These are great little machines…easy to setup and comes with a vesa bracket, works out of the box and have found support good along with OS download and rebuild is easy if you need to reset. The OS is limited for reasons of stability so additional win updates will add elements. The win 11 rotate lock adjustments will change the ability to swivel any screen…if you want this device to work automatically as a tablet does…then you might need to check the screen has a gravity sensor or the drivers work with rotate lock otherwise you will be on manual swivel options..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI would never have believed I could replace my full size desktop workstation with a tiny computer half the size of a paperback! works flawlessly including my video processing software and my CAD software. I did have to add a 4 port USB hub. It does run quite warm to the touch. As an added bonus I plan to use this on the boat as it runs on 12 volts. Love it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI got this device to replace a mid-sized tower used for my media and backup server. I added a 4TB M.2 drive.

This is a REALLY nice, little machine that serves that purpose perfectly. It’s fanless, so it’s completely silent. The case gets quite hot, but it’s because the heat gets dispersed out the heat sync case which keeps it cooler inside.

It has enough ports to handle what you’d need. Three USB 3, one USB C, two HDMI, a gbit network port, and a USB C port for power. It’s packaged with a VESA bracket for the rear of your monitor.

Will you be able to play a AAA game on this? No. What you CAN use this for is a nice work PC or a super media server. For its pricetag, slap in a huge M.2 drive and what you have is ‘the little computer that could’.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI am happy with the computer and was very impressed. Well until I came across a competitor product with a higher spec / newer CPU, same ram and NVMe storage for significantly cheaper.
Other than that it is a great machine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought the Quieter3C N5105 8GB in April 2023. It’s been running ok since then (now mid July 2023). It’s running Windows 11.

For the display output I use DisplayPort over USB-C (via an adapter obviously) and run it at 4k 60Hz. Something of note regarding 4k60 output is that it would not stay at 60Hz, it would always reset to 30Hz after some seconds. It turns out there was some OEM customisation service (forgot the name) resetting it all the time. Anyway I disabled that service and it’s been running fine at 4k 60Hz since then.

I installed an WD SN770 nvme ssd as my drive on day 1 and disabled the eMMC. Been running fine since then.

Currently it’s main duty is running a Linux server in a HyperV VM. That in turn runs various services such as a DNS resolver. So it’s a roundabout way of using a Quieter3C to run Linux

I hope the Quieter3C is still working a year from now!

I bought this to run my telescope and the ASCOM devices attached to it.
The risks of heat, power overload and performance have not occurred and the load stays in the low 20%s . So quite happy with performance.

I bought this one in an effort to replace a Raspberry Pi4b doing these things, running Ubuntu Server:
    * Samba NAS incl. Timemachine
    * Unify Network Controller
    * High Quality Apple Airplay 2 Receiver (external dac)
    * Some various Scripts for Home Automation

So far the Mele is doing all of these things much faster than the Pi with more or less same power consumption in idle (about 2-4 Watt with NVMe SSD). As it idles most of the time idle consumption is critical for me. Temperature ist very low and I can use an existing Anker USB-C Power Supply. The passive solution works much better for me than a fan would (power consumption, loudness, breaks over time).
For next Releases I’d appreciate a faster PCI-e connection as I’m currently seeing Speeds between 1.2-1.5GB/s (out of possible 3.5GB/s) and higher RAM of at least 16GB. Most important: keep Idle-Consumption as low as it is.

It’s a nice Machine for use as Low Power Server. So if it keeps running for month without reboot and issues I’ll stay happy with my purchase. Time will tell.

Works really well on my astrophotography rig and as a day-to-day home PC for basic everyday tasks. I’ve been using my Celestron Power Tank LithiumPro to power this MiniPC whenever I go out for an imaging session.

Packaging could have been better as the product arrived in just a resealable plastic bag.

