Fast delivery works as it should fairly quiet except under full load then it’s no longer quiet at all. not that heavy so easy to move easy to start every time ideal for what I wanted .
Easy to set up and appears to be a good quality piece of equipment. Only tried it out briefly so far but it will hopefully be useful when we get our next power outage.
Love the compactness of this generator, i am taking this with me to a festival next week as a backup in case my solar panels fail due to bad weather.
Great generator that will allow me to recharge my battery packs, operate my kettle and mini fridge etc.
This is awesome, the gen power’s everything in our burford motorhome, ours is a big boy mh , however silent this gen is not!!!, very noisy but put on eco mode this turns down the Revs but still very noisy!!!!!
Bought this as an emergency purchase for my mobile coffee business as my existing generator died suddenly. Good value for money. Struggles a little under full load and the first time we used it the rain played havoc as the cover we’d purchased separately didn’t have sufficient ventilation but have used it in fine weather with no problems.
We used this for our caravan when we didn’t have hook up. Great bit of kit, a little louder than I was hoping but would still recommend to anyone, started very easy every time.
This has got to be the quietest generator on the market. Easy starting, great looks and super quiet running. Very pleased with my purchase, and would not hesitate in recommending it.
What’s not to like about this generator? Relatively light, acceptably low noise and produces more than enough power to take care of most of your camping needs. Provided you monitor the power draw it will cope with most of your needs in the field or as an emergency power source domestically. The bonus for me was the amazingly low price deal I got on the purchase ticket. A great product.
This has been useful on a boat. It is quite heavy but reasonably compact. You can’t use it outdoors if raining which is not a surprise. It works well used for 2 hours at a time. It does have fumes but not too bad. It can support a kettle, water heater and battery charger ok.
A good buy.
I bought this as a backup power source when we lived in the country. It has a good power output and is extremely simple to use. It does has very clear instructions if you like that sort of thing.
It isn’t totally silet and gets louder uder full load as the engine accelerates. It is still quieter than my previous generators and has a much higher power rating. Not too heavy – A bargain for what it is.
Great size and quality is first rate. Little oil leakage small but annoying and causes little bit smoke when first started but seems to run fine and performs as expected for RV so fa
I replaced a 1kw invertor generator with this 3.3kw Maxpeeding unit which is a well built unit for the price, once filled with oil it started with half a pull and was remarkably quiet. This is only used to recharge the two leisure batteries on my Autotrail motorhome and when we need to use the microwave when off grid.
Delivery was good, although I had to be in and supply a code. .which was e-mailed to me. Genny is preforming well. . starts every time so far on the second pull. also seems to be very economical . . but more noisy than I thought it would be.
For the price it is excellent, started easily, power output matched specs, pretty quiet, not as quiet as a Honda but it is a 5th of the price. I’ve only run it for a couple of hours but no problems, for the money you can’t go wrong.
filled with oil and petrol, it then started up first pull of the cord, I’ve no power in my garage as its in a block its run all my power tools and my mig welder great generator with ease, quiet too.
Absolutely brilliant bit of kit ! so pleased I purchased it !
Worth to be bought. Good quality, easy to use and maintain even by my wife, reliable, nice ))
Purchased this generator about 2 months ago , delivered quickly
Had an issue with it being delivered upside down by delivery driver
And was some oil on outer casing
Contacted company who replied promptly and gave great service
Lots of videos on YouTube about this generator
But I’m more than happy
Price does fluctuate so keep an eye on i
It’s quiet for a generator can’t really hear it when in motor home
Easy to set up and nice build , delivers as expected , don’t have anything to compare with so not sure how quiet it should be but would be nice if quieter 🙂
The build quality looks good and the noise level is absolutely acceptable. It’s quite a portable and relatively lightweight also so I’m happy with the purchase. I’ve got a dual-fuel version as well and I have to say I like it too.
As described, this is an easy to use and quiet generator and with 3KW o/p very useful
Good quality and easy to use. Noise level is good for the size of the generator the weight is not bad would recommend i
It’s a little noisier than hoped but nevertheless it’s a good bit of kit. Very light to carry around as well. I’ve had it powering my 2k heater and a couple of lights in my workshop and it does it with ease.
Great that comes with all bits needed, heavier than expected but being week female I can just lift it!
Sad that no key start that would have been the ace on the product but comes with good instructions and easy to use. Have only set up to test so far but am how ready for what winter may bring.
It would be even better if it would be a bit more powerful & less noisy!
I purchased 2 of these with the aim to power the whole house, running in parallel.
Of note:
They produce their rated power plus a bit over.
They happily run in parallel – with 2 gens in parallel I can run a 5 bed house’s basics – lights, central heating, TV etc plus one heavy load at the time be it oven, microwave, washing machine, kettle etc.
They run cleanly, I have in testing run the whole house from them for many hours now and the exhaust is clean.
The oil is worth changing very often at the start as there are many metal particles, after a few oil changes it is cleaning up.
