buttons to worry about
– No wider bezel on one side to keep track of
– It’s the perfect size for my taste
– It’s kinda pocketable – in jeans back pocket or side cargo short pocket
– Battery Live is incredible
– I do not miss the extra screen size of the Libra 2
– I never read PDFs – it’s better to convert them to ePUB with an online converter (your success may vary here)
– Pro Tip: Use https://pgaskin.net/kepubify/try/ to convert your ePUB to kepub and fix image clicking and other issues
In the end, it’s all a matter of personal taste. What works for me may not work for you, but I hope this helps someone make a decision one way or the other.