I have done all my computer tasks on Chromebook for the past couple years. The exception is the need for Publisher. I kept an early version of Surface Pro to handle that need ~ docked to a desk monitor using Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately, it began to fail. I searched all options of desktops, towers, laptops, etc. during black Friday and cyber-Monday. In the process I discovered the minicomputer! Perfect ~ gave me Windows 11, access to my OneDrive files, 365 Office subscription and for a very low investment.
I am impressed with this solution! I do wish there had been a warning that a wired mouse and keyboard would be required to get the device setup. Perhaps obvious for a computer nerd, but not for a casual/retired/octogenarian ~ it’s been years since I had those wired devices around the house.

I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3 (Edge) without problems (using additional M2/NVME drive plugged directly into this tiny box).
Overall I am happy with it but it runs very hot ()while using windows) and I don’t feel that passive cooling is reasonable for this setup.
I ended up with adding external 80mm cooler (USB) that placed near the box to keep temperature reasonable.

Very good. Internet and Bluetooth is very fast. Computer is fast enough for most home and office work. No lagging even when watching Netflix and YouTube videos. The surface gets very hot but I guess that’s normal since there’s no fan.

Did a bit of research and this ticks all the boxes: 4K, bluetooth, fanless, low power consumption, recent CPU generation (the N5105 was released January 2021), Windows 11, tiny. Connected a monitor, keyboard and mouse, it booted up with no issues. Spent a few hours running Windows updates. Hooked it up to the TV set and wireless USB keyboard; it worked silently and flawlessly. Connected to wireless earbuds with no issue.

One flaw: it runs a little warm. Mounted it on a picture frame holder to give it maximum air surface area since the case is the heatsink.

Note: the CPU is an N5105, not a N4500 as reported above. Windows system information shows it is 2.0 GHz.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSehr schnes Gert, habe inzwischen 2 davon im Einsatz:

Ntzliches Zubehr fr mich waren:

This is a great little computer – it got really warm upon the initial boot and install of windows, but it hasn’t warmed up that much since. Windows 11 runs smoothly on it. Never the less, i stuck put aluminum heatsink on the top and it has kept the temperature down to a comfortable level, although it’s not needed.

When it’s plugged into the wall with the computer attached, there’s a slight high pitched electronic whine – it’s not LOUD, but loud enough to hear.

**updated info follows after a few weeks of use**
My initial worry about the sound from the power supply hasn’t been an issue. The power supply hasn’t overheated, or bulged, and the slight whine isn’t noticeable anymore where I have it installed. This is a GREAT little computer, I’m glad I stumbled across it. Currently using it as a tool for astrophotography to control the telescope & imaging – its running my needed software without issue, even Stellarium & PixInsight(for basic live stacking, not for processing).

This is probably the best mini PC out there. It is absolutely fantastic when used for streaming Video like Virgin Media TV for example. It is a very powerful PC in itself. It is surprisingly tiny ,about the size of an audio cassette tape and doesn’t have a fan which is why it is described as “fanless” and hence does not make any noise. It gets a bit warm but the thermodynamics are part of the design. All in all a most brilliant mini PC. It runs Windows11 Pro which takes maybe a couple of hours to set up.

I have found it has an emmc hard drive not M.2 as advertised. Do us a favou

I got this to replace a Raspberry Pi 4, because of numerous Pi compatibility issues (eg it run Windows apps in Wine because it’s an ARM chip, chromium crashes on youtube, and firefox won’t play most youtube content). The MeLE Quieter 3Q is more powerful and comes with everything you need to get started (including internal storage + OS).

Only problem I have is that it won’t recognise my Kingston AS400 m2.SSD (which has two notches, but claims to be compatible with the 2280 form factor that Quieter3Q apparently supports)

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our Users(Update not mentioned in the earlier review): Two of the larger USB3 A ports are actually 3.1/3.2 Gen 2, ie 10Gbs per second, not 5, with the third and the USB-C being 5Gbps! This is not mentioned on the advert, but a definate bonus!