To run my gas boiler I needed to join earth and neutral – initially to achieve this in testing I took the plug supplied and put a wire between earth and neutral (not live!!) and inserted into the generator before engine start. I joined the earth connection on the outside of the gen to an earth rod . As a permanent install I now have had an electrician wire it in to the house, the neutral earth bond is in the isolation switch. Apparently many gas boilers will not light sucessfully with floating neutral.
Finally not an approved method!! but I extended the exhaust pipe using a 1 inch diesel heater’ exhaust from amazon. I removed the spark arrestor from the gen, made 4 cuts the length of the exhaust stub along the end of the new exhaust pipe using a pair of sharp scissors. I smeared on exhaust paste, slid the pipe over the generator exhaust stub, then tightened with a jubilee clip. It has allowed me to run both generators happily in the garage (seperate to house) with the exhaust pipe venting outside- not recommened for various reasons. Worth having a carbon monoxide alarm…
excellent backup generator started 2nd pull I tested it on the full house lights on boiler pumping 2 freezers working ,tvs on computer on , only started to really pull when I flipped the kettle on ! but carried on powering the house . I am ready for power cuts be that weather or government rolling cuts.
I live in London and honestly I cannot run it for more than an hour at a time as im worried about the comfort of my neighbours. Considering adding of a muffler as a solution to this
Nice and compact & is good quality build.Did a lot of research on this model and seems to have good ratings. Not started as of yet although we had a power outage for an hour in early hours in Nottingham today. Its a nice bit of kit that should power any household appliances.
So I bought this for the just in case moments and glad I did as I had a power problem to my house the next day (who’d of thought) and was able to power my fridge and my oil boiler along with charging up lights etc. I changed the oil twice after watching a review, also its easy to start. The one big negative is that the longer the extension lead you use the less power it will supply which in fairness is written in the manual.
Overall I would say that it’s a great purchase and will save up for their bigger version.
Easy to transport, easy to fill and, after the first start straight from the packaging (which took a while), easy to start. Lasts about 5 hours under constant running without needing to refill with fuel. Best of all – very quiet considering the power output. We run an Espresso machine and 2 fridges from it with no problem at all.
Well designed and reasonably quiet. Started first pull and ran smoothly. This is no substitute for mains electricity but makes a great back-up during an outage for average domestic machines. Compact and easy to store.
This is a well made unit, it’s not so noisy and I am impressed with the build quality. It has yet to be put through it’s paces but thus far is impressive! I’ve done the “breaking in” procedure that all generators and motors should get when new. It’s not in the manual but will extend life and reliability of your generator:
1. Fill with appropriate oil. (10W-30)
2. Add appropriate petrol (E10)
3. With unit not switched on, turn engine over by pulling the recoil handle out a few times distributing oil around engine.
4. Switch on start and open valve on fuel filler cap, start engine with firm pull on recoil.
switch to economy mode and run for one hour.
5. Switch off, allow to cool.
6. Drain off oil as per Manual.
7. Wipe clean area, fill with fresh oil.
That is the essential procedure to “break in” the new Generator for use!
This maXpeedingrods 3300W inverter gennie is really great, economy mode is relatively quite for a gennie this powerful, easy to add oil before first time use and it starts really easily and in testing so far it runs our SoHo office kit 3 PC’s, monitors, network switching and NAS file server fine as its an inverter with sine wave output.
Also if we do need more power in future, for example to run the whole house through existing home wiring consumer unit into a Manual Transfer Switch (fitted by a qualified electrician) from Mains source to Genni into the consumer unit we can always buy and pair another one of them with double capacity.
Also used it for a cutting and drilling project down the garden to power my 240V tools, well pleased.
If your in any doubt, take the plunge and buy one you wont regret it, be wise to the looming daily blackouts next Jan and Feb 2023 its a decent investme
I took the plunge and ordered this genny for the possible power issues we may face this Winter. It is quite sturdy. I commissioned it recently by topping up with oil and checking the spark plug had the correct gap. It needed adjusting to the recommended 8mm. Starting it up was easy and it is reasonably quiet. I tested it for household use with the genny outside – and it managed to start my fridge with no issues. I will be doing more tests soon so will update if I need to share something.
Compact and reasonably light and moveable. Only had for 1 day so not tried yet so cannot report on performance or reliability/durability. However the unit appears well made and is remarkably compact and portable for a 3Kva petrol generator. Will be very useful. Only downside so far is that when removed from packaging I noticed that floor under the unit was a fair amount of oil (clean) on the floor where it was standing and the chassis was full of oil. I hope that this is just residue after factory testng (unit is shipped with no oil) and not a problem – will soon find out!
Only just purchased so I cannot comment on the question of long-term use. I added oil (had some motorcycle oil in the shed that’s 10w-30) and it took about 400ml and some E10 petrol (it has a label for E10 so that’s good).
