I was looking for a good quality SD card that works well for video. This does the job well. You will need a bigger capacity if you want to capture high resolution video.
Good little Micro SD Card, have used it in my child’s tablet for additional storage. Cost a little more than the others but I guess you get what you pay for.
I recently purchased the Lexar Micro SD card, it is fast and reliable, and I have had no issues with it. The card is also compatible with my camera, which is great. The card also comes with an SD adapter, which makes it easy to transfer files. I was very pleased with the fast delivery and safe packing. I’m the advertising it says that it is capable of recording 4K video and has a read speed of up to 100MB/s. I have been using it for a few weeks now but my needs are simple, I’m using it for my CCTV camera for Backup , I’m not sure how it will work with cameras which are filming 4k quality videos
Have used LEXAR SD cards previously and did not expect anything different this time round, from this brand.
Great amount of storage at a great price—fast data transfer. Very good.
good values and works in my Garmin dash cam, no issues at all
These work well in our outside cameras
Storage for about 7 days with permanent video on 128gb
I like the storage also can reviews on others ones also as I use it for the action camra like a go pro good value for money I also got autism which I notice by transfer files it takes time to upload to youtube
I typically use 32GB cards as this is the maximum capacity my car stereo can handle, and it’s a good size for storing music an photos. These cards are good quality at a very good price.
Great value, great memory capacity and arrived quickly. What more can I say?!
Reliability and value are the main points of interest to me.
“Long Story Short”
Good card if you plan to store photos and small MP4’s
Great for mobile devices, no issue with data transfer speed
Not really fastest card on the market but it is reliable storage without worry of loosing precious data
Well made card and very reliable
Good priced storage option
Value for money 10 out of 10
Bought these for a pair of security cams , so far so good !
The item was received on time and works – not a lot else to say really
I suppose this day would come sooner or later and it makes me feel old, I remember paying 50 for a 1GB MicroSD card years ago
This card works perfectly, fast enough read and writes that I don’t have any issues with it being in my phone
Incredibly competitive priced memory. Works great and gets good speeds. I even tried it in my switch and steam deck. It’s definitely not the best for those devices but it works fairly well in a pinch. For just a standard storage solution for phones etc it’s perfect.
Fantastic storage for 16. Perfect for installation in security camera system to store images locally. The quality is as you would expect for this brand. Recommended.
For a lower capacity SD card (64gb) this is a good option. At 9 it is a very good price. The quality is as expected from such a trusted brand. Impressed and certainly recommended.
I do alreadY know and use this brand, i do like it. And as expected this SDcard is really good, i have recorded some videos without problems and I am connecting to my iPad as well, so far no trouble in moving staff too.
I do recommend this brand
This is a great quality, inexpensive 64GB micro SD card that’s perfect for dashcams, security cameras, or really anything that requires a micro SD. It even comes with an adaptor if you need it.
The price is excellent (8.99 at the time of ordering) and although I hadn’t heard of the Lexar brand before, I can’t fault the quality at all.
Recommended.
Such a bargain, at time writing this it’s 15.99… for a god size SD card. I’m using it in my phone, as I take ALOT of photos, so the extra space is a big welcome.
Easy to install, and use, no issues… although usable space outta the 128gb so is 118gb
You can’t go wrong here. A reasonably large amount of storage, fast read times and a good price (8.99 at time of writing) gives you nothing to dislike.
I’m using this in an sports action camera and have had no issues at all. Downloading files into my PC for editing is as fast as any other type of memory card I’ve used, and I’ve had no problems with over heating or data corruption. It comes with a SD card convertor so you can use it in a full sized SD card device as well, or just to make downloading simpler.
Great card and great value. I will be getting more.
Currently using this in a camera for photos and to record video up to 4K. I have had no issues using htis card – it is clearly fast enough to keep up.
I feel that there are two factors that are important when judging an SD card – speed and endurance. I’ve been using the card without issue for a couple of weeks, but that’s not really long enough to judge its reliability over time. I will update this review if the card fails at any point in the next few years.
I tested speed using CrystalDiskMark 8. The listing advertises sequential reads of up to 100MB/s and writes of up to 30MB/s. I can confirm that these speeds are accurate, if not even slightly underestimating the performance of the card. Sequential reads were measured at 96.8MB/s and writes (most important for recording high resolution video) exceeded this, coming in at 43.79MB/s.
Unless the card fails within the first few years, I can’t really fault it. Recommended.
Got this to use for my GoPro and DJI drone and have been impressed so far. Great value for money and thought time will tell on longevity I see no reason why I should have any issues with it.
I ordered this to go in my daughter’s camera which only comes with a small amount of built-in memory.