This is a long review, party because I have noticed there is very little independent reviews on this particular version of the device on the broader internet (There are plenty for its earlier brother the Quieter 3Q, but very little for the Quieter 3C, which is the model I have). The 3C swaps one of the full size USB ports for a USB-C port ( 3.1/3.2 Gen 1 5Mbs) with DP and Power Delivery (can be powered by a PD USB power supply, power bank, or monitor/hub), and replaces one of the HMDI with a mini DP port. It can also drive three screens at the same time(HDMI, DP and USB-C) unlike the 3Q which can only drive 2 with its two HDMI ports.
Firstly, one of the very few external interviews suggest that their version of the 3C is slower than the 3Q (though they did have a pre release version). In my tests, and comparing with a friends 3Q, I didn’t see any difference in performance between the two practically (caveats later).
I purchased this device as a “second low power mini – PC” to use as an alternative to my Main Ryzen based PC, which whilst extremely powerful for gaming and productivity, uses a heap of power even when idle, or just browsing the web, and sometimes doubles up as a space heater.
I needed something small yet not a laptop for space reasons. It needed to be able to do Web browsing, watch You Tube, run office, and other “Home admin” tasks, yet still be capable enough to run some offline astronomy related analysis overnight.
    Physical:
The device is small and very sleek, as can be seen from the description, its shape is a smaller than a large smartphone (such as the Note 10, or iPhone pro) and about as thick as a Tape Cassette case. Although the outer case is plastic, rather than metal (there is a steel frame inside) the “plastic seems to be made of a material that can dissipate heat well, far better than it looks on paper, though probably not as good as metal, however, the plastic does allow the internal antennae to work well. The top surface is ridged (it doesn’t have any holes, despite what it looks like in pictures) which does increase the surface area.

    CPU:
The 4 core Celeron N5105 is not going to win any performance crowns, but it’s definitely more than ample for running Office, Chrome, Firefox and the usual medley of non-demanding apps, and even some less demanding games. It doesn’t feel sluggish in normal use. It’s definitely more powerful and yet more efficient overall than the J4125 usually found on these mini PCS. It handles 1080p videos extremely well. 4k can vary depending on the source, and I find most 30fps SDR streams play fine, but when you hit 60fps and HDR, some sources such as YouTube struggle, whilst many of my 4k HDR demo files in H265 seems to be fine.
    Internal eMMC Storage:
Its internal eMMC is no way near as fast as an NVMe drive, and benchmarks slower than a SATA 3 SSD (more closer to a SATA2 interface I would suspect), but it is very power efficient, and in practise, with most applications its snappy enough. You CAN fit an NVMe drive into it (though bear in mind its PCIe 3, and only 2 channel, so no point putting in a super-fast super power hungry and super expensive PCIe 4 inside), and bear in mind that it will slightly increase the power usage.
    Memory
It’s has 8GB Single Channel 2900 Mhz LPDDR4, soldered in and not upgradable. Not a lot, and may not benchmark highly but more than enough for its use case.
    OS:
It comes with a very clean full version of Windows 11 Professional (not home), that does not have any bloatware installed just plain Windows, and surprisingly comes with a sensible OOBE experience with a lot of “default” windows phone home stuff disabled, including the requirement for a Microsoft account! It certainly does seem quite clean, with no “value added store apps”, I have checked for malware as well as any unusual network connections). I did blank and reinstall Windows as I wanted a clean H22 install, and found the “default” Microsoft experience as slightly worse in terms of the requirement for a Microsoft account, and additional MS store apps added like Microsoft Solitaire! The BIOS correctly contained the OEM license for Windows 11 Professional, and therefore the installer did not ask for the product key.

I have installed Linux MINT in a dual boot config with GRUB and it worked fine. It doesn’t default to Secure Boot (though can be enabled if desired)

    BIOS:
Biggest Surprise, it’s a fully featured Bios with almost everything but the Kitchen sink in terms of settings and configuration. You could tweak this a lot, though the CPU does not offer much overclocking capabilities, and the hardware does have some protection to avoid some settings. Be very careful, as I don’t see any way of clearing the CMOS easily if a wrong setting locks up the POST.

