I got the quilt for camping, but I’m currently using it at home as an extra layer on my bed. I was weary when I first unpacked it as it’s so lightweight, but in a cold flat without the heating I warmed up pretty quickly with wrapped around me. I’ve only given it 4/5 because the real test will be when I go camping, and I’m not doing that until later in the year.
Extremely lightweight, keeps you nice and warm, I did not expect it to be as good as it is. Comes in a small bag which could be stuffed even smaller if needed. You hardly know you have it. Have used it in the car and as a throw in the house when the electricity cut out. Great product.
This blanket is the best you can probably get in every regard and aspect!! I have absolutely no regret or whatsoever conscience for the price, in fact I’m considering to buy a second one.
So good…
This blanket was a surprise it’s lovely and soft and so warm it has poppers down one side to make it into a sleeping bag type thing but we just used it as a blanket and was warm enough.
Got this as an added layer to my sleeping bag. Looks really good but not used it yet.
Packs quite small so easy to carry.
At last luxury while camping! I hate sleeping bags — I find them so restrictive, so when this came up for review, I jumped at the chance to try it out.
This is 100% duck down filly, ethics aside, this filling is amazing for trapping heat inside and keeping the chill out. It lives up to its promise here as it almost became too warm, but I can see this being fantastic autumn and winter.
Even though the blanket is very cosy, it is incredibly lightweight — it can be packed up (folding down to 35cm x 22cm) and put away much like a sleeping back and comes back out with a shake and a bit of plumping it back to how it was when I unwrapped it.
It is important to note that this is a hand wash item, only, which is a downside as I do like things to go through the washing machine. The easiest way to do it is to wash it in the bath, then remove as much moisture as possible before hang drying it.
Overall, an amazing blanket — warm, cosy and easy to pack away. 100% recommended.
I love the size of this blanket, it is a double bed size but can also be used as a single too by using the poppers. The poppers also allow for it to be worn around the body which is good for relaxing outside at night time. It is compact and can fit into its carry bag quite easily.
I like the material as it is soft and warm whilst being water resistant and easy to clean. It is lightweight and easy to transport making it easy to take camping or on a sleepover.
The duck down filling is super soft to the touch and is very comfortable to sleep in. It does feel quite thin when you first remove however this does not take away from how warm this duvet is.
This blanket is easily a 5 star purchase.
It doesn’t feel too thick, but it keeps you VERY warm. It’s brilliant for those cold nights if you have a conservatory that doesn’t get warm like mine.
Soft and comfortable to wrap around you, this is a must if you go camping. 100% would recommend.
If you’ve ever used a military poncho cover (a woobie) you’ll know how useful and flexible and comforting they are when you’re out and about. This down blanket is something of the deluxe version of a woobie. It’s super warm, very luxurious to use, and comfortable. I’ve very pleased with it.
Initially, I was a little disappointed on first opening this item as it feels very lightweight and thin. I wasn’t expecting much from it. Looks and feel are deceptive though, as this is a very warm and quite luxurious travel blanket/duvet. Sitting out on an autumn evening in the chill and this is lovely and warm and comfortable.
Like all genuine down covers it drapes very nicely over the body, leaving no gaps, so you get warm very quickly. There are poppers down too sides so you can clip it over your shoulders like a cape, but I found it tended to slide off too easily to make this terribly useful. It’s a nice extra though. It also works very well as a duvet. If you put it inside a duvet cover you have a great spare luxury duvet thats indistinguishable from a very expensive down one.
It packs up reasonably small, but it’s still pretty bulky. I don’t think its terribly practical for backpacking or hiking due to its size, although it’s very lightweight, but for camping out of a car it’s really good. It’s ideal to keep in the car too for emergencies or just sitting about in the cold.
If you love your woobie, then you’ll REALLY love this thing. Great item.
First order of this item did not arrive same day as stated and fue to not being home to accept delivery on new due date had to cancel. I was gutted. On my return decided to reorder and so glad I did. Its bigger than most of the others and filled with down – no feathers sticking out. Plumped up nicely. I can see this being very cosy in the campervan or even at home on the sofa thrpughout the winter. Well chuffed.
Fantastic camping blanket with duck down filling. Quite big 2 meters x 1.85 meters but very light and folds easily in small carry bag. It is very warm and water resistant. Great for sleeping in tents, campings or for mountains hiking when weather can be unpredictable and something warm is necessity but you dont want add anything heavy to your backpack. This is perfect for it. Also there are poppers on the edges so you can made a poncho from it and really snuggle yourself in it.
This down blanket arrived in its own storage pouch packed inside a plastic bag.
It is very light and incredibly warm!
It’s a good size. I have attached a picture of it spread out on a king size bed to give some idea of scale.