This memory card comes with the SD adapter which is great for popping in the laptop so my daughter can easily see the pictures she’s taken on a bigger screen.
So far so good.
This micro SD card from Lexar is handy for a bit of extra memory for whatever device you have and you also get an SD card adapter if you want to use it like that.
The micro SD card is well produced and when I first plugged it in to see how much storage you get, my chromebook stated you have 117.7 GB available space (see my photo of my computer screen), which means there’s 10GB lost from the claimed 128GB which is quite considerable. It is normal for memory cards to have slightly less memory than the stated headline figure but I was surprised at this.
That is the only downside then from this card and otherwise it’s been great and I’ve had no issues with it connecting when needed.
Buying memory cards has become a minefield with so many fake ones not giving what they say they will. This is no reflection on the seller or Lexar when I say that I mistrust them until such time I have tested the product. Just because a memory card has 128GB printed on it and that your operating system states that it is 128GB, reality might be totally different.
This memory card arrives in retail packaging which is a nightmare to open. In the pack is the microSD card and a separate SD adapter. All looks genuine enough.
Testing the true capacity of a memory card can take a long time. Every byte of storage has to be written to and verified. I use a simple utility called H2testw to do this for me. I know it works as it has found fake cards in the past. The process took about two hours, and the results were fine. The capacity is a genuine 128GB.
The second test is for the read and write speed of the card and what is claimed by the manufacturer and seller. For this I use CrystalDiskMark. Speed can be influenced by factors outside the card itself such as the card reader or computer. So, you need to take the figures as a guide and not too literally. For this card the figures showed a maximum read speed of 71MB/s and a write speed of 42MB/s which seems to be at odds with the claimed speeds of 100MB/s and 30MB/s respectively.
Overall, genuine cards at a good price. I hope that helps.
Been great for whatever throwing at it.
4K on phone and 4K camera.
Transferring via wifi, and USB reader.
MP3 and 4K videos, playing and fastforwarding.
All seems to doing pretty good.
Staying safe at 128gb, as most “old” devices might only supports up to 128gb.
Good price at just over 15 with voucher.
Great card. This does exactly what it needs to. I am using it in my security camera with no issues.
Simple packaging, easy to install, storage capacity is great and the price is spot on.
As is usual these days they are using power of 10 Gb rather than power of 2 to make the storage sound bigger than it actually is. The “128Gb” is actually 117Gb in old money.
I’m getting write speeds of about 24Mb/s using this in the dedicated SD card slot on my laptop, which is admittedly a few years old now so newer tech may be able to provide faster speeds with this card though the description says up to 30, so you won’t get much more. You get a standard size SD card adapter with it which is always very useful to have, as you don’t always get on with a micro SD. Shame there isn’t a small storage case as well.
These days 64GB is not a big size, but still a useful size. I can install Raspberry OS on it and have plenty of space, I can take a whole load of photos and store and significant amount of mp3’s so it is still a good size.
Now in terms of speed, pretty decent speed if you go by the tests I did which seem to put it at around
95MB/s for read
75MB/s for write
Depending on application needs will vary, but having a respectable read and write is handy.
This Lexar 64GB Micro SCXC card is supplied with an adapter so that it may be used in full-sized SD card slot. This is useful for loading data onto say a laptop or desktop or if you wish to use the card in a device that only accepts SD cards. I have tried this one in a travel camera and with one of my tablets. I am mostly using it for storing photographs. It works well and the data transfer rate is fast enough for my needs. It works well for video on the camera and so I have also tried it in one of our indoor security cameras. It worked really well and I had no trouble using our wi-fi network to access and view recordings.
So this is a good value card that could serve a lot of purposes. 64GB is no longer a massive amount of storage but it will still hold plenty of files. If this card suits your needs then it represents very good value and is a solid buy. As such I am happy to give it my thumbs up.
I’ve used many Lexar products over the years, and they’ve always been reliable. This memory card delivers the same great quality and ease of use that I’ve come to expect from them.
To begin with the usage: this Micro SD card works as well as any other I’ve tried. I put it into my Samsung Tablet, GoPro Hero 10, and MacBook (using the SD Card Adaptor) and it simply worked in each without any setup.
The build quality seems good. The card has a little flex, but is firm enough. I can’t see it easily being broken or damaged. As I said above, you get an SD Adaptor in the box that allows you to fit this Micro SD into any SD Port – this is useful for cameras, but also just for accessing the card on laptops that often have an SD card reader, but no Micro SD card reader.
I found the reported speeds of 100MB/s read and 60MB/s write were pretty accurate. I was able to record 4K footage using my GoPro and transfer files from the card onto my MacBook using the SD Card adaptor in a very acceptable amount of time.
Overall, this is a solid card that I feel I can rely on for my GoPro footage.