    Cooling:
This is passively cooled. As such it does get quite warm and under load can get very warm, though not too hot to touch. Under normal use (streaming, web, office). I have not seen any Thermal throttling from the CPU (using HWInfo). Under continuous sustained and heavy load the CPU package can reach 73+, which is still below the CPU thermal throttling, but the hardware may induce some power Throttling at this point as I see the CPU switch from boost 10W to 8W a little quicker (about 20 seconds) under sustained load than some other computers with the same CPU, regardless of thermals. However, I have not observed any runaway heat. I have tried placing a large finned aluminium heatsink and fan on top of the unit, and that did drop the temps significantly under heavy continuous load, but I don’t think it’s necessary for normal use cases. Also note it is possible to play around with PL1/PL2 and boost times in the BIOS, which you might want to try at your own risk as long as you have adequate cooling.

    Power Usage:
Using my Macbook Pro USB C power supply, I have a USB Ccable that can tell you the current power consumption via a small LED display on the Cable. It measured 3 Watts on idle, and 13 Watts under load, very respectable figures and is perfect for my use cases This is with 2 screens and the built in eMMC drive (no NVMe installed)

    Conclusion:
A surprisingly good, reliable Mini Computer that is quiet and sleek, with Windows 11 Professional and no bloatware! Not the most powerful and not the most featured, but great for many people who need a PC for web/office/streaming, to hide out of sight.
I would have given it 5 stars, but I do feel it’s a little expensive for what it is, so giving it four stars, though its really more of a 4 and a half stars.

Really impressed with this little computer. I required something for file storage, running basic windows apps and work online.

Everything runs so smoothly. It is totally silent and I have experienced no slowdowns ever. I spent 28quid on an 256gb nvme ssd and this was very easy to install.

The build materials all make for a high quality feel product. The top dissipates the heat so can get warm but never to concerning levels and is a soft touch rubber texture.

It constantly amazes me, all this can do for its size and price. And it is totally silent. Fully met all my expectations.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for my home theatre and hooked it up with the projector. It works really well. The best thing is that it is quiet. One thing I found a bit concerned in the beginning is that it becomes very hot as there’s no cooling fan, but it does not impact on its function at all so far, so I don’t really care about the temperature as long as it works well.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAlready have a Mele “stick” PC. This is its big brother. The same footprint as a 2.5″ portable HDD (but thinner), still has room for an m.2 slot to add your own SSD and massively improve drive performance over the eMMC it comes with. Most stick PCs are powered using a standard 5V USB supply… This one uses a 12V 2A supply which gives it the oomph to power four USB3 slots (and an SSD). Dual HDMI sockets, Ethernet socket (in addition to Wi-Fi 6) and a headphone out socket. MeLe have even managed to squeeze in a microSD slot. All wrapped up in a reassuringly solid shell, and a VESA bracket if you want to attach it to a monitor. Windows 11 pro is pre-installed without any bloatware. Once Windows has been cloned onto an SSD, the BIOS allows the SSD to become the boot drive… The built in drive can even be disabled in the BIOS (kept as an offline recovery drive). Handles all the usual apps without any issues (MS office, firefox, krita, etc.) Along with streaming video services at 4K (Prime, Disney+). Even light gaming isn’t beyond it, but nothing more demanding than GTA3 or Angry Birds 2. Does get VERY hot if put under sustained load, but never slows down or becomes unstable. The sensors aren’t easily accessible to Windows but GPU-Z can report on CPU temperature… Tops out at c. 83C under full load, dropping to 53C if lying flat or 43C when stood on its end (in a vertical laptop stand) when idling.