In terms of oil and when trying not to over think it too much… I personally go with:
(1) Having oil is better than no oil;
(2) New/clean oil is better than contaminated/old oil;
(3) Finally: The right weight is better than completely wrong weight but see (1) and (2) first.
Regarding the petrol… I use E10 and as I don’t use my petrol mower/hedge trimmer/blower very often (and I don’t intend to use the generator all that often either) I mix “Honda PRO Fuel Stabiliser” in to the E10 fuel can so it lasts for months and doesn’t go bad.
I tried a quick test of boiling a half full kettle of water from cold outside. It did just fine.
The generator is reasonably quiet but don’t expect a silent machine nor a low hum. It’s still a 4 stroke engine and when under load it revs up to cope with the demand. Note: If the video is blurred/low resolution that’s unfortunately Amazon’s compression of the original upload kicking in.
Hopefully you found this helpful!
Update: I tried running a couple of welders from it. Now this is asking a lot sometimes – especially when establishing the arc at the beginning. It was OK with the MIG that just happened to have flux-cored 0.8mm wire in it DCEN and no gas (so it wasn’t actually “MIG”). The generator was less happy with the little inverter stick welder but it did then run E6011 2.5mm at around 75 amps and E6013 2.5mm at around 80 amps (see photo) after a few coughs at the start – not that I’m the greatest welder as I haven’t tried stick welding in quite a while. Keep a tight close arc and it does do it in a pinch.
We have a Generator already 1.1kw this Generator isn’t that much bigger in terms of room need to store. Medidum size suitcase. Love this Genny it’s so much better having plenty of power on tap.
We use it on a yacht to charge the batteries if at anchor and run anything from a kettle to hot water shower on board, it’s ideal. Easy to use starts well. It runs the pressure washer excellent for washing the hull off if we dry the boat out.
Recommend this to anyone.
Really pleased with this bit of kit.
Very recently made a purchase on this MXR 3500 inverter generator.
Having just “run-in” “Genny”, it performed very effectively with little noise considering this is petrol driven!
I purchased this particular model for the output, it provides a constant 3KW! Most generators of this type provide only 1.7 – 1.9KW. This “Beast ” packs’ a Punch!
Very pleased with the functionality, operation and quality of the unit and recently fitted a hour meter indicator to it removing the panels to do so. All in all very impressed. Well done MaxpeedingRods.
Works well
I’m powering our boat and it’s ok
Would like an indicator of how much petrol is in the generator as I’ve run out and then spilt loads of petrol when filling up
First the good.
Yes, it’s Chinese-made, get over it. It’s small and relatively quiet for a genny at only 59db. Not like those noisy as hell machines on building sites.
It was easy to prep and started on the 2nd pull after priming it. And it was more than capable of powering a microwave, fridge, a small fan heater, and some lights. Although I did have to turn off the fan heater when using the microwave. But hey, more than enough to see you through a blackout.
It’s lightweight and easy to move around.
The sparkplug removal tool has a rubber gripper inside which helps you remove the sparkplug from the genny. Nothing worse than dropping the plug in the hole or worse in the case.
Now the not so good.
The 2000iS model does not come with an economy mode / switch, it’s flat-out engine revs from the moment you first start it. Unlike the larger version which does have an Eco switch, you’ll definitely burn through more fuel even if the load is relatively small. I shall probably bodge a throttle linkage in the future so I can manually turn down the revs, which will mean drilling a hole in the case once the warranty has expired.
Issue number 2. The manual says that after every 300 hours or every year change the spark plug … really!? So it eats spark plugs.
Issue number 3. The manual says to change the air filter after 300 hours or every year. Am I the only one that thinks issues 2 and 3 are a bit excessive?
Issue 4. The manual does not state the part number of either the spark plug or air filter. And it also doesn’t tell you where to get them from either.
Issue 5. Removing the sparkplug. Omg, the spark plug lead was on so tight and the hole where you stick your fingers through so small, with gritted teeth I was forced to use pliers to pull it off. I was so scared that I was going to crush the cable with the pliers. Why couldn’t they have put a ring pull on the top of the spark plug lead to help you get it off?
If anyone is interested, the sparkplug is a A5RTC, overall length 66mm with a 9mm thread which has a total depth of 15mm into the cylinder head. I found a compatible version called Rocwood AR5TC 13.85 for a box of 10. So I don’t mind too much that it has to have a new spark plug every 300 hours so much now.
And finally, it’s a personal gripe, there’s no runtime clock on the genny, so you’re going to have to keep a logbook to record how long it’s been running.
So add up the not so good and that’s why I docked it a star. Still a good genny though and I’m glad I bought it.
One final thing, pro tip, I highly recommend that you purchase some copper grease for the sparkplug thread. You don’t need to go nuts, just a light coat of grease up and down the thread will prevent it from seizing up on you. Nothing worse than a welded sparkplug you can’t undo. Trust me.
You can purchase a small tube from here which won’t cost the earth.

As with all petrol gennys it needs to run outdoors and away from open windows. Safety first guys.
I hope my review helps.