The quality of the stitching is good and there is a row of press studs down one side so that the blanket can be worn as a sort of poncho. These work well and the blanket stays in place even whilst walking around. When worn like this there is plenty of blanket left to wrap around your legs (see pictures).
When camping in cold weather even a decent sleeping bag is sometimes not quite enough. This is large enough to give two people an extra bit of insulation if needed.
This is light enough to carry when camping but would also be handy to take to those barbecues that tend to go on late into the night and can get a bit cold. It is also an ideal emergency blanket to keep in the car in the winter.
This blanket is light, very warm, washable and would be useful in many situations. Considering it is genuine duck down the price of 69.99 is very reasonable. This is going to get a lot of use this coming winter and I’m giving it 5 stars.
Lvkiss Down Camping Blanket.
Genuine 100% Duck Down Filling Keeps the Heat In and the Cold Out i also cant believe how light this thing is while slso being superwarm and cozy the integrated buttons help make this into a snug or poncho making much more versitlie than a slerpong bag i wish i had got one years ago.
This is a super snuggly down filled camping blanket which seems ideal for our bell tent holidays. It compacts down into a good sized bag and has a 20D outer layer which water just runs off. There are some poppers along one edge which allows you to turn it into a poncho for snuggling up next to the camp fire and is amazingly light for the warmth it keeps in. It will be ideal for a summer blanket whilst camping although I think we will be using it as an under sheet so we don’t get so cold on our air bed on winter camps.
The only downside that I can think of is that it only has poppers along one edge and hence cannot be turned it into a sleeping bag. But its the real deal with real duck down for a decent price.
This camping blanket comes in a drawstring bag that keeps it just plump enough to retain the feather structure, but compact enough to make it easy for carrying. It’s about half the side of a pillow (and could be used as such at a push).
Opened up it soon plumps up to a large double-bed-sized duvet. It’s got the feel of a nice sleeping bag and is comparatively easy to keep clean. It’s ultra-light and will certainly keep you warm though.
As with all down-filled blankets you get occasional bits poke out and escape. You can vacuum pack it for short periods to reduce size, but that can damage the feathers, so wouldn’t recommend it for long periods.
Perfect for a couple in a two-man tent, or just throwing over yourselves sitting in chairs outside on slightly chillier days.
My wife is forever complaining about being cold, this blanket keeps her super warm
The blanket has many uses, as a camping blanket, general blanket at home, or during outdoor activities (eating, watching sports, etc)
Really comfy
The Lvkiss down blanket is a good budget option to add an extra layer to your camping sleep system in the colder months , it’s filled with 100% duck down filling which is well known for its lightweight insulation properties.
The blanket is a good size almost like a double duvet so there’s plenty of it to put over you or it can be wrapped around you too and fastened.
The outer shell is 20d water resistant and has the feel of a sleeping bag , it feels quite thin but feels reasonably full and it’s really warm when you wrap it around you.
I do a lot of wild camping in the colder months , this will be a much welcomed extra layer when the temperature plummets in the winter, I will be using this as an extra layer over my sleeping bag.
The pack size is quite big as it puffs out, but down blankets are not supposed to be compressed too much so this is the right way to store it.
A compression sack could be used to get it more compressed , with a smaller pack size but only for short term use to save space , then it should be returned to its original stuff sack when not using to allow it to puff out and breath.
There are small feathers that escape from the blanket but not too much , this is normal for down blankets and sleeping bags.
Overall this seems a good budget option for camping , using a tent or hammock in the colder months it will certainly help you lock in the heat as an extra layer.
When I got this blanket I was a bit worried as it weighed hardly anything and looked so small in the package, so I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it up, it is very large, in fact, double bed size, there are some button at one end, so you can wrap it around yourself and do up these few buttons, so it stays on.
The blanket is duck down filled, it is extremely soft and very warm, so don’t be put off by the thinness of the blanket, it will keep you very warm, I was amazed by its ability to keep the heat in, the top material is waterproof and it is all stitched, so the down won’t move.
If you are into camping or just sitting outdoors this blanket is invaluable it is very well made and will last a long time, in terms of price, yes it is expensive, but a down-filled blanket is never cheap, so it is certainly worth paying for this quality of blanket, so if you can afford it, I would certainly recommend this blanket, I have given it five stars.
This down camping blanket is really well-made. It contains 20D white duck down filling that keep the heat in very well. It is also wearable (see my husband in the pic) . It is in a really good size that is fantastic for camping , hiking or even use at home if it is really cold and the energy bill is too high. I am happy for the price although a bit expensive. You can see the good sewing . It can be folded up into a very portable size. Easy to carry, easy to store ! Recommend!