It is an excellent mini PC. I’ve been using it for almost three weeks and it has worked flawlessly. It can get hot when doing e. g. a Windows Update, so I also bought AC Infinity MULTIFAN S1 (ASIN: B00G059G86) and it takes care of the high temperature even at the fan lowest setting (it has three: Hi/Med/Lo). Looking for a travel size, portable computer that can be operated remotely, this computer fit the bill. The demand on the cpu can be heavy but the relative light duty of the software I use, this machine handles it like a champ so far. Though utilized to manage a number of programs simultaneously for astro imaging, processing is done on a far more robust computer. What a gem this computer has been so far. Not a gammer so not sure of its ability to manage heavy graphic intensive demand but for what I use it for, great value. Came well packaged, though some of the hydro adapters for other countries, appeared to be missing the one I needed was there.

Just wow. Wanted to reduce power consumption of an old i5 tower. This little pc more than replaced it. It runs circles around it! As others have noted it does get warm but that’s by design, as the metal case doubles as a heatsink – dissipating the heat from the cpu. Just don’t stack stuff on it and you should be fine. No noisy fans or rotating hard drives – no noise at all! Runs two older hd led displays with no problem. Looking forward to getting a couple of 4k monitors but so far a very impressive little pc!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was a bit apprehensive at first, but after doing some research, I decided to purchase it for use as a Ubuntu 22.04 computer on which to run my Plex server that feeds two Apple TV 4K and a Roku Premiere using an aging D-Link DNS-323 NAS.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this for websurfing. It handles at least 25 open tabs without a glitch. Video is excellent. The box gets hot. It has protection against overheating. But I like to do mods, so I cooled it down by attaching an old CPU’s heatsink/fan. The 12V fan makes NO NOISE if you use a 5V power supply. Now the box stays cool!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDecided to downsize from my massive noisy tower PC and have now been using this mini silent pc for a week now and have found it is handling everything I have installed on it so far. It came pre installed with Windows 11 Pro which only asks a few basic questions to setup and then the inevitable many hours of Windows updates to get things up to date. I have also purchased Microsoft Office Offline version and installed those plus some old gems like Paintshop Pro 9, Windows Live Mail 2011 and Steam.
Has 2 HDMI ports for running 2 monitors as I do, an audio out standard jack so my powered speakers worked with no issues, but best of all is the 4 USB 3.0 ports which means my wired keyboard, mouse and printer all connect at same time with spare one for webcam or flash drive.
Gaming wise I have only got around to installing Steam and old games like Half Life 2 run as good as my old pc but will try new games like Portal 2, GTA4 and minecraft over coming days.
Slightly annoyed at time of writing this review MeLE have 3 different listings on Amazon for this item and all different prices, a sponsored link at 295.99, an amazons choice listing at 289.99 but you can apply a 30 pound voucher, thus 259.99, which is what I paid, but now a limited time deal of 229.49 which if you are quick is a great price!
So basically if you want a small, and I mean small, SILENT pc with latest OS that is ideal for browsing internet, emailing, basic gaming, Excel and Word then give it a go.

I’ve owned 2 of the older Quieter2 computers for awhile now and been quiet happy with them. The Quieter3Q is pretty much the exact same only with a significantly beefier processor. While not a gaming computer by any definition it does handle Minecraft surprisingly well, aside from a slightly long initial loading screen. Overall exceedingly happy with the system.

    Bref; no regerts 😉

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been outgrowing my collection of Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB and have been looking for something more powerful. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter reading nearly all positive reviews, I was super-excited to purchase this on Prime Day (and the Microsoftware). Unfortunately, when I set it up, it got So hot so quickly— within 15minutes, that my hand burned when I picked it up. There is a warning that due to no fan it will get “warm.” No, this was HOT.
So I returned it, and Amazon graciously refunded my software subscription that I’ll eventually need again if I buy a new PC, but will be sticking to my Mac for now.
Maybe this was a defective item, and you can still take a chance on buying, because aside from the heat, it booted up quickly, and the colors are amazing, even on my 5 year old monitor.

This pc is absolutely amazing. Really small so can be taken around and attached to whatever hdmi (hotel conferences etc). Also fanless so no noise whatsoever is produced, though the power supply is occasionally a bit squeaky. The upgrade from the previous model is noticeable, the CPU is more powerful and has a much better integrated graphics and the ram is faster, though still single channel.

Bought this to replace an AMD A6 that broke down. This is really impressive for the sub 200 price especially with the new Celeron chip. It will handle Xbox cloud gaming and much much better than my old PC did, it’s pretty useful for retro gaming. It will handle 4K 60fps no problem in video playback and the system feels very snappy.

Only concern is that the top of system box will run hot. Great for winter as an extra heat source, not so good when it’s a hot summer’s day.

Would recommend and totally love the portable small factor which means it can be taken anywhere.

I am using this on my living room tv really only so I don’t have to leave the gaming pc, that is also connected to this tv, turned on half the day when all I do is lightweight stuff. And it does its job. It’s not all buttery smooth but that would be an unreasonable expectation. It’s nice to see their staff answering questions, good job AND good answers too. What I am missing is a dedicated web page for the 3Q with bios updates, drivers and backup Win11 images, and more than anything, an international user forum. My machine has a few little quirks like not waking from sleep when my Samsung USB stick is plugged in, not being able to boot from the internal SD-card reader and a few more. This is why a dedicated forum page where customers can assist each other would be so very helpful. I expected tiny flaws. But it would be nice if we can talk about them. SO, in a nutshell. A fine little PC but please improve the web site.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExtremely pleased with purchase. I usually wouldn’t consider a Celeron PC but I took a chance on the N5105 being one of the latest generation and after checking reviews of this box. I am more that happy with its performance. It runs just as well as any older PC I have with 7th Gen i3/i5 processor. Windows 11 ( 21H2 ) runs very smooth. The 8GB of RAM although not upgradable is sufficient. The system is barely pushed even when I tried to over test to limit. CPU & RAM performance are steady producing minimal heat from the box. There are more than enough ports with the dual monitor output thru HDMI a bonus. HD graphics are good & PC handles streaming well. Once I was happy that it wasn’t a pig in a poke I upgraded with 1TB NVMe drive & Bluetooth KB & mouse set. A tidy little PC packed with same outputs as a standard desktop yet with tiny footprint. It looks great when you do notice it sitting on the desk, as there is not a sound out of it. Excellent value, great price if you just want to upgrade to a standard Windows 11 pro workstation for basic office work internet etc.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this for silent web browsing and daw-usage. It’s not the fastest machine out there, but the silence and form factor make up for that. Memory is single channel which hurts the gpu performance so gaming is mostly out of the question. But for every day tasks it gets the job done if you don’t expect blazing fast response.

Under high load the chassis may get little warm to touch, but I haven’t seen any throttling. I actually attached it to my electric table’s metal leg which works as extra heat sink and temperatures rarely exceed 60 c.

Haven’t tested the SD card slot yet.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI spent a lot of time looking for a mini-PC that was ideal for controlling my telescope. This one seemed to fit the bill.

I’ve now been using it for a while and it works really well.

    * Controls all my kit via its built-in USB ports (Mount via EQDIR, main imaging camera, filter wheel, guiding camera, auto-focusser)

    * Runs at about 35 degrees C … I was worried about how hot it might get, but perfect for an outdoors telescope control computer.

    * The N5105 processor combined with Windows 11 Pro makes it very snappy in general use. All my astrophotography software works very smoothly and I can do email/watch videos etc via remote desktop with no problems.

    * Wifi in my back garden works well and consistently gives me more than 10MB/s using a wifi extender in my garage.

I would happily use this as a general day-to-day PC in my office, but am even happier having it as the brains of my backyard telescope 🙂

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWindows 11 Pro pe installed, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, with an upgradable M.2 SSD slot.
4 USB 3.0, 2 HDMI, AUX, Ethernet, and Micro SD Card slots.

This mini PC can replace a bulky computer in an office area. Great for document editing and browsing the web. 4K videos play smoothly on average FPS. It can also handle multiple monitor outputs.
Build quality is great, the solid metal case dissipated the little heat that this mini PC creates. As a low-power device, it doesn’t get hot that much.

Great mini PC for the price.

Excellent Mini PC, with great iO and speedy internals

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis review is for Queter3Q with Intel N5105.
I use it as a WiFi hotspot with two external antennas and an external WiFi adapter. It automatically detects a network and creates a hotspot at start.
The machine boots in 1-2 minutes. BIOS has all settings enabled (quite a lot), but I could not find PowerOn-Autoboot feature (though it was stated on a MeLe website for the Quieter2 model). Windows recovery can be booted from BIOS. BIOS can be entered with F7.
Yes – storage is a little bit slow, but it does not disturb me. I read about heat issues when someone tried to plug a NVMe inside. I did not test it. Without NVMe I can tell it gets a bit warm when used with plugged-in USB devices. The BIOS says around 105 and it will shut the device down. In the one week I have this device, this did never happen. Also the temperature seems very good for a fanless device.
I use the LAN port to access RDP and configured the network interface to a fixed IP. It works like a charm.
The device is a lightweight, but looks really solid due to it’s rippled surface. If you plug-in some cables, sometimes the device moves a bit. I guess that is why it comes with a mount holder.
The N5105 CPU needs 10W of power according to the specs from Intel. I could not find good test benchmarks compared to the J4125, but I only see the difference for the integrated graphics. As I always connect using RDP, I could also buy the Quieter2 model. Did not test it with multiple monitors, but the HDMI output on my 27′ looked awesome. As it ships with Windows 11 Pro, I installed Hyper-V and could run a VM on it (out of curiosity). Also docker works effortless. I can totally recommend the device.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is excellent functionality at this price point. The Quiet3Q came configured with Windows 11. After plugging in a KB, mouse and monitor it booted quickly and Windows came up to complete the activation with no problems. The wifi worked immediately. The Vesa mount fit perfectly.

I’m very impressed with the build quality of the mini and the responsiveness of MeLE’s support. I sent them an email regarding support for the latest release (22.04) of Ubuntu and they responded promptly.

Since then I have installed Ubuntu with Budgie and that too went smoothly. One note regarding Ubuntu…the MeLE FAQ on installation describes changing two BIOS chipset settings to use Linux (OS Selection and South Cluster Config). This must be old news related to the previous Quieter 2 configuration as I didn’t find these settings in the BIOS and Linux booted from a USB drive and functioned fine without any additional BIOS changes.

I really like this. It’s tiny and passively cooled so well suited if you need something that can just disappear such as in a media system.

In my day job I mainly work on a Mac and have a desktop that’s usually booted into Linux so this is great to have a Windows machine on hand. That said, I generally have it booted into Ubuntu Linux. It was a bit of a pain to get it to boot but there was plenty of information online and it mainly required a couple of settings changes in the bios. I shouldn’t, but I keep this turned on permanently and in Linux it’s been perfectly stable.

It does have a USB-C connector for power but it would be nice to have a second one.

At 128GB it’s a pretty small drive but it does have a micro SD slot so that’s not such a big issue.

With the VESA mount it can also be mounted cleanly to the back of a monitor.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhen I first got this, I was really surprised by how small it was. I’m a big fan of mini PC’s and I already have two Intel NUC mini PC’s that I love. This mini PC is even smaller than my NUC’s, I mean it’s a little wider but it’s smaller in every other dimension. The metal case looks and feels great, it also works as the heatsink which means this doesn’t need and fan and is therefore completely silent. Depending on your needs you can install a speedy and larger M.2 SSD but if you’re using it as a server like me you probably won’t need it. To access my server I just remote into using RDP but I did connect it to my TV and had no issues watching videos in 4K. Performance wise it’s more than acceptable for general use, obviously gaming is a NO NO but general productivity apps are fine and you can easily watch 4K videos and therefore it would make a decent a Plex server. At the end of the day, there’s hundreds of things you could use this for, it would also be great for attaching to the back of a monitor to make your own all in one PC.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes a great little completely silent and compact server.
